Im doing a kitchen renovation project. I decided to go to this particular Lowe's because they have clearanced or sale items that tend to be only at this location. I entered and headed to the areas of my necessity. -Appliance and kitchen faucet areas. I walked around looking at refrigerators, stoves, dishwashers and more. The only issue was I needed to know which brands came in black stainless steel for all 4 appliances needed. After walking around needing help, I saw the seemingly only area worker assisting someone else. Thw gentleman saw mw definitely. As I waited, he finished up with the customer her was working with and then a lady walks up and he then helps them out disregarding my presence that had been in his face foe about 30 minutes. Another worker came to the area and then he motioned to her to halp me. This young lady is not really knowledge with anything. Need less to say I decided not ro get anything from here I value my time and money. read more

Long post: And this is the "short" version of what we went through. I am going to just put the facts out here about what we went through purchasing a dryer from Westminster Lowes. We went into the store to purchase a dryer because ours stopped working. We picked out a washer and a dryer so that we could have a matching set. They asked us if we had Natural gas and we informed them we had propane. We ordered the set that we liked 11/23 and Lowes delivered the set 11/29. The washer was hooked up the same day by the delivery people however we had to wait to have their plumbers (Mega Plumbing) come and install the dryer since it was propane on12/3. 12/3 I left work early to meet Mega Plumbing to hook up propane dryer. * My daughter called to let me know the dryer did not seem to be drying like it should. * I noticed the same as my daughter that something was just not right so I called Lowes to let them know and I was told they could send another dryer out, at no extra cost. (Should not be any extra cost) * I immediately called back after noticing FLAMES inside the dryer! (Video attached) * Lowes let me know that they would try to have that replacement dryer delivered sooner than later. They charged my husband's card for a second dryer (to be refunded upon return of first dryer) that was to be delivered 12/11. (They waived the delivery fee......how nice) * 12/11 I left work again to meet the delivery people who put the second new dryer in my mudroom which could not be hooked up because we had to have Mega plumbing come out to install. The installation date was scheduled for 12/17. (They waived the installation fee......they should have) * 12/13 We had family over to decorate Christmas cookies. My nephew is a plumber so while he was here, I asked him his opinion on what might have happened to cause flames inside our dryer. He walked over to the dryer, opened the door, and said this dryer is for natural gas. He proceeded to explain that a conversion kit should have been put on the dryer because the rate at which natural gas and propane dispense is different. * I called Lowes back 12/14 and let them know what my nephew told me. I was told that they had to look into this and they would get back to me. When I received the call back, I was informed that my nephew was 100% correct. I was then informed that the one dryer we purchased was NOT propane compatible. So, Lowes was having Mega Plumbing come back out 12/17 to hook up the same dryer the same way. Why did Lowes sell us a dryer that was not compatible with propane? Why did Mega plumbing not question hooking a natural gas dryer up to propane with no conversion kit? * Lowes found a dryer that was comparable to the one we purchased (so much for a matching set) and said it could be delivered 1/5. Lowes scheduled for pick-up of the second dryer to be picked up from the house 12/20. * My husband's card was charged for a third dryer (which would be refunded when the second dryer was returned). Lowes then called me back to let me know that this dryer needed a conversion kit that they did not sell, BUT I could order it off amazon. * 12/20 The second dryer that was delivered was picked up by Lowes and my husband's card was credited the charged amount. * 1/5 I left work to meet the delivery guys for the "new" dryer. I was told that Mega Plumbing would be out 1/12 for the installation. I explained I was NOT comfortable with this company, but I was told it was who they used, and it would be a different crew. * 1/12 I left work to meet the installation crew to hook up that third dryer. * We walked into Lowes 11/23/2025 for a dryer and 1/12/2026 we finally had one (not what we picked out) * The price of the first dryer was credited back to my husband's card. So, after being patient, calm, understanding, and hearing sorry more times than any customer should, do you know how we were compensated? Lowes so very graciously gave us a store gift card in the amount of $250! Selling us a natural gas dryer when we have propane, having a company come out and hook up this natural gas dryer without realizing it wasn't propane compatible, having to settle for a dryer we didn't pick, having flames inside our dryer, having to purchase a conversion kit from amazon because Lowes couldn't get it, and all the time from work for their mistakes is only worth $250! I failed to mention through all this not one time did any manager reach out to us. I called corporate and I was told that Lowes installation was the only one who could compensate us. read more

Lowe's shipped us a new dishwasher that was dented on the back which would cause a leak. Would not recommend getting appliances from them

We have shopped at Lowes for years...appliances, tools, you name it. I am now fully committed to Home Depot.In August of 2024 we purchased high-end Maytag dishwasher and 3 year warranty. The dishwasher broke on Dec. 20, 2025, the day of a 12 person Christmas dinner in my home. I went to the store and was put in touch with the service protection people who have given me the run around on every level. dont ever get there extended warranty they make excuses and don't honor there repairs. bought a stove from them and within a couple of days the grate was broken it took 9 months to get straightened out. with extended warranty after a couple of years igniters went up they said it wasnt covered because of some grease on the stove they will do anything to get out of paying. read more

The price on their website won't honor their own ad on the website. I will never shop at Lowe's again and I will contact consumer protection, Better Business Bureau and the corporate office on this matter they are complete idiots I guess the managers don't know how to Read plain English stupid in a bucket of bolts! I purchased a UTV from Lowes. This is a 4 wheel drive utility vehicle with a dump bed and a winch, this vehicle is used for farm and yard maintenance. First of all it took a long time for the staff to find someone willing to help us, then after the purchase it took another long wait for them to get the key and paperwork. Then they couldn't find the key to unlock the anti-theft wheel lock, it looked like the first time they had sold one of these. Then I found out from the manufacturer Lowes should have registered the UTV for the warranty to go into effect, when I called the manager at Lowes he said they never do that. Then when I went to register the UTV at the MVA I was told Lowes should not have collected the sales tax so it took 2 hours at the MVA to straighten that out so I could get a title as required in Maryland without paying the sales tax again, a matter of over $600.00. Another manager told me I didn't need a title and the receipt should be sufficient, wrong. The managers were rude, uninformed, wrong in their advice and unwilling to help. On of the managers said if I wasn't happy, bring it back for a refund. This is horrible customer service. I now just shop at Home Depot, where the employees are properly trained and very friendly and helpful. read more

My favorite home improvement store Lowe's. I was in there on May 7th 2019 and I walked in with my cane because I have trouble walking and keeping my balance. I found what I was looking for and checked out. When I went to my car I thought hey maybe I should get some house plants, so I hopped (lol) back into the store and headed straight for the house plants. While I was looking at some house plants I saw a plant that caught my eye it was the Mass Cane plant. So I picked out 2 of them and while heading back to the register a women stoped me and said these plants take a special soil called Palm Soil Now here where it gets real good, I came across a store employee and asked him to help me find this soil. His name was STEPHEN GRAYSON and I tell you, this guy was the BEST I have ever had help me in a store. He was with me for at lest 20 minutes trying to find this soil. This STEPHEN GRAYSON went completely out of his way to help me and he did not give up at all like most employees you run into nowadays that help you for a second and the run off after they can't find it they don't know where the item is located. STEPHEN GRAYSON is a asset to Lowe's. If you ever go into Lowe's in Westminster Maryland 21157 you must ask for Stephen because now he is my favorite store employee to help you find anything in the store. Just spent two hours there while Greg, clearly untrained on everything about his job, could not help us get a door ordered. Not the first time I've had horrendous customer service. Nice people mostly, but sometimes they are just aren't properly trained. Says a lot about management and it says you should avoid this store and look elsewhere. read more

Do not ship anything to your home from Lowes, they use Useless FedEx who leave your package at street and you pay for that. HomeDepot uses UPS and brings product to your home as it should. Forget Lowes, delivery terrible. read more

We got what we wanted which is worth 3 stars, and the helper worker dudes tried to help, but they kept going to the wrong places to find stuff. We needed a piece of wire to replace one that was chewed by a mouse on my sister's lawn tractor. A mouse made a HUGE nest under the cowl of the tractor during the winter, I guess that wire had to go. We got the wire in the electrical department along with a snap connector to attach to existing ends. It's just that the helper worker kept looking in the lawnmower section for the wire. Nice place, friendly employees, and I love their Lawn and Garden section! They have some older guys working there...seem to know what they're doing and I appreciate the work ethic. Also like the pet friendly policy! So much nicer than shopping at Home Depot. Their telephone system, though....ohmigosh. I needed a bunch of stuff at Lowes..first thing was a replacement wooden slate for a porch swing. I first went to lumber..they sent me to the garden center( opposite end of the store) this is where i found TAMERA. She was AMAZING!!! practically took me by the hand and walked me back to lumber to have a piece of wood cut to fit my swing..walked me back to the garden center and helped me with all of my questions on gmo free plants. Today I went in to have plexiglass cut, I had a ton of sizes and immediately got helped on a busy Sunday without complaints of all the variants needed. The gentleman working in the windows and doors counter saw my kids were bored- they asked if they could make paper airplanes with them for outdoor flying. My three were instantly intrigued and had a class on building the best flying planes..... it's the little things. Solid job Lowe's with great staff :) read more

The absolute worst. Recently we bought a new Samsung refrigerator with bottom-freezer and also a lawn tractor. The bottom-freezer handle came off within days of installation and the tractor takes several attempts to start. Worst of all in June we paid for a new dishwasher, including installation. Lowes has missed several installation deadlines and making things worse is they don't call either....crickets. they don't return calls either. It is now September and we still have no dishwasher or solid update. This is the worst run store I have ever dealt with. Very disappointing - many neighbors have similar opinion of this store. Went to plumbing department with LOTS of questions. Jim in plumbing was very knowledgeable and friendly, and answered all our questions. We need at least $400 in plumbing stuff to fix our problems and we will definitely come back here because they were so helpful. We really don't want to rate this due to the work is still not done.We have been waiting to get our front door installed since 7/16/2017.Nearly two months !!.WE get a run around every time that we call about it The store blames the installer and the installer blames the store.We had to pay the the bill the other in which we did not want to though we did not want a late fee.We just had a big gathering at our house and really wanted the new door to be on.Not sure how to handle this anymore but we are very upset over this matter. read more

This store is clean, good layout and has good stock. The issue is customer service. Their store manager and department managers do not care about delivering on the promises they made. Never use them for any kind of install work as they charge you up front and then don't finish the job. They are unresponsive and typical corporate about responsive. They stole over one thousand dollars from me in custom blind work they never did. I am still fighting with them to get a refund. Avoid this location at all costs!!! read more

Will never use again. I had a fence put in and paid about $6,500 for 1/8 of an acre. First off, they make you call Miss Utility even though youre paying them to do the job for you. Second, they used contractors that left without the job being done on the first day (and Lowes never said it could be a two day job), left my yard a WRECK and came back the next day without even telling me they were on my property. They finished that day and left two palettes in my driveway including unused gravel and concrete. They left plastic and trash all in my backyard. Took forever to get a response on anything from Lowes and then when they did respond, they acted like they were doing me a favor by removing the items that shouldn't have been left and crediting back the unused materials. Thanks so much??!? When I eventually spoke to the assistant store manager, he gave a half hearted apology and attempted to give me 10% off my next purchase. No thanks. After I pay off my fence, I'll close my Lowes credit card and won't be purchasing there again. My mom always told me that Lowes had terrible customer service and that's why she uses Home Depot. Lesson learned. I'll stick with Home Depot from now on. read more
