We used the self checkout, however, service here is great too. I would definitely come back here for their nursery as it was a little bigger and had more variety than Home Depot and I would definitely be coming here for their rugs, again, more variety. Today was the Final time I will shop at this store. This was my FOURTH bad experience in a row. I'm disabled so i use "Curbside Pickup". It USEd to work. But NO MORE. I placed my order online Sunday. Today is Tuesday. (The order was allegedly ready Sunday evening). We live 40 miles away in the Mountains. I pulled into the "Curbside Pickup" area, got on my phone, clicked the appropriate links, and got a message saying "An associate is bringing your order" or something to that effect. Then we SAT and Sat and Sat and waited and Waited. FOR NOTHING. I walked inside (Disabled Guy) and the lady at the pickup desk looked at me as if I had a Horn growing out of my Face. They clearly had NO CLUE I had been waiting and waiting in the 100 degree parking lot. And OBVIOUSLY didn't CARE. Even after I TOLD them. She had the audacity to ask if I Was "at the right store" well sister....next time I WILL be at the right store. And It will have a Home Depot sign on it. DO NOT BUY CARPET FROM LOWES!! Unfortunately, we did so in November 2023. We paid over $7,000 to re-carpet several rooms in our residence. The carpet we purchased was the most expensive offered. Within five months the carpet displayed areas that looked like a toy tank with tracks had gone over it. Keep in mind only my wife and I live in the residence, and we are both in our mid-seventies so there is not a lot of foot traffic. The carpet had been in our residence for approximately seven months when we filed a claim with Lowes. Upon their request we sent several photos of the damaged areas to them. At first they refused to send anyone to examine the carpet and wanted to conduct the "investigation" over the phone. We kept requesting someone to come and inspect the carpet and a "carpet expert" was finally sent. After several weeks we received an email advising us that our claim had been denied and that the damage had been caused by being "crushed" as the result of "normal wear". We requested a copy of the report the "carpet expert" had completed and were told their policy prohibited us from receiving one. They did send a copy of the warranty which we had not been provided with previously. It did state that carpet determined to have been "crushed" was not covered under their warranty. The fact that we are frustrated and angered by Lowes' lack of assistance and failure to stand behind the quality of their product goes without saying. I was very disappointed with their returns policy now. I wanted to return two unopened packages of kobalt pliers sets as I did not have a receipt. They would not accept the returns not even for store credit and would not let me talk to a manager about the situation. I spend a lot of money in the store and that's very disappointing that they have a problem with returns. My cooktop went out. I ordered a new one from Lowe's on Mooney. I paid to have them come and measure, since they will not guarantee the fit unless they measure. They came and measured, said the cooktop I wanted would fit. They ordered the cooktop and said they would schedule the installation when it came in. The cooktop was not here, they had to get it from Clovis. They called on the 10th and said it was in and they would pick it up and install. I was showing online that it was not in yet and told them that. They said no it is here. They have you pay for everything before it is done, so that was taken care of. On the 10th after getting two install times of 8am-12pm and 2pm to 5 pm and calling trying to find out which it was. They never called back until they called to say it was not in and they would not install that day. Then I started getting emails and text messages saying it was in on the 11th and online showed it was in. The emails said I needed to pick it up. When I contacted them to say it was supposed to be installed, they said, "Oh just disregard the texts and emails, we know it is to be installed. They will call you to schedule in the next couple of days. In the meantime I am getting texts and emails telling me if I did not pick it up, they would cancel. I contacted install people when I did not get a call. They put me on hold and called Lowes to see if it was indeed in. Lowes told them it was not there! I called Lowes - gave them the last 4#s of the order and they said it was in. I explained to them that when the install people called, they told them it was not in. ONG, I am feeling harassed and stressed but everything is paid for, it's not like I can cancel at this time. I call the Customer Service and they say they called and the appliance department says it is there and waiting for the install people. I asked them to call the install people and let them know this. He said he did and that they would call to schedule by Tuesday. It is Friday. On Saturday, I get an email from Lowes saying that I need to pick the Cooktop up within 4 days or they would cancel the cooktop, I call Customer Service, they guy says Oh those emails are not accurate, just disregard. I tell him I am afraid if I disregard, the cooktop would be cancelled. He called the store and then came back on and said the cooktop is there it is set in the back and marked that the install people will pick it up. Do not worry! This is how it works. I tell him there is nothing that is "working" here. He said the installers will call and schedule by Tuesday, hmm Tuesday, that is the same day the email said they would cancel if it is not picked up. I say ok but I am still concerned. We hang up and I then get an email saying I have canceled the install. OMG!! Really?! I forwarded this to Jim in the Appliance Department, which is who I have been dealing with at the store. I haven't heard back and I am beginning to wonder if I will ever get this cooktop that is already paid for, including measuring and install. I will do an up date if/when this is finished. read more

Used Lowe's Home Services for our new flooring project and they are absolutely terrible. Installed bamboo flooring upstairs and downstairs. The installer, for whatever reason, used a nail gun while installing the downstairs flooring... on a concrete subfloor... needless to say that didn't work out. Nails began sticking out of the wood floor. They didn't bother to level the cement subfloor before installation. Had to make them come back, pull up the entire downstairs flooring, and reinstall it correctly. They never bothered to mention that they don't paint baseboards, so now we've got brand new baseboards that are primered and look scuffed. Awful. The staff sucks and gives me issues nearly every time I go there to purchase an item (Ex: they placed a bundle of items in the wrong section and I think what is an $8 baseboard turns out to be $16 per baseboard- guys it's not rocket science, YOU placed 20 baseboards under an $8 section with no $16 price in sight AND they sell that exact $8 baseboard at Demaree) or refund a product I bought too many of. They take FOREVER to process and don't seem to understand their own system. So why 5 stars? Ken. Ken is a rockstar and knows how to handle customers and is a natural leader. Whenever I go there I see an angry customer and Ken putting out fires and doing it with a smile. I actually feel bad for the guy because It's clear he's a good dude doing his best. I recently had a sink measured for my kitchen renovation. I went to this location in order to view sinks and order one. When approaching associates I asked for help, and was automatically cut off with an associate,who was stocking an aisle next to the sinks, answering very loudly, "What about it?" The other associate that was assisting them by just standing around came over to help, but was completely uninterested and rude in helping me. There is only one lady who knows how to key locks. We had bought a house that needed 7 door locks keyed to the same key and no one could do it but this one lady. Don't get me wrong, she is absolutely amazing! But I would ask when she would be in and they would say she is scheduled for Saturday. We would come back Saturday, she wasn't there. I asked when will she be in next and they said Sunday. We went back Sunday and somebody said oh yeah she'll never come in on Sundays. We wasted our time going back and further because no one ever knew when she would be in. At least 3 people or more should know how to key locks!!! read more

If you need to shop at a home improvement store. I would suggest you find a different one. Eye placed a mobile order of plywood, and when I went to pick it up, the store only gave me warped boards. In addition to that, when I started cutting into them, the board started to split. I took them back and got an exchange. At first, the person who helped me to try to give me the exact same Returne Wood. He told me that he would get my wood from a new set and that it would take about ten minutes. Forty-five minutes later, I had to pay for an Uber to go to work because the employee was stopping to help every other customer instead. I left my partner at the store while I went to work. Thirty minutes later in my order still is not loaded into my truck. My partner went in to ask what was going on, and the store employees attacked her. The story employees told her that they couldn't load her truck because there were people in the way, and they weren't willing to ask them to move. Then the employees got hostile. They started to blame her, saying that she was the reason that they couldn't load my truck. They then started to drive the fork left AT her. They told her "get out of the fucking way" and drove at her. At this point another customer starts screaming, and not one darn employee tried to help or intervene. Not to mention when this was explained to the manager who finally came, as my wife was in tears, all she did was walk her out to the car. If I could give this location a 0 star rating I would. I actually wish that I was born with an extra set of arms, just to give this place 4 thumbs down!!!!!! So we purchased a Dryer and was supposed have it delivered and installed the following weekend. The store kept sending different delivery times, which was confusing to begin with. Turns out, one of the staff attached it as separate order which added confusion to an already clueless staff. So the delivery guys arrive, unbox the Dryer, and of course it looks like it's literally been hit by a damn train! So after rearranging our schedule to accommodate the delivery, not only has our time been wasted, but we STILL have no way to dry our clothes! After refusing the delivery we called the Visalia Mooney blvd location to get it sorted out. Of course and with all retail in today's world, not only was there absolutely no apology, but no real offer of a discount for our inconvenience! She asked the employee named Elizabeth who was working in the Bathroom department if they had a specific sink and she just did a quick glance and told my mom no. So my mom thinking they were out went ahead with her shopping. She decided to walk back to the bathroom department and lo and behold she found the exact one she was asking for. I went into this location and ordered screen dolors for my 80 year old mother home. The contractor came out and measured the door. After that I called a week or so later and Lowe's told me the contractor never sent the measurements when in fact Lowe's didn't put the measurements in their computer. So I was told the gentleman handle this order wasn't in and to call back, so ai did. TI then waited another week then went in and and paid for everything and was told if you don't hear from the contractor to call them back. Again, it's been 2 weeks and still hadn't heard so I called again m. The salesman told me I don't know what's going on but I'll get a email sent over to get them moving then continues to tell me if I don't hear from them by Monday or Tuesday to call them again m. Absolutely no follow through on Lowes part and blaming the contractor. I've had to push them every step of the way to try and get this done. I bought a dishwasher last time and service was absolutely fantastic. This time was another story. I was in the market to buy a new gas range and things were going fine until we got to checkout. I wanted to confirm their return/exchange/price match policy and they told me that it was 30 days from the date of purchase. This would have been fine if not for the fact that I wouldn't be able to receive the product until three weeks later due to being out of stock. I asked if they could make the 30 day policy from time of delivery since, otherwise, I'd have only about 7 days to try and make sure the product was working fine. They outright refused and didn't even seem to understand what was being talked about. Naturally, I refuse to purchase a product that doesn't have a reasonable trial period. Make sure you double-check all the policies regarding your purchase so you don't get screwed over! These purchases are more like contracts, and you don't want to get stuck with something that you may later regret. Good luck and happy shopping! read more

I purchased flooring and installation from Lowes. The installers pulled up the old flooring and mentioned that the floor wasn't level but said no more about it. The next morning, an hour before the installers were about to arrive I got a call from Lowes telling me that I would have to pay an extra $700+ to get the job finished. The flooring installers were shocked that Lowes expected that much money and said that they would get none of the money and knew nothing about the extra charge. The money would have gone directly to Lowes for work the installers were supposed to do. I feel like it was an attempted extortion and the flooring is being installed without the extra money. I was in a vulnerable position with my floors torn up and Lowes threat that they wouldn't complete the job without the extra money. Avoid signing contracts with them and watch the fine print. The "incidental expenses " clause is an excuse to jack up the prices in the middle of the job. read more

Pretended I did not hear it and kept walking. I am not being paid to be a checker. Not my job. On top of that, I had one , ONE,bolt. Because I could not scan the 22 cent item, after I had paid for my other stuff, I tried to find an employee to give the 22 cents too. I see quite a few poor reviews for this particular Lowe's, which is surprising to me because I just had a wonderful experience at this store thanks to a very helpful and patient employee, Javier! I usually have a hard time even locating an employee at big stores such as this, but as I was wandering aimlessly, trying to figure out which tiles and which glue would work best for my bathroom mirror tile project, a friendly, competent, patient man appeared and listened to me try to explain my objective, lol! Javier then proceeded to walk me around and show me different options, and explained (in a non-patronizing manner!) how some tiles and some glues would work better for me than the original options I had in mind. He even took the time to walk me to their in-store mirrors to show me exactly what he meant...like a helpful visual aid filed trip:) As it turned out, I would be better off NOT getting Liquid Nails, but rather clear-drying silicone to stick the tiles in place along the bottom edge of my mirror. I was trying to hide the common ugly, black creeping discoloration that often develops on older mirrors once the silver nitrate coating starts to wear off. Also he explained to me that I needed a black color on the back of the tiles to avoid them just reflecting in the mirror itself. I thanked Javier, snapped his pic and bought my items and did my project that very night. It turned out beautifully and did exaclty what I had hoped...hid an ugly mirror! (See pics!) So, thank-you to Javier and thank you to the guys earlier in the week, too, who were so helpful assisting with our tree selection. Very disappointed. I choose Lowes and figured we wouldnt have issues. They started by attempting to brake up the tile. They were unsuccessful and caused some damage that cost us additional $400. Then the subcontractor walked away, saying they will not do this section and it was our responsibility to get someone else to do it and they want a call to finish the project once the tile was done. Remind you we set our schedule to accommodate them. So we had to spend a whole day making calls to get someone. After several calls they gave us almost all our money back. The biggest thing is the tile is very sharp and we have kids and they left it that way. If I could post pictures I would. read more
