Service tech was very kind and professional but didn't really do anything except unplug my washer, check the filter for the water hoses and run a normal empty cycle (water only no clothes) to see if the agitator worked correctly. I was still charged $40 for the visit even though he found nothing wrong with my washer. The only recommendation was to use less clothes when washing so clothes can wash properly and more efficiently. ‍ read more

Our fridge went out on Friday afternoon at 4pm. S&J was out Saturday at 10am, diagnosed the problem in 3 minutes, ordered the part, and installed the part as soon as it came in on Tuesday. Service charge to come out was $40 and all total repair for new motherboard/service charge/labor was $300. The guys work fast and are no-nonsense and we will definitely be calling this company again should anything go wrong! read more

On Thursday night my oven broke. Just would not work. Called property management and they couldn't get a guy out to my house because it was the Holiday weekend... My refrigerator started acting up since December, making loud knocking sounds and the freezer was icing up pretty solid. I realized the fan was no good and the problem was bigger than an ice build up. I found these guys number on yelp. I prefer local businesses if possible. We spoke at 10am, I mentioned what my observations were and he said he can come see for $10 and within 2 hours would arrive. Long story short, I'm terrible with names, but the guy was on time, no dilly dally, replaced the fan motor and had my fridge back to normal by 1230. Although the motor was more than $10, it was a lot cheaper than if all my food would have spoiled, or bought a new fridge and the hassle of eating out of ice chests for days...Thanks guy! So a week ago my washer quit draining. Thinking the worst I waited until payday to call someone for a service call. When I asked what they charged to come out he said $10.00. I repeated $10.00?!?! That's it?!? And he replied, "yes." Then a man with quite the mustache showed up 30 minutes later and fixed my problem in no time all while humming and singing. (It was like I was in a musical)When I told him I didn't have cash he said not to worry that I could go by their shop and pay when I could. Who does business like that anymore?!?! I remember hearing my grandparents and great grandparents doing business with a handshake but for god sake it's 2017! I never thought I would ever come across anyone that operated like that. Decent prices and friendly staff. Ive bought my refrigerator and 2 dryers from this store. My first dryer I had for only 2 years, bummer, So I had to buy another one today. The refrigerator that I bought from them 2 years ago still works except for the ice maker. The ice maker went out in a week, they repared it for free, they have a 30 day warranty. I was extremely discouraged after calling around to all the local appliance repair businesses "recommended" by the manufacturer of my appliance. I was looking at a wait time of 3 to 8 days, and a minimum of $50 just for an evaluation. Then I called S & J. They were at my house within 2 hours of my call, and repaired my washer in just a few minutes, and only cost me $10!! I called them again later in the week for another problem, and this time they took it to the "hospital" and returned it the next morning, installed and ready to go, also at a fair cost. Our dryer wasn't heating up, so dad decided to fix it himself. He purchased a part from this company for 60 something dollars. 1) no receipt was given 2) the part was used. Once my dad say the part he went back to get it replaced for a new one, the employee told him to return the following business day. Well, we called them to come to our home and check the dryer cause my dad couldn't figure out how to put the dryer back. NOT to replace any parts. The guy working on it said that the coils needed to be replaced. I said ok, since i didn't know which part my dad had replaced (it was the coils, that he purchased from them). Shame on this old man who tried to charge 100 dollars for the part. It all seemed kind of odd so I called my dad to find out what he had bought and to inform him what they were going to charge. My dad was outraged and spoke to the man working on the dyer. I could here my dad through the phone being very upset at the service, plus how they were being dishonest. The worker knew it didn't need the parts replaced but played stupid. Needless to say, they have lost our business plus I wasn't going to dare pay him a dime for wasting our time. He probably figured he could play me since I'm a female and my dad wasn't home to set them straight. Please so business with another company that will ne honest, and respect you as a customer!!! read more
