My LG refrigerator from Costco stopped working with an "FF E" error code. Due to it being 2.5 years…read moreold (outside the 2 year warranty), I had to get it fixed myself. He came out and opened the freezer door, noted the frost on the inside and proceeded to tell me the freezer fan was not providing cooled air to the refrigerator and the ice was preventing the fan from circulating. This was all correct. He then stated that the frost build up was due to "insulation going bad" and I need to contact LG to see if they will replace it and that "there was nothing" he could do. In less than 5 minutes of arriving, said "that'll be $85." I was stunned and told him to point out the cold spots on the back of the fridge that he said he found. I couldn't feel them and he then got a laser thermometer. My house thermostat is set to 69°F and the coldest spot he found on my refrigerator was 67°F. I refused to pay him. Do not use him. Full stop. I am sadly not surprised there is another review on here from someone else who he did the same thing to. I used another business that actually has a reputable track record and a professional technician will at least provide an actual diagnosis and total cost upfront. He didn't even look up the error code.

We were in need of purchasing a refrigerator, washer and dryer for our new home…read more The big box stores Home depot and Lowes had delivery delays of 3 to 6 weeks (way to long). As we entered the store we were greeted by Mike he was very nice and pleasant (that's always a good start). We told him what we were looking for he showed us a few appliances at different price points and explained the difference. Mike is very knowledgeable and answered all of our questions. We purchased an LG refrigerator, washer and dryer. Our appliances were delivered in a week and a half. The store is clean and well maintained there is plenty of parking. The customer service was exceptional and made for a pleasant shopping experience.

Angels Are at Driskell's Appliance & TV…read more Replacing my older built-in dishwasher turned into an ordeal I never expected. After researching countless models and visiting the big-box stores, I finally chose one and ordered it online from a large warehouse club. I paid in full, scheduled delivery, and waited--only to have the installer arrive and immediately tell me he couldn't install it because my dishwasher was hardwired. Even though the wiring was right there, he refused, and then simply left. Trying to solve the problem, I called an electrician, only to learn that--because of the layout of my kitchen--a GFCI outlet under the sink wouldn't even be reachable. The dishwasher had to remain hardwired. No major store was willing to do that, so I had no choice but to return the dishwasher. I still needed one, but I was out of options. Then I found Driskell's--and that's where the angels truly are. Gail was my first angel. She didn't hesitate for a second: "Of course we can hardwire it. Most homes are." She then price-matched a competitor on an even better model--more features, better quality, and still affordable. When the first unit arrived with damage right out of the box and later failed, Natalie became my second angel. She took ownership of the situation immediately. Instead of making me battle the manufacturer, she handled everything herself and arranged a full replacement. She genuinely wanted me to be happy with my purchase, and her commitment went far beyond anything a chain store would ever offer. My replacement dishwasher is a gem--quiet, reliable, and beautifully installed. But the real treasure is discovering a local store that truly stands behind its customers. Driskell's earned my trust, my gratitude, and all of my future business. There's no question about it: the angels are at Driskell's.

I showed him the pics of the load causing the washer to fail and the error code displayed. He pushed down on the tub and said there's nothing wrong with it. He blamed it on the design of the washer and told me not to wash small loads! The dryer was running 230 degrees on High and looked at nothing else. He never opened the machine! He blamed it on a blocked flange airflow problem w/o looking at the flange. He suggested at my expense changing the ventilation to louvers which would require chipping away stucco! When my neighbor and I pulled the tubing and looked at the flange there was NO BLOCKAGE and the flange was working fine. I called him and he refused to come back out! Bob's Complete Appliance Repair was paid for doing nothing and making inaccurate assumptions. FAHW sent Appliance Superheroes and they found the washer suspension needs replacement plus another part! They took the dryer apart, said it looked very good and checked the airflow. There was plenty of air flow! Their conclusion was fixing the washer should fix the drying issue.

On top of that the tenant let me know the washer wasn't working very well, which may explain how the dryer broke. (If the clothes weren't getting wrung out before being put in the dryer, it probably was too much weight for the dryer.) The service man from Mr Z's (I think his name was Ira) went out and fixed the dryer again, and fixed the washer. He charged me nothing for this second trip, because he guaranteed his work. Of course, this is better than a guarantee- the dryer probably only broke again because it was mistreated, and he never even billed me for the washer! I told him I owed him at least the cost of the parts he used, but I totally forgot about it until last week. Ira, thank you so much for your work. That was several months ago and the tenants just confirmed again that everything is in good condition.
