I am not a fan of how few Lowe`s we have compared to Home Depot , since this can be a drive for few of us . On the other hand the good thing about this Lowe`s is that its very close to Costco , Walmart and a few other stores and hence you can make the most of the visit by doing the rest of your shopping on the same day . well stocked for tools but not so much for plants and other things . I was looking to buy a few trees for my yard and almost 70% of them were in very bad shape . I did buy a few but I am not sure how long they will survive . The staff is non -existent and it was extremely hard to catch hold of anyone on my few other trips as well . I have been coming to this location for a few years but have always found them lacking in customer service.

The young men at Lowe's home improvement went above and beyond. I highly recommend this location. I have excellent customer service every time I walk into the tigard location. Big shout out to Alex , Rowan and Zach !!!!

    I think it's a little lopsided...

Everybody we asked questions to was super helpful. They all had smiles on their faces and while we were stressed it was very easy.

This happened about three months ago, but I wanted to share my experience getting a spare key made…read moreand programmed at this Ace Hardware. I ordered a spare key online, and within about an hour, I received an email saying that my key was ready for pickup. When I arrived, the employee helping me told me that I needed an appointment to have the key programmed. This was my first time having a key made, so if the website or confirmation email had explained that an appointment was required, I absolutely would have made one ahead of time. Another employee then came over and, in a rather rude manner, told me to come back the next morning when another employee would be there to help me. Since it seemed that only one employee was trained to make and program keys, as well as handle the paint department, I was a little surprised that there wasn't someone else available, especially on a weekend. However, I was understanding and told them I would return the next morning when they opened. The next day, I returned and once again explained to a different employee why I was there and what I had been told the day before. Unfortunately, they had no idea what had happened and there seemed to be no communication about the situation. Fortunately, the employee who was able to make and program the keys was there. After waiting a few minutes, she made the key and was ready to program it--until we discovered that the tablet used for programming had died because it had not been put on the charger overnight. She told me we could wait for the tablet to charge, and I said that was completely fine. I could also see that customers were waiting for assistance in the paint department, so I didn't want to keep bothering her while she was busy. I ended up waiting for about an hour. At that point, the line of customers needing help in the paint department had grown, so I asked another available associate if they could check whether the tablet had charged. They came back and let me know that the battery level hadn't changed. At that point, I decided to leave. I had already been there for about an hour and a half, and I asked the associate if they could let the employee know that I would be returning for a THIRD time the following day. I also called a couple of hours later to make sure she knew I would be coming back and thanked her for her help. When I returned for the third time, the employee made sure the tablet was fully charged that morning and got right to work. She was very kind and apologetic about the fact that this had become my third attempt to get the key programmed. Her attitude was completely different from the other two employees, who seemed frustrated with me for not knowing that an appointment was required. I want to give the employee who ultimately helped me 5 stars. She was kind, patient, and did everything she could to finally get the job done. However, based on the overall experience and the lack of clear communication about the appointment requirement, I would give the experience and website communication 2 stars. If the website or confirmation email had clearly explained that an appointment was required, and if there had been better communication between employees, this could have been a much smoother experience.

It isn't ever VERY busy there. The staff is nice, pleasant but in comparison to the Tigard store, this one is bare, harder to find things and just not as well organized. Ace is pricey, you're not going to get THE best value on most items but that's okay if you are in a rush or have an emergency. But you will OCCASIONALLY find a real deal. It's just not often lol. It's convenient but definitely not my #1 choice for Home Improvement.

When I arrived at the paint counter and asked to have the cans shaken I was abruptly interrupted with a very rude "I won't shake up that can" by someone named Jaron. I was very taken aback by his rudeness since I've had many cans of previously opened paint shaken up there before. When I asked why (in total confusion) Jaron said "I don't want your paint all over my paint shaker". I was so confused at this point I moved on to ask for help with the can of paint I needed to purchase. Jaron was just incredibly rude and refused to help by being short and condescending. I picked out my own paint. I then asked to talk to Chris, the store manager and now I know exactly why the employees act like this at this store! Chris said "I am sorry you feel that way" and tried to justify Jaron's actions by stating thy someone's can of paint spilled in their shaker. I am not at all upset that ace no longer shakes up previously opened paint cans - that is perfectly within the store's right to decide and I was very clear with Chris on that!! I am, however, appalled at how rude Jaron was and how Chris didn't listen to my concern about Jaron's attitude and instead tried to justify it with an explanation of why they don't shake up cans anymore. I reiterated I wasn't upset that they don't shake up paint cans anymore and Chris repeated, "I'm sorry you feel that way!" The number one comment narcissists make is "I'm sorry you feel that way"! The first rule of customer service is to never blame the customer and that is exactly what Chris did with a narcissistic comment. I asked to speak to Bob, the owner but have not had a call yet. This store needs a new mgr (just read the reviews here - this is a pattern) and some education in customer service. Don't waste your time here! Take your business to Lowe's or Home Depot!
