Just needed to take a minute to give a shoutout to Andrew at Parkrose. I have been in several times recently and Andrew has helped me with different purchases. He is always friendly, helpful, knowledgable and positive. I've been shopping this neighborhood store for years and none of the people there even remember that I've been in. So strange to me. It's retail and that's how you keep customers. Anyhow, I can always count on a positive experience with Andrew. He goes above and beyond. Thank you Andrew. And Parkrose, he should be your store Manager. He gets the drill. Previous managers didn't even look at customers, they just walk by without a hello. Andrew is your guy. read more

I had an exceptional experience at Parkrose Hardware in West Linn this morning. Nick and James both went above and beyond in helping me with a faulty screw in one of my most favorite Disney Decorations. The definitely persevered because it was not an easy job, it took some time but they did it! I can't say enough about the time and effort they took to help me. Parkrose Hardware has amazing employees who exceed all standards, I highly recommend shopping there! Thank you Nick and James, I appreciate you! read more

Overall Parkrose Hardware has anything you would need from tools, garden, furniture, plants, snacks and anything in between. Love the staff!

Ok it's been a few years since I tried this store again, even though it's closer than Home Depot. So I decided they must carry a simple 3/4" pvc coupling right? Wrong! It's like going to a grocery store and it's out of wheat bread! My only option for a simple sprinkler fix there was to buy either a galvanized coupling for $5 or a copper something for $13 instead of $2 pvc fitting! Neither of these are appropriate for typical irrigation work. On top of that, a quart of floetrol paint additive is $3 more than Home Depot! So frustrated, I put everything I had to buy back on the shelf and drove to Home Depot where I should have gone to begin with. Staff are courteous enough at Parkrose, but I get way better service, experience, price and reliability from HD! And by the way Home Depot had 2 boxes of my couplings out on the shelf, and more stock above. Not sure if it's the management in West Linn or it's just the way this "local" chain operates, but I'm not wasting my time driving there again! Two star review before, one star now! read more

The lack of help and interest in help was notable. Not motivated to see if they can do better in the same way they weren't motivated to look to see if they had the item I wanted and just said, "I don't know." read more

Customer service is great!they know what they are doing and take you straight to the item instead of just pointing you in the right direction which is really helpful. read more

Best hardware store in the Portland metroplex. They carry such a wide array of hard to find hardware and fasteners.

I always appreciate the very friendly service and it's a great little local hardware store!

Unfortunately, we have had to use Parkrose on several occasions and always wonder how they stay in business. Today, Manager Lexi provided the poorest, least amount of customer service possible for an issue over a product we purchased at her store. This location deserves every poor review they receive. read more

I had a small project I took in hoping I could find a part to fix. I asked an employee if they thought the part I found would work. She asked her coworker Vincent if he could help. Not only did he help, he actually took the time to use the part I bought to fix it for me! The employees there are always so friendly and helpful. Vincent, thank you for your help, you are a great asset to the company along with being the best kind of people!! read more

I've been going here since the day they opened, and love the shopping experience so much more than Home Depot or Lowe's, but of course they don't have lumber. The store is bright, clean, and perfectly organized. The store associates are helpful. read more

I love hardware stores. I'm the type of person who visits hardware stores when I'm traveling. I particularly love the Parkrose Hardware group of stores in the Portland area. They are homeowner focused, the staff is knowledgeable and friendly. Today I want to shout out West Linn's rental and repair department. Yes, you can repair your better quality tools! And, if you bring something old, or interesting, it may even become a bit of a legend. Here you will find honest assessment and clear next steps. I highly recommend the West Linn Parkrose Hardware store! read more

We stopped in this location to check out their equipment rental and discovered that it's also a very nice, well stocked store! We rented a grinder from the rental desk but they seem to be limited on the equipment they have available. Many were in need of repairs so they were unavailable but I think that also shows they take good care of the maintenance on their equipment. The store has tons of items for your yard, garden, grilling, small home repair, tools and hardware needs. They even have some clothings, feed items and the biggest selection of bottled sodas I've seen locally. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Great store! read more

Parkrose Hardware - Bottled soda wall - Hardware Stores Near Me - West Linn, Oregon

Tried to buy a Stihl mower today; there was no one to help me and a manager with an attitude that tried to charge me double for a spare battery. Had a great experience spending a $1000 last year and a rotten experience today. Tough to find and keep good people..........JP read more

To every local, this is the location that woulda, coulda, shoulda be Trader Joe's. But, no amount of begging and pleading made it so, and after years of speculation this former grocery store has become a new location of Parkrose Hardware. Much hand wringing went into this announcement because there is an Ace Hardware just blocks away, but after visiting the store, I have to admit that I'm impressed. Parkrose fits the niche in between the local Ace Hardware (small hardware store) and the home improvement behemoths, Home Depot and Lowe's, neither of which are in West Linn. Talking to their employees, Parkrose is geared towards the homeowner rather than the contractor. A little bit of everything from outdoor BBQs, to seasonal decorations, clothing (Carhartt), bathroom and kitchen fixtures, yard supplies (lawnmowers to chainsaws), and so much more. They also have items for rent for both work (aerators, thatchers, mowers, and trimmers) and play (bounce rooms, cotton candy makers, etc.). A large section of the store is dedicated to Outdoor Living with Weber, Traeger, and Napolean Grills and Big Green Egg Kamado Cookers. What I first took for stacks of soil, were actually bags of different grilling accessories. I also enjoyed all the housewares and home decor items in the store. The space is huge, so easy to safely distance compared to the cramped aisles at Ace Hardware and leashed dogs are welcome. I'm also pretty excited about having most of my needs met locally rather than trips to Home Depot in O.C. which can be a zoo on weekend mornings. While they don't have a massive selection of everything, they cover most of the bases for the average home repair, maintenance, and entertaining needs. Welcome to the neighborhood, Parkrose Hardware. read more

I always love coming to Parkrose. Savannah is always so helpful and kind! she always helps me to find what I need. she is a great face of Parkrose! read more

I moved to West Linn from NorCal several months ago (new grandchild) - I am a retired property manager having owned rental properties since 1983. I've sent a LOT of time in hardware stores !!! I witnessed the decline and closure of all the Mom & Pop places I counted on over the years for expertise and advice. To say I am thrilled to have discovered Parkrose is an understatement. Expertise aside, it is the friendliness of the staff that has stopped me in my tracks. I jokingly said to one the other day that hardware stores are so much more than hardware stores for a community. The only thing that would take Parkrose to the next level would be a Beer Garden !! Sometimes you just want to hang out with other "house proud" folks and talk about your favorite projects. read more

Today a friend and I were looking for screws. They didn't seem to concerned with trying to find the right screw we needed. They made comments like "out of all the screws we have one of them should work" but they didn't have the best customer service and will to actually try and find the screw we needed. We made a comment although it was being honest and they asked us to leave mind you we are ethnic and everyone working in their establishment was white. We definitely experienced racism today. read more

Went in on a busy Sunday after Thanksgiving. Only one cashier. She was tied up with a customer who was trying to return items. Line for checkout kept building and building. I was #8 in line when I joined, wanted to buy items totaling $12. Cashier stayed in discussion with the customer, left briefly to find help, finally a manager arrived but still they focused on the single customer with the complicated return. No reinforcements arriving, no additional cashiers, wondering if these are the only two employees that can act as cashiers?? Line up to 13 customers waiting. After more than 10 minutes [finally], first cashier opens another checkout station and others begin to check out. Very busy day, understaffed it seems and totally unaware of the folks waiting. I could have driven five miles to Home Depot in Oregon City, bot my two items there with self checkout and saved myself a lot of wasted time. Not good, Parkrose Hardware. read more

I didn't want to like this place (because I love the fantastic customer service at nearby Ace HW), but went to Parkrose HW when Ace & everyone else had no electricity after the freezing rain storms. What a wonderful HW store! They had everything I wanted & more. Unlike the big HW stores (i.e. Home Depot), they have employees that are happy to help their customers & will help you find the right items in multiple departments. Be careful of checkout line...lots of neat nicknacks & treats! Checkout the really cool Portland area pictures from the early 1900's, located behind the cash registers. read more

This store is beautiful. Very impressive. Only rating 3 stars because of the abundant staff, none seemed to really "know" the store. I've been twice and both times was told where to go and I "might" find the item there. Even though the sales clerk was standing doing nothing, she couldn't escort me to the item to be sure I found what I was looking for. The selection of axes was weak at best. The 2nd time I went in, there were three cashiers and there appeared to be less than 3 customers in the store. Not sure if there was a manager on staff or not. This will not be my go-to hardware store. I'd rather drive to a place that will give personal assistance and/or knows it's stock and location of items. I hope the owner improves the situation soon. i.e. Train staff to personally assist. read more

Parkrose Hardware followed my family down from NE Portland to West Linn. We're glad to have them nearby in the old abandoned Albertson's building. Highly recommended for home and garden needs. read more

Great selection, very friendly service and good prices. This is the first page I go now for all me hardware, garden, everything needs.

Make sure you know what you are looking for before coming here. The employees are not much help, I've had to return multiple items that they had suggested. At least they have a lot in stock and the employees are friendly. read more
