We were sent to look for a pump that we could not find at the store on 82nd, the said they called to make sure they had some so we didn't drive all that way and they did, they had 2. my dad went in by himself to ask for the pump, he asked for the pump and the manager Erik continued asking what he said. Erik then proceeded to say that they didn't have any at all. It got to the point where we had to call the last store to confirm that they had it which they continued to say that they did, and Erik continued saying no in a discriminatory way. If you don't want to feel discriminated don't go to this store. We'll continue to go to Harbor Freight on 82nd! read more

I drove from an hour away to find out the inventory on their website was wrong. They refused to sell the display. I understand stores have policies about displays but when there is something wrong you should make it right for the customer. I was the third customer that day trying to buy the Bauer thickness planer and if they would have sold it to the first customer it would have corrected the inventory discrepancy. They could have sold it to me to prevent the next three customers from driving 2 hours round trip. The supervisor David would not bend on the policy to make it right... it's just really poor customer service and inventory management. read more

HF Power Tools: our rule of thumb (under $50) for speciality tools that won't get much use or are needed for one job -this is the place! Hey, when you need a power tool and are thinking of renting -just come buy it here! Chances are it'll be cheaper to buy than rent and you'll have a tool you can use for way longer than a day-rental. Power tools more than $50 you know you'll need for the long haul- we'd rather invest in a used "real deal" quality tool than buy here. The service was efficient, helpful & friendly here. Warning! The smell of plastic/rubber (?) will smack you in the face when you enter and grab hold of you until you leave. read more

I'd recommend two years of law school before attempting to use a coupon at Harbor Freight. When I see a pricey item on sale, do NOT expect to use their frequently available "20% off " coupon. As it turns out, there is little difference between their "sale" price and the regular price less the 20% off coupon. And watch the mice type if you use any coupon. If the trade war with China escalates much more, they'll be closed in a week. read more

If you just need some basics, this isn't a bad place to drop in - they've got some of everything, but perhaps not everything you are looking for. For instance, the other day, I had a home painting project that I needed some sand paper for and they certainly had that, as well as a limited assortment of painting tools (brushes, etc). However, they had no paint thinner? Bummer. Although I do appreciate their prices, it often seems I have to go to other stores in addition to theirs in order to finish my list of project makings. And another stop is sometimes more than this handy woman can afford in a busy day. On the up side, staff is always nice and the store has decent hours. read more

I needed several simple tools for a project and this shop was recommended. I found the tools I needed and others as well. The prices were reasonable and I was able to purchase what I needed without putting a great dent in my budget. If you want tools that will last a lifetime, I'd recommend Snap-On or Craftsman, but if you have a project that needs attention and have to operate within a budget, I can recommend Harbor Freight as a resource. read more

The tools are what I expect. Inexpensive tools to get a job done. Not high quality. My complaint is the check out system. The computers seem to go down or it takes long times to look up your account. If you have a problem with something during check out you get to start all over again entering your phone number or name. All in all I will shop here again.
