Looked at the ad on 4/22. Saw Miracle Grow Garden oil buy 3 get 3 free. Called the store asked about limits was told none. tried to order 30 bags to get 30 free, would not go thru. Called District office and spent 40 minutes talked to a nice young lady called Kennedy. she finally got it to go thru and I placed and paid for order. Several hours later, I get an email (after customer service closed, of course) canceling my order, no explanation or nothing. I am accusing them of several things,, False Advertising, Bad business practices, Possible Fraud and Bait and switch. Poor customer service. Management needs improvement. The manager Matt is passive aggressive and rude. I placed an order and due to an error on the cashier's part, my order was cancelled and there is no trace of my payment. The manager, Matt, refused to own up to the mistake nor did he offer a solution to the problem. I have not been provided my item I purchased, which totaled nearly $800, nor my funds. I tried numerous times to speak with Matt regarding a solution and he declined each offer. Very unhelpful! Went in and orders countertops. Made down payment Lowes then sends someone out to measure They send plumber out to look at disconnect of existing sink Plumber says he comes out before install. Disconnects, countertops get set, Then 24 hours later he comes back to reconnect. We are good to this point. Couple days later I get final amount to pay so they will start on counter tops. I pay it First of this week get notice they are installing this coming Monday. 12/8 Couple days later my husband starts calling to make sure plumber is aware as we have had no communication from plumber. They say they don't have a work order from Lowe's to do the job After back and forth between plumber and Lowe's, plumber calls back and says it's because we have not paid their bill. NOONE ever said that plumber was separate. Olivia at Lowe's says an associate( a male) at Lowe's put in work order for plumber. First off, we never dealt with anyone but Olivia, second why would you not get invoiced for the plumber if they are an independent contractor for Lowe's and not be included in final bill or even be TOLD? We are now two days away from install Plumber says we need to pay them, but yet they never sent Lowe's a bill or billed us This is POOR communication, and poor business. read more

It's a little tough to exit the parking lot from this Lowe's, but there is plenty of parking available and the store is really well managed with plenty of staff, and I was able to find everything I needed very easily. The return policy is awesome, and they were more than willing to offer to help me load my car which is unusual and greatly appreciated. Prices were great and it was a much nicer location to hit than the one down on Glenstone in terms of parking and crowds. read more

could not be more dissatisfied with the Monett,MO store. Purchased a washer/dryer/refrigerator for the new house we were moving to. Had a call from delivery company and they showed delivery to old address. Had to go to store to have address changed and was told the refrigerator would be a week after we moved. After address change had a call from delivery company where they were delivering 2 sets-one to house we sold and one to new address. They said we'd have to cancel both orders, get a refund and then re-buy them. I did cancel both orders and get a refund and went elsewhere. They have no clue what they are doing. read more

I ordered a new fridge online (during the Memorial Day sale) to be delivered to my house from this store location. The refrigerator was delivered damaged. They offered to discount it, but I just spent a lot of money on a new fridge and wanted a new fridge. So they said the would come and pick this one up and order me a new one, but they only came to my area on Thursdays, so I'd have to wait a week for them to pick this one up and then they wouldn't order another one until this one was back in store, then wait another week for the new one to be delivered. I had to take off work to be home each time of course.Two weeks later, when the new one was supposed to be here, they said they had truck problems and couldn't deliver. I waited another week for the 2nd fridge to be delivered MORE DAMAGED THAN THE FIRST ONE. The delivery guy actually said not to accept it because it could affect the cooling. So it was returned, but instead of being reordered, they refunded me I've been out a fridge for 6 weeks now and still don't have one! read more

If I could put a negative number, I would! We ordered a sliding glass door that should have been delivered today. The salesman called and said the wrong door was delivered. He worked magic and found the door in Joplin. We called several times today and was told we would get a two hour window. Finally, we found out the door had arrived and would not be delivered till Monday. We had everything set up to have the door put in plus our remodel was waiting for the door. Avoid having anything that needs to be ordered. The veteran's discount is so not worth the headache. Customer service people in my opinion show a great deal of idiocy too! I purchased a water heater, the installation, and haul away from Lowes. I was required to send them detailed photos of the existing unit so they would know what to bring (which I did). They had my address which is within the city of Springfield. They gave me a quote which I agreed to. I took off 1/2 day to be home the next day when the installer was schedule to arrive. Upon arrival, he said he didn't realize we were in the city limits, and that upon seeing the unit determined there would be $400 additional charges for NEW code changes. I stated I didn't feel I should be responsible for additional charges due to the fact 1) they knew we were in the city limits, and 2). the photos I sent them clearly show the area where they said they needed to modify. I called and spoke to Lowe's customer service while the installer was here, but Lowe's handed me a take it or leave it proposition. So, I told them to cancel the order. Now I have to shop and set up installation with another company. Amazing how Lowe's can do such shoddy business. read more

Maybe because it's late afternoon on Saturday but many workers and customers wearing masks with their noses exposed or no mask at all and the store is just plain dirty and unkempt. Absolutely no mask enforcement at all in violation of the city's ordinance. If you're "at risk" due to medical problems as I am, do NOT go to this store. Neither the staff nor customers care about infecting anyone. I will not be going back to this location. There is a Lowe's in south Springfield I'll use exclusively from now on. read more

North Springfield MO Lowes... I'm going to hope that this anomaly experience had more to do with it being a holiday than this specific store. We were in dire need of a mower asap and I called this location and was assured that they "have 3 of them" and I could "come get it" so we drove all the way to this location only to have them tell me they weren't assembled. I asked the nice young man I started with how long does it take and he said: "it takes a few minutes but our assembler quit." The manager came out and started making some really dumb jokes for someone (us) that were in for a 2 hour round trip after his staff were far less than accurate when answering the phone. So guess what this manager did? Made us sit another HOUR thinking they were getting it ready only to tell us AN HOUR LATER that we could come back in 3 days (guess I should have laughed at his joke?). A half hour into this ordeal I actually heard him on the radio tell a clerk to tell us to wait. In hindsight it sure seemed like the coot was passive-aggressively punishing us for their lack of competence (or not laughing at his joke). I've shopped at Lowes for decades with never a problem but never at this location. I really really hope this abysmal excuse for management and staffing was an anomaly. On the bright side it convinced me to double my investment in a much bigger commercial mower and not play games with the low-end models they have sitting on the shelves unassembled. If the assembler worked for that cruel manager I suspect it's fairly obvious why he "quit on them." read more

After an eyewatering BAD experience at Home Depot, I scooted over to Lowe's. Associates at Lowe's are friendly and helpful. Unlike that "other" store, I received my military discount with just my info given to the cashier. No smart phone or internet access or download of their Changing QR code to get your "10% discount." Lowe's ROCKS! I just went back this morning to get gardening supplies. Home Depot is off of my shopping list. read more

I had been trying to order appliances from LOWES.COM since 6/30. Website is awful and hard to navigate with all the extra installation things needed. When I go to pay. Cannot get it to process. Go into a store, to try again in Springfield on Primrose. They are unable to deliver for 2 weeks since they only go to my part of town on Tues. Recommends that I go to another Lowes. Frustrated I go back to my car and try the website again. Finally takes my payment. Hallelujah. Get a online receipt and delivery confirmation for 7/8. At 10 that night I get a email saying problems processing payment. Thought I had already resolved that, go online and asking for alternative method which they provide paypal. So I use PayPal as recommended . Goes through. But now delivery is 7/10. Hear nothing. At all. Check website daily. Says payment failed, click the link to update, green box says you are ok, already did this. Tried calling to reach customer service for 4 days! On the 5th day finally got thru. Chat specialist states did not update payment. Sent a secure payment thing through chat . Paid AGAIN. got a number from this person on chat and after multiple tries reach associate on phone who says payment processed. You are ok. Will be delivered. Wait a few hours money is still there. Call again payment processed you are ok. Few hours, call again money is still there. This associate tells me money processed but sometimes payment does not come out till day of delivery. 2 days later still no update on the site. Call AGAIN. At 5pm I finally reach someone who tells me payment did not go through. She says my card and such are locked because tried to use as payment too many times (which LOWES had me do mind you). She recommend another card. Thankfully my husband had his debit card. Processed again, on phone, while she waited on phone with me. She states it went through. She says she will call the lowes delivering it to make sure will be on truck! Tried for original delivery date of 9th. She comes back on to the phone and state the manager couldn't confirm it would be the 9th, but definitely the 10th. Told the manager will call me tomorrow either way. At 8:40 that night I recieve a email stating the card was declined! I did not read my email till after 9, get into my car and drive to the lowes... 23mi and arrive at 9:40. Cameron is there and does his very best to assist me, but they are closing of course. Tells me he will follow up in the am and will call me. Unfortunately he was not there in the am but Matt was. He worked diligently and talked to IT but the order was still locked up. He contacted the delivery team and held my slot. Recommend I cancel the whole order and come in and redo Tells me they will be on truck tomorrow if I can be there before 4pm. I arrive at 2:50. Matt's gone, but Cameron is back, Matt had already got everything ready in the computer! Adjusted the pricing to match my sales that weren't active any more because they were from a week ago. With the help of Teresa, processed everything. Insert card, enter pin. We have a sale! He personally takes a copy of the invoice and receipt to the delivery team to make sure. I got my items next morning at 8am. THIS STORE WILL BE THE ONLY LOWES I WILL USE. I will never do business online again with your company! But thankfully at least one location store 733 knows what to do and how to help their customer. It should not have been this hard to give this company at nearly 4000.00 sale! Not to mention going 5 days with no fridge and having life saving medication that needs to be refrigerated. I normally buy appliances from homedepot and I now know why. Also though 3rd party, the delivery team that came from the store to drop off and install were fantastic! Quick, efficient, friendly. They apparently care too. I wish I could say all the great thing I need and want to about Cameron, Matt, and Teresa for all of LOWES but that is apparently not the case. read more

Always have a great experience at the Lowe's on North Kansas Expressway. Today was especially grand. My husband and I were picking up tile for our bathroom. We're novices and were just a little lost, but of course didn't want to admit to it. Johnny, the nice Lowe's employee working in the tile area, was extremely helpful without being condescending. He made sure we got what we needed and turned the whole experience into a "teaching moment." The store was very busy and I'm sure he had plenty of other things to worry about other than us. Thanks to Johnny! And thanks to the North Springfield Lowe's for hiring the best. read more

(UPDATE) I spoke too soon. Or rather typed too soon. I built a speaker box and was handed a box of screws and was told by a gentleman named Richard, in the tools section, to use a specific drill bit for pilot holes. The drill bit and screws were a bad combination because the screws split the wood due to insufficient diameter of the pilot holes. I took the box back to Lowe's and explained to them that I was given the wrong tools for the job and requested a new sheet of wood. The assistant manager, Brian, blamed me for the splits in the wood which were caused by the screws while also blaming the wood, stating "it sometimes splits like that, it just happens sometimes". He also suggested that the splits were caused by my drilling of the pilot holes. True, I'm not a woodworking expert, but that is the most ridiculous thing I have ever heard. He tried every way to blame me or the wood for the problems and not take responsibility for an employee's actions. Near the end, he tried to tell me that all of the splits in the wood were merely aesthetic and would be hidden when I put the box back together and the box would function fine with the splits. I explained to him that the box was made for a high-powered 12 inch sub woofer and would not stand up to the pressure with the splits in the wood. He still maintained his belief that the box was fine as it was. All in all, a $40 sheet of wood has been ruined and several hours of my time has been wasted. Now I have to start all over again. The staff at Lowe's is top notch to say the least. I've had the occasional experience with a new or young employee who wasn't as familiar with the store or items as some of the more seasoned employees there. Overall, I would say this is the best store on the north side of Springfield. Tonight I came in to purchase a sheet of MDF board for a speaker box that I am building. I got to the store little later than I wanted and had some difficulties with deciding how to cut my measurements out of the sheet of wood. Oh yeah, did you know they cut your wood for you at the store? Awesome! So anyway, James was the gentleman who was assisting me tonight and even with all the difficulties that I was creating for him up to and including being there almost a half an hour past closing time, he was very kind, patient and helpful beyond what you would expect from anyone anywhere else. None of the employees made me feel as if I was a burden for being there so long past closing time. Besides the stellar customer service that I received that Lowes, I recently found out that Kobalt brand tools have the same guarantee that craftsman tools have. This is great, because after a 100 some dollar purchase of a craftsman tool kit and being incredibly disappointed on many many levels, I now know where my next tool purchase will be. read more

I recently called from outside of Springfield to have work done on a loved one's house. Because of a timing issue Lowes did not actually do the work. However, everyone I talked with at Lowes was kind and helpful. The person who answered the phone, and my initial request, was patient and got me to the person I needed to talk to. The person who set up the appointment was nice and thorough in the times that I talked with him. The person who called about coming to the house gave his telephone number carefully so I could write it down. These people have someone encouraging them to be kind to customers. I would recommend this store, and intend to use them again myself. read more

Went buy a washer/dryer set. Samsung had a deal with a $100 instant rebate, plus the sale. At the checkout the clerk said that the rebate didn't show up after the merchandise was scanned and paid for. She stated " I can't do anything". Went to customer service and she said I would have to go back to the department and they would fix it. Went back to the department and the clerk couldn't help me, said it was for customer service and if he could fix it he would. He was a very pleasant employee. Took a picture of the sale sign with the instant rebate back to the front and showed the " customer service" person. She had to call the same sales clerk I had dealt with previously up to the front. The sales clerk then had to show the customer service manager how to do the instant rebate. The only person who acted as if the cared was the appliance sales clerk, the only reason this review received two stars. Terrible customer service. read more

We were a little late getting to Lowes last night to make a return on some wrong gutter parts and get some exterior paint. When we bought it, we were told by the cashier that she had placed it on our mylowes account, but when we returned the parts, found she had apparently lied as there was no record of them there. Luckily the man helping with the return was able to locate them off the credit card and take care of it. We ended up being at the paint counter past closing time and were not made to feel like we were imposing at all. the lady at the paint counter seemed knowledgeable and helped us. I hate making staff work past closing time, as I have worked retail and know how it is, but we really appreciated how they gave good service despite the inconvenience. I recently had a dehumidifier stop working. It was from Lowe's Home Improvement but I had purchased a 4 year extended warranty. I called the warranty number. They told me to take it back to Lowe's Home Improvement and they would have the information to fix it. A young lady (Taylor) tried for a long time to find the information on line. For some reason it was not available. Finally a manager (Dan) came and said because I had all the information (receipt, warranty, etc.) that they gave me a gift card for my money back. Then he got a comparable model and gave us a good deal on it. We were very happy. read more
