I want to give a shout out to Vincent in the customer service department. I came in all confused and cranky about my online order. He explained everything clearly and patiently. I had duplicate charges on my credit card. But apparently when you place a large online order they do a "test charge" and you are not actually charged until you pick up your order. So Vincent calmed me down about that. During my visit to Lowe's I stopped by the customer service desk probably three or four times with questions and exchanges. Vincent was a literal ray of sunshine and handled all my concerns professionally. First of all, I'd like to kick this off by saying I'm a proud consumer of products who genuinely backs brick-and-mortar businesses over those online shopping behemoths, but... Amazon, you sneaky little convenience champion! You can go from "I need this" to "It's on my doorstep by 9 AM" Meanwhile, I decided to play the part of the brave shopper and ventured to Lowe's in Simi Town Center. After parking my car, I embarked on an epic quest through the sprawling aisles, seeking out the part I desperately needed. Not a single staff member in sight to lend a helping hand! I finally found myself in the right aisle (miracles do happen!) when a Lowe's employee approached me, I said I needed a Y hose connector for my washing machine. He was so baffled he called for backup, and soon I was surrounded by two more employees who looked just as puzzled. It was like a scene from a ridiculous sitcom--three employees scratching their heads and pulling out random boxes like they were trying to find the Holy Grail. After about ten minutes of this hilarious charade and a few more befuddled folks joining the quest, someone uncovered an empty box, and the team concluded this was the product I'd been searching for--an empty box! Then I was led to the service desk, where the initial employee began firing off a series of questions about the very product I had just explained. By now, I had a small crowd of five around me, all still mystified by what a Y hose connector did. I explained again, and he casually mentioned he had them in stock... just not at this store. One was in Northridge, the other in Newbury Park. I burst out laughing--oh sure, let's just add a scenic drive to my day! When I asked how long it would take to have one ordered, he confidently replied, "A week." I laughed again! I then launched into my dramatic monologue about why Amazon and other online shopping platforms are slowly taking over the universe, complete with the classic Subway sandwich analogy: "Imagine walking into a Subway and asking for a tuna on wheat, and the employee goes, 'Sorry, we don't have wheat or tuna!'" As a business owner myself, I just can't fathom how you could be so clueless about your inventory! Anyway, long story short, I wasted time I could've spent elsewhere. I hopped back into my car, whipped out my phone, and ordered that exact part from Amazon, which arrived at my door at 9 AM this morning. I installed it while still in my fluffy robe, coffee in hand, and felt all the satisfaction of efficiency. The irony is that I also purchased my washer and dryer off of Amazon after not being able to find the exact product I was looking for. Non-stop harassment regarding extended warranty decision. I purchased a Samsung refrigerator from Lowes a year ago, deciding against extended warranty coverage. Since then, they have sent 22 emails trying to frighten me into paying more. This in addition to numerous postal service mailings. They have directly lied to me at every occasion, either saying that I have only a few days left, or that my warranty will expire after only one year. Both are verifiably false. DO NOT RENT THEIR TRUCKS. $20 for 90 minutes sounds great. Then every 90 minutes after is $40 dollars. Then they call to tell you when you go over the 90 minutes they've lost money not renting to others for their 90 minutes at $20. In that phone call they don't say ohh you are late we will charge you 40 for every 90 minutes. So 5 hours and I have to pay $140. THEN THEY WILL GIVE YOU YOUR $214 deposit. BS. They point to the contract they wiz by on their screen ask you to sign and don't give you a copy. I called today and customer service told me it was $20 for each 90 minutes. I specifically asked if I kept the truck for 5 hours what would be my charge? It would be 100 dollars? Yes absolutely! So they just decided to almost double what they charge me, alone. Terrible company. Home Depot has a 150 deposit $20 for each 75 minutes and up to the $129 for 24 hours! Then come back to pay and they take the $129 out of the deposit. read more

A sales person's mistake in the tile department ruined my kitchen. We picked the sample and he gave us the wrong boxes. I remember when I asked him about the differences showing. He insisted that they should be the right one because the sample is on the top of those boxes . I trusted him. But when the Handyman glued everything on the wall, I was horrified. They were totally different from what I picked. I went back to the store to figure out why. I saw the sample on different boxes . It must be misplaced last time when I was there . If he worked in that department, he should be sensitive to the pattern and the color of the different tiles, so he won't make such a huge mistakes. I cannot say about all Lowe's. I stopped by this Lowes in the morning to pick up my online order. I found parking easily here because it's in a big plaza and there wasn't a lot of customers here yet. They have some bbq grill in the front along with some flowers. When you walk in, you'll see a little gazebo which looks nice. I took a quick look at their cleaning supplies here because I was interested in some stainless steel cleaning supplies. The prices are higher compared to other stores so I don't know if they'll price match. The online pickup is next to the entrance behind the customer service area. I frequent this Lowes often as it's close to my house. It's always clean & I enjoy going to this store. This review is written from a recent experience for cut to length Levolor vertical blinds. I purchased some blinds, and the experience didn't start out that great. I had to go back to the store, and the department supervisor - Eddie Calderon jumped in immediately. He was quick to fix the issue and went the extra mile to make things right. It may not have been perfect from the start, but I appreciate when an employee goes out of the way to make things right. I (female) went to the paint desk with a question. While i was waiting for someone to arrive, another (male) customer also came to the desk. When the paint employee finally arrived, he made eye contact with the other customer and proceeded to talk to him without even recognizing that I was there. It was obvious that we weren't together. Here's what I like about this Lowe's: My visits have always been on a weekend and it has never been crowded. On weekends, the LAC locations are a madhouse. I enjoy the calm. It's super clean inside and out. The neighborhood is good. It well organized and well stocked. The employees are friendly and helpful. The nursery has a large variety of beautiful and different flowers that I've never seen at other Lowe's. It's conveniently located close to other shops and restaurants. I ordered an over the range microwave on Monday and was told I would receive a call to schedule installation in 2 days its now Saturday and I have not received a call. So I called lowes who gave me the phone number for the installation company. The scheduling company asked if the item was ready which is not my job but the item was ready since Monday. Now I won't have a microwave until the end of the following week. The 2 day installation cost was $139.99 and they didn't keep their word. Lowe's strikes out again! We decided to give a different department at Lowe's a chance and can officially say that going forward we will only purchase small items from Lowe's! Our stackable washer/dryer went out on us and with 3 little kids we need new ones asap! We picked a set and purchased and planned the install for a few days later. They arrive the day of install and said we were not sold the stacking kit so they would have to come back after we purchased one and rescheduled install. (The did however haul the old broken one away)... We ordered the stacking kit and go pick it up and they come out again and it's not the correct one! So back to Lowe's we went and got yet another one so they could finally install our units. The installer also couldn't install it correctly in the location it went so we had to pull it out and put it back in ourselves. And to top it off the dryer only dries on one setting and I got the fancy one for the cool settings! I called Lowe's and even tho we paid for a 5 year protection plan they won't help the first year while it's under manufacturers warranty. Called the manufacturer and was told they would come repair but they ran a diagnostic and said it's an internal vent issue and up to us. So much for a new working washer dryer. I'm not sure where to even start. The ineptitude has been staggering. We ordered two built in ovens, a built in microwave and a dishwasher on November 5. Lowe's charged us $40 to have one of their "expert measurement guys" to come out to properly measure our cabinet openings and determine which appliances fit the specifications. We ordered our recommended appliances on November 14 at the store. The dishwasher was delivered a few days later, no problem. Unfortunately the first attempt to deliver the ovens and microwave was a disaster. One department has no idea what the other departments are doing so I wound up having to schedule our deliveries myself! I was assured the trim kit for the microwave, which was initially not there and holding up the delivery, was in and the entire order was ready to be installed- The installers came and told us the trim kit was NOT at the store and they had come without it. One oven went in fine. The second oven couldn't be installed because Lowe's "expert measurement guy" never bothered to notice that the gas valve behind the old oven needed an elbow joint and to be adjusted. So after the first disastrous installation attempt, we were left with one oven in, a second oven hanging out of the wall, and a microwave sans trim kit left on our dining room floor. We hired a contractor to make the necessary valve adjustment and paid him nearly $200 out of our own pocket and he completed the job the very next day. I again had to make my own delivery appointments. A week and a half later, I was told again that the trim kit was at the store and the installers could pick it up on their way to my house. Well......the second installation attempt occurred last Saturday night and the trim kit that I was assured had come in the prior Thursday was nowhere to be found! AGAIN! So the installer put in the second oven, but that was all he could do. The microwave continued to sit on our dining room floor. I spent an hour on the phone with corporate and they had no answers for me. The man I spoke with told me there was nothing they could do and that any compensation would have to be handled after the job had been completed. He refused to give me his extension to follow up on this matter. He told me he would arrange to have the trim kit delivered to my home instead of the store so that it wouldn't disappear a third time. That never happened! I don't think the trim kit was ever missing in the first place. I think the employees and managers in the Simi Valley store either MISSED it or let other installers take it for other jobs! I finally got the Simi appliance manager on the phone and she told me the trim kit never made it onto the truck the first time- over a month ago, that it was NEVER in the store in the first place, and that her employees told me wrong! I told her that made no sense, since I had been contacted by several employees that it was there in the store, and the installer would get it on his way over - for BOTH DELIVERIES! They told me that they would never arrange delivery until ALL PARTS of an order were in the store-so how was I able to arrange deliveries the first two times of the trim kit was NEVER in the store???? She passed the buck to another employee. I responded that it is HER job to see things through, not rely on other employees! I told her I do not work for Lowe's and should not have to be calling all over the country to organize my own purchases and deliveries! I paid thousands of dollars for new appliances and should simply be able to enjoy my purchases. She gave me the same runaround about the whereabouts of my trim kit and told me it wouldn't be coming in until late December. Two days later she called to tell me that miraculously my trim kit had suddenly come in!!! She told me to expect a call from delivery. No call. I reached out to the delivery company once again to arrange my own delivery. I went in personally to pick up and bring home my trim kit to make sure it didn't disappear a third time. I have spoken with everyone involved over the last six weeks-begging to have this matter taken care of THIS year. Tonight we just had the third installation attempt- and the microwave and trim kit DO NOT FIT. It was never measured correctly and we were promised a built in kitchen that Lowe's cannot deliver. The appliances we were told to buy are the wrong ones. Now they will probably tell me I can either have both new ovens yanked out and have to purchase new ones at full price (we ordered our appliances at Black Friday prices) or else never be able to replace our built in microwave at all. The disappointments just keep coming. I want compensation at the very least for a kitchen I was promised and will never receive. Make this right LOWE'S. You have disgusted my family to no end! We ordered some landscaping bricks from Lowes. A day after they were delivered, we changed our project a bit and needed one pallet less of the bricks to complete to new design. I reached out to Lowe's to pay for and arrange a pick up of one pallet of unused, unopened landscape bricks only to be told that I would need to bring them back to the store myself. The manager couldn't even be bothered to come to the phone. If you sell something and provided delivery services for it, then you should certainly have a means for picking up returns via this method as well. Instead I am told to rent a truck and bring them back myself, are you kidding! I will never purchase another thing from Lowe's. The Lowes customer service is nonexistent and they don't care about their customers. They are quick and happy to take your money but if any issues arise or returns are needed, you are on your own! So here's the thing... if you're going to have a self checkout... then you need to let me self check out and not accuse me of stealing. The store already has 2 and a half stars so it's clearly got problems. This is the third time that I have gone to self check out and Jessica (pretty sure that's her name) has not only gotten irritated that we started checking out ourselves (isn't that what I'm supposed to do?) but also accused me and my family of not ringing up everything in our cart. In 2022 we bought an oven from Lowes in Simi Valley. They convinced us to open a Lowes American Express credit card and we did. When we got the bill, they had charged us for three ovens. We put it in dispute, but here it is 2024 and it still is not resolved. Today we had to cancel ALL our American Express credit cards as they said they had not received all the paper work they needed in the dispute time frame. That's crazy!!! And not true. We have been fighting this for 2 years, but the manager I talked to today at Amex was no help and I said just cancel all our Amex cards. When we moved to Simi, we quickly discovered that our kitchen was in worse shape than we thought. It wasn't something that could be handled by refacing cabinets and other cosmetic changes, due to the terrible condition of the inside of the existing cabinets. Our home improvement budget, which was going to include the garden / back yard, plus interior improvements, quickly went mostly to the kitchen remodel. The design expert at Lowe's was excellent. She patiently worked with us on a layout and components for new cabinets to pull together our vision. We went back several times to discuss all the little things that needed to be worked out before the order could be submitted. Ordering on a holiday weekend (Labor Day) yielded us all sorts of freebies, like upgrades on the finish, several free cabinets (like the dual-trash can for recycling option), a free wooden sliding tray adapter for the silverware drawer, and more. We also scored a deep discount on upgrading to real wood versus pressed wood, etc. It was torture waiting for the cabinets to come, but they did arrive on schedule. One of the units was damaged, and they took care of a rush order to replace it so that installation could begin. We have been very happy with the finished results. I'm especially glad that we got the soft close drawer and door closures. SO GLAD! Once we got that major project in hand, we also continue to go to Lowe's for large and small purchases. My experience is that their product lines are more interesting and of better quality than many at Home Depot. (Although we prefer the pain options at H.D.) Usually, it's easy enough to get help and experienced advice from the Lowe's team members, whether it's in Lighting, or Plumbing Fixtures, and other areas. Returns are super-simple with MyLowe's. We've also had good luck with special orders, and also ordering online and picking up at the store. All good! read more

I went to Lowe's about 2 weeks ago and I ordered a cooktop and I told them that I am moving I'm selling my house and I really need this cooktop to be installed so to make the matters short they send the measurement crew to measure my cooktop and guess what they lost the measurement so a week later they came to measure and the cooktop that they sent was a wrong measurement they wanted to charge me like over $200 to make a bigger hole in my kitchen so I ordered the right cooktop with the right measurement through DJ and he was a very nice guy and he helped me but the problem they send the installation crew they said they come and they install your cooktop so make the matters short I had an appointment and they never showed up and I called them they said well we had an installer had an emergency I said you couldn't call me I spend my whole day waiting at home for you guys to come on install these are the same people who do the measurement the installers they have they don't do it through Lowe's they have some other company that come and installed and so I wasted my whole day so I went back to Lowe's today and the manager was there next to DJ his name is Bill and I told him the situation he said well if for three times we screw up we should give you a refund and take the cooktop back I see is that how you deal with your customers manager what kind of a manager are you so I got very mad that in this the customer doesn't come first when you have management that insult you and talk to you like that is not right so I'm letting you guys know this guy Bill he's a horrible guy he's a horrible manager and do not do business with people who don't put their customers first read more
