This is one of the best Lowe's I have ever been to. Parking lot was nice and spacious. Entrance and exit area was extremely clean. Same with the cash wrap. I was in need of buying some mulch glue. The associate I walked past, Christian was extremely helpful and nice about it. He looked up the item using his palm device, and gave me guidance on which aisle to go and where exactly it would be. SO SO helpful. The garden center at this location was extremely clean and organized. The ground had virtually no debris or dirt. The aisles were nice and wide and easy to navigate through. And then I got to checkout via Garden Center register and Cam couldn't have been kinder and lovelier too. I walked out there so happy and can't wait to return! I can't believe I had such a nice experience there especially after having a lousy experience at the Home Depot down the street from home. It was well worth the drive through 5 freeway in 30 minutes traffic. The trip was worth it and I think they got me converted for good! read more

We purchased a Frigidaire refrigerator from Lowes San Clemente, in less than a month it started to make loud grinding noise, we contacted Lowes San Clemente for assistance with repair or replacement, we were able to speak with CAMILLA PIHO (specialist) who was downright RUDE and VERY UNPROFESSIONAL. We explained everything to her and gave her the information for her to retrieve the product information, we gave her the phone number and was unable to see the purchase online, so we gave her the order number, and she merely told us "YOU NEED TO BE NICE TO ME, BEFORE I WILL HELP YOU, OK BYE!" and hang up on us. WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER. I am grateful to GARY the store manager and JAIME DEDMON for their excellent customer service! BOTH were nothing but kind, friendly, attentive, and genuinely cared about making sure I was and my problem was taken cared of. GARY went above and beyond in assisting me resolve my problem with the fridge. And, JAIME was so patient in answering all our questions and made the whole process smooth and stress free. My review is specifically for the garden center. I absolutely love this place. They have so many gorgeous flowers, shrubs, cactus and more! I love that the pots were organized by color and from light to dark - so visually appealing! The price points are very reasonable and the plants are all so health and lush! The best thing were the staff...anytime I had a question, staff were around to answer. After I purchased my plants, 2 staff members came by and helped me load in my car. A+ experience! read more

Im probably in this store 3-4 times a week. Its a clean store but needs to purge the rude employees and the lazy employees. I cant tell you how many times i see employees in lengthy personal conversations while customers need help and many of the cashiers are down right rude . Not a good thing . yesterday, feb 3,2026 upon entering Lowes, some guy hassled me to sign his petitions. he intimidated me so I signed his petition but then he kept presenting more and pressuring me to sign all kinds of things. I've been to this Lowe's location probably well over 10 times I got what I needed maybe two times out of those 10 times, and every time I was at the store, not one person in the store offered any assistance and when I asked for assistance, the people didn't know what they were doing. Had a horrible experience at this store. Ordered a washer and dryer and they tried to deliver two dryers. The associate at the store made a mistake when we went to purchase. Tried calling the store 6 times and they would hang up on me or transfer me to someone else who never picked up. Finally decided to go to the store personally. On the way there I finally got a hold of someone by yhd name of JAMIE who said I could ask for her when I got there. So I get to the store I'm being told Jamie is at lunch. Jamie went home sick. I wanted to buy a wheel barrow that was locked outside so I bought it and asked for it to be unlocked. The cool lady in front near the register kindly asked another coworker for assistance with a customer(me and my dad). The man she asked yells, "we are talking about beer for the 4th of July which is more important than what the customer wants". Look dude. Forget this place! If there was a Home Depot closer, I would never go here. Bought some wall switches, over bought, and tried to take them back. Over 90 days and they won't take them back. They still carry them, but don't care about you. I do this with plumbing items as well so I don't have to drive back and forth. Also, no more store credit! Crappy customer service. read more

The most useless employees I have ever seen at any business. Any question you ask, they respond with "I don't know" and have a bad attitude in addition to the lack of knowledge. This experience is solely on my September kids workshop. Generally, I go to the Anaheim location as it is closer to where I live, but I failed to register before all the spots filled up. Workshop expert, Allison greeted myself and my daughter with her welcoming and bright smile. Allison made frequent rounds to all of the guests and made sure everything was all good. She went the extra mile to tend to my little one who enjoys all of the extra attention. I truly hope this amazing individual is appreciated by her management as these type of values and dedication are extremely rare in other workshops that we go to. read more

On December 9, 2024 I purchased a 6 foot pine Christmas tree and a 20! Inch stand from the San Clemente Lowe's. In the crowded rush at the cashier's check out I did not carefully read or review the purchase receipt. The 6 foot tree was supposedly to be $59.98. The stand was another $26.98. However, when I got home and carefully reviewed the receipt I discovered that I was actually charged $119.88 for. 9 foot tree! On top of that, the plastic tree stand had a small crack in the bottom, and leaked water all over my living room floor when I filled the stand with water! When I called the store to complain they agreed to replace the defective stand ; which, in all fairness, they did), but they denied that I'd only purchased a 6 foot tree, and refused to refund the difference. They ripped me off and refused to refund the difference in the cost between the 6 foot tree I bought and the 9 foot tree they wrongfully claimed I bought. This is a great store where you can find everything so why all the bad reviews? Lowe's is located in a convenient area in San Clemente and the parking is a breeze. I love all the plants even though I came here for something unrelated. I highly recommend coming here for household items or paint or flowers! My bf wasn't impressed with the merchandise and it took him 30 minutes to find a decent simple tool set so 3 stars in his opinion. read more

I purchased a Whirlpool dryer and washer set. Whenever I would put bleached in the washer the next load I would wash would get bleach on them. I called Whirlpool and they sent a serviceman out but he couldn't find any issues with the washer. Whirlpool service center told me to do an extra rinse on the bleach load. I did that and have not had any more issues with the bleach getting on the next load. The model number for the washer is WTW4957PW. The dryer started to make a clanging noise after I have had it for 10 months. The manufacturer warranty was for 1 year. I called Whirlpool and they sent out a service man to look at it. He put a new dryer repair kit but the clanging noise was still there. I contacted Whirlpool and they said that since the dryer is functioning like it supposed to be they would not replace it even though the clanging noise was still there. Then I went to Lowes where I purchased it and explained to them what Whirlpool had said and Lowes wouldn't replace it either. So now I have to put up with a dryer that clangs all the time. I am a repair professional who frequents home improvement stores regularly across south OC, I'm at one almost every single day and I have to say... this Lowe's has the absolute worst customer service by far of all the home improvement stores I've gone to, even the other Lowe's stores. Lowe's in general at every one of their stores has sub par, unfriendly customer service but this one really takes the cake.... Consistently. I've had the misfortune of going here before my visit today a handful of times in the past because there's no Home Depot anywhere nearby and Ace doesn't carry the same stock. And just like today, every single time the employees have bad attitudes, they are unfriendly and worst of all most are poorly trained and bad at their jobs. From the paint desk to the managers, if I could give negative stars I would. And I get to pay noticeably higher prices than other stores for the same materials and tools. But I guess that's expected due to the location. I hope the GM sees this review and is as appalled by it as I am by the time I leave this awful store. But I doubt there will be any improvement because I've complained in person to a manager and was treated rudely and dismissively by them too. I've also witnessed employees being rude to other customers too and judging by the terrible rating here on Yelp it's not just a fluke, it seems to be a systemic problem that won't get fixed until this store closes and Home Depot moves in. DO NOT BUY FROM LOWES! If I could give ZERO stars I would. We purchased and paid for flooring. When the installers came every single box was unusable. They actually gave us RETURNED flooring. Spend 2 hours on the phone where we were told the new flooring would be in on Monday. We went to Lowe's to confirm what time the flooring would be delivered as we have to rearrange our schedule. NO ONE at the store knew anything about it and they couldn't even find our order. Finally a manager (after two clueless ones) found our order, however the best that they could do was a phone call on Monday to see where the product was ... first said before 4:30pm, then it was 3pm. To make matters worse we have furniture being delivered on Tuesday and those companies will have to put in our bedroom without the flooring being installed on top of the padding. AND Lowe's informed us there would be a charge to move our new furniture to install the flooring and put the furniture back in its proper place. We spent 2 hours in person at Lowe's ... so our Sunday is shot ... the above is our experience. VERY VERY UNHAPPY. DO NOT SHOP AT LOWE's San Clemente. read more

I am so glad that I made the trip to this store. although I have two hardware stores in my city ; I bought amazing beautiful plants on sale, they have so many options for soils and fertilizers and the best part is the service was outstanding. Extremely disappointed with the Manager on Staff. Customer Service is a joke here. Purchased a Utility Shelf on December 16, 2023. Pick up date changed from Jan 1 to the 4th, to the 7th, and then it just said delayed. I later found out after calling in multiple times that the item number was incorrect somehow and nobody bothered to fix it. Vendor and Warehouse had zero communication. I called in to figure out the problem and rectify the situation. Spoke with the manager, who was an absolute jerk, he later laughed and said he can't repay me for my lost time and ended up hanging up on me. I've spent $1,000's at Lowe's over the past 8 months renovating my home inside and out through San Clemente, Ca to be treated like crap over a simple Utility Shelf. read more

Their rating should be negative stars! I made the mistake of ordering windows through them last DECEMBER!! The windows have been sitting in storage in my garage since early February! It is now almost Halloween. I have talked to everyone in the store including the Store Manager Evan and gotten no action. I called Corporate several times and they do nothing. Lowe's continues to screw up time and again. I paid the entire job in January and have no recourse now. They are blaming most of the screw ups on their installers, which I learned are outsourced. Fully paid for a toilet + installation + haul away at this Lowe's location. Rather than use a local contracted plumber with great yelp reviews / reputation, this Lowe's went with a cut rate team from over an hour away that showed up over a week later, did terrible work, didn't honor the haul away (left boxes behind), and upcharged my wife by 10x what we had paid claiming they had to replace a flange and that this was out of scope work and her only other option was to leave a hole in the ground (unfortunately I was away on a business trip). We ordered this work through Lowe's because we expect Lowe's to quality control better than this. Next time we will get the toilet from home depot, and find the plumber on Yelp choosing a local team with great reviews. Save yourself the same outcome and do the same! read more

Bad customer service I was in looking for a conector for my shower as I'm not a plumber I asked two of the cashiers for help, they said they will call someone to go over to the isle I was looking for my part, 1/2 an hr passed I collected my other purchases and as I'm paying I mention to the cashier that no one ever came to help , she just said, "oh yeah they all went home we have no one " my question back to her was why no one bother to tell me that knowing I was waiting for help. Some of the worst customer service I have experienced. I was trying to purchase one set of closet doors and it took multiple days just for them to figure out how to place the order. If I didn't know better, I would have thought this was their very first order. I spent hours (literally) at the desk while they fumbled around trying to figure it out. Picture yourself sitting in Lowe's for hours just to place an order -- no joke. Each time I called to check on the status of the order, without fail, the customer service representatives were unwelcoming, rude, and extremely unprofessional. They demonstrated an attitude that I was inconveniencing them by calling to get an update. I would be put on hold only to have a new person with no idea what was going on, pick up the phone and ask me "what do you need". Then the cycle would repeat. I asked multiple times to talk to a supervisor and manager and they blatantly told me no! I was beside myself. Who tells a customer that they cannot speak to a supervisor!? To be clear, this was not just one occasion, it happened consistently each time I inquired about my order. This tells me that it is not just one employee, but rather a significant deficiency in the employee culture within this store. After I had paid for the doors and installation, I received a call from someone trying to get me to pay an extra $300 dollars because Lowe's underbid the installation costs. Are you serious?!?! I signed a contract and paid the full amount and you are going to attempt to increase the price... This is such a disappointment to receive this kind of service from a business as big as Lowe's Home Improvement. It is easy to see from all of the other negative reviews that they don't value their customers and they have no intention of improving their customer service.
