This is what YELP is for--to highlight a great experience:…read more A few weeks ago the steel bolt that holds the seat assembly together on my 19-year-old bicycle cracked while riding causing the seat and parts that hold it to fly all over the road on a downhill and thankfully I was able to stop it without a crash after taking the seatless seat pole up my butt--ouch! Never had this happen before but it's the original bolt--19 years old. Brought the bicycle to 3 bike shops including REI and they all told me to trash the bike and buy a new one because they don't make that bolt anymore--bike is too old--but this would cost $2000.00 to replace that bicycle 19-years later with similar. Another shop told me to try Home Depot for the bolt. The guy there showed me to the bolts and took off, when I found one on my own--he looked it over and said it was correct but it did not fit when I got it home. Discouraged, I decided to try ACE in CDM but not optimistic because Home Depot did not have it--how would a small hardware store have it? Walked in and asked for the person most knowledgeable about Bolts? They all pointed to Sid. He took me over to the bolt area, took the old cracked bolt from me and put in into their bolt sizer (see pic), picked out the correct bolt and length and told me it's $1.79. He did not tell me that I need the wrench for it so I went back to the area--he was then helping a woman much cuter than me but pointed to the cabinet with the bolt wrenches ($1.89). That's okay, I was thrilled to find the right bolt and save the bicycle from termination. I tested it in the clamp in the store and it worked. And it fit perfect when I put the seat assembly back together at home and was able to ride the bicycle again! Big Yea! Take away: Maybe go to ACE instead of Home Depot? Home Depot does not have the diagnostics that this ACE does. Anyone ever try those frozen pies they have at the entrance?

This guy deserves to be at the executive level. Both times, he went above and beyond to make sure I get taken care. You can tell he really cares about the customers experience. From now on, when it comes to my home supplies, I won't shop anywhere else. I was shopping around with different stores for the appliance and Mazi made the decision too easy. Thank you again my friend!

I've never had a poor experience with Home Depot, until recently unfortunately. It was a weekday…read moreafternoon and we were looking for someone to direct us to some light fixtures. We passed one worker and we asked him where we could find something, and without even pausing and still just continuing to pass, he just said, they're straight in the back. Then we asked another person cause we were looking for specifics and he said rudely, "it's right in front of you." Just rude - the customer service was subpar. I was delighted to see someone say bye and another worker greet me with a hello, but these two workers were enough for me to post two stars, specifically in need of improvement for customer service and hospitality. The selection of Home Depot is never an issue - quite a lot to purchase and find! And yes good values, though I never compare prices with other stores, cause HD usually has it all! But today - two encounters with two rude employees. Just a bummer, and I left the store with these strong lasting sentiments. Will definitely think twice before going to this location again.

I find them to be a great option for people that are not handy types by nature. I learned some…read morebasics from my dad (son of a carpenter) who is good at fixing things and is a skilled amateur woodworker. I also like seeing their e-mail specials, coupons and freebies for making purchases. Recently I was contemplating whether "mechanics gloves" would work as full-finger weight training gloves in order to reduce the oils and sweat from my hands during workouts. A couple of years ago I put a lot of time, effort and expense into sanding and repainting my dumbbells with a nice forged pewter color. I would like to do more to preserve that. I tried the Harbor Freight HARDY brand "High-dexterity impact-resistant work gloves" that are a mechanics style with the rubber pads on top. I preferred the lower end thinner ones, but they were not very comfortable. I did notice the run a little small. I have very average-sized hands and normally wear a large (L), but those were tight with these, so I got the x-large (XL) with these Hardy's. The touchscreen compatible sort of kind of worked with the thumb and index finger but was not easy. Maybe the gloves need to be a snug fit? Maybe not? They do appear durable and are nice looking. I did an Internet search, and it appears you "may" be able to machine wash them. If I try that I will place them in firmer laundry zipper bag and wash them on GENTLE cycle in cold water. Then I would place them on a paper towel to air dry indoors. In the end, these were not a good fit for my needs as they were too bulky and thick. I will keep looking and maybe try another brand and smaller profile version of mechanics gloves. The staff here are always polite and efficient.
