Who does not like HomeGoods? Staffs are hard workers and they are nice. Floor persons are also nice and helpful in loading your furniture to your car while refusing to take tips. I have found many designer items there in a fraction of the ordinal price. Most are in pristine condition. I can spend all day happy in the store once a week. read more

Sunday afternoon 07/14/24 stopped in to keep my wife company as she shopped (probably to carry her bags). I found myself wondering around the isles as if it was an adult candy store ! So much to choose from, I ended up buying an old school Coca Cola Cooler plus an banana umbrella and a new credit card. All of the Homegoods are great for their merchandise but this store is always so tidy, and well organized there is a sense of pride that is apparent with the people who work here. RUDEST and most disrespectful manager EVER at this store! I will be calling corporate tomorrow but will no longer be shopping at this Homegoods store again. Over the last two weeks I have spent thousands of dollars in this store because we just moved. Last week I was over charged twice for items I did not buy - thankfully I caught it immediately and was reimbursed. But the next day the sales clerk did not give me two of the items I purchased and I did not notice until I got home. I wanted to return to the store immediately but my son just had a baby, we just moved and both of my parents died suddenly and unexpectedly 8 weeks apart so I was not able to go back until today, which was days later. The manager said if I wanted to be refunded I should have called immediately. I had NO idea this was their policy and thought I was doing the right thing going in person and bringing my receipt. She kept telling me I was in the wrong because I didn't call immediately (I kept telling her I didn't know this was her policy), they she didn't have my items, that I must have left them in my cart and that it was my problem and that there was NOTHING she was going to do for me. I was so upset by the way she was talking to me and treating me!! I was not upset at all about Homegoods stealing my two items that I paid for that they did not give me as these items only cost $16 for both - it was the fact that this manager is okay speaking to customers in such a rude and disrespectful way. You NEVER know what someone is going through so just choose to be kind - this women is not kind and should not be a manager!! Won't be back and will be calling corporate tomorrow!! I actually love this store, but what I absolutely DO NOT LOVE about it is the pushy aggressiveness to sell you on their store credit cards. This happens every time I'm in the store and it's very draining to stand there and have a 15 min conversation about why I do not want a high interest rate credit card! Smart people do not want or need these bullshit cards. Respectfully declining their offer should be the end of it, but it never is. I was very honest about NOT wanting a card and after too much pestering, I called her out on the high percentage rate that is just ridiculously predatory. Today's lady was over the top, asking personal questions about my finances and giving "advice" on how to best use their card so it's not as expensive to the consumer. Very insistent and rude. Frequent HomeGoods shopper here‍ Who didn't realize they had such a shitty return policy until today. Either that or they need to give their cashiers more leeway when it comes to making decisions related to food item returns. I purchased a sugar-free coffee trio last week that was 100% expired. I was not able to find a expiration date on the box or bottle but it definitely did not taste right. I had opened two of the three bottles and used about a teaspoon or two of each (I opened the second bottle because I wanted to see if it taste any different than the first) -- Anyway, Apparently you cannot return food items weather opened or unopened however it does not disclose that on the receipt nor is it shared at time of purchase. If HomeGoods is selling products That a customer wants to return, because it either taste expired/is expired or does not taste good~ this should be allowed. Otherwise how would HomeGoods know what is a good seller and what is not if they never allow for a customer to return an item that taste like shit.. First would like to say that I love this store but today the manager Jessica surprised me. I buy this artichoke bruschetta very often but last time the container leaked all over my bag, so I went to return it. I would have been ok if she had just told me: " unfortunately we can't return food items" but instead she was very rude with her tone and made me feel very uncomfortable in front of everyone as if I had done something wrong. I don't remember the last time I've been treated so poorly and I've also never written a review before but it was way over the line so I decided to do it. If she treats the costumers this way I wonder how does she treats her employees. I love this store. I had gone in and overbought a ton of items because I was planning on redecorating and knew I could return the items I didn't need. I had a moment of panic when I realized I had misplaced my receipt! Their return policy states you can only receive store credit without a receipt. I spoke to a manager and I was so pleased with how helpful he was. I was able to provide him with enough information to look up my transaction and he was more than happy to help. Side note: you must know exact time, day, register, receipt price & card # that you used if you want any chance of getting your # back. Luckily I had just been there 2 days before and was able to provide everything needed. Worse customer service ever. The old blonde lady working there in the evening was sooooo rude. I came to the counter ready to purchase my items, she decides to leave me and go to her coworker, male guy who's bald with eye glasses, to talk about something else. Then she comes back to me, starts ringing my items. Her phone rings she picks up and stops. She then talks again to her male coworker about the phone call, I told her to place the call on hold and finish processing my transaction. I was so mad. I come here a lot and it's very rare that I receive good customer service here. As a manager in the customer service department I was very dissapointed in the employee who rolled her eyes at my husband as we were trying to pick after our niece and told us to leave and complained to us about being in the way of her getting her job done. Not only that but she picked up my Starbucks drink as I was trying to clean up the stuff that was knocked over after we apologized. Then she caught eyes with me before I walked out and rolled her eyes. When my sister in law was buying her items the lady at the POS was not friendly at all and seemed irritated at us.I hope that the customer service here can improve so I can at least enjoy playing purchasing products from this location. I just shopped for the first time at this location in San Clemente and will NEVER return due to the rude and unbelievably bad customer service from a supervisor there named Charles. I was purchasing a laundry hamper that was broken. I told the girl I would buy it for 20% off. She called Charles and he took forever to come and help me even though he could see I was waiting he continued to soho backs. When he got there he looked at the product and said "are you just going to retie this?" I replied that since it was wicker it was broken and you couldn't just retie it. He grabbed a gun and started doing something that was taking awhile without saying anything to me. Finally I asked what are we doing? And he got very nasty and snapped at me and said" I am marking it down!" Then walked away. The girl rang it up and it was only 10% off, which was ridiculous for how broken it was.
