The absolute worst! It took four trips to this store to order a front door for them to finally setup someone to come out and take the measurements. The first time we went, there was nobody at the desk so someone paged the employee who never showed up. It's been over a month. The measurements were not done correctly and they want to send him back to our house to do them over. Still have not heard from them to set up the second appointment. You would think they would want to sell us a $1200 door plus a pantry door. I'll take my money somewhere else! Lowe's corporate offices needs to start reading these posts!!! read more

I have Lowe's just down the road from me. Since I recently bought a house, I've been here a lot lately. There's also a Home Depot near me and at first I was going there since I'm more familiar with their stores. I now prefer Lowe's. Someone once broke it down to me that Home Depot caters more to contractors, you know, people that know what they're doing. And Lowe's caters more to homeowners that want to do start to do things on their own. I can say that I can agree. At Home Depot there's usually no one around to help and you must wait a long time to even get the chance to ask someone a question, whereas, at Lowe's I feel like there's always someone around to help. They're also very friendly and have tons of information. Tyler at this location gave me so much information on my lawn. It was great. Went to this Lowe's to pick up 11 gallons of paint which our contractor had arranged (we heard the entire conversation). We arrived to no order and had to wait for 10 gallons to be mixed. The lady was nice enough to call the Brandon store requesting they mix the gallon they were short and all we were supposed to do was request a certain employee. We proceeded to check out with the 10 gallons and after each gallon was individually rung up and manager approval called for twice, finally exit the store. While loading the paint into the car a lady tried to panhandle us for medical bills and made us feel very uncomfortable. Then we go to Brandon Lowe's to request the last gallon from William and of course although it was waiting for us he hadn't blended the color so we had to wait once again. Unbelievable number of things wrong for supposedly just give them your name and pick up your items. read more

Excellent all around. I purchased appliances for my kitchen- refrigerator, stove, microwave, dish washer, washer and dryer. The service manager was great , the delivery on time and the the deliverymen were very friendly, professional and took time to explain how everything worked. What ever you do do not use Lowe's in Riverview for your bathroom or Kitchen remodeling. I've had the worst experience. I ordered and paid for my office cabinet remodel and it's still isn't finished. I ordered and paid for my bathroom remodel the beginning of July and it's not finished either. I have made multiple phone calls to Sarah to get every little thing done. I wasn't expected no to have to act like the general contractor for these projects. I thought that was Lowe's job. I love this location. The employees are so friendly and helpful and we've always gotten solid advice and honest opinions on products. This location is very clean and well organized. I've never had a bad experience from paint to flower purchases. The garden section can get a bit crazy on the weekends but with our beautiful Florida weather it's no surprise nor is it a deal breaker for me. I recently did two separate flooring projects thru Lowes, and I will NEVER do business with Lowes again! I have spent over $8,000 at the Lowes Riverview Florida location since the first of the year, which included two projects, each for several thousand. In both cases my credit card number was stolen, and this happened just 1 month apart. Just two days after using my card at Lowes, (and not used anywhere else) the card was used locally at a gas station. I went into Lowes and spoke to the manager "Harvey", total waste of time, not very customer driven at all. I then called corporate; they were not any help either. So, if Lowes cannot and will not keep my personal information private and secure when I shop at their store, then I will not shop there and I hope others take my advice. Lowes, you can take your insufficient security, severely lacking customer service, and your Military discount and shove it! And if you have any brains, fire "Harvey" and promote Sy, he is one person there that truly cares about his customers! read more

Order 4 pallets of flooring over 3 weeks ago and of course it was immediately charged to our credit card. We are coming from Miami so scheduled late deliver, between 12 - 4 pm. Arrived at the house at 11:30. Waited till 2:30 for call finally called in to confirm - turns out driver said he had been @ house & no one home. Driver was already gone for the day so we had to reschedule for today between 8 - 8:30. Called store at 9:00 to confirm spoke to Matt who told me driver was finishing to load and if we didn't receive call in half hour to call him back. It's now almost 11 am have called store numerous times to no avail; no one answers the phone!!! SO FUSTRATING!! read more

I recently had a bad experience at Lowe's while returning a defective item at customer service. The manager that was working on 11-20-2022 around 5 pm refused to return my item without a manufacturer RA number. I asked her why She said "in order for her to get her bonuses and employee stock they have to make sure they get credit from the manufacturer". They sent me away and I was very upset. I made the call to the manufacturer the next day to find out that that specific item did not require the RA number. I felt like the manager treated me like an idiot in front of other customers by making that statement. The reality is more than one person did not understand their own return procedures so the customer has to suffer. I went back the next day to resolve the issue and had a very nice women named Judith help me out. I explained the entire situation to her and she went above and beyond to help me. I wish Lowe's would put people like Judith in management positions it makes a stressful process easier to deal with. I mean give me a break do they really think they are going to sell customers defective items and not take care of us? Also without customers purchases your bonuses and employee stock would not exists. I will not be shopping with you any longer. I hope that this message can address the basic compassion and common sense that customers expect from anyone working as a sales associate or with other people in general. read more

Went today looking for Fluorescent lights and the member working there was very rude and seemed like he didn't want to work.

I purchased a set of French doors from Lowes to be installed in my Lanai area back in November of 2017. Well the installation and inspection was finally completed the last part of November 2018, almost a year to date of the order. I had so many problems with the doors; from wrong doors, to broken latches, holes drilled in both doors for locks and handles, mini blinds handles different on each door. Then throw in the installation problems and it took a whole year for everything to be taken care so that we could have a Building Inspector sign off on the installation. BTW...it took three months to finish the installation on the front doors, after waiting two months for delivery. read more

I waited 20 mins while someone tried to call for help with absolutely no one even attempting to come help. Beware! Ordered building materials online and the order was a complete mess. Went to the store to pick up the order and what they brought out for my order was damaged material and incorrect material. Much of the plywood was delaminated, water soaked, and moldy. Also, order wasn't even correct in terms of sizing. This is the second time in the past 2 weeks I've purchased lumber at Lowes that had to be returned because it was covered in mold. "Lumber Manager" blamed it on the online ordering pickers...guess what the lumber is being picked from the lumber department! So both are failing the customer... lumber department for not taking care of it's stock and picking crew for not being able to pick from the right labeled shelf and for not knowing the difference between ok and damaged material. Now, they're trying to pass off moldy and warped material. Won't be giving Lowe's a 3 chance to get it right. From now on it's HD, Intercity Lumber and LLT only for lumber. read more

We thought it would be easier to do a pickup order. We ordered 3 different items.. over $900. It's been over 30 hrs. Still not ready to pick up. We've called and called and called. No answer. We just got a email for a couple items that are ready at 2 different Lowe's???? Called that Lowe's and they don't know why they would have sent it to them. We have always had problems with Lowe's in Riverview. We spend around 5g each month here and will not be using them anymore. moved to the area a year ago, was nice to have a store so close for all my remodeling supplies, was pretty good at first but recently I've seen some unpleasant changes. To start they are often out of stock on many things and I end up going to Home Depot up the road. the main problem has become the customer service and employee attitudes, I've noticed bickering between them in front of customers, complaining about budget cuts to customers and a basic unhappiness with having to deal with customers. there are a couple great, friendly employees I enjoy speaking with and even they seem depressed working there now. usually don't get a hello, or have a good day, thanks for shopping at Lowe's. I rarely leave feeling happy with my shopping experience. could use some retraining and maybe something to lift employee morale. read more

I purchased a fountain from here, and it completely stopped working. When I brought it back to the store hoping to simply exchange it, the manager refused since it was over 90 days. I wasn't trying to get money back or anything like that, I simply wanted a working fountain after spending $160 on this one. If it weren't for the proximity and convenience, I'd never step foot in this place. WHEN you can get help, it's typically great, but the store is so understaffed it's crazy. There's no music playing in the overhead because of the constant "Customer needs assistance in plumbing, customer needs assistance in flooring, blinds, outside garden, lumber, in the parking lot, at the service desk, etc." Anytime you need a manager override, say for military discount, expect to wait 5 minutes because they're spread thin and when they show up, they have two other employees in tow typically who need help. Without a doubt, the most frustrating department of this store is lumber and building materials. In the last three months, I've spent over $5k in lumber and only when I specifically went to the desk and said "hey, get me someone to load", did I EVER receive an offer of assistance loading lumber. I've stood there loading 16' 2x10s by myself and had employees walk right by me. Once you get the lumber outside, prepare to stand in the Florida heat and load it by yourself because the managers here allow contractors and customers alike to park in the loading zone and go in and shop for however long they want. On ANY given day, you'll find 4-6 trucks and cars parked in the overhang with absolutely NO ONE loading anything and NO ONE at the register paying for goods. I've been in there for 20 minutes picking out lumber, paying for it and then having to take it out to the uneven parking lot because there's no room in the loading zone and nobody loading (or employees willing to help load). I've had other customers stop and help me load lumber into my trailer because they saw me drenched with sweat, loading heavy boards. The ONLY reason I gave this place two stars instead of one is because I genuinely feel that MOST of the employees are good people and we've had good help once you can get someone to help you. Otherwise it's the pits for service and if Home Depot weren't 15 minutes away, I'd never return. read more

I ordered garden center items for store pickup. I'm handicapped and I do this because I'm in pain and can't walk all over the store to collect the items. I get an email a few hours later that my order is ready for pickup. I go to the store the next morning, go to store pickup, they process the pickup and then send me to the garden center. So, in and out of store, order registered as picked up but I don't have it. Back in car, drive over by garden center where I have to go inside again and interrupt the cashier and the line of people who have been standing there for god knows how long. Cashier knows nothing and has to radio guys. FIVE guys come to tell one to get a basket and collect the items. If my order is ready for pickup (yesterday), why is it not picked already? At this point I'm about ready to pass out from pain and walking and have to walk back to the car again to move it to a different loading spot. Also note, no handicap spots in front of garden center because inconsiderate non-handicap people think they can use those for loading spots. I could have picked these items myself in a shorter time frame and with less steps, ie, less pain. And I will add, these people seem annoyed that they have to pick the order, like I'm too lazy to do it myself when I'm actually trying not to faint from severe pain and crack my scull open on your store floor. When that does happen, I'll be happy to sue you in exchange for the inconsiderate treatment that I have received from this store and it's employees. read more

I have been completely renovating a house that I bought 3 weeks ago. I have spent over 5k in the store. Today I went in to get trim. There was a gentleman that was a vendor of Lowes that helped me load up 12 of the contractors 5 pack of 5.25 in white MDF trim. I went and paid at the Pro area, and asked for help. The guy that checked me out called for help, then proceeded to wheel out the cart outside, to get out of their way. This was 12:13p when my credit card was charged. I waited and waited for 20 minutes, finally I unloaded myself, got the string, flags, and proceeded to go inside and ask for plastic wrap, and the manager. Again, took about an additional 10 minutes, then a guy came had a hard time bending over to wrap it, and was like ok, your good. Um, where is the manager, he said the guy inside called her, not sure. I went and asked the original guy that checked me out, and he said yeah I dont know, shes busy. So I went up to the customer service, and now its been over 40 minutes. Chris, came, and I told him my story, he stated, we are busy, and sounds like I got it all loaded, and nothing he can do from this point. I then told him to get someone to take all this trim out, and I am returning it. He asked where I was parked, and said he would have someone come. Again, at this point I call my husband, I am beyond pissed, and waited additional 10 minutes, then unloaded, and left. So I expect this to all be refunded. I will not be giving you any additional business!!!! read more

It's a big box home improvement store nothing too exciting or unique about it. The selection is decent in store with more options available online. Coupons are also typically available for 10% off. The positives for this location: it always seems to be well staffed with eager helpful employees, the store is clean and it has self checkout. Lowe's also has the My Lowe's card which is amazing. It tracks your purchases. So if you forgot what brand of fertilizer you bought last year, it remembers for you, how convenient! read more

I come to this Lowe's because of its proximity to my house, I have come to notice this location doesn't really have good customer service relations with its customers. Today's visit here was to purchase a keyed lock for my house. I stood in the isle looking for the right option while 4 associates walked in front of me. Seemingly trying not to make eye contact. No, can I help you find something or anything. I eventually flagged down an employee from up front. I'm sure I could have stopped one of the others who tried to avoid eye contact but if they weren't interested in helping me why bother. Will try Home Depot in Sun City next time for sure. read more

Took the time as he squeezed the appliances through tight door areas and was constantly making sure nothing would get scratched.
