Seems like a pretty good value so we tried the Dublin Virginia store first. My daughter went in alone she is 18 year old and the employee working the kiosk totally dismissed her to the point where she got frustrated and left the store. The Blacksburg Virginia store being about equal distance I decided that I would try this store and initially the service was good they did say they would have to order the key for the Volkswagen Jetta and it'll be in 7 to 10 days. After 2 weeks I started calling with varying degrees of customer service but all saying it hasn't came in yet will call you. Finally after nearly a month I called and after a while they said that the key had come in I didn't ask what day I was just glad to get some traction on this issue. After the manager started grinding the key he said that they shipped the wrong one and they were not able to help me he did Apologize gave me a refund but offered no solution for this problem. I understand one employee at one store having a bad day so this has been two separate locations 30 miles apart this may just be a systemic problem with Ace hardware or the automotive key replacement program may not be where it needs to be. In an event I will not be patronizing Ace hardware anytime soon."

And this ACE Hardware Store on 2303 Williamson Rd NE, in Roanoke, Virginia, is a perfect example. Through personal experience I have found out that their employees go the extra mile for its customers. And they have such a variety of products, that throughout the Seasons I like visiting the store because you never know what you'll find there. Anything from pumpkins to local honey during this time of the year. As a matter of fact, the other day I had to make a gift of local honey, and here is precisely where I found it. As soon as I walked in a friendly young lady greeted me, welcomed me to their store, and made herself available to help me find anything I needed or was looking for. I could see why their slogan "ACE is the place with the helpful hardware folks," was very true indeed. As I walked through the store I was amazed at all the different products they had in such a limited amount of space compared to places like Home Depot and Lowe's. And their prices if you add the excellent service you get are not bad at all. The service they provide is extraordinary. I read in one of their ads that if you purchase one of their large barbeque grills they will go out to your house and put it together. I stopped by the store and met the owner. Ultimately I took my computer to him. Ron Reeves did not try to "up sell" me. He had my computer for 2 days. My system had a mechanical hard drive which he switched out. I had my documents, etc. on an external hard drive. He reloaded the operating software and anti-virus. My computer when turned on actually is ready to go in less than a couple of seconds. It is faster now than when it was originally built. My girlfriend was also having computer problems. It would take several attempts to activate the anti-virus to scan the system, and several attempts to shut down the computer. We took her computer to Reeves7 because of my positive experience. We had downloaded her documents, etc. to an external hard drive. He switched out her mechanical hard drive and installed a new RAM. He reloaded the operating software, etc. Her monitor was an old 13" unit. She was able to buy a used 23 inch monitor from him for an extremely reasonable price. There is a warranty on the work. We were very happy with the work as both computers are working faster than when brand new. The costs of the repairs were very reasonable especially when considering or comparing to the cost of a decent new computer. We would certainly recommend Reeves7. It would be worth having him look at a current computer before spending money on a new system.
