Proceeded to pay We were told that if we took out the Lowe's Credit card - they would take $100.00 off the price and give us a better return policy. I felt like this was wrong- I picked your store - purchased the products... and if this and if that you discount the price. Are you that hard up you need to bribe /blackmail your customers to give me a "deal" seemed so wrong. You charge to deliver, cord, removal and if I agree you will give me a discount. Not much has changed. Every time I go I'm reminded how although prices are on par with the other place with different choices, not always better but worth a look, it is very hard to find items. The bins/shelves are and have always been a clusterf. To the point I've realized I would actually save time driving the extra couple miles down the road. If one thing is needed it may be worth taking a chance on going. If a few are needed, your rolling the dice...a loaded pair. I had the absolute WORST experience with Lowe's Home Improvement. Our refrigerator broke, we ordered one from Lowe's it was delivered in 2 days, but we ordered the wrong size that was our mistake. They made the accommodations for a new one to be dropped off a few weeks later as they had to coordinate a truck to pick the one up and drop off the new one. They said they were 90% sure there would be no time lapse in between the old one being picked up and the new being dropped off. They came to get the old one (the one that didn't fit) and never dropped off the new one. So we were without a fridge. We reached out and they were not able to help that day. The next morning they called saying we were refunded for the first refrigerator (mind you we also paid for the second one as soon as we ordered it) and it was closed. The day before they mentioned giving us a rebate for the food we lost, when the called the next day they said no credit would be issued as they closed the case and refunded it. So again we do not have a fridge at this time. he went down to the store in Port Orange spoke to several people including the Manager Lisa who said it was "Karma"?? Which is obviously super helpful. They offered my husband a rental truck where he could move another refrigerator (this is now the third we have purchased) himself, obviously he could not do this by himself so he opted for it to be delivered the next day so it is now 3 days without a refrigerator. They delivered it the next day and when we plugged it in, it did not work. So they had to take it back. At this point we called another place and got a working one delivered the next day. Lowes NEVER contacted us about the refrigerator not working and how they are going to resolve it. my husband called Lowe's about still not receiving refunds for TWO refrigerators. And they could not find it, after My husband told them the receipt number. They told us we had to go to the store. So we will visit the store another time to receive refunds for a refrigerator that was never delivered and one that was delivered and did not work. After paying over $2,000 for a new range at the Ormond Beach store, Lowe's tried to deliver a "scratch and dent" (see photos) from the Port Orange store. The damage to the outside of the box was so noticeable the delivery crew pointed it out at the warehouse. Instead of opening the box to survey the potential damage, the supervisor told them to "take it, deliver it, and if there is any damage tell the customer to call Lowe's for a discount". Of course we refused to accept it and when the crew called their supervisor they were instructed to return it and tell us "someone from Lowe's would call us that afternoon". The day went by without a call from Lowe's. We then called Lowe's but now realize that customer service does not answer the phone for at least 30 minutes, and when they do you are "forwarded to another department" that does not pick up at all or disconnects you after 45 minutes. After many hours of frustration we called the Ormond store and we were told that despite our making the purchase from their store, they could not help us and we would have to call the Port Orange store. After several more hours of frustration of not getting through to anyone at the Port Orange store we called the Ormond Store once again, insisting on speaking with their shipping manager. Who ended up being the most helpful Lowe's employee we encountered. Using a direct number she had stored on her cell phone, she called an Assistant Manager at the Port Orange store and explained the situation. She gave him my phone number whereby he assured her he would call us immediately. After waiting another hour we called the Port Orange store and 30 minutes later Customer Service answered and we told her we were waiting to hear from him (we told her his name) and asked to be connected with him. After another 45 minutes of being on hold we hung up and called the Ormond Beach store, spoke with the shipping manager, who apologized on Lowe's behalf, called the Port Orange assistant manager, told him how unprofessional it was not to call us, and received another commitment to call us. This time he called, apologized, and told, us he would work on getting a replacement delivered to us the following week. We asked for a confirmation call on Monday which he agreed (three times) to do on Monday. Going so far as telling me he was entering the call as an appointment in his Outlook calendar. On Monday he did not call. We called, went through the usual half hour of waiting to be picked up, asked for him by name, told he was in the store, only to have him never pick up the phone. We called back, expressed our frustration whereby we were finally put in touch with a different Assistant Manager who (without our identifying who we were) immediately told us the the delivery date would be Wednesday. On Wednesday the same delivery crew delivered an undamaged range. If I could leave zero stars I would based on Lowe's lack of concern by attempting to deliver an obviously damaged product and their lack of concern in communicating with their customers. We will never purchase an appliance from the Port Orange Lowe's. And if we choose to purchase one from the Ormond store, we will insist on a guarantee it will not be delivered by their Port Orange store. If Lowe's is unable to give that guarantee we will take our business elsewhere and share our experience with Lowe's whenever the opportunity arises. read more

Well sometimes there are redeeming qualities that warrants a review update a lot of the time it's the people that earn these positive updates instead of the actual business its policies or practices this is the case here. One thing I've always hated about dealing with box store is the return policies much of the time once you purchase items you must deal with the original equipment manufacture if there are issues after 90 days or so. I purchased a ceiling fan almost 6 months ago and it was one of the higher priced fans stocked and it failed, after trouble shooting the problem I found the remote control receiver failed after seeing the receiver was hard wired I knew there would be no simple fix it was going to have to be replaced meaning I would have to deal with the OEM. After returning to the store and discussing the issue with Justin and Sean it seemed there wasn't going to be an easy solution even though I had my receipt and it was about 3 weeks shy of being 6 month since I made the purchase. Instead of doing what I expected which was them to tell me to call the manufacture they found a exact match to my fan in the box and offered to trade the defective part out problem solved. Even though this wrecked the new fan and they would have to return it to the factory they did the right thing so that's what I am doing. Thanks guys! read more

Unfortunately what started out great has turned into a nightmare. We spoke to what seemed like a very knowledgeable salesman who helped us purchase several appliances. First our washer and dryer. The washer arrived and was installed but afterwards it made a terrible grinding sound. We called Lowes right away and they scheduled a replacement to be installed. The replacement was a dud too. We called and they started searching for alternatives and said they'd call back. This is still unresolved and we are washerless. Then there is the refrigerator we purchased. Scheduled delivery was delayed and we keep trying to schedule it but they can't find the order. They also called the wrong number repeatedly when trying to schedule it. When we call for help we are on hold 30 mins and more. Our dishwasher is scheduled to be delivered next week. We don't have any confidence it will arrive or be the quality we expected. Their staff seems knowledgeable and friendly but they recommend bad products and their delivery and installation is not reliable read more

We started out at the lowes in Jacksonville on Phillips Hwy with Donna helping us there was a specific rug we wanted however the Port Orange store who carried it. Donna went above and beyond to help. After a short drive down we walked in to lowes found Dale who was most helpful and worked with Bob who maintained a great sense of humor. we were able to get the rug along with another rug while experiencing great customer-service at BOTH locations. Don't buy a Christmas tree here! I love shopping at Lowes, but this year's tree is terrible. We were helped by the "Tree guy" I will leave out his name to protect the guilty. He assured us the tree was fresh, strong branches and it would last. Well the branches are week and way too flexible and we have lost ten collectibles to gravity. The needles are falling out like my hair at 21 and we really don't expect this tree to last until little Christmas. Hopefully it won't spontaneously combust! Rolled up to the cashier with two carts and $800 worth of lights. We asked Larry the cashier how he wanted to do the check out and he said, "Just show me every UPC so I can scan." What? You're just going to sit and scan while we unload and reload the 20 boxes of lights? "Just show me UPC's." And that's what Larry did, just sit and shoot the scanner as we presented each box for him. Worst "Lowe's for Pros" department in the entire United States. I have been to some home improvement stores with poor management and staff, but the Lowes in Port Orange is king-of-the-mountain when it comes to useless staff. I went in with a simple wood cutting request. 20 pieces of PT 2x8 at 46.5" each. First, the store was open for about an hour and hardly any customers, but somehow the guy that ran the saw said they were too busy to do the cuts. So he walked me to the Pro desk. I was told 2 cuts were free but I would have to pay for the other 18 cuts. Ok, no problem. Then they said they would call me in a couple of days once they had the time to cut the boards. They called me about 2 hours later (Costing me another 20 mile drive back and forth in the same day). I picked up the boards only to discover once I got home they were all cut wrong. Anywhere from 1/4" too short, to 1/2" too long. So the idiot at the saw can't read a tape measure or use a jig for exact repeated cuts. Nobody checked the saw idiot's work, so it passed as ready for pick-up. I called to complain and they got an attitude right away with me. I said I wanted was a refund on the price I payed for the cuts since they were ALL WRONG. They said they would refund that portion, but a week has passed now and still no credit on my card. So their Pro Desk is full of lazy, non-caring liars. I will NEVER go this Lowes store ever again. I am telling all my friends to avoid them at all costs too. I have shown photos of the boards to several friends and they were amazed by how unprofessional the Pro Desk at Port Orange Lowes is. Big boycott is underway around these parts. This review is specifically for Billy that works at Lowe's Port Orange. We purchased some flooring at a higher price even though it was posted for a lower price on one of the signs. We had already paid the higher price, but we felt unhappy about it. I returned later in the day and saw Billy near the flooring department. I decided it was worth at least asking if they would adjust the price. Billy listened to me and seemed like he genuinely wanted to help. He went and spoke to a manager about giving us a partial refund - while I kept my fingers crossed. Sure enough, Billy returned with a smile on his face and said the manager approved. He walked me to the customer service counter. I thought he would leave me there, but nope. He got on a computer and did the refund himself. The refund was not an insignificant amount. I have a couple issues with Lowes in general, but since I was at the Port Orange store, I am reviewing them. First, why does a Veteran that has a Lowes registered Veteran's account have to provide a photo ID when checking out with a cashier to get the 10% Veteran's discount? I ask this because if you use the self check-out registers, no ID is required, just scan your Lowes card and out you go! Come on management, get this issue fixed! Second, why did Lowes take away the 10% Veteran's discount when you purchase an item or items on sale? I asked the lady at the customer service desk and she was not sure when it happened. So she scanned a sticker that says updates to the Veterans discount program, looked at her phone and could not find anything to tell me. She then called somebody and they said yes, it happened at the beginning of the year. Ok, I guess I have to believe that; but why did you do it? Are Veterans not important enough to get our 10% discount? Maybe Home Depot might start getting more business?????? read more

This store is a nightmare. If you are in the market for a home improvement project stay away from this store the lack of communication and customer service is quite poor. I had a $4500 fence install which I was required to pay for four weeks ahead and the install is a mess and of course they have your money up front and leave you out to hang..... 9 weeks later after at least 15 calls to messages to the assistant mgr and fence install person I am still with a fence that is not properly installed which the town of port orange actually flunked at inspection. After charging back all charges on my credit card the store informed the credit company they were taking care of me which was a lie and the finally the Manager is talking to me but we wtill have nothing accomplished and nothing has been said as far as any plan of action . I am so disgusted I do not know where else to turn. I am a hard working individual and I have been ripped off. They have actually over charged me for matarials and labor compared to what was installed. They use independent contractors and there is no communication. Be aware stay away from this location!!! Update; In all fairness I wanted to update this situation. After many calls and weeks I was able to get to the top and a top level person finally contacted the manager here to rectify the situation. After a few days of deliberation I informed the manager to simply credit me the installation and the sub standard gate that was installed which he agreed to do. He had to remind me that I had to reason to replace the gate nor repair the mistakes the gate would be fine as is. So when Hurricane Irma came first thing to let go was this "high tech" gate which at that point I chuckled as I knew it was a substandard quality and a substandard install. I am satisfied now for what I paid because not it reflects what I got! It has not changed my mind about Lowes in general I will stick with Home Depot as I did in the northeast for many projects a few extra dollars is worth it in the end!! read more

My experience at Lowe's is 5 star! I greatly appreciate the awesome service from Brad (Bath/Kitchen) and Justin and Adam (Flooring). My family owns a restaurant, AA Garden Fusion, in New Smyrna Beach, so I don't have much time to get away. However, on two occasions at Lowe's, especially yesterday's Black Friday, I was blown away by the top-notch service. Brad & Justin were patient, knowledgable, and caring ! Brad spent almost 3 hours helping me gather all my kitchen and bath materials, and Justin called and arranged tile pickup from three other stores so I can have enough tiles to finish up my project. They valued my presence; consequently, got a loyal customer for many years to come! Management (Dan and Dave) should be very proud of these outstanding employees! Kudos to you all ! read more
