The prices of the plants are terrible as well especially with the conditions of their plants. The service is terrible every time I go it seems like the employees avoid the customers . The pricing at Lowe's is a bit extra. Lowe's quality is a bit higher than Walmart and target but that doesn't mean much. I recommend going to Home Depot which I have positive experience with customer service, better plants and conditions and the prices are so much better. read more

All I needed was something cut. I was waiting 25 minutes till someone came and helped me and it was just a grouchy employee. I had asked the cashier for help and he went on the loud speaker in the store asking for someone to help me 3 times. I love Lowe's but this new practice of having store associates "Cold call" a sales pitch when you ask for help is really annoying. Lowe's no one likes a cold call!! I was shopping for a new toolbox when the associate asked if I needed help. I just said I was browsing. Then she launched into selling me on rain gutter guards. I'm working!! I normally have a great experience in my usual Lowe's, but this day I was in a location I have never been before. The app on my phone worked, for the most part, for locating items I wanted so no issue there. When I went to check out I told the clerk I was a veteran so to get the discount, and his response was "What do you want me to do, clap?" I bought a riding mower at the Lowes in Orem. When I got home I discovered there was no key to start the engine. I called 6 times, got the recording each time. I don't know who is supposed to answer questions but I waited over 20 minutes for the 6 calls, for someone, anyone to answer my call. I don't know how any business could stay in business with this poor customer service. My last call before I had to go back to the store was hung up by the store after waiting over 7 minutes. Ok, so after the fiasco at the AF/Lehi Lowe's....I did ask the girl at the AF/Lehi store if she could check the stock over at the Orem store and stated the Orem store had 3 of the cabinets we wanted. In stock. We find 1 and there is a hole in the box about the size of a tennis ball. And you can see in the hole that the partical board is busted up. The box underneath is destroyed. And the 3rd? Eh, I managed retail so I know inventory can be off. But 2. I see a worker and point out that the box has the hole and the parts are broken. "Yeah, that's not right. That's not suppose to be like that." Stands there for a bit. Maybe needs to be coached along for the next possible step. Nothing. Blank look. And now I have to see if Home Depot carries these cabinets. Home freaken I'm not gonna move from this area but I'll point you in the wrong direction and pretend to know what I'm talking about Depot. read more

I haven't had very good luck with the Lowes in Orem. They don't seem to answer their phones and when they do, I would get hung up on - one day 4 different times!!!! HOWEVER, today changed everything - We had a dryer delivered and as per usual, they didn't bring the parts to connect up the steam. In fact, they didn't even tell us! I got looking through our receipt and discovered we had paid for a kit they didn't bring and that is why they didn't install it!!! I was furious, to say the least! I didn't pay $1000.00 for a dryer that didn't have the steam function. I called the store this afternoon and ask for appliances and on the second ring, Harrison picked up the phone. I explained my situation and complained about all the problems with the prior delivery of the washer. He was very kind and patient and got his supervisor to try to help. The supervisor never picked up the phone, so Harrison came back and apologized! After checking the inventory, the driver never picked up the steam kit that we paid for. Harrison ask if it was o.k. if he called me back rather than put me on hold. About an hour later, he did call me back and asked if it was o.k. if he came out and hooked up the steam function on the dryer. I was shocked! Well, long story short, this young man came to our home with the kit and within 30 minutes had everything put together and hooked up. We were so grateful for him because otherwise who knows how long we would have to wait to have the delivery guy come back out! Talk about customer service! This young man restored my faith in LOWES!! Their garden center is deplorable. It doesn't matter what time of year you visit. I went this past spring and the vast majority of the plants were literally rotting. I chalked it up to a wet spring although they could have easily been moved and placed under cover. Thought I would try them for the summer. Well again instead of over watered the plants were under watered and dying. I happened to be at Lowe's for something unrelated this fall and popped my head into the garden center to see if they had and gourds or pumpkins. It was the worst I'd ever seen it. They were selling plants that were literally dead. Oh they greatly reduced the price but it was embarrassing. The plants should have been tossed long ago. Helpful staff - There were at least two different staff members who tended to us and helped us find the tools we needed to finish our project. Great return policy - I was gifted a orbital sander from Lowe's and three months later I was about to open the sander when I realized that I wanted a belt sander instead...I called Lowe's up and they said that I could come exchange the sander and everything workout out perfectly! Everyone was happy. (I did have the receipt and never opened the box...so that made things less complicated, but three months is three months, so I was glad they exchanged it.) I got in line and after 10 min of ringing up the fool ahead of me who holds up the entire line because he has decided to take the cashiers suggestion and apply for a credit card. So I hop the line to another one, I'm now 4 people deep in line. 3 customers all just say no to the credit card suggestion. They just swipe a card and move on, but not the gentleman ahead of me. Yep he decided wow that's a good idea. Are you kidding me? Yes once again I hop the line. That poor cashier asked if I wanted my receipt printed or emailed? I've shopped at this Lowe's so many times, it feels like a second home. If you like a big box home improvement store, this one will do. It is clean and well-organized with all the sections such as plumbing, electrical, and hardware set up in an intuitive fashion. I've always found exactly what I need when shopping at this Lowe's. The pricing is right on most items and the items are good quality unlike some of the stuff you will find at popular super stores (rhymes with Stall-Mart). I have purchased big ticket items like a generator, high-end vacuum cleaner, lawnmower, chainsaw, and barbecue along with lower priced items. This is absolutely the worse store I've ever been too. Staff is lazy, they WILL NOT HELP YOU. Every time I go they are extremely disrespectful. They will roll their eyes at you and they will give you attitude. If you're a POC expect to be disrespected and mistreated by staff. The customer service in the gardening department of this Lowe's is horrible. When I tried to ask a question, I was first ignored and then told "it's not in this department"! It would have been helpful to have been guided to the correct location in the store. However I sometimes need some less popular things like run capacitors for my AC or replacement trim for my vinyl deck which you can only find online. The worst customer service I have ever experienced. They told me that our fridge would be delivered on a certain day and the day of delivery they call me and tell me that it's backordered and we won't have it. Then the day they finally deliver it, they forget to bring the tube for the icemaker and I called them to tell them to get it for us and they said they won't be able to install it that day now. So I actually had to go pick up the part that they forgot. And they hardly showed any concern or care. I will never order from Lowe's again. I was sure it existed and looked around for 10 minutes. Eventually I tried searching the lowes.com website from my phone. I didn't know the term for what I needed so this made the search a little challenging but I ran into my item on the website. The website actually told me what aisle and "bay" to find my item at there at the store - bingo! So while the worker wasn't helpful, the website was and I did leave with what I needed. read more
