This place was super cute and aesthetic. As a first time planter, I decided to come here to get my plants. I had previously called and asked which plants would be the most suitable for beginners. (They are very responsive on the phone, which is great!) They told me that there will be people who could help me out at the store. Yet, when I arrived nobody greeted or helped out. When I asked for tips from two workers, they said they were not sure. So, I had to walk around to ask different workers. I was quite disappointed with the help and knowledge of the workers. As I was mainly looking at house plants, I must say that I was quite disappointed with some of the plants that I was previously eyeing. There were leaves that were broken off and wilting. Yet, I also managed to find other plants that looked so pretty! I love the selection of the pots and think that they are a good price in comparison to other online stores. I loved how they also helped me repot my plants for free as I purchased the pot AND the plant from the store (their requirement for free potting).

They have a great selection of indoor plants!! Tons of cute pots also. I purchased a plant and then noticed they will repot your new plant so I went back and bought a pot. There was no drainage hole in the pot so they even made me one!!!! Whaaaaat? Who does that?!? They do! My new favorite (just moved to Utah) nursery.

Very weird vibe going on over there. The employees are rude and not helpful. Would not recommend.

Cameron was knowledgeable, confirming my choice and arranging for delivery and planting. The meticulous attention to detail by Roberto and John in removing the old tree and planting the new should be the standard for all nurseries, but it isn't. During the experience I spoke at length to some 5 or 6 other emplyees. They all had both the time and the knowledge to help me. Well-run business.

Gorgeous to look at, complicated to grow If you are looking…read morefor the prettiest nursery in Utah County, the search ends here. Sun River Gardens is beautifully organized, thoughtfully displayed, and stocked with a selection that puts most nurseries in the area to shame. Walking through it feels less like a garden center errand and more like an experience worth making time for. The indoor plant section is well curated and extensive. The outdoor area covers annuals, perennials, trees, and shrubs. The pottery selection, both indoor and outdoor, is lovely and priced accordingly. The pre-potted arrangements are hard to walk past. And then there is the home decor section, which is genuinely my favorite part of the visit. Exclusive, elegant, and full of pieces you simply will not find anywhere else, from beautiful accents and furniture to the most charming toys you can imagine. None of it is cheap, but none of it looks like anything else either. Now for the part I have been trying to figure out for years. I have a green thumb. I have a home full of healthy thriving plants. But something consistently happens with the plants I bring home from Sun River Gardens. Within a week or two, despite careful attention and following care instructions, they decline and die. This has happened enough times to be a pattern rather than a coincidence. Interestingly I have noticed the same thing with plants from other high end nurseries, while plants from Harmons or even Walmart almost always thrive. My best guess is that greenhouse grown plants raised in highly controlled environments struggle more with the transition to home conditions, but I genuinely do not know. What I do know is that it keeps happening. And yet I keep coming back, because the selection and the experience are that good. Four stars for the atmosphere, the inventory, and that home decor section. Just go in with realistic expectations if you are buying plants to keep alive.

Maybe I'm just boring but what crackhead thinks that trying to shop and find things in your size with zero organization is fun?!! I gave up after 15 minutes and walked out. I generally like Ross but the shopping experience there has suffered significantly since the deadly combination of the pandemic and Bidenomics. That combination killed far more businesses than the pandemic killed actual people. This has led to less variety and product availability. Treasure hunts are only fun if you find some treasure and I find significantly less treasure now than I did 5 years ago and any point prior to that. I have three daughters and live in Las Vegas. There's a major East/West road that cuts across the entire valley and has about a dozen Ross locations on, or within a mile of it. My kids used to love it when I took them "Ross Crawling" on a Saturday but the joy of that has dried up pretty significantly due to less product and variety. It would be awfully hard to #RossCrawl if there was no organization of clothing items by size since you're rolling through at high speed looking for specific items, which usually includes clothes/shoes. Thankfully, the only location that consistently seems incapable of grouping similar sizes of clothing and shoes in their corresponding sections is the Orem location. Seriously, I'm not talking about a couple of items that have somehow been moved to the wrong section, it's the whole store. I've stopped at this location nearly every time I've visited UT the past 15 years and I'm done. It was so bad on my last visit that I gave up forever. I realize that many stores move their stuff around regularly so you have to hunt for stuff, which causes you to maybe find things you weren't shopping for that you might choose to purchase. To be fair, I don't love that either but this is ridiculous.
