These people (Lowes) falsely advertise themselves as #1 in customer satisfaction. What a crock ! Here's my experience which will partially explain why I am now a HOME DEPOT customer for life. When I moved to the area from another state where I had been a Lowes customer I needed purchase some new items: Top of line LG refrigerator. ($3,400) Z turn John Deere lawnmower ($4,400) LG microwave ($300) The lawnmower blew a piston at 279 hours! - average is 1,500 hrs Microwave just quit. Refrigerator blew compressor. When I took the issue to local store manager in form of hand delivered letter asking for recompense at first he denied receiving it. I could feel him sweating thru the phone when I finally did track him down."Nothing I can do about it" was the bottom line from him. So, took it too Corporate in NC direct to CEO Marvin Ellison. Got return response from his pleasant secretary in a dialogue that lasted several weeks and was filled with enough corporate BS to choke a maggot. Bottom line? Went to Lowe's to buy a fire pit. Had a specific design that was on display. Asked if we could buy it, but was told no. Had a young gentleman who was helpful and told us that they had three in stock. Later the Manager walked up and told us we couldn't buy the one we wanted. He was rude and we waited for almost 45 minutes to have someone help us. In the end we still were not able to buy the fire pit we wanted. We simply just wanted to buy something nice and were treated unfairly. Would give a zero if I could. The employees at this store are horrible. Went in for pricing on flooring. The flooring supervisor saw the list of materials from a quote we received from Home Depot. He said he wasn't going to go through the items in the quote and give us prices because Lowes had to measure the area. There were only four items in the quote; the flooring, the transition pieces, quarter round and underlayment. We didn't even ask him to look at the quote or try to give him the document. I should have known to walk away before I spoke to him, based on the way he was responding to the person he was talking to that was ahead of us. That person left mad as well. We purchased a new dryer last weekend and scheduled delivery for today Along with the dryer we purchased a new 8' dryer vent hose and clamp We also paid to have the old dryer removed The delivery/installer called about 12:00 and advised they were on their way When they arrived the first thing they did was remove the old unit. Then they brought in the new dryer put it in the closet plugged it in and turned it on Had me sign the receipt and left After they left we noticed they did not install and give us the new vent hose When I called the manager on duty I was advised that we could either reschedule the install or Come by the store and receive the hose and clamps to install ourselves I have attempted to install myself with little success I am quite frustrated with the entire experience read more

I stood in line to get to the self check out registers the only ones open by the way, No actual cashiers were available. when I got my turn I realized i could not use my military discount at the self service register, so I waited for the attendant and I was politely told she could ring me up but I needed to get back in line. and of coarse no manager available, no one else to help and just try to call this store and get a person on the line. I am elderly and not able to lift the heavy bags of mulch that I bought. I went to the drive through pick up where there is supposed be someone loading your car with all these bags. There was no one there to help me load my car. There were 5-6 cars behind me. I called into the garden center twice and they just chuckled and said they would be there. No one showed up. Many loaded their vehicles with whatever they had ordered. I had to load my own heavy bags. I hurt my back and neck. I probably should have gone back into the store and waited for someone to help me. At Lowe's in Newnan, there is not always someone to assist with any heavy lifting or loading. I am very disappointed. I did call customer service after I got home. I got the wrong bag and I have to return it tomorrow so customer service said they would help me tomorrow when I called. I did not know I needed to call them. I could have saved a chiropractor bill. They were nice when I called. I would not recommend that any elderly people or people who are not completely able bodied go to Lowes. There is no one to help you load any heavy items. Horrible service. Ordered a new dishwasher that was supposed to be delivered Friday. Never showed up. They said the truck broke down. Changed delivery to Monday. Again they never showed up. When I called (they never called me) they said it was crushed, but a new one will be delivered tomorrow. Guess what??? No dishwasher or call today. I called and was told Lowes canceled my order. Next a spoke to a warehouse "supervisor " Richard, he said that my original order never came so it was reordered yesterday and would be delivered tomorrow. I am writing a slight addendum to my review of Lowe's Newnan a few days ago. As I stated at the end of my review, I was awaiting a phone call from the general manager of the store. He did indeed call me the day after I had called corporate. What I appreciated about his phone call is that he was not condescending nor did he talk down to me after listening to my complaint and concerns. He did apologize as I figured he would, but he also offered a compensading refund for a portion of our order. He handled this situation with compassion and dignity. I would give zero stars if I could. I have been a loyal Lowe's customer for over 20 years. I recently purchased kitchen cabinets from Lowe's on Bullsboro Dr. Newnan, Ga on 6/2/21 after our home was destroyed in a tornado. I was told delivery was 7-8 weeks. Then Shenandoah cabinets called and informed me it would be 9/15/21. They called again end of July and stated now it would be 9/22/21, due to not having materials or workers. I have called customer service and the store several times for my refund. I have went to the store 4 times and each time keep getting the run around. I paid almost $10,000 cash for these cabinets and need my money back ASAP. I have to be back in my house by September and cannot wait on these cabinets when other vendors have them in stock. I spoke with the store manager, Brian finally on Monday and he said they don't keep that much cash and he would be contacting the district manger to issue me a check overnight. He stated the check should be here today, Wednesday, August 25, 2021. I have called the store and he is not working today. I spoke to store manager and now he says he never told me that. He states he told me 3-4 days which is a lie. No one knows where my money is. I'm sick of this. I want my money back NOW! I paid cash but can't receive cash back. They are supposed to give you the money back like they got it. They have a problem refunding my money but if I needed extra time to pay, I wouldn't get it. I WANT my money back now. Besides adopting the same strategy as the other failure "big box" hardware stores. Lowes quietly initiated the a new policy. Like most corporate giants that have become too big and forget how they got there, they only look for ways to increase the bottom line and keep the shareholders happy. They will no longer take anything back without a receipt. This is something I take issue with as in the past I could always get a store credit. This is valuable to a contractor like me who always over buys materials because it is always cheaper in the long run for me to simply return unused materials and then it is for me to make numerous trips to the store picking up additional materials each time. As a part of their data collection campaign they have initiated a myLowe's card program. They promote the myLowe's card as a way to track your purchases and even return products without the receipt but we all know it is a way to track demographics and customer spending habits just like Kroger and all the other corporate greedy giants. However, if you never opened up an account and you purchased something only to later change your mind, you are now screwed. Until their recent corporate lust to increase their bottom line, returning items has NEVER been an issue and that is mainly the reason I as a contractor purchased so much material from them in the past. I have been a very loyal customer to Lowe's for over 25 years and look forward to their recent self initiated demise. It has been no secret that companies like Lowe's and Home Depot hardly even understand the products they are selling anymore but it was the return policy that helped me to look past their sheer ignorance of the construction industry subject matter and they care more about selling picture frames, curtains and barbecue grills than actual construction materials. read more

I can see by other reviews that this particular Lowe's is not held in high esteem. We decided to go with this particular Lowe's location to have a fence put in our backyard. We got other estimates frobm other companies but thought Lowe's, was a reputable and honest company and they offered a years warranty on their work. The gentleman that came out to give us the estimate was nice enough but then the downfall of this order began. We were told numerous times when wood would be delivered. My husband originally told him where we wanted the fence to be located and because he marked it wrong we had to have him come out again. When he said he'd be out, he never showed up on that day. He finally came out again and marked it again this time the correct way the way it should have been done the first time if he had listened. He also told us we would have to pay more because we were adding more footage. So back to the store we went to pay for the additional fencing. We were told numerous times when the additional wood would be delivered. Finally it showed up. My husband went through the wood and I would say 90% of it was rotten and crud. Most of the pieces were turned inside facing downward so the customer,Us,would not know that this was the case. We complain the sales person. He told us that the wood manager at the store and himself went through all the wood that would be used for fencing like ours was and it all was no good and bad. They told us that they wouldn't be buying from this manufacturer of wood anymore and offensive would be upgraded. They also told us that upgraded would would be delivered to us and the old garbage wood picked up. The gentleman that delivered the wood told my husband that the old wood is typical of what you would with like. My husband said, so you're telling me you would build a fence in your yard or at your mother's home with this wood. Of course he had to look at my husband and say no he would not. What made him think we would want a fence built with cruddy wood? We were told for over a week and a half if not more that the installer would be coming. Never showed up. When he finally did show up, it have been raining the night before but he still proceeded to install the fence. It started to rain while he was installing it so there was mud everywhere. We also noticed that we had a lot of extra wood and cement leftover. If the sales manager had estimated correctly which he told us he had done, we wouldn't have this much wood and cement left over that we of course had paid for. The plot thickens. Once the fence was installed we were told that the cruddy wood would still be picked up. Still not picked up. We finally disposed of it ourselves at our cost. The gate pages started to come out of the wood. Once again we called our sales person and he said he would put in an order for it to be fixed. He told us the installer would call us the next day. The installer called us in 4 days. The installer called us on a Sunday afternoon and told my husband he would be out Monday morning to repair the fence. I was sitting right next to my husband when the installer said this to him. He never showed up the next day and when my husband calls him on it, he had the nerve to tell my husband that he never said that and that he never tells people he comes out the next day and in all his 22 years of installing fences he never agrees to that. So basically he called my husband a liar. I was sitting right there when my husband asked him when hed be out and I said to him, when is he coming. Unbelievable! I have called their corporate offices in North Carolina and filed a detailed complaint. I am awaiting the general manager of this particular location to call me back. In building a home we had a Lowe's consultant at the store help us order our kitchen cabinets. It took 6 months to get our cabinets installed and we still do not have one of the cabinets we paid for. Terrible experience purchasing a microwave here. Purchased the microwave and had it installed by lowes. The installers cracked the back while installing. We called the local store and managed to have a new one sent out. Or so we thought. Nothing came and nothing came. I tried to call the local store and no one ever answered at the appliance desk. Finally after 2 months the manager, Jill said we were talking to the wrong people to begin with. That points to a training issue with employees. Do yourself a service and go ANYWHERE else. read more

As far as "big box" stores go, Lowe's is the norm. I go to this Lowe's because it's close to the house and I can usually find what I need in a short amount of time. I also shop that this Lowe's because they usually have the appliance I need (i.e washers, dryers, water heaters) when I need it and the setting up of the delivery and the delivery it's self is relatively painless. Plus, I usually can save $50-$100 over Home Dopey on my appliance purchases. Overall, I like this Lowe's. read more

I was suppose to have some lumber delivered today. I never got the call on Wednesday to give the window of time for the delivery. I called and got the department that does the deliveries and the man that I spoke with was stressed, you could tell he was stressed by his voice. They didn't hold it for me when it came in. Couldn't tell me why they didn't hold it when I've already paid for it. Then couldn't tell me when they'd get another one in. Never buy a John Deere lawnmower from Lowe's. I made the mistake and did and had to order it was told it would take two weeks but took a month then once it made it to the store and John Deere came to put it together I was told it would be another three days till it could be delivered to my house so I bought a trailer and went to pick it up. When it was brought to the front it was on a pallet jack and lifted by the deck of the mower... You don't pick up a five hundred pound mover by the deck.. After all that get it home used it one time and it had a vibration when you turned the blades on.. Called lowes and they wanted 200.00 to pick it up. I purchased a Hot Point washer back in the middle of November 2015 and the washer broke. I'm only one person in a home that only washes clothes one time a week and not many clothes at all. My dress clothes that I wear everyday goes to the dryer cleaner every week. I had my bill where I purchased. the washer. The Manager Glen told me on the phone to bring my washer back to Lowes and they would replace it with the same washer. I couldn't go that afternoon so I waited to go the next morning. The Manager Mike in the morning at Lowes in Newnan Ga would not take the washer back he said it had been more than 30 days. The reason I called was to make sure that they would replace it before I make a trip to the store. Manager Mike that has no customer service skills told me that he wasn't going to take it and the Manager Glen was new on the team and told me wrong. I work in customer service everyday at my job. If a team member give out the wrong information we will do what the customer was told. This is what good customer service is all about. Manager Mike needs to be trained again on good customer service skills. Manager Glen was very helpful on the Phone, the only mistake I made was not jumping up and taking it to the store right then. I want purchase anything from Lowes again. The Manager Glen looked up my account and saw that I had purchase three washers in the last 9 months. I would have given more stars, because I have had great experiences at Lowe's Newnan. However, this experience leaves a bit to be desired. I just bought a range and microwave. I ended up purchasing online, since the appliance salesman (he was a middle aged man) acted like helping me was a huge burden. I knew the exact model I wanted. Since that model was not sold in stores, my only request was to see another oven that was the same size. This salesman sighed and said just look at any of them. Uh, not so. They come in different sizes jerk! I then asked to place an order, and he rolled his eyes and acting bored told me that the soonest he could get it in was December 22. I went home and ordered online. The range and microwave arrived today, December 11. Despite the awful salesman, I should mention that the delivery manager at Lowe's in Newnan is extremely nice and helpful as are the delivery drivers that came to my home today. read more
