Costco in Sharpsburg has officially become a joke. Every single weekend the yogurt machine is "down," and on the rare occasion it actually works, the only flavor available is chocolate. I thought McDonald's was supposed to be famous for broken ice cream machines, but apparently Costco is trying to take the crown. The sad part? Costco is losing money over this. I spend over $300 every weekend, and now that money goes straight to Sam's Club because at least they can keep their food machines running and their staff somewhat professional. Needless to say, I will NOT be renewing my membership. Fix the employee behavior, fix the management issues, and for the love of God fix the yogurt machine. read more

I loveeeeeee Costco! This was my first time at this location, but I definitely wasn't disappointed. The employees are really nice, the prices are reasonable, and the food court has delicious hotdogs. I came here to look for Christmas items, along with Thanksgiving items. Costco had everything I needed. I also purchased some snacks and etc, for my son and his family. This Costco has been open for a few years now, but still shines like a newer location. Sitting at the corner of Fischer Crossings and Highway 54, this Costco has become a regular stop for me when I am in town. My dad's doctor is located just across the street, so when I take him to his appointments, I always make it point to stop by to grab a few of my favorites and to fill up the tank. This location is smaller than others in the metro area, so they do have a limited assortment of items. Luckily most of the stuff I go to Costco for is universal, so I have never really had an issue finding what I was after. Service is solid, hit and miss at the service desk though. Nothing major, just some unnecessary 'tude when asking for a new card on my first visit in. Overall, solid Costco location that is always on rotation when I am back home. read more

They forced me to renew my membership at the checkout instead of going to the Customerservice area and now I'm stuck with a business membership that I don't want anymore. I would've gone with just a regular Stuff membership, but they do not give me that option at the checkout stand horrible customer service. I'm leaving Costco. I'll go back to Sam's Club. The chicken is better and there's nothing Costco has to offer, but I can't get anywhere else in the world. I've been a while member for years, but I'll never come back. I should've been offered the chance to just renew at a regular rate at the checkout counter and not forced back into another business membership. I have been a long-time customer of Costco because I love the customer service, cleanliness of the store and the great prices! Recently, I had a terrific experience at the Sharpsburg, GA Costco location. In my search for a new 85" TV, I contacted a well-known retail store for information and was unable to get in touch with anyone. I then called Costco and was immediately connected to Nicole in the Electronics department. Nicole spent at least 45 minutes on the phone with me explaining the differences in technologies, brand features, sound bars, wall mounting, etc. I was so confident in Nicole's expertise that I purchased two TV's, two soundbars and two wall mounts. I am extremely happy with my purchases, and I will continue to shop at the Sharpsburg, GA Costco location!! If I ever need with anything in the electronics department, I will get Nicole's help. Double check your Tire appointments! I have been a member of Costco since the original location near Seattle. I have had recent problems in the Tire department. Long waits, very very busy, and recently I was given a telephone tire appointment near PT City that was incorrect. They treated me like it was my fault. The guy said they would not have scheduled four cars to have four new tires at the same time. I had to reschedule or wait hours! Not even a common courtesy apology for the inconvenience. I had written it on my calendar immediately. I have found several rude, overworked people in the Tire department and it seems they need a representative at the desk at all times. I know they work hard. But this is a reoccurring problem with rudeness. And lacking sufficient seating for these extended waiting periods. read more

It's ok. Not great. But we were checking ourselves out through self checkout and this employee jumps in at the end to try to finish scanning for us. We were doing just fine and all she did was cause confusion. Never mind the other male employee at self checkout that stares you down to make sure you're not stealing anything. ( not everyone is a theif. And normal people don't like to be treated as such). If you don't trust customers to self checkout. Hire more cashiers please. This place used to be better. read more

We spend hundreds of dollars here monthly (sometimes thousands), but today that may have changed my commitment to Costco. Today we went to get food from the food court. How hard is it to mess up pizza? Apparently not hard at all. We ordered one chicken bake, one piece of pizza, one soda. The lady working the counter was rude and after she plated my pizza she then leaves it on the counter, cold, and tells me it'll be a few minutes before the chicken bake is finished. Ok... I don't mind waiting, but common curtesy would have her put the pizza back under the warmer, right? No, she instead leaves it sitting cold on the counter until I ask her to do so. Eventually we receive our food, pizza cold, chicken bake NOT cooked 100%. I take it to the table and find out that the pizza is indeed super cold, as we thought. So my partner takes it up to ask for fresh piece, but is told no, they can only reheat it. Really? You're gonna put a partially eaten pizza back into your oven where you have other shoppers food? I'm not sure that would go over well with the health department. When my partner comes back he tells me they told him no to a fresh piece, but offered to heat up the old one. So I take his plate and go up the the manager and say, "You told him no to another piece, but you offered to heat his partially eaten old one, how is this even ok from a health point of view?" He says to me, "He never asked for a new piece, and he needs to learn how to talk to people." Are you kidding me? Lol. My jaw hit the floor. This guy is gonna talk about needing to know how to talk to people? So I again bring up the issue of cold food, uncooked chicken bake, and now the health thing. Not only that, but since when did customer service become about having to ask for the right thing to be done? Customer service is about going above and beyond and meeting the needs of a customer before it has been asked. It's about anticipating the need and making it right. I asked for a supervisor, and he was nice, but at that point I couldn't separate the fact we had just dropped $300.41 in groceries and they're fussing over my request to not make us eat pizza that was cold and cost $1.99 and a chicken bake that wasn't cooked. Sounds like Costco is hurting and pinching pennies these days. We buy clothes, food, prescriptions, patio furniture, plants, etc... you name it, we buy it at Costco. We even buy memberships for family members for birthdays and holidays, yet you can't remedy a piece of pizza, nor show kindness to your customers? SAMS Club is a stones throw away, so maybe we'll take our business (our family and friends as well) over there. If you can live with it, we can live without it. To close out, my partner went up and asked another person for a refund, because the principal of the matter. She said she removed the charge, but I just got home to find that she removed $2.13 of the $7.14 we spent at the food court. I guess I'll just call my bank and cancel the charge since y'all are that petty. P.S. When you have to soak up oil and grease with napkins because your pizza is so soggy, we probably shouldn't expect much from a pizza that cost $1.99 per slice. First time here! This is the city center of retail captivating an audience like a summer blockbuster with great street style quick food at fair prices, fun use of tasting stations around the store, and excessive inventory making for a bewilderment of needs verses wants. Us guys popped in quick for a big event mac n cheese stockpile which immediately turned into a museum style sample run of pizza and churro. It was a wonderful good time! I can see the appeal and reasons why Costco pulls a huge fanbase, quality store brand doing some incredible things better than anyone else like one ingredient peanut butter, excellent clothing brand, and ideal fix for family meals. read more

Roast beef sandwich - over-rated. For practically $10, you get a lot of day-old bread, with some condiments and barely any roast beef... of which is a cold sandwich (is there tax on cold items... hmmmm)... no chips... and no drink included. So basically, for lunch, I had an $8 lunch. read more

Costco needs no introduction and definitely not a hype man.... it stands on it's reputation. Great prices on quality, bulk items and I've always enjoyed their traveling road show vendors with unique and custom finds or even start-ups. I only put Costco gas in both my Jeep and my car and I've never had an issue, plus the gas is always cheaper than everywhere else. The wine selection is amazing and the meats and seafood are too quality. And when it's time to get new tires, I only come here. I'm at Costco several times a week, I really need to buy stock. This is my closest Costco since I moved southwest of Atlanta. I like that this one is a bit calmer than the other locations I've been to, even on a Saturday afternoon. The selection is not quite as varied as the locations north of Atlanta, which is understandable given the fact that this one is less busy and doesn't have as diverse of a population as those locations. I usually don't mind the trade off, though, given the ease of coming here and parking. read more

Unfortunately, this store does not have a wide variety of organic options. That forces me to go to other stores to find what I want, which is tiring. The oranges were absolutely, horrible. Bitter and huge. This is the season that fruit should be at its peak. In addition, the store is short on leafy veggies like fresh collard greens and the like. Of course, they carry spring lettuce, like every other store in our area. I asked a worker why they stopped carrying collards and he said the customer demand was low. Understandable. Great healthy options are in demand, nationwide and in the best interest of shoppers. I have been a customer of warehouse clubs for decades, but being an empty nester now, it's not worth it, especially since the products are of no true value to me. By not having a wide range of organic, healthy foods, Costco has lost me as a customer. read more

We love to shop at Costco's. The Sharpsburg location is our go to local stop for everything. The reason why I cannot give it five stars is the service. This past year we have noticed that the new employees are loud, not as helpful and sometimes just rude. I don't know is it's the management or what. Examples: Employees avoiding customers when they need help in the aisles. Cashiers and middle management barking orders as loud as they can up front. Every time we go we notice the constant yelling. Employees hanging out together and complaining about hours or management in the middle of the store. Seen this multiple times. Sorry Costco but you can do better! read more

I had my CR-V serviced at the Costco location for a simple tire rotation and balance, after I picked it up I noticed cuts on my steering wheel (Left side) called and file a complaint and was ask to then file a claim! I did and they said "Out tech wear plastic groves" my mechanic said someone driving your car had a tool or something in there while turning the wheel and cause the damage. They declined to repair my vehicle and now I'm left with a damaged steering wheel and loss of value to my car.the it's not over by any means. read more

Love this Costco! Parking lot is a bit crazy but if you don't go on a weekend it's usually pretty chill. The lines go by super fast and while my husband pays for everything I get us pizza and hot dogs. They might be short staffed right now bc there is usually a wait on food but of course there is since a hotdog and drink still only costs $1.50 I highly recommend this Costco! read more

What's going on at Costco, before employees were polite, helpful, respectful but it's all going downhill and I'm noticing it more at this local Costco. Being a member for almost 20 years I was taken aback at the treatment I received. Despite having a receipt, I was still treated as though I was a thief. Talk about profiling without even first finding out what the issue is. I am so disappointed with Costco. I had purchased a tablet and the person who gave me the box gave me the box for the stylus and not the tablet yet on the box it was a photo of the tablet. So I could see how the mistake was made being that it was very busy. But when I went back to Customer Service I immediately informed them I got the wrong box and the rude employee working there gave me a stare down seriously only to tell me that we have many people stealing items so she would have to contact a manager to come and walk me to the back counter to figure out and investigate whether this item was in fact not stolen. I guess common sense would dictate that if I did steal the item I wouldn't be going to customer service in the first place! The bottom line was they realized it was a mistake on their part and ended up giving me the tablet. I spoke to the manager and told him about the type of treatment I received. He said very many people come to this Costco and they do steal so it is not his employees fault for assuming that I was a thief so to speak. I then realized this is how the employees are trained to assume everyone as a thief, fraud and a liar. So how can we expect good service from employees who think that all their customers are thieving scumbags. read more

If your thinking about purchasing a major appliance at Cosco save yourself some frustration and buy from a company that doesn't pass the warranty to a 3rd company ie: After 90 days You have to go through the manufacturer. In our case it's Kennmore We've been with out a washer for over a month now. Originally a two week wait for an appointment from A&E appliance service. A&E showed up @ 5pm on a saturday. The guy clearly was in a hurry to leave . He told us that the error code was that we were useing too much soap. After researching the code that was a lie. Two rescheadules and two no shows with no phone calls The notes from the "repair/conman" stated no one was home. I've spent Close to $300 at the launderymat. Kennmore did rescheadule an appointment on tues at 9/19 with A&E. Im guessing it will be more of the same. read more

I took my car in to Costco tire department. I received 4 new tires. The customer service was amazing, and the wait time was very acceptable. Several months later, i developed a leak(dashboard warning). I took it back to Costco and they fixed it. Valve stem leaking. They fixed it free of charge. A month later, a different tire was leaking. They said they could not fix it, because it was worn. "You need a new tire". Hmmm. 2 out of 4 are leaking? I need a NEW tire? Why, why do you think its worn? I asked. Your alignment is off. ?? ALL other tires are fine? Do you think maybe because of the leak, the tire was worn? They would NOT fix the leak and told me I needed a new tire. SO. Just my theory. They did a SHOTTY JOB mounting the tires. (2 out of 4, 50%) leaking? Why do you think it was worn? Improper inflation. Why was it improperly inflated? Because of the leak. Why was it leaking? Improper mounting at Costco tire shop. PS.! DO NOT GO TO MAVIS. (thats another horror story). read more

Been visiting this location since its opening on August 22. Since that time, I have noticed the positive and proud work ethic of the store decline. I brought this up to some of the employees and they told me about how management has been mistreating staff. Hours and career opportunities have been cut. On one hand, they're understaffed. On the other, management is wanting them to do the work of 3 or more people without any assistance or guidance. So when they under perform, they get fired since it hasn't been their 90 days yet. Communication has also been lacking between the office and the floor. Many fear of losing their job not because it pays them well (about 1200 a month) but because they don't know where they would go. They also fear being fired if they get a 2nd part time job. I have a background in management and have looked into costco. It appears that the GM works on commission depending on how well the store does. So with him cutting people out of the job and cutting hours, I can only imagine that he's lining his pockets. I will not be returning to this location because I can't see my fellow friends and neighbors be treated as if they're walmart or sam's club employees. If you're in management and you lack integrity and communication skills, why are you in management? I suppose other people's livelihoods don't matter to them because everyone is replaceable. The only redeeming department of the entire store is the tire center. They seem the most hard working, honest and sincere. P.S. I don't agree with the electronics department employees pushing squaretrade protection plans on me and then following me to the register. That's creepy and invasive. read more

The poor reviews here are probably stem from sore SAM's Club folk that a far superior warehouse club has moved into town. The Pharmacy review above on the black pharmacist is blatant racism, and is of zero value (yelp should pull it) This Costco is amazing. They have just about everything you could want and carry strong brands. Costco's own Kirkland brand is well crafted, high quality for both items and food. This is a fine tune operation, it speaks volumes that all of the employees are wearing mask and they have a plan in place to keep customers safe. The direction of the flow of traffic and after each transaction the employee are sanitizing the surfaces. It's well appreciated. read more

I was absolutely amazed at how FAST everyone who works at Costco was moving when I was there yesterday. Covid-19 closings had the line to the back of the store AND down the aisles. I went from the back of the line to checking out in LESS than 10 minutes!!! Every employee was kind and some even had smiles on their faces. So excited this Costco opened up. Being from North Atlanta, we missed Costco more than anything moving to the Southside. Customer service is fantastic. They are always fully stocked and it's not crazy busy yet. We are not Brookhaven or Alpharetta, we are Sharpsburg. Much smaller population and average household income.
