Terrible customer service and management. Don't honor coupons as other stores. Not helpful and rude.

Granite and Marble Warehouse - Visible ugly seam in countertop that I was not advised would be there by anyone at anytime

My contractor (who did an absolutely beautiful job on the entire bathroom remodel) recommended Granite and Marble Warehouse in Peachtree City. Every single display top in their showroom is flawless and seamless, so I chose Australis solid surface expecting the same result. No one ever mentioned my simple 7 ft × 6 ft L-shaped vanity would have an obvious seam. Installation day: no call, no show until I phoned at 2:30 pm. They finally arrived at 3:30 pm and worked into the evening. When they left I found: * A very visible seam right at the corner * A long scratch they put in the top during installation I sent photos the next day. They sent their "best person" plus the original installers to repair it. The seam is still clearly visible and they told me the new scratch behind the sink "can't be fixed now" because the sink is in. My contractor's work throughout the bathroom is stunning -- tile, cabinetry, lighting, everything is perfect. Sadly, the one piece he outsourced to Granite and Marble Warehouse (the countertop that was supposed to be the centerpiece) completely ruins the whole remodel. Every single person who has seen it -- plumber, electrician, friends -- comments on how bad the seam and scratch look. I paid $2,400 expecting showroom quality. In hindsight I wish I had gone with Debeers Granite and Tile (4.7 stars) like I originally wanted.

Craig came to my house and measured more thoroughly than anyone else that came. He provided mock ups of what he was going to do and what it would look like, which no one else did. He also provided recommendations as this was my first time doing a project of this kind and I was trying to handle both this and my wife's pregnancy at the same time. When the cabinets arrived, they were great quality, real plywood and he and his crew were able to get installation done in just a few hours. These are big cabinets and spaces to maneuver in and things look great. Of all the vendors I looked at, none were more organized, thorough, or helpful as Craig in listening to what we liked and getting back to us in a timely manner. I called her and she apologized profusely, stating she was off but would get me my estimates the next day. NOTHING! Texts and calls went unanswered. You'd think with her being related and her be a "DeBeer" she would do her best to represent the company and at the very minimum, respond to a customer. However, upon reading reviews, I see this is a pattern with not just her, but this company. If they are too busy or don't want someone's business then at least have the decency to not allow me to look at granite and waste my time. I am on a schedule and doing many upgrades to our new home and Heleen has shown her unprofessionalism and lack of regard for her customers. Maybe this company needs to have someone that just follows up with customers to make sure they are being helped and quotes that they are promised are being delivered. I wouldn't recommend DeBeers to anyone. If they lack customer service while trying to get quotes, can you imagine their lack of follow up if there is a problem with the install?! And

The quartz is stunning, and you can't see the seam. The measurements were PERFECT and I can't say enough about the professionalism, speed and efficiency of the entire process! my kitchen has been transformed, and it is beautiful. THANK YOU deBeer for an EXCELLENT experience from start to finish! VERY HIGH RECOMMEND!

My initial consultation with Thomas was nothing less than perfect. He was prompt, pleasant,…read moreknowledgeable, and quite a conversationalist. We chatted for a couple of hours about expectations for my kitchen remodel as well as personal anecdotes that "helped" us get to know each other. He presented as an authentic, faithful family-man and conscientious service provider. I am single, 65 year old, retired woman and sometimes I am faced with challenges but Thomas was quite reassuring to me. BOY WAS I THE FOOL. He came back within a few days with a contract for me to sign and asked for a check for down payment. He said he needed the cash for the cabinets because he liked to pay his bills as he goes and would need the money to order the cabinets. I was taken off guard and hesitated, but he was just so convincing. So, I gave him a $12,000 check and thought the best of him. The next week he contacted me and said the dumpster would be delivered within a day or so and the team set to break down and tear out my old kitchen would be there on Saturday. Great! All concerns were cleared and we were set! The two guys came and were the most pleasant young men who worked hard for three or four hours. They cleaned the mess up and left the shell of a kitchen. Thomas calls and says he needs to pick up a check for $2,000. It was indeed in the contract that a payment was due. I wrote him a check for $2,000. I had not planned on painting the walls above my cabinets until I saw how they really needed cleaning before putting brand new cabinets up. It was already Wednesday and Thomas had not said anything about a crew coming on Thursday, and I figured no cabinet crew would be starting a new install on Friday. I asked Thomas just to make sure that I had time to paint. He was "accommodating" with me painting and told me just to let him know when I was done. I told him I would be ready for his crew on Monday.... because that's what I was lead to believe was the schedule. No word from him that week... then on through the next ... and when asked if he had any plans for my kitchen he said he had to do something with his crew while I painted so he sent them to another job. I said ok. Then he said it would be 2-3 days. So after 10 I questioned him again. He was slower and slower to respond. He sent me a picture of him in a hospital bed but no message or explanation. He had a cap on his hair indicating he was having/had a procedure. He "butt dialed" me and I answered and he acted like he couldn't hear me. So a little later he calls me as he is getting in a vehicle (seatbelt dinging, engine cranking, voice going to speaker) and said he was probably going to have a heart cath. He did not elaborate and I didn't ask. Hospitals will not let you drive yourself away after having any procedure done. Days go by.... I get no response with answers about fixing my kitchen. I ask him if he is ignoring me and he assures me he is not. Sucker. I am a sucker for a liar. Meanwhile, my kitchen has been left with sheetrock off the walls, power outlets dangling and wires exposed, open hole from the exhaust vent through the floor to my crawlspace, natural gas pipe/connector sticking up, water pipes exposed, and the floor air vent (sheet metal) sticking two inches up from the floor. I have grandchildren and this is NOT A SAFE CONDITION to walk away from. Thomas has "voided my contract" because (?) I had unreasonable timeline. His letter was not clear and made no sense but he was rambling to legitimize. Anyway, I am including pictures of the condition I've been living with since March 7. He told me from the start to finish would be no longer than three weeks. And now HE IS GONE. GHOSTING ME.

I prefer their product to the their competitor as they have the bottom shelf below the clothes which they then build up from for more stability. I like having that clean surface at the base as it's easier to clean than having carpet there. Austin was the salesman who came out to the house and helped me to design my various spaces. I have to give him tons of kudos as he was super helpful throughout the entire process. The finished product looks SO great! I have to give a shout out to several of the guys specifically - I apologize that I cannot remember the first installer's name, but he worked so so hard getting all this done as it was kind of big job and I needed it finished before guests arrived that evening. I just have to just say thank you again for how hard you worked. Kendall (his assistant) is new with the company, but was so kind and helpful, especially near the end. I was panicking since I was having overnight guests arriving, and to have the beds mounding with clothes, nearly gave me heart failure. Kendall was on it, and generously offered to help me put it all away and was so meticulous that I couldn't have been happier for his help! Afterwards an adjustment needed to be done to my drawers so today José and Juan were sent out to service them. They were so professional and personable. They rapidly assessed what needed to be done and totally fixed my issue in no time at all. They were so courteous and cleaned up after themselves which is always appreciated. I love this company and am so glad I was able to get all this work done so I could finally finish unpacking! I can't recommend them highly enough!

Avoid Custom Closets of GA - Dishonest, Unethical, and Unreliable!…read moreI hired Custom Closets of GA in January 2023 and paid a 50% deposit ($5,900). Initially, they were professional, but after construction delays on my home, I had to pause the project. When I asked the owner, Jamason, if I could cancel due to budget constraints, he refused, claiming my materials were already cut and stored. He insisted that canceling would mean forfeiting my entire deposit, which was completely unfair. Fast forward to December 2023, when we were finally able to install the closets. On installation day, my superintendent informed me that the closets were cut on-site, contradicting Jamason's claim that they had been pre-cut and stored. Had he been honest about this, he could have extended some courtesy to a client dealing with major construction setbacks. The installation itself was sloppy and incomplete, with exposed areas where drywall was not leveled. I informed the installer that I would be paying 90% of the balance, holding the remaining amount until final corrections were made. Immediately, Jamason called me multiple times, demanding that I pay the full amount that day because his workers had a Christmas party that evening and needed to be paid. He mentioned he was leaving for Singapore for the holidays that night and needed the guys paid before he left. I'm not sure why any of that was relevant to me--at the end of the day, a job should be completed fully before final payment. I trusted him to finish the work, but of course, he never did. Till now, Jamason has not personally come to inspect the work or offered a viable resolution. When we finally moved into our home in December 2024, I noticed that one of the closets was missing an entire column of shelves that I had paid for. I contacted the company to either have the shelves installed or upgrade to a bank of drawers and pay the difference. The associate informed me that the drawers wouldn't match the original white and instead offered me a $300 credit for the missing shelves. Apparently, they omitted the shelves because a door would have swung into them--but as a paying client, I should have been notified and given options beforehand. Instead, they chose not to disclose this at all. Had I not personally reviewed the installation, I would have never received any credit. Final Interaction - Unprofessional and Unethical After the $300 credit offer, I reached out via text, the associate asked me to call Jamason directly. I politely declined, saying, "I'd rather not, thank you." Shortly after, Jamason called me and sarcastically asked, "Am I so scary to talk to?" At this point, I was already exhausted from dealing with this company. During our call, he rescinded the $300 credit, claiming they had stored materials for me--something he had never mentioned before. All materials were at the job site, so if there were any supposed storage costs, he should have addressed them upfront. I explained how unethical I found their business practices, how I was still waiting for a punch list of work to be completed, and how I had paid for missing shelves that were never installed. Instead of resolving the issue, he hung up on me. This company is dishonest, unprofessional, and lacks integrity. They fail to communicate, refuse to take responsibility for mistakes, and do not honor their commitments. If you value honesty, professionalism, and quality craftsmanship, I strongly advise you to take your business elsewhere.
