This store has the worst customer service. Purchased a washer dryer and was told it was in stock set a delivery date. Text the night before said it would be delivered 1030-130. The morning of the delivery I got another text saying it was out for delivery. 1 pm I called and they said that they didn't have the dryer. After letting them know how I felt about that I received a text that night saying it would be delivered the next day. A text again the morning of the delivery said it would be delivered between 1:30-4:30. I called at 130 and again they said they said it wasn't being delivered as this time they didn't have the washer. I went to the store and spoke with the assistant manager who said if o go back to the appliance section an associate would help me select a different model and he would come back and make sure I got what I was looking for. I was never approached by anyone and the assistant manager never showed up. I had the service desk call him. He shows up I told him I never had any assistance. I canceled my order with them and his attitude was just ok I'll cancel the order. There is just no accountability. read more

This Lowe's is much better stocked than the one in Leesburg. The only drawback is there isn't a Home Depot nearby. There is at Leesburg Lowe's, Home Depot is about 2 miles away. It's nice to have them close, so you have double the chance to get what you want. read more

I called Lowe's for a box of Trex (colored) screws.These are for composite decking. You have to go through their AI robotic agent before you can speak to an agent. When I told the AI agent what I wanted, they told me that the screws were in a specific aisle, and the price was lower than quoted on Lowe's website. I went to the store, the man at the pro shop looked them up. He told me that they were out of stock! So he then ordered them for me, from the vendor....Then I asked him if they had any Cedar boards in stock, in 8 feet long... 1x6" and 1x8". He told me the 1" x 6" x 8' Boards were out of stock, but the 1" x 8" x 8' were in stock....He told me that they were in Aisle 51. I went to Aisle 51, they had loads of Cedar boards, in multiple sizes....I picked out the 1" x 8" x 8', then I picked out the 1" x 6" x 8' ones. Yes, they had a bunch of sizes available. Their AI agent sucks...bad information on the screws. Also their Computer System sucks...It doesn't tell the people who are trying to assist customers accurate information. read more

Staff at this location are always willing to help you. I have also had great experience when returning items. These past few weeks I was given great customer service by several employees. A young man by name of Brad helped me figure how I could keep my Christmas reindeers from falling on windy days. He was busy helping customers with Christmas trees. But in between customers he took time to draw a picture how I could use rope and spikes to secure my Xmas display. Very kind of him to do this for me. I had a wonderful experience with an employee by name of Jena yesterday who helped me on selecting the right outdoor power outlet for my Xmas lights at a good price. As. I was about to check out another employee by name of Jill gave me good advice about the right floodlight bulbs I was purchasing and she kindly checked me out. They said my ProServices card was non-existent, told me I had to come into the store with the card. I then called Mt. Dora ProSales, 5 minutes later the order was placed with my 5% discount. Orlando. I called the outlet store in S. Orlando & spoke to Hamilton. He wouldn't give me info. on the scratch & dent washer/dryer combo & a scratch & dent smart ranges he had in stock. I told him I'd not drive an hour to his location without knowing exactly what was in stock, at what prices, delivery info & such. He sounded like he didn't want to do any research for me, so I told him if he wouldn't do his job, that I needed to talk to his supervisor. He immediately started sounding off item #s. I told him those were no good to me, instead to give me the brand names, model #s & prices. He was impossible to understand with his thick accent, e.g., he kept saying "Rico" for a brand name, when what he meant was Whirlpool. I finally got tired of trying to interpret him & hung up. Like I said, Lowe's just lost approximately $6k in sales for having a terrible automated phone system, hiring incompetent agents; therefore, wasting my time! read more

Just a Covid era Eric employees wear masks as of late September, and they certainly encourage it. There are distancing suggestions (and of course the place is huge anyway). They offer spray at the front to wipe down carts, as well as hand sanitizer. On a more general note, during my last several visits it seems like the service has improved. The garden department here is over the top hundreds of plant, tropical's to choose from. From the moment I pulled up it immediately felt like a beautiful rainbow the joy and happiness to see thousands of plants in one place all sizes and colors. The staff also equally as plentiful and knowledgeable. As an avid gardener the selection of each plant was joyous to see. This will be my go to place for new plants. read more

Stay away from Lowe's if you're planning any home improvement projects. They will consistently string you along, make false promises, and drop the ball. We have them doing a new door install and flooring install and between them and their installers; the only thing they're delivering is disappointment. You would be better off finding someone on Craigslist to complete your jobs than attempting to have Lowe's do it. I can also tell you that the "management" at this store is a joke, so don't even think they'll be there to help you either. read more

Commitment to customer service at front desk is poor. Bought a laundry tub faucet combo at the Mount Dora store. Item was over rated at 4.4 stars, leaked all over the garage, damaged boxes etc in the garage. Faucet water line connectors were easily identified as the culprit. They were cheaply made and undersized. Asked for handyman install compensation not to mention damage to property and was denied by customer service representative. Asked to see the manager and that resulted in a phone call to Scott with no last name provided. Per Olivia in customer service it is a security issue to provide last names of employees now at Lowes. Wonder if they have been to Publix where they do customer service right, display managers names and photographs for customers. read more

This is a terrible example of a Lowe's location, and they deserve every low-star rating they get. The overall customer service and cashiers here are beyond bad. While the slow service you get here is primarily because the cashiers are all elderly and don't seem to know how to use their cash registers or process transactions; the bad service you get is from pure laziness. They are constantly finding excuses NOT to sell you things that are in the store and that you want to buy. Too many items are missing pricing labels and bar codes, and of course, it's your fault. If you make it clear that you want to buy it anyways, the response is pure shock and confusion as to how to move forward. This happens over and over, and I've been at the register ready to go and trying to checkout and ended up walking out of here not buying anything because the service is so poor, unhelpful, and lazy. Never again. This might be my first rant review ever, but I just can't support this business anymore. Home Depot is less convenient, but worth it to avoid the never ending bad experiences here. read more

Helped people that walked up, took phone calls, and basically did searches online for what I was wanting. Made no effort to find something that would work and the countertop? Unavailable. Faucet on display in store? Unavailable. Sink with configuration needed? Unavailable. Paid $120 for measurements and husband came in and requested refund from manager. James could have cared less and to basically turn the business away from a kitchen remodel? Pretty much sums up the whole experience. I like Lowe's because I am not a very knowledgeable do-it-yourself person and I lack the patience to look up product reviews on-line and watch a bunch of Youtube videos. I just want to go in and have a salesperson help me find whatever my dad needs to fix the problem or I want them to help me quickly find the part I need to fix whatever simple fix I can accomplish myself. Lowe's sales associates can simplify finding the correct product, and do it nicely so one doesn't feel like an idiot or a pain. Examples: Need a cabinet hinge and don't want to hunt endlessly through three-quarters of an aisle 's worth of options, just find a Lowe's sales associate an ask. (Yes, I can screw and unscrew the hinge). The expert in that area knows their stuff and will walk you directly to it. Need three master locks keyed to the same key so you don't have to keep up with three keys, the person at the lock smith counter has that covered too. Need a sink water filter and don't want to read all the boxes to find out if a particular filter flows at a normal rate or one cup every 90 seconds, ask a Lowe's expert. Bonus, they can help you find one within your skill level so no calling anyone to do it. Of course, Dad doesn't believe that so he helpfully volunteers anyway. If you have difficulty finding an associate, simply go to customer service and have them page the correct associate to your section. Lowe's cuts wood. However, did you know Lowe's will also cut the foam insulation board to size. Lowe's will even help you figure out how to minimize the number of sheets you need by planning the cuts. My Lowe's savings tips: Active and former military receive a 10% discount. Must have ID. Discounts aren't stackable. Check Lowe's online and app pricing. Lowe's will match in store so long as the item is in stock online. Check competitors pricing (printed ad or online). Lowe's will price match on the EXACT same brand/size etc. The price match will include any applicable shipping charges. Note: some brands are excluded. Clearance items and discontinuations are excluded. See the Lowe's website for full details. Lowe's offers free delivery on appliances costing more than $75 which of course major appliances do. Sometimes, conditions exist. For example, we had to purchase the dryer electrical cord from Lowe's for liability reasons to have Lowe's deliver and install. For a small fee, Lowe's took the old dryer away because it couldn't be donated. Lowe's customer service will contact other Lowe's stores if to see if they have an item such as clearance tile. Have Lowe's call to verify another Lowe's store's inventory and if possible, place it on hold before chasing after inventory that may not exist at distant stores. Lowe's has great after season sales if you are flexible on what you purchase and are willing to wait. For example, patio furniture goes on clearance after summer. read more

We're always in Lowe's. It's like a toy store for adults. But I wanted to let you know about my fantastic customer service experience from there. We're remodeling our bathroom and I found out the new bathtub we ordered was damaged. Now, I already had to borrow a vehicle to pick up the tub and bring it home so I was a little worried about having to borrow a vehicle possibly 2x more. I called the store over the weekend and the man I spoke with said he would talk to his manager about what could be done and get back to me. I thought it would be hours if not a day before I heard anything. Within 30 minutes I got a call back! He said they would order the replacement tub and deliver it when it came in and pick up the damaged one FOR FREE. However, we had to wait till Monday to order it because the vendor is closed on weekends. It doesn't end there. I called Monday afternoon to verify it was ordered (thinking someone was going to drop the ball or forget) and they DID order it! That is some fantastic customer service. I've never had a bad customer service experience there but this takes the cake as the best! read more

Purchased $20,000 worth of Jeld Wen Windows and doors. We got them at a good price and at the time lead time was only 3 weeks which was unusual in this market. Lowes was great to hold them for about 6 months while construction caught up. Unfortunately the manufacturer made a mistake on the order and shorted us 2 windows. We are waiting almost 4 months for the situation to be corrected. You would think that Jeld Wen and Lowe's would put more priority on fixing an error on their part. We have told these are being rushed, but don't see a real interest in expediting the windows for our home. We had to board up the missing windows so we can continue stucco and drywall work and will face more finishing costs as a result. read more

Just left here. Spent about 30 minutes walking around the store collecting item/sku numbers quantities etc for various projects I need to complete. In total, it was about $800 of items and far beyond anything I could transport myself. The pro desk informed me that only customer service can schedule a delivery. That makes sense I suppose. The customer service desk had 3 idle employees - it is hurricane tax holiday so they were well staffed today. They fell over themselves explaining how it wasn't their job to schedule a delivery. Pointing first to lawn and garden then to lumber. After a few minutes of this I decided they didn't want the business. Off to Home Depot I suppose. read more

This is absolutely the worst hardware store within 100 miles. My recent experience trying to warranty exchange a broken Craftsman (lifetime warranty) ratchet was horrific. After a 5 minute wait in line at customer service, I'm told to find a replacement on the shelf. I found the closest matching replacement. I wait another 5 mins in line and the service rep then tells me to wait while they take a look on the shelf (really now?) They stop back with a completely different size ratchet (1/4 not 3/8 like I had). I ask for the manager, he tells me take it or leave it, turns his back on me and walks away. Then turns around and says "good luck" in a snarky manner. Best if Lowes shut this store down. Just left this location feeling let down with little to no customer service! I am so frustrated and mad I could spit nails!!! Spent over 30 - 45 minutes for a price check on a chain link fence I wanted to purchase that had NO serial or price tag on it. The employee at the register, a stand by person and a manager just kept trying to look up the item via the store computer and their smartphones only to find that the item I wanted to purchase WAS NOT listed anywhere. No one offered to go back to the area (home and gardens) so I went back and took a picture of what I thought was the correct price AND the price I would be willing to pay. Finally the standing around employee went back and after a few minutes later told me I would have to pay $200!! I left all of the items I needed to purchase behind with no apologies from the Lowe's employees! This location is filled with people who do not care about the customer. ( also await my white special order metal roofing screws which was to be mailed to me from the factory supplier they arrived 24th and at the store and I never got a call or e mail. I have had zero bad experience in store Last visit was the most delightful everyone was smiling and happy and fast to help. I used plumbing tools returns and credit card discounts . Totally delightful experience I understand they have a new store manager. Today I was to get this AM the screws and the washer rescheduled from Friday till this AM nope 11 to 3 I have rope to hold them hostage till I get my metal roofing screws no indication on their computer the screws are on board. : ) read more

There is a time and a place for dogs and Lowes is NOT it. Lowes had better have excellent liability insurance since they don't have the decency to tell customers who bring their dogs (not service dogs, just pets) to keep them outside . Today while shopping I came out of an aisle and as I did so, an inconsiderate woman was walking by with a pit bull on a leash. (Imagine, a pit bull. Now there's a laid back, gentle animal!) My walking out must have surprised the dog and he lunged at me. She pulled the dog back and walked on. It upset me enough that I left the cart with about $130 worth of merchandise in it and left. On the way out, I noticed the woman at the nuts and bolts section, probably going to buy 3 dollars worth of screws. You know, self-serving, inconsiderate people like this will ruin everything if you let them, and Lowes had better know that I would sue them into next year if that dog had connected with me. Letting people just drag any pet in that suits them is dangerous , inconsiderate and irresponsible management. I doubt that people coming in to shop are expecting to be at risk from some ridiculous irresponsible person's dog. This country is FULL of personal injury attorneys. I don't think I'll go back. Wow , what a disaster this Mt Dora Lowes is . I usually visit the Lowes in Indian Harbor Beach which is well run so I have a point of reference here. I have never seen a more poorly run big box store in my life. In fact , good luck trying to check out at this place since its verges on a hostage like situation . I suspect the place is in desperate need for new management . On a Sat this place does not even open half the checkout lines even when the lines are 12-15 people deep. Its a mess like I-4 construction. The Lowes awful check lines are so bad that a total stranger shared her Mt Dora Lowes check out line nightmare at another store when she overhead our conversation . I spoke to five different staff at this Lowe's and every single one of them had no personality and weren't very helpful at all. I ended up just grabbing what I thought was the right items. Because the staff was no help at all, I grabbed the wrong thing, so now I have to go back and return it. I'm actually a fan of coming to this Lowes. I usually find that they are very helpful and it has been rare that I have had to wait to find someone to help me. Overall, very knowledgeable. I have had to come there about 6 times recently for paint, great job on your paint department for getting me exactly what I needed, making some good suggestions and matching up the paint perfectly. If you want to see people who hate having to do their jobs just visit mt dora Lowe's. Especially their customer service, they might be worse than Comcast. I purchased and had Lowes install Pella Windows in my house. They did a terrible job and would not correct the problems. A year later the job is still not done. Lowes contracts say satisfaction guaranteed, But you can not sue them, hidden clause allows only for arbitration. Based on this experience I can not recommend Lowes or Pella. read more
