Lowe's on Ocean Beach Hwy is our go-to store for most all our hardware and planting needs. Today we visited to replace our dishwasher and range. We were assisted by Destiny and she was more than helpful! My husband and I couldn't decide between two ranges. Destiny with her knowledge, was able to share the strengths relating to each of them. We felt informed and purchased what we needed. Lowe's prices are comparable to other appliance dealers. I would highly recommend not coming to this store unless you're a very, **very**--patient person. Had an interview at the time of 5:30 PM sharp, was told to come early, dress accordingly and act on my best behavior. I came at the time of 5:10-5:15, and sat there till 6:35 before just leaving. I'm sure the people there are lovely people and were genuinely trying their best to get me to my interview, but I never got it and I am not sitting inside the store for another 30-ish minutes for an interview that'd last less than 10. Do not apply here because they clearly do not value a potential employee more than they value sitting on their a** doing nothing. I had well over 5 employees come up to me and say "they'll be here to do your interview soon", and I tried being kind and giving them the benefit of the doubt. But it was 6 PM, at a retail store and I counted less than 5 customers coming to the registers every 20 minutes. What a joke. Whoever the hiring manager is, I'm sorry but you should really value your potential employees time, because if I'M TOLD to be there at a set time, you should ALSO be there at that same set time. read more

If you're a contractor, I would not use this store. I ordered materials to reroof a house, and everything was in stock. I scheduled a delivery date and lined up a crew to replace the roof a couple of days after the delivery. The night before delivery, I got a call saying their delivery truck was broken down and it would be delivered the following week. I rescheduled the crew. The afternoon before that new delivery, I received a text saying it was pushed out almost two more weeks. At that point, I called to pick up the materials myself and was told I could, but they couldn't remove the delivery charge. I am absolutely dumbfounded by the lack of customer service and the inability to make the situation right. It shouldn't take over three weeks to receive an order that was in stock. read more

Longview Lowe's -- how do you justify handing out Black Friday bucket tickets over two hours before opening and letting people walk off with them? That completely defeats the purpose of a "first 50 customers in line" promotion. People who actually showed up early and waited got punished, while others simply stopped in, grabbed a ticket, and left. If showing up long before opening is all it takes, then what -- should we arrive at midnight next year just to compete? Where is the cut-off? No one was told. No one was informed. It was unfair, poorly communicated, and blatantly mismanaged. This promotion wasn't about the first 50 in line -- it was about whoever happened to catch the staff handing out tickets at the right moment. I got showroom carpet installed a little over a year ago with a 5 year warranty. The guy that did it was outside complaining about the size of my house. We're like unprofessional but whatever. He finishes up and leaves the house. He told me he would meet me there so I can look but he left early. I came in my house and I had a few seams and a huge hole around a corner in a bedroom. I called Lowe's and they insisted on the same guy to fix his mistakes. I wanted someone else but they said it's their policy. The guy comes and fixes that. I'm looking at the carpet and it doesn't look like it was installed very good then I looked at the stairs and there is clear strings hanging everywhere. I call Lowe's back up and I asked to get it fixed. She said she would get back to me. She never did. Fast forward to now. I was noticing my living room carpet coming up and string were he cut the carpet. I had to work so asked my husband to talk to Lowe's about it so he went over there and told them and they said they couldn't fix it because it was out of warranty. But when I purchased the carpet I was told I had a 5 year warranty. I bought showroom floor carpet and spent a lot of money on it and they can't even fix their own mistakes all I asked for is to get it fixed. NEVER BUY FROM THEM!!! THEY WILL SCREW YOU OVER!!! Horrible customer service and every time I go in something goes wrong. Right now I ordered something they said I could pick up the following week. When I went in for something else I checked. Do not make major purchases from Lowes. The managers will ghost you. I purchased a very expensive front door from Lowes that came defective. The managers do not return or take your calls, and the store policy is to ignore their customers, they will make sure to stall communication until your purchase is out of warranty. Their customer service is non existent. One store associate could not even give me the names of managers to contact. I was dealing with the Longview WA store, but their corporate is just as bad if not worse. read more

My elderly parents have had nothing but bad luck with Lowes. Their installers are incompetent and do shady work. Most recently, they ordered a new oven only to be told they couldn't deliver it as scheduled because of a computer glitch, but would attempt to the following day. They saw our driveway and decided not to even bother attempting to deliver. It's Christmas Eve and we have no oven. I'm hoping this is the final straw for my parents because we are all angry. Horrendous delivery service. I am currently on my fourth try. I am driving an hour to help my parents get appliances delivered. First try, the dryer didn't make it onto the truck. The other appliances did, but the delivery people damaged the doorway of the house and left greasy fingerprints everywhere. Second try, they arrived an hour before the delivery window and refused to wait or stop back by during the delivery window. Third try, I waited 5 hours (I arrived an hour early in case they came early again), then called. Turns out, the dryer never made it onto the truck. And they failed to inform me. DO NOT purchase appliances at this store. Horrible customer service...actually it's nonexistent. Purchased a Bosch dishwasher here. It worked for 12 days and flashed an E-31 code. Talked to 3 managers, including the store manager, and because we didn't sign up for the Lowe's credit card they couldn't take it back and replace with a new unit. Instead we spent 3 hours on the phone and spoke to 9 different individuals at Bosch of which no one could help. The only thing they would do is send out a repair company. Coles only services our area once a month. After a month with a new dishwasher that doesn't work Coles came out and it was determined it was a manufacturer defect and another part had to be ordered. They then said it would be another 2 weeks before they could return. So, it's been a month and a half of hand washing because our new dishwasher is broken. Lesson learned here is shop elsewhere like Standard TV and Appliance. A bit of a drive but worth paying no tax and being treated like a human. Thanks but no thanks Lowe's. I come to this location all the time to get appliances and they are usually pretty good about having stuff in stock. What they are not good at is having the appliance dept staffed. I have to call customer service from inside the store frequently because I can never seem to find anyone to help me. It didn't bother me enough to write a review but today I've had enough. I only came in to get a copy of a receipt and the gal at the customer service desk couldn't do it. Something so basic and only the manager knows how to do it. They push you off to deal with Samsung or whoever and going on six weeks now they are finally going to "process" my refund for a washer that broke after 30 days. I bought a dishwasher from Lowe's and they use CRST Home solutions for their installers. WARNING Do Not use CRST for your installers. BBB list them as 1 out of 5, and they have multiple complaints. Installer showed up and refused job because he couldn't get old dishwasher out, found my own installer and we got old dishwasher out and installed new one after 2 months fighting with them. I had a second appointment with CRST with a text message confirmation, and when I called for time they were going to show up, they didn't have the appointment and refused to send anyone out. This has been a nightmare for 2 months now. And Store manager is an idiot, she thinks that CRST only does their dishwasher installs. CRST does most of Lowe's appliances installs. We ordered a new washer and dryer and when they arrived the washer was damaged. They took it back and supposedly ordered us another one. We have called them multiple times to get the new washer, so they made an appointment to deliver the new washer. Unfortunately when they showed up the were here to take our old washer and not to deliver our new washer. We called the manager to get this straightened out, now we are waiting another 10 days for our washer as it was never ordered. We will not be buying appliances at Lowes again. read more

We've been told by friends to take our issue with Lowes not honoring its appliance extended warranty to small claims court--how to we do this? We purchased the "7.4 cu. ft. Electric Dryer in Black Stainless Steel" with 3yr extended warranty 4/13/2019 from Lowes in Longview, WA, and it was delivered within the week. We still have the receipt and all documentation. ~2.5 weeks ago, the dryer wouldn't turn on; no issue with outlet, breaker, or plug, confirmed by going thru the manufacturer's help line. Within 24hrs, we had an electrician look at it: the issue was Lowe's delivery people failed to properly tighten one of the 3 wire terminals attaching the power cord to the dryer, resulting in burning that melted the terminal and the cord--and that we were very lucky it didn't start a fire. The next day (a Friday) we called Lowes, and the lady we spoke to was horrified. She said she got a work order signed by a manger and to expect a call from the service guy either later that day or Monday. When we had received no call by Tuesday, we called to see what was up Wednesday to discover the work order had disappeared and no one could find records of our purchase. At this point we were talking to a different lady and we had to email a copy of the receipt to prove we had in fact purchased the dryer there. We also sent a picture of the damage. She said she'd try to figure out why she couldn't find the records and get back to us. We had to call again Monday because, again, we'd had no news. She said she needed to pass it up the line and that her boss, Christine, wouldn't be in until Tuesday--but that we'd definitely get a call Tuesday. After no call either Tuesday or Wednesday, we called Thursday. It was "delivery" not an "install" so it was filed differently--but she found that there was a 3yr extended warranty purchased that would cover the damage, so we were sent to call the Lowes warranty dept. Calling the warranty dept, we were informed that since the damage was done during delivery (and the delivery warranty is only 1yr) the 3yr extended warranty does *not* cover it and we are liable for any repair costs out of pocket. They forwarded us to the contracted local service company who quoted us a minimum of $400 for repairs. The original purchase price for the dryer was $770 before taxes, cord, delivery, and 3yr extended warranty. The current price of that dryer is $1035 (again, not including set-up items, delivery, or taxes). We have also lost 8-10hrs of work over dealing with repeated phone calls and correspondence. read more

I would have given 5 stars for the customer service process in choosing a new toilet and getting install set up, however when I came to actually pick up my toilet and supplies for install the day before as directed I had to wait almost an hour just to get the thing! It was recommended to do this to save the cost of the installer picking up the product. I'll never do it again. I'm so irritated after the experience I'm not sure I'll even return to Lowe's again for anything I can't take out of the store same day myself. Very poor experience. Visited the Longview store today and will not return. I'll visit or shop on line with other companies 1 - The store walking routs were very disturbing drastically reducing separation options. The wide roomy store front and middle aisles running from side to side (east to west) in the store were blocked off at two locations to allow more people separation according to the store manager. Walking the store from side to side (west to east) I and all others were forced to zig-zag using the product shelf aisles.The actual fact was that upon entering the product shelf aisle I was forced to actually brush against other people walking the same aisle in opposite direction or people shopping for an item displayed in the aisle. 2 - I was also yelled at by a cash register employee for staring at him which dumbfounded me. When I asked to see a store manager he simply left. When I asked for his name he threw his hands up and told me loudly to get back and stop bothering him. Very strange and embarrassing. I searched out the store manager and showed him the reality of the customer routing to which he put the blame on upper management. I also told him about his very strange and insulting employee. I also noted that even though there were 6 ft spacing marking on the floor I observed very few employees practicing it and very few employees with face masks on. It will be a long time till I re-enter that store and will recommend to all my friends to stay out of the place. read more

I would always recommend Lowes to people up until today. I shop at Lowes commonly. I buy 100% of my outdoor and hardware purchases at Lowes. I have a Lowes credit card when I buy appliances. The people at Lowes have ALWAYS been fantastic...until today. I usually go through self-check out, and commonly see Kay running things. She has always been friendly, welcoming, and on top of things if something goes wrong. Today as I was checking out, I had the unpleasant experience of meeting Tyson for the first time. As Kay was checking me out at her kiosk (3 out of the 4 units were down), Tyson decided right then and there would be a good time to start snapping at her and mocking her, standing literally 1 foot away from me. He kept going on and on about who told her to do this, and why would she do that, talking down to her as if she was completely stupid. It made me VERY uncomfortable standing next to someone doing this to an employee with a bunch of other people around. I even said something, he looked at me, said I was wrong, he wasn't doing anything of the sort, then went right back to snapping with a raised voice at her. He finally left, and I told Kay I was sorry she had to put up with someone like him, especially since she has always been wonderful every time I've come into Lowes. Tyson is a very unprofessional and angry person, almost downright abusive from the interaction I witnessed. If this is how Lowes is going to be treating their employees, I don't think I could EVER come back. I'm no fan of Home Depot, but my gosh, if they treat their employees even with some shred of professionalism, I might have to start going there and cut up my Lowes card. I've heard that the most powerful person in a workplace can be those who are the most negative, and will bring everyone else down with them. I strongly encourage you to deal with someone as toxic as Tyson is before he poisons your entire store. read more

I have never seen a company that lets their contracted installers dictate how their business is run. Let me explain, Lowes flooring department has a sign the reads "Free removal and haul away" but after the installer rep comes out and measures the room for installation and makes up the installation diagram, he then put in the contract that due to pet stains the customer would have to remove the carpet and pad before installation can be done. Lowes free removal and haul away has no clues that says pet stains disqualifies the carpet from this agreement. So the carpet installer is telling Lowes how to run their business. BAD BUSINESS WILL NOT SHOP AT LOWES AGAIN. read more

This is standard big box store. It's amazing how you can go someplace to look at a specific item and are overwhelmed by choices. That is good though, right? Staff, when you can find them, are good help. Went in to find a new door knob and had to get help to find what I needed as there is an entire aisle of doorknobs! Can't get any worse customer service then the kitchen cabinet department! Living in this area there isn't too many choices to choose from for custom cabinetry so we go into Lowe's 2 weeks ago and hand them a blue print of our kitchen with the measurements, the girl says she will have them for me the next day. Next day comes nothing.....Friday comes around and a guy calls saying" I will get those estimates to you by Tuesday". Finally I call back that Friday and a girl says to me "oh I'm sorry no one has wrote up your estimate, did you turn in your measurements?, I said yes, over a week ago and she. proceeds to tell me she will take down my info and have them for me that day(Friday). Well, 4 days have passed and it is now Tuesday so I call and speak with someone who isn't from the kitchen department and he said no one is in yet, lol. What a joke. Worse service I have ever received. I will not be getting my cabinets with them, but will continue forward with my estimates due to the principal of things now. Soooo, talked with a manager(jarret, Jarrod, or Jarrod, idk) said he would speak with them and have them get back to me, the girl never did I had to calm her back! Compared to HD in Warrenton, I'll take Lowes hands down. I wanted 8x8 concrete blocks, Lowes had it. I needed concrete end caps, Lowes had it. I didn't have to order and wait a week for anything! I even had people ask to help me while I was waiting for my truck to be loaded... Unbelievable! I didn't see workers ignoring customers while talking among themselves.
