Being an Atlantan I was a Home Depot truther until we moved to Red Bank. After shopping at Lowes out of conscience I'm fully flipped to a Lowe's man. Most of the staff is friendly & helpful and they do well keeping things stocked up. The one complaint I have is it's far past time to upgrade/fix their carts, but I'm sure that's due to people overloading with heavy stuff. read more

What was I thinking??? I placed a $1000 order at this store. Was given a date it would arrive. I scheduled my contractor to do the work. I received a text a few days before saying I would receive a text with a 4 hour window the night before delivery. Sounded really good. Night before no message. Day of delivery I called store. Was told order was changed to North Augusta. Ok no biggie. I call them was assured it would be on the afternoon truck. Ok great news. I checked back at 6pm. Nobody could tell me anything. Finally about 8pm I checked again. Now it says delayed. I call again nobody has any idea WHEN delivery will be now. Needless to say, in the future unless absolutely no other choice Home Depot will get me business. read more

I have been going here for years. Unfortunately, the customer service and inventory issues are constant. There is hardly anyone in the store to help you. Those that are never ask if you need help. I always walk to the front of the store and they have to page someone. When they do come, most have no answers. I asked one employee if they still price match Home Depot and he said "I don't know man. I just work here." Really?! I asked another and he didn't know either. I had to go to the return center to find my answer. On my last visit, I asked for help with an item because the shelf was empty. On the website it said in stock. The store system said they had 27. The manager told me she sent everyone home 15 minutes before close and there was not anyone who could help me. I don't understand how a business can send everyone home before closing. There should be at least 1 person who can help customers. I will say though I've had a pleasant experience with the employee who works the return counter. It seems that's where you need to go for answers. Unfortunately, this is not one of my favorite locations. read more

I love this place. They have such friendly workers who are more then glad to help me find what I need to make my house and yard look amazing. I love their flower section and they have such beautiful patio furniture and solar lights. Thanks for being so close to my home so I can blow all my money with you guys. read more

False advertising! Had a grill marked on clearance for $32 however at register it rang out for $149 and I showed the associate the picture that I have included here she agreed it was the same grill and changed the price however she needed a managers approval. Manager arrives and tries to tell me that's not the right grill and the best she can do is $70. Every number on box matched every number on register which matched every number on clearance sticker and she tries to tell me there are not the same and would not honor it. I have included both pictures the clearance sticker and the register while trying to check out at Lowe's. Worst customer experience and not just this one time. I live less than a mile away but will be driving to Lexington from here on out to Home Depot read more

Update, after going to the store I found out that the delivery was going to be a day late, but one managers was able to get my stuff on a truck for the correct delivery date......there's just one problem. They sent the wrong refrigerator and it will take another week to get it. They did however give me a loaner. This is my first and last time buying appliances from Lowes. There are only a handful of manufacturers that make all the appliances these days. So the only thing that's important to me as far a the retailer is concerned is: Delivery, installation, and customer service. Sears IS still in the appliance business! read more

I have become accustomed to only come on here when I know exactly what I am looking for! Customer service left this location a while back! Seem to remember that they carried 14 foot wide flooring in the past (Linoleum). Not any more apparently. So I stood around the flooring desk and press the "customer need assistance button ". One employee actually walked by and noticed me but not even "we will get someone here shortly " was offered, just a look and keep walking ! I guess I will continue to not going in when I need assistance! Sad what companies are doing to people today! But let's blame it on "no one wants to work"!! read more

Auto service is the worst. Bought a tire in the rain and tire was no good. They said you supposed to check it in the rain before leaving the store so it's your now. So 100.00 down the drain. I bought, and paid cash for a new refrigerator. I was told that they would haul away my old fridge for a $50 fee. Fine. Two weeks later and I'm STILL fighting to get the old fridge picked up. The drivers have told dispatch that there was no fridge to pick up when it's sitting in my yard. I understand that Lowes uses a third party company to handle the delivers and pick ups but even Lowes itself overs no remedy to this issue. The store is great, the delivery company sucks but Lowes continues to use them. Unacceptable! read more

Drove an hour to get to this location. Online said in stock for our flooring. But we aren't stupid, so we called ahead of time to be reassured what we were needing was in stock. Arrived to the store, Entire flooring aisle had boxes in wrong places, and completely disorganized. Asked an associate for help, he was ready to deny help the second I said it was the wrong boxes placed in the designated spot. He called another team member over, and they both confirmed on their handheld systems that there was 251 boxes of our flooring in stock, yet no one could find. We asked to speak to a manager to see if they could give us the same price on the next comparable product in stock, especially since we had already called prior too and was reassured via phone that our product would be here. We waited 15 mins, no manager ever showed up. Circled back with our floor associate and asked if they'd been able to get ahold of a manager yet, and he said, "I called on the intercom" (which he did, we heard him). After 30 mins standing around we are headed to Home Depot. Ridiculous. read more

I bought almost $5700 worth of appliances from Lowe's and my experience so far sux. I got a washer and dryer combo for $1200 on the 27th of November and still waiting on the dryer on the 21st of December. Now, they say the pedestal is on backorder but the dryer is here. Then I was never told that I need to buy a washer install kit, a dryer install kit, and a dishwasher install kit! The installer came to my house on the 21st for the dishwasher and told me he could not install it because I have PEX tubing and he couldn't install it because I have to adapt to a 3/4" line and I would have to get an outside plumber to install it! WTF! Really! I could have installed it three weeks ago if I would have known this! Home Depot or Economy Furniture would have done a better job! It is rare for me to give 5 stars to any merchant. This is my favorite Lowes location and I think they are lucky to be where they are on Platt Springs Road adjacent to the Wal Mart. I've always secretly wished that I could walk from this Lowes to the Walmart, but that's a little too risky considering the traffic. 15 mph in Lexington county really means go as fast as you can without getting caught by the police. The Wal Mart is only about 100 feet from the Lowes yet they separated by a giant 50 foot wall of dirt, so I would have to venture out into traffic to loop around to the Walmart. The other Lowes locations on Augusta Road and Sunset Boulevard can't help that they are located where they are but I avoid them because they tend to be too crowded and in higher traffic areas. I actually live closer to the West Columbia Lowes but after a visit there I feel like I visited a store up North where it is really cold if you know what I mean. So I alway travel the extra few miles to the Lowes on Platt Springs road. This Lowes has its "ups" and "downs" like any other place. People (staff) have bad days and I can allow for that. At any rate, I feel appreciated here and that pretty much says it all. I can take a cashier having a rough day or I can take it that the saw is out of order or that some sales clerk has left me hanging. Yes all that has happened to me at this Lowes but I love this store for how I feel after shopping there. Typically, if the website states that they have one of an item, that tends to be pretty much accurate. read more

Lack customer service and problem solving skills for the customer. I drove to the Lexington Lowe's and within minutes I had what I needed!

My experience is so bad I won't buy anything else there. Sales people don't know their sections, my fireplace was delivered damaged.
