My family had an impulsive idea to create privacy screen this weekend. With a Mock image in mind we placed an online order to get majority of the material from Lowe's. 1st off - the order split between two store which was annoying. Both Stores picked the order at different times. 2nd - the associate brought a defective product to the car. 3rd - the associate reminded me that the information I received from an automated queue is incorrect, so I was mislead. Overall, they had majority of the products for a privacy screen: planters, quick segment, wood post, lattice, and greenery which I was able to price down to less than $150 which was a satisfying price. However, the employees knowledge and awareness is lacking big time and could have turned me away. read more

DO NOT have Lowes install your composite decking. I paid over 15K for Trex decking and was told by the Lowes salesperson it will last a lot longer than wood. I purchased the decking from Lowes and had them install it was well. It has only been 6 years and the whole large deck looks like a shuffled deck on cards; it has popped up everywhere. It is almost impossible to walk on and not trip, plus it looks terrible and the whole thing needs to be pulled up and reinstalled correctly. I had a professional come out and look at it and they said it was installed way to close together and expanded. I called Lowes and they told me Lowes decking installation only has 1 year warranty, so I guess I am screwed, BADLY. It was a huge purchase I paid on for 5 years with interest on my Lowes credit card and have an ugly mess on my hands that Lowes takes zero accountability for. read more

DO NOT buy your appliances here. Lowe's will SCAM you. Bought a dishwasher. Delivered damaged two times. Numerous calls later. Even have an email that a refund was issued. Refund was never issued, and LOWES is now lying and making up stories saying item not reported in time well if it wasn't reported in time then why do I have correspondence saying they will resolve and issue a refund? I just had the best experience at Lowe's on Phillips Hwy in Jacksonville. I went to get a few pieces of 2x8's and thinking, if they could cut it for me, it would be great (save me the time for pulling out my tools). One of the managers, I didn't get her name but she was great. she didn't work in that department but she saw they wete slammed, so she was directing traffic and letting people know who would be helping them (she let them know how many people were ahead of them, etc). She told me they certainly could cut the wood for me (again, they were slammed). Nate came over, loaded the wood onto my cart and cut them for me. We purchased a toilet with installation. Lowe's has contracted installation to Angi. It is a disaster. They cannot keep appointments, have horrible communication and the folks who answer their phones in Manila have no ability to assist. We cancelled our purchase and will buy from Home Depot which still manages installationx through local tradesmen. Home Depot is building a new store near us. I went in to buy a new washer and dryer. I knew the ones I wanted, with the bases. When I got there nobody was in the appliance area. I waited 5 mins or so, someone must have seen me waiting because I heard the overhead announcement about a customer waiting. In mid-June of this year, I went to the Lowe's store No. 1694 on Lenox Ave. in Jacksonville to get a quote for a fence around my property. They came out and quoted $11,600.00 for the job. I accepted the quote, and received a contract which stated that Seacoast Fence would be installing the fence. Upon the arrival for the job, I later learned that it was being installed by Amazing 8 Fence Co. The installation was terrible, and six days after the installation three of the panels fell over. They came out and fixed that problem, but, four days later all of the slats out of another panel fell out. When they came out to fix that they noticed a 3" black mark on one of the fence posts that was caused by our lawn mower. They then proceeded to report the mark to Lowes, and I was notified that the fence was no longer covered by their warranty, because of the black mark on one fence post. I subsequently requested that Lowe's send a representative out to inspect the inferior quality of the installation, and the insignificant black mark, but after weeks and weeks of pleading they never sent anyone out. I therefore, put in a dispute on my credit card and after weeks of sending photos and documents I was given a $3,600.00 credit on my card. I will still have to pay to correct the poor installation job of the fence, but just the victory is worth it. read more

So, I found the one that matched my new tile. Steve the salesperson in Plumbing was very helpful & patient. Though he said he's new he was quite knowledgeable. I was able to purchase the vanity & all my fixtures at this stop. Well today I felt like dusting off my "handy-wo-man" skills by purchasing and assembling two shelves for extra storage space. Knowing that Lowe's would have exactly what I was looking for... that is where I ventured off towards to shop for the items I needed. Didn't think I would need help picking out two shelves until I realized the measurements I needed wasn't quite matching up to the shelves they sold, in store. Therefore, I figured let me find someone to assist me on finding the right shelves... with all of the employees I've noticed on my way to the shelving and storage bins aisle. I wasn't expecting it to take 20 minutes to find someone to answer a few questions for me. Rogerio, the first sales associate I spotted didn't give me a chance to explain what I need help with. He shooed me off to a customer service desk that was empty. Once he noticed no one was there, he cane over to page someone then started helping another guest with an online order - leaving me there wondering if I would ever get any help. Finally, I spoke up and asked if there was someone coming to assist me. He rudely responded, "I am trying to page someone to come help you." Still no one showed up. A few minutes passed by, another sales associate passed by but, was obviously on a mission for something/someone else. After Rogerio wrapped up the online order with a customer who sought his help after I did - he walked away. I noticed Anthony, another sales associate, heading in my direction (but, of course not to help me); yet, I stopped him to see if he could help me. He, also, paged for someone to come help me. He was much more efficient and appeared to have a nicer attitude and informed me that he paged someone to come to the aisle that I needed help in. Feeling much more relieved, I went back to the aisle. A few minutes later... guess who shows up - Rogerio. I just don't understand the hassle one must go through just to get assistance at Lowe's. read more

At this location, it's been kind of hit and miss. I usually go in, find the items I need, and leave. I had this on my list to review because I had a great customer service experience and wanted to write about it but that was promptly yeeted into an abyss. I do want to say that I purchased a fridge from Hunter. He was very nice and rang up my order quickly. He was the only employee near the appliances and there was a group of people around him asking questions/trying to buy things and he was going as fast as he could. He called for other associates twice and no one responded. That being said - he was great. I had paid for my fridge along with a haul away. My move-in day (May 7th) came and I am on the 2nd floor (No elevator) which I did tell Hunter in the store and he put that in the notes. The Lowe's truck pulls up with 1 guy. 1 guy bringing and setting up a fridge then taking the other away? It seemed weird and not really safe to me. He moved my old fridge into my entry way (and keep in mind that my place is 725 sq ft.) then he took all of the plastic and foam off my fridge and had it outside in my walkway which is all normal. He did bring it in, but what I didn't know is that he plugged it in with everything inside of it - tape/stickers/tags and then he got on his phone and went outside. He came back in and said "I can't haul away your fridge. There isn't space in my truck." and I said "I don't understand. I did pay for it to be hauled away today and today is my only day off other than tomorrow which is why I scheduled today." and he said "I have to make a call - we can get it tomorrow, be right back.". I was still moving other things in and out of my house. I heard yelling and someone was yelling at him over the phone. I walked over and he whispered "it's okay, it's okay. be right there.". So, I left to grab more boxes. I heard his truck start up a few minutes later and I thought maybe he was moving it, but he just left. Like, straight up left. No words, no bye. I hadn't even tipped him yet. I quickly called Lowe's because I was confused and they directed me to XDT (their delivery people) and one of them told me that the delivery person had to leave and to reschedule my pick up. I was still confused. I didn't sign for the fridge, he left his gloves, there was trash in the walkway, and when I went to go check the new fridge - The tape had frozen to the inside because he had plugged it in and all the settings were to the far right. There was also some separation on the door. I called Lowe's again to tell them what happened and they said they would take 10% off and give as a refund. I had not asked for one, but it was appreciated. I was still left with an extra fridge, trash, and a fridge that I can't get the "blue" tinting out of. It took an entire week of rescheduling and them not listening to my work schedule - to get my fridge hauled away this last Saturday (May 14th). They kept asking me to take off work and I am unable to do that right now. I'm just irritated because I bought a new fridge and was so excited for it and then it was an entire situation that didn't need to be. read more

This Lowes location has the absolute worst customer service of any location, whether you are returning/exchanging an item or actually need help in the aisles. It's ridiculous to wait more than 5 min for someone to actually acknowledge you much less help you at the customer service counter when you're the only person standing there and a half dozen employees are trying their best to avoid eye contact with you. Yet I experience this every time I have a quick return. There's always 1 person behind the counter helping with a complicated order and no one else there apparently is capable. Customers should not have to wait for someone to return from break due to management's failure to hire or cross-train employees to fill in when necessary. Since this is my experience year after year whether I'm waiting at customer service or have questions in the aisles I assume management/corporate doesn't care. read more

At the register the cashier was friendly but she called back to the dept because the item number was needed. The cashier walked the item back (the runner was originally 9ft I need 4ft). I didn't ask him to resolve global warming but to assist me in getting a match from the Valspar section. I'm torn between Lowe's and their giant competitor. I live next door to the big orange store but Lowe's gives me 5% off everyday plus an additional 5% for being a veteran. That being said, Lowe's service and people leave a lot to be desired. On my most recent visit I was returning stuff that I learned wouldn't work as intended which was a 180 change from the day we bought the materials. We told the girl in flooring what we were doing and she happily sold us the product. 2 months later when our contractor was ready to install, we went to get the needed glue to complete the install and was rudely told that couldn't be done and if you just want glue go to aisle 2. Her attitude sucks. I returned the entire order the following day (over $1k) and the returns girl was not properly trained and therefore took over 20-25 minutes to complete what should've been done in 5 minutes. After all I had my receipt and it was on a Lowe's charge. How hard could it possibly be, right? I'll keep my account open for large purchases but will use the more convenient HD option for my everyday needs. read more

I went straight to hardware and asked an older gentlemen worker for help to locate them and he sent me to the cabinet area near tile. As I was walking there I saw two workers in the DIY closet area. I love Lowes for their garden section. This is my go to for plants! I can always find healthy herbs and great flowers to spruce up my balcony here! Not to mention the garden center staff is very nice and helpful! Terrible. I'd not buy any appliances that require home delivery. We bought a Webber grill in store and had it set up for home delivery. Two weeks later we got a phone call saying it will be delivered the next day but nothing came. 4 weeks later I stopped in the store to check and was told it's scheduled for delivery from 8-12 the next day. Nothing came again. I called the store and was transferred 3 times before was hung up on. I called back was told that it wasn't delivered because "customer cancelled" which is totally fabricated. I asked to speak to a store manager and was given a run around again and was told that someone from delivery will call. I'm still waiting for that phone call. i was trying to exchange a merchandise and I stood in line for 6 minute s before someone actually acknowledged me standing there while they were having a conversation amongs coworkers. someone finally acknowledged me and I repeated 3 times I needed to exchange and he did what ever he wanted and refunded the merchandise. I asked him why he refunded when I asked to exchange and he stated "lots of noise in the backgroun.
