I went into Lowe's today to buy a lawnmower. when I went to the lawnmower department, there was a very nice gentleman. His name was Chang. He not only helped me to pick a lawnmower, but he also helped educated me on all the options of the different . When I asked about putting it together He opened the box. Let me look at it and then we talked about the different functionalities of the lawnmower that I purchased. This is the best customer service I've ever received in Lowe's. E put it on a cart for me went to the front help me to check out. my check out person her name was Rose or Rosario very nice lady and I got the 12 month no finance for my purchase of my lawnmower and it was on special and I got $100 off . Then Chang went to my car with me and helped me to load it into my Kia Sorrento SUV. He was very very nice. This is why I only shop at Lowe's and I've never go into Home Depot because Lowe's is very customer service oriented and they go out of the way to help you not only pick a product but give you all the information about that product and then may check out very nice and easy Thank you Lowe's for a five star shopping experience. read more

Disappointing customer service experience. I ordered a washer from lowes.com to be picked up at the store. I received a text that the washer was ready, so I went to the store to pick it up. When I pulled up the link that was sent via text, it showed that the order was cancelled. I did not receive any notification that the order was cancelled at all. (problem 1) When I went inside, a customer service person helped me at the door, and was confused by this issue as well. A second person was called in, and that person figured out that there were two in stock, but they were both floor models. That person brought me back to take a look at the floor model, to see if I wanted to purchase it. I looked at it and said yes, I'll go ahead and buy the floor model. (I had rented a truck to make this pickup). This is when a young man stepped in, presumably from the appliance area. He walked up and said he can't sell me the floor model. (problem 2) I then tried to have them make these mistakes right by having the same washer delivered to my house, with the delivery fee waived due to the inconvenience. The young man said they cannot do that. They stated that they could have it delivered on Saturday, but there's nothing they can do about the delivery fee. They also stated that they could sell me the same washer for the same price, and have me come back Friday to pick it up. I chose, out of frustration, to just buy it again and come back to get it. (problem 3) I have taken time out of my work day, and rented a vehicle, and now have to extend my rental, and take more time, just to get my washer at the original purchase price. Unlike their competitors, at least Lowe's is honest about what they will and won't do for wood cutting on plywood. They will make one cut to help things fit in a car, but won't rip multiple cuts. Our 16 yr old dishwasher quit last week so we went to Lowe's to buy a new one. It was Saturday afternoon and the appliances department was very busy but only one person was working. Lots of customers waiting to buy. We wanted a Bosch but all of the display models on the floor were discontinued models plus Lowe's charges $233 for installation and $50 for haul away. Tired of waiting for assistance, we went home. I logged into Costco and found a good deal on a Bosch with free delivery and haul away. They are delivering this Friday. Went in to purchase a microwave to replace our over the range microwave. Looked at the website found what was in stock and selected one that the website said was in stock (3 available). Got to the store and asked a sales associate if they had it in stock. The sales associate said they don't stock it. I told him your website says you have them in stock. As a matter of fact on the website it allows me to add to cart for pick up today. The sales associate just got really rude and said go ahead and do it then. I was shocked at his response, and said let me speak tot the store manager. Then he told me he's in the store go find him yourself. On this past July 4th weekend I purchased a very high end Bosch dishwasher. Meanwhile I'm a senior citizen on a fixed income but I bought the brand dishwasher that was of the highest quality with the intent it be the last one I ever need. When I purchased it I was told that there was free installation but you had to pay $189 up front and then you'd receive a$189 rebate so that's what we did. It was to be a couple of weeks before the delivery and install was to take place. We fill out the paperwork for the rebate and got a message response that our purchase didn't qualify for the rebate. We make several calls to Lowe's and try to speak to someone about it but get transferred over and over because nobody knew how to deal with it. I finally decided to go to the store and speak to a manager personally. I met a young female manager (I don't remember her name) and she gave me the name of the department supervisor and we were assured that our problem would be resolved. They told us to resubmit the rebate request and everything should be ok so we went home and resubmitted. Guess what? Same result. At this point I returned to Lowe's and spoke to the young man that was my salesman. I asked him to please take ownership of this problem so that my frustrations would end. He proceeded to get on the phone with the company who did the rebates and spent nearly an hour with them. He finally got it approved and provided me with a confirmation number. Richard, the department supervisor, tried on numerous occasions to help my wife but was unsuccessful but I want to give a special shout out to Anthony Lackett. He decided that he wasn't going to stop until there was a resolution. But this is not the end of my nightmare. A gentleman came and installed the new dishwasher. A couple of days after we noticed water saturating our hallway carpet and on closer inspection saw that the lower part of the sheetrock was also saturated and some of the baseboard and caulk was showing signs of water. We pulled out the dishwasher and saw that the water line had just been finger tightened and not wrenched down thus was leaking pretty bad. I call Lowe's and here we go again playing pass the buck. Lowe's management and supervisors are some of the most apathetic people I have ever encountered. Their goals were, to the person, to pass me to someone else so it wasn't their problem. The one constant was that it was my problem. After many encounters and much chagrin I was finally referred to the insurance company who handles this for them. I start working with a lady and she quits the job and the ball was completely dropped again! After calling them they finally had a lady named Cheney Culverhouse help me. My thoughts about all of this is that I should have been able to make one phone call and had someone show up to access the damage and send someone to repair it. I've never had such a poor customer service experience from a company other than the people whose names I mentioned. I only wish that I had the foresight to have made notes of the names of all of the people who failed in their jobs. I just got everything resolved today (11/12) with the exception of the damage repair. That's another hassle to deal with repair people. I would have a hard time trusting Lowe's again. Went in today to return a bug zapper that did not work out for me. I made sure to save packaging and receipt. The returns associate told me that since it was over 30 days I could not return it. After asking if store credit was an option to upgrade and get the best bug zapper they have. I was refused. Disappointing, I actually worked with Joe McFarland the executive vice president of Lowe's who trained me and he would have blown a gasket to see how they treated me. I wouldn't bother him with my $69 dollar return. In this day and age it's important to "vote with your feet" and shop where your a person, not just a $. Convenient store to pick up the items you need for home projects. This place is my go to store. When I first started to come here, we were greeted by employees and offered help constantly while we were in the aisles. I've had some amazing advice when I replaced my shower head and other DIY stuff I thought I would never do since I'm not handy at all. Nowadays, you have to find an associate for help. Not sure if I come at the wrong time or not. A few months ago when we were having wood cut the gentleman was helpful and nice! This visit, I was looking at tile. I'm glad I stopped in since the image online definitely looked different than in person. The associate answered our questions about installation when we approached her. Exposed nails coming thru the carpet that Lowes installed in Dec 2023. They refused to repair, so I disputed the charge, it was approved to uninstall and refund but the third party installer refuses. I have tried upper management, and corporate to no avail. I am reporting to attorney general. Lowes uses 3rd party installer so you have no recourse on an improper installation. It's still the same big store.... it still has all of the home improvement stuff.... but it is not the crazy or hustle and bustle shopping experience of other home improvement locations. Lots of selection nice folks and a very clean location however the Lowe's in Hutto is more likely to have that "special" item that the others don't just because it just isn't as busy. Advantage the knowing shopper. That isn't a guarantee that if it's a mind blowing deal and you get up late (I.e. .50 cent poinsettias on Black Friday) that you can roll in hours after the sale starts and they will have them... no no no! The people of Hutto still appreciate a deal and they buy up stuff like that in seconds! However... it is a great spot to peruse the choice faster selling stock items... most times they'll have it. read more

Updated: LOWES SUCKS!!! I have camera video of the person who measured my door telling me the gap on the door would not be a problem. After many phone calls to support I get $100 compensation to use at Lowes (what a joke) or cash AND I have to drive to a Lowes to get it. I am so furious. Updated of another very bad installation experience with Lowes. I purchased a storm door for $750 to be installed for my front door on 11/12/22. Expensive since it has UV glass, brushed nickel hardware, and a sliding screen. Carrie at the store in Hutto assured me they use a very dependable 3rd party installer. WHEN am I going to learn?!!! Custom order so I waited a few weeks with no update. I called the store and was told to call another support number. I called and was told the Trinity contract installer has tried leaving me vm to schedule the measuring, but I never returned the call. Hmmmm, they called the wrong number which is interesting since the correct number was on my invoice, and Lowes has always had my one correct phone number. even Lowes informed me they have no idea how they got the wrong number as it is correct in their system. The person I was assured would come out was not him, but his wife and she guaranteed they would add an extender on the bottom of the door to make sure there was no gap. I shared what a neighbor went through, and she said 'no, that will not happen. An extender will fill the gap'. Trinity then contacted me to schedule the install. I re-arranged my day to accommodate their schedule only to be called to request a reschedule due to it being too cold. Okay. BUT, sorry it will have to wait until the new year since we are not working for 2 weeks. OMGosh. Today, 1/4/23, I am waiting for them and get a call the installer went to the wrong Lowes to pick-up the door and would be late. Thank you for taking up more of my time and my day. It was not the installer I was told it would be AND he showed me wait the wife put on the bottom of their paperwork (which I never received a copy) that I agreed to hire someone to take care of the gap under the door. Saying I was furious is an understatement. She very specifically assured me the gap would not be a problem. I called Carrie at Lowes door department who listened but then told me I needed to call installation support. I told her Lowes needs to make this right for an expensive door and all of the extreme frustration this has caused. She offered to call support for me. No call. Lowes you really are a horrible, horrible customer experience. Best customer service ever. I was desperate to get some help at a pharmacy early on Saturday morning. None were open at 7:00! I thought they would be but they weren't. On a wild idea, I thought to stop at Lowes. The first person I asked was just a wonderful person and I kick myself for not picking up her name. She was most pleasant, really a great employee with a wonderful personality. She took me right to what I needed - surprised they even had them! And then off I was in no time. This was what used to be GREAT about customer service in Retail. And Lowe's had it. Bought a washer and dryer on Thursday night after my washer died. We were promised delivery on Sunday 1/3/2021. Tonight when no one called to schedule a time for delivery we contacted the store to find that delivery was scheduled for December 3, 2021. And the store will not honor the delivery date promised. Absolutely no honor and no customer service. And the "manager"Fred is the epitome of non-customer service. Update 1/3/21: at 7:45 am we spoke to assistant manager Nacion. She was professional and helpful. In 15 minutes she had the appliances on the truck and out for delivery today. It's 09:55 and the washer and dryer are being installed. Don't deal with Fred. Our problematic LG washer finally died (on about the 6th failed component) and we had the lowes protection plan attached. Well - the repair guys they sent out took an electrical issue (bad main board) and suddenly we had a leak issue! Now the motor is gone. They sent us a money card to get the new washer but the card CAN ONLY BE USED AT LOWES!!. I went to the store and when I asked the appliance "specialist" which of the washers would fit atop of our existing mini-washer he told me to "call LG they can tell you - we dont have that information here"!!! What?!? I guess these guys DONT work on commission anymore and they sure as heck dont care about customer service. I went home and spoke with LG . The LG folks were very helpful and straight forward. Our model washer, wm3370hwa was plagued with issues and discontinued. They recommended the next size up 5.2 CU but it wont fit on the pedestal washer. so when I returned to lowes I was fully informed and I asked for the 5.2 Cu washer in white. Another but service negative consistent appliance specialist told me "they dont make it in white - what you see is all we got!" - I told him I had spoken with LG and gave him a reference number for a white model. I asked if he could order. NO. If they could have LG ship them a white one and then they ship back a gray? NO. we dont have that type of relationship with them. What!!?!?! a NATIONAL COMPANY!?!? Asked what my escalation path was...call the manager tomorrow. Called to speak with mgr Brian but he had taken a strategic day off. Got to speak with Christy the assistant manager who was at screaming level telling me all she could NOT do; no options available...why would I event THINK she would help. Just buy a complete set of gun-gray washer and drier set if you want it to match i guess. One thing for sure - distain of the customer experience is consistent at this store location. I will NEVER buy a piece of GUM at lowes and I advise you do not either. I went in anyway but told the first Lowes employee I saw that they needed to get more sanitizer. Three minutes later I went to peek to see if they had refilled the bin. Getting a an appliance delivered has been nothing but a huge headache. The first guys didn't even try getting our fridge through the door. Just looked and said it won't fit when clearly the measurements of our doorframe and the actual fridge say otherwise. After hours of going back and forth and finally getting a second delivery scheduled, a scratched fridge was brought. My husband and I both work and can't be sitting around for days on end for their delivery windows which they have yet to actually stick to. We had our fairly new Dishwasher go out on us nearly a month ago. We had bought a new Home less than 3 years ago and were surprised it failed so quickly. He happened to have a group of Family members coming into town and knew we needed a quick replacement. We wanted to pick from any of the ones that were in Stock and ready to be installed. After 2 Home Depots who were not very helpful we decided to give Lowes a shot. The guy that helped us was very friendly and check stock on everyone we asked him to check. We knew we were not going to get it the same day so we started asking how soon some of the options would come in. He again was helpful and told us that the one we liked would be about 2 weeks wait. We ordered it and paid cash and waited patiently. It was supposed to arrive on 6/16/20 We called on that date and were told it had not been shipped and they were not sure when it might happen. I called back again to the Store once again told they were not sure a week later. I just happened to be waiting for my wife while she was at the Doctors office and decided to see if I could get and update on 6/23/20 They tell me yes it is here and the note says hold for later pickup. If I was not persistent and just waited for their call who knows when we would have gotten the call. We picked it up the same day and that was annoying how many steps it takes to get out the door. Plenty of help sitting around and nobody doing anything. We finally get it home and of course the directions say these items not included and must be purchased separately so that means another trip to HD this time. It ended up taking us 4 hours for this simple do it yourself replacement but it is a great product and is so quiet you can hardly tell it is running. read more

The dryer was being delivered from the Hutto store and showed up 3 hours late, 4:15 pm is not between 8 am and 1 pm. The dryer was dented. Poor experience. Purchased a 3 inch cut off kobalt tool, with a three year warranty. I have a Lowe's commercial services account, that I have literally spent several hundred thousand dollars through over the last 15 years. One year passes of occasional home use, and the tool locks up. It still looks new, no paint chips, no worn areas, maybe a little dirt on the handle. That's it. i bring it back to the store (Lowe's Hutto) to request a replacement of this $59 tool, and no dice. spoke to the manager Steve, 3/27/2020, still no go. I gave the manager my Lowe's commercial services business account card, and asked him to look up the history on transactions. trying to show him that we have spent a ton of money here, and virtually never bring anything back. This still one of my favorite hardware stores to shop. I enjoy coming here all the time. They allow service and family dogs here. That is a plus in my book on top of them honoring our veterans with a military discount upon request. The consistently provide great customer service. Everyone I have interacted with in this store have always been friendly and helpful. Their staff is always willing to ask if you need assistance if they see you are looking around for stuff. They usually have some great deals too around the holiday season. The other cool thing is they have family activities you can do when your children on the weekends with Lowe's Build and Grow. They are free classes provided to kids. This one store is the only one in the area close to Pflugerville. read more

Well I called this store early and the operator was very unprofessional over the phone but told me you had item number 505373 on hand at Lowe's. Basically my phone experience was bad but when I arrived at the store to find this item which was suppose to be on aisle #2 Bay 15 was not there. So I spent about 20-30 minutes in the store looking for this item with the marvelous help of Soliel. We looked everywhere and she found them in over stock in the aisle 59 area. Hutto Lowes used to be my home improvement store of choice, no longer! My contractor returned hundreds of dollars worth of lumber to the store on my behalf and it took me calling the professional desk many times over six weeks to find out they not only weren't they returning the material they lost it. Which in my mind means they threw it away. They are way understaffed and don't return calls. People are really nice, but I can't afford to forgo hundreds of dollars in this business. Home Depot will be my store of choice from now on. Home Depot actually pulls my material for me ahead of time saving me a major amount of time spent picking up materials. Lowes says they'll do it but it's never ready when I go there. read more
