I was at Lowe's today and almost walked out of the store without making a purchase because there were store associates that were rude to me, my partner and my mom. We walked up to the front to complain, we ended up talking to several nice people. I would like to pay compliments to Jennifer, Sabrina and Xavier for being very nice and for helpful with our transaction, but the superstar of Lowe's is definitely Mason. He took time and stayed after his off time to make sure that we were taken care of. The time that he spent with us made us feel appreciated and valued as customers. If it were not for Mason, we would not have made the purchase today. If I could rate him over five stars, I would. Thank you, Mason for everything that you did today. read more

Went a couple weeks back to buy some wood, needed it cut and there machine was broke. before driving back to the store, I called to confirm their saw was working and they said it was. I drove there walked in and told the first associate I need could he get someone at the saw so I can have something cut. They said OK waited 30 minutes. Nothing went to the front pro counter told him I needed someone to come cut wood waited another 45 minutes and no one ever came. Went back to the front and said I've been waiting for more than an hour and no one has came back to the saw. They replied to say oh sorry they're at lunch. Left the store. I bought two vanities for delivery. They confirmed time and everything and then my order is mysteriously canceled. I tried to reorder and the vanity was $300 MORE? Each! What?!? It's always some crazy hassle like this with Lowe's and nobody is interested in making it right. The worst..up there with At&T and Carnival Cruise lines during the pandemic. Lowe's is my home improvement store for at least the past five years. I have hired Lowe's project management team to replace windows, install gutters and deliver flooring, drywall and paint. I've bought several refrigerators with added warranties and I have received rebates on the water filters. Last year Lowe's installed my washer and dryer at my house. I recently ordered some lawn seed to repair my front lawn and decided to try their online order and pick up at the store. I placed the order Saturday morning and i was emailed couple of hours later it was ready for pick up. I stopped by the next day, parked in the designated spot and called customer service. The employee delivered the grass seed to my car trunk after reviewing my identification and getting me to sign a pick up receipt. I would use their pick up system again. Really not sure why people give this place a low rating. Every single time I come here I see people on every aisle ready to help. I had three people help me find a special fitting I need it today for a project. Marco is just amazing, so is Jan, and Atlantis was just as nice and helpful. When I go to Home Depot there's never helped to be found. Not sure if it's a staffing issue or what but I can never find someone to help me so I will no longer be going to Home Depot. Every single time I come to Lowe's everyone is more than helpful, they always go above and beyond, and I always leave with what I need. Asked for advice on wood (lumber) purchase - man showed me the options, noted my requirement, and I was told to select and pay for lumber, then have it cut to size - paid, then proceeded to cutting station - waited several minutes - employee came but refused to cut the lumber - he also said he could only make 3 cuts and I wanted 4 (2 on each piece of wood) so said I would have to buy one piece one day, and the second piece the next...but in any case, the "3 cut rule" was moot because he refused to cut it at all, or offer any alternative solution. Pretty unpleasant about it, to boot. Total lack of customer service mentality or empathy. 1 star is generous. They have no idea what's going on and when you call to sort things out they don't answer. I'm convinced the phone is in an abandoned office somewhere with the door shut. Our washer and dryer was supposed to be sent today, they show up with hook ups for the washer and drying and said they would be back to deliver the refrigerator later (they delivered it the week prior) but no w/d an hour later someone brought a dryer but no washer. I've been on an endlessly ringing phone line without answer for over an hour to figure out where the washer is. Was supposed to have a stove delivered and installed today. Was scheduled for anywhere between 2 and 6PM. They called at 515PM and claimed they would be arriving at 6, 45 minutes later. They eventually showed up around 7. When my why questioned as to why they were an hour late she received attitude about how they stated, "They'd be there when they got there." The gentleman who was supposed to be installing and hauling off the gas stove proceeds to make an excuse about not being about to swap out our stove. Apparently tells my wife to hire a contractor to come change our entire gas line out. Left the new stove just sitting in the middle of our kitchen and then just left. Even though installation and haul away were paid for. Absolutely disgusting and disappointing service. Late, inconsiderate and unprofessional. We just had the floors replaced and have no dolly. So now we are stuck with a stove sitting in the middle of the kitchen until I can get some answers tomorrow. If I could give less than one star I would. read more

Buyers beware, we purchased our washer and paid extra for delivery and installation. Our first load all the water drained out onto our wood floors. The drain hose had not been connected to the machine at the bottom. We filed a claim with Lowe's who said they would take care of it. They hire a third company to deliver and install appliances, that company's insurance denied our claim because the person installing our washer was working outside the scope of what he is covered to do. My wife bought a pair of Allen + Roth outdoor metal chairs through this store in mid-August. No one bothered to tell her that the item was no longer in production. When I got around to trying to assemble the chairs in early October, I found that the instruction manual was not only written incorrectly, but that the parts sent with the chairs matched the wrong instructions, meaning there were insufficient parts to complete assembly of the second chair. I figured "just go to a hardware store to buy four 1/4 x 20 coarse thread 2/1/4" stainless steel hex bolts and complete the assembly." Well, that part just isn't made, apparently. I can find it in a 2" or a 2 1/2" (you can't cut stainless steel bolts to fit into a threaded hole). Next step is to call Allen + Roth: No luck, as the item can't be found because it has been discontinued, and no one at the company even knows what it is, nor can they find it. (Remember, we just bought this about 45 days earlier.) Next step is to call Lowe's. After trying to deal with entry-level people who can't find it (because it's been discontinued), I ask for a supervisor. Some jerk named Eric, who refuses to give me any further identification (last name, employee i.d.#, or whatever), says he'll check into it and "get back to me 'shortly' ". Four days later I've heard nothing, so I try to call him back, and no one knows who he is. (Surprise, surprise...) I then call another office at Lowe's, speak to a Martin, who won't give me a last name (company policy), but gives me an i.d.#, says he's taking copious notes, and will have a supervisor at the Tomball store call me by noon today with a status report on my four specialty bolts. Guess what? No call by noon, so I try to call Martin at 3:00 PM today, and no one knows who he is. Current status is that the Market Director of the Houston Area will call me by 5:00 PM tomorrow with a solution to my problem. If he doesn't, Lowe's will hear from my attorney. I'm fed up with each person putting the problem off to the next. This is the last time I'll ever deal with Lowe's on anything, as their customer service is IMHO non-existent. Well, I will not be shopping the 249/Cypresswood store again. I have had the WORST experience with everyone trying to get my blinds. I paid for vertical blinds almost 2 weeks ago and it's been a nightmare. Went to pick up a week ago and they weren't ready. Then told that they were short a box and that they couldn't cut the 8' blinds, the installer has to. He doesnt have hlthe equipment! Quantez and i got into a,shouting match.basically not his job. He had to do things for "his" customers although none where in store. Promised to call, never has. Now no one answers the phone. Said missing box would be in Fri late. Its Tue night and nothing. Can't even find my order online! These blinds were an "in stock" order. The store manager had an i dont care attitude last week. He's over customer service, which also is unhelpful. SHOP ELSEWHERE!! The staff may as well be ghosts. They see us looking around, helpless, and they run the other way. No one ever, ever asks if we need help. They seem to be busy doing something else but they never ever look involved in what they are doing. Sometimes I am lucky to tackle an employee who points in the right direction. Rarely. I had a laundry list of items, probably had over $300 to spend but guess what! No one was around (window blinds, range hood, lighting) so I went home, went online and ordered ALL of it from various other stores. Home Depot being one of them. The man at the kitchen desk - he saw us, at least peripherally, looking up at the aisle numbers, slowly walking, as we were desperately trying to make eye contact with him, and he picked up the phone as if to make a call, but I never heard him say a word into the phone. Would he pause? No. Could he pause? Yes. He obviously couldn't have cared less about customers right on front of him that just needed ONE question answered. I think it's gotta be in the Lowe's employee handbook to not acknowledge customers, wear a sullen look, and treat your customers in a manner that makes one wish they never stepped foot in this store. I had painters in my house all week and he said the contractors are treated very, very well by Lowe's, he says, because contractors spend lots of money in there.
