I'm writing to share my experience with a 700 square foot ceramic tile floor installation. Unfortunately it turned into one of the most frustrating home improvement experiences I've ever had. The installation was subcontracted out to Floor Interiors, managed by Jim. From the beginning the quality of the work was unacceptable. After installation, I discovered more than 20 loose tiles scattered throughout the entire area. It was clear the installers had not used the proper amount of mortar, reportedly only half of the mortar ordered was used. The installers came back multiple times to address the issues and each attempt made things worse rather than better. After the 3rd unsuccessful attempt, I refused to allow Floor Interiors, to return. Only after significant time, effort and frustration on my part did Lowes bring in a different company. This entire process took far more time and energy than it should have. I was initially told that Floor Interiors was the only subcontractor Lowe's had in my area of Naples, FL. I hope Lowes reevaluates their subcontractor partnership in this region. No customer should have to go through multiple failed repairs and extended inconvenience to receive the quality of work they paid for. read more

There is a reason these guys have a low rating... I purchased a $300 pressure washer. I went to return the unopened box 12 days later and was informed there is a 48 return policy. It is not on the receipt or at the cash registers. The rude agent and manager informed me it's on the larger sign with small print 15' high on the wall at the Return Desk and it's on the corporate web site. She told me I should have reviewed the website prior to buying. The Manager, Michelle, then cracked a smile and began to giggle as I was leaving. She seems to get a kick out of ruining a customer's day. Lowes doesn't care because I now see her name mentioned in many of these complaints. read more

Started delivering mostly DIY products for an external delivery service. I have to go to there pick up counter. Some employees are really nice and helpful. And some are just straight up rude right from my first hello. I'm having a good experience delivered cause I get leads for my painting business. Had kitchen countertops replaced December 1st by Lowe's Estero. i ended up with wrong sink and no replacement of plumbing on a Friday afternoon. Problem was lack of communication with Lowes in had already purchased a 70/30 sink but installers brought a large single sink It seems the countertop was cut for the larger sink so I could not put my70/30 sink that the same salesman that sold me the package had sold me and was in my garage. Have tried to see a manager twice. But all unavailable. Definitely cannot recommend for any kitchen or other work. I should've been informed about the plumbing which I wasn't for a plumber on a Friday afternoon. That was additional Cost. I purchased a washer and dryer about a month ago. I am already having problems with the appliance. The manager Michelle sold me an extended warranty, but the men who came out to install the appliances did not hook them up right and did not speak English. I went in to complain in person and did not get any help whatsoever. It has only been a month and I am having problems with the washer. I WILL NOT go back to this store EVER. I purchased a stove and dishwasher yesterday. The dishwasher comes with a package to hook up for the waterline, etc.. They told me that they would bring it with the install and I have to take it. Today, the only thing that was delivered with the stove because it was determined that I had taken the hook up line to the dishwasher. They said the only way to remedy the situation was for me to come back and do a refund and then purchase for the exact same amount which is a 30 minute drive one way Or they said I could go online and do a etc. and I said to them this is becoming too painful and I'd like to just handle a different way. The person from Lowe's can't wait to hear about this in a sarcastic tone. I said let me just do a refund and after 30 minutes on the phone I got a refund. said to suggest that maybe when this being an inconvenient, maybe they should offer them a $10 gift card and all did was hang up on me. Outstanding customer service! I had to fix a hole in a concrete floor. I had no idea what I was doing, so while I was trying to figure out what to buy one of the sales representatives named David came over to see if I needed any help. I told him what I needed to do and that I know nothing about pouring concrete he explained to me exactly how to do the job showed me what type of concrete I needed and the trowel. He even thought to ask me if I had anything to mix the concrete in. He basically did everything except the actual job itself. If it hadn't been for his help, I would've bought a concert patch that never would've set because of how deep the hole was. I know that this store has at least one great employee from what I have experienced. I figured the least I could do was to leave a good review as a thank you. read more

I am a seasonal resident, I own my place here in Bonita Springs. Last season I purchased an item but our handyman couldn't install it before we left. Back this season, I purchased the wrong thing and needed to exchange. The package wasn't opened and I had a receipt. Lowe's in Estero wouldn't even give me store credit even though they still stock the item I purchased! I frequently use the Lowe's at home, I will never use the store in Estero again. read more

Do NOT order a stock front door for your home from Lowes! In store ordering was the easiest part, and they did send someone to measure the door and take pictures of how everything is prior to the install. After that it has all been down hill...save yourself and stay away! The lady at the door department was great. She was like the door is in stock and install takes 1 day if that. We send the install team with everything you need even the inspection paperwork. Great, pay in full and get scheduled for install. Then, install team arrives and nothing fits on the door. The paperwork they sent for inspection was of a garage door for a property that wasn't my home. Install team kept blaming the store for the mix up of the parts, the door, and paper work. Okay, call the store...it's fine we will get inspection with the city out there after install. Okay, we fail inspection because they used dry wall blue screws and not enough across the top. Call the store (and install team) again. No worries it happens all the time. Okay, well nothing fits on the door, the threshold is off, the matching trim is off, we failed inspection, and this isn't going to work this way. The store goes well the threshold is supposed to have an inch gap from the tile and a gap from where the door meets on the new ones. I go there is NO way am I tripping out the door every time I walk out it. I have never seen a front door with any gaps where people, animals, ADA issues can hurt themselves. What? Next, you have to match the trim around the or you devalue the house (the trim they left was the wrong size so you can see through the crack of the door frame and wall to the outside) I love letting air conditioning out and bugs in. Call the store and install team again, well because of Covid there is a delay on parts. Okay no problem. Wait another week, get updates daily by phone (hours worth of calls) then a month in the calls stop. The store closed out the order since the parts never came in for a pre-hung ready to go door. So I call again and re-open the order. This time the install team and store want videos, pictures, and written description of what's going on. Okay not a problem...send that all in. Months go by and same excuses. Finally after the new year I get a call from Lowes that they have all the parts and it will be fixed after months of back and forth. Install guy arrives and nope, he has no parts, nothing to fix it, and wants to take up the tile floors to get the door in. I'm like ohhhh heck no, I'm not messing with tile and replacing floors for a standard pre-hung door that was supposed to take 1 day in. So then the owner of the install company FaceTimes with me and figured out that Lowes requested the right door jam size, but sent the wrong jam to the house. Okay, so let's get the right one. Now the install owner is on the case. Well another month goes by and I don't hear from Lowes, The Lowes Install Department, or the Install company owner. Just called in now to get an update and surprise the parts aren't listed to be ordered and the jam is on back order/can't be ordered so they will have to order a new pre-hung door. To summarize: a pre-hung in stock front door that was supposed to take 1 day to install (that was ordered August 2021) is still not properly installed in June 2022. With now no end date in sight. Between all the phone calls, emails, failed install appointments it has taken me hours and lots of money in time off of work to deal with this. Plus, we are going into Hurricane season so I'm hoping we don't have a storm because I have no faith in the strength of my partially installed front door. To top it all off, Lowes just keeps saying this happens all the time and we will keep working on it. Round and round we go!! read more

On January 19th. 2024, I tried to return a blind that was the wrong size and was missing the appropriate hardware. I brought the blind WITH THE RECEIPT to the customer service where I was met with a bad attitude from the employees (who had no idea what their jobs are and a woman that supposedly works in the blind section) the hourly associate stated I needed the hardware for a return. At this point, I'm upset due to having the original receipt. I then proceeded to yell at her and to fetch a manager. The asst. manager greeted me with an attitude. She immediately stated that I need to return the item to the store that I originally purchased it from. I then proceeded to lecture her about good customer service and how she exemplified the opposite and she challenged me. I continued to walk out. I've never been so mad at the lack of "customer service" as I was today. They lost a customer who is a professional in the building industry. I spent $300 on a TV stand that didn't come with instructions on how to build it. I went back to the store only for them to tell me that none of the other models they had came with instructions. Meaning that I had to call the company to get the instructions which I then had trouble getting a hold of. They sent a guy out here that could barely speak English and that was frustrating, then they never called me back. So I called in there three times and spoke to Ryan. I didn't like employees working at the cash register working in the garden section. The cashiers was very arrogant. We were buying plants and there wasn't any of the plastics for the plants to put it in the vehicle. We tried to pay with our store credit and the cashier rejected and especially with our identification cards. That's completely bad service. If you are contemplating using Lowe's Home Improvement in Estero for a kitchen remodel reconsider. They outsource the installation to a company in Venice FL who won't respond to the kitchen design team at Lowe's with estimates for installation. In other words, you go through the process to design your project and then it stalls out because the installers won't quote the project. Sale prices on cabinets and counters expire because they cannot complete the process. Go elsewhere. I lost two months trying to work with them. read more

Here we sit, five (5) months past your estimated completion date with windows that FAILED inspection for a SAFETY hazard yet we cannot get anyone out here to rectify the issue. Numerous times over the past eight months since we contracted you there have been appointments that were not only missed, but you didn't even have the courtesy to call. We have taken time off of work, away from our family, chasing after Lowe's and your subcontractors (BTW-your salesman guaranteed all work would be done by Lowe's employees, NOT subcontractors). Yet, here we are, with no end in sight and every associate with whom we speak tries to blame subs, Pella, the salesman who was since fired (apparently he screwed several customers on his way out), and no one takes responsibility or seems to take pride in the company. One of the employees, Kim, was extremely rude to my family and I. We were purchasing $1,000 worth of fans and they would not honor a $10 off coupon because it didn't have the bar code. They said we needed to email Lowe's, get the bar code, and then come back to the store for the $10 off. She would not manually enter a $10 off coupon, either. Kim and three other female Lowe's employees just sat around gossiping, while a line of 20 people formed. We left all of the fans and walked out. Don't waste your time with this location. I ordered a new grill, with some accessories online. Because I drive a smaller SUV, I specifically did not want the grill assembled, and did not choose that option when placing the order. When I went to pick it up, they rolled up with an assembled grill that definitely would not fit in the car. When I told the guy, he repeatedly stated that "we would not have assembled the grill unless you asked for it". I even double checked the order online, AND the printed receipt that they had taped to the grill, and there was nothing about requesting assembly on it. The guy refused to exchange the grill unless we cancelled and placed the entire order again. read more

"Tried" to buy a stackable washer & dryer but getting them delivered turned into a nightmare. First attempt...they lost the order, second attempt...they forgot the installation kit so I waited all day to have them haul the units back to their store, third attempt...the unit was damaged so they canceled the day of delivery, fourth attempt...they cancelled the order the day of delivery because they realized they didn't have the unit in stock. Talking to them was not a good experience. They just didn't seem to care about the customer. So, did a lot of sitting around, a lot of rescheduling, and several weeks without a washer & dryer. I cancelled the order and will try another store. Have literally spent thousands of dollars with Lowes but probably done with them. Not sure if its lack of training, poor systems, or they just don't care but in any event, my experience was probably the worst purchase experience that I have had. Will probably try a local store and try to avoid the "big box - brick-and-mortar" places. Hopefully the local companies care more about their customers! read more

We stopped in today to use the store credit that my husband had been unable to use due to a new store policy of having to have the person and the drivers license there who had originally gotten the credit. Seems like an extreme thing, but I guess they were having issues with theft, so makes sense. They didn't have the product that I had planned to pick up, but one of the associates spent plenty of time helping me find a good substitute, and even brought a couple different options and discussed what I was using for, and read through labels with me. Super helpful! I still needed to find one more thing to use up the store credit, so I headed to look at storage bins and came across some hangers that were on clearance that we could use. I wasn't clear from the signage if the ones I was looking at were the ones on clearance so I grabbed it and associate to ask. It turns out the associate was the store manager, and he was super helpful and carried the hangers up to the front of the store since I was at full hands with kiddos. When I went to check out, the store credit wouldn't work because I had recently renewed my license and made a change. The entire store staff we came into contact with worked to resolve the issue within their store policies. They were all so helpful, I was really impressed! read more

November 2nd 2022. I ordered a workbench online and was told I would be messaged when ready for pickup. Sure enough, I received a text saying the pickup is ready. I got there around 3pm and waited in the pick up parking space and followed the instructions in the text. 45 Minutes passed without any further communication. I called the store and finally got to speak to someone who called herself an"Assistant Manager". If this is Lowes Management, don't ever try to do business with this store, their customer service is nonexistent. This person was extremely rude and not at all apologetical to me in any way. I'm waiting for the Lowes corporate office to call me back, but it doesn't look like that will happen anytime soon either. read more

Went to exchange some craftsman sockets, the guy helped me find what I was looking for perfectly fine and was very nice. Head up to customer service to exchange them and the lady looks at them and says what's wrong with them? They where stripped. Proceeds to tell me they don't cover normal wear and tear. I'm a mechanic so I exchange tools all the time so I know it's bull. She exchanged them anyway but with a hard time. I'll even post a pic of craftsman warranty policy so you have it. This store has a paint department that is pathetic. I went in today to buy some paint. There were not any customers there except for me. There was an associate behind the counter but did not acknowledge me. I waited for a few minutes and walked over to him on the other side of the counter. I said hello to him, and he completely ignored me. He was playing with something under the counter. I then asked him if I could get some help. Again he ignored me. About 10 minutes had passed and still no response. One associate from plumbing walk buy, and I asked him if he could help. He did not know much about paints, but he did offer to help me. The paint guy over heard our conversation and told the plumbing guy where the paint was. I got frustrated and told them to forget it, I was going to Home Depot. On the way out I asked for the manager at the service desk, but she was busy on the phone. I was so frustrated that I just left. I would not recommend this store for anything. They have a very bad staff problem there. Customer service should be their number one priority, but this store has failed miserably. Avoid them. read more
