I bought a washer and drier several years ago. Now have a lot of black mold on the inside rubber gusset. Smells!!! Dangerous. Went back to find out what to do about this and possibly buy a different washer. Manager of appliances was the least helpful rudest person met lately. Kept saying what do you want me to do? I kept answering, tell me how to fix or recommend another washer and drier. He kept saying he had this brand and didn't have this problem. Have been a long time fan of Lowe's and even have their credit card but I ran into a very poor experience on Thursday around 2 pm. I needed to buy some paint supplies and waited patiently by the paint desk with another customer. An associate named Jimmy walked by us at least 4 times and completely ignored ( even after both of us trying to get his attention) us. I went to the front desk and asked for help and they made an announcement and who shows up but Jimmy. He was wearing a mask and we could not understand him and I asked him to speak up to which he replied that he will not speak any louder or raise his voice. This is not the kind of attitude I would have expected in a pandemic when stores are fighting for customers. Bottom line I gave up and found some of the items on my own and bought the rest at Ace where they were super helpful read more

I never write bad reviews because I feel that there is always room for improvement. However when it comes to terrible customer service than I have no problem voicing my outrage. My husband and I received a 10% coupon for moving and so we made a list of everything we needed so would could make the 10% count. Our total was 500 bucks but the coupon wouldnt scan. The manager came over and was very rude. She told us that we needed to come back with a printed copy of the coupon . Im seven months pregnant and we had two carts full carts. Really where is the compassion for a 10% discount? Ive been in customer service for years and this is the very first time I have experienced such rudeness. Needeless I WILL not be using Lowes again. I really believe in supporting businesses that support the customer instead of berating them. read more

This Lowes is my go-to store for home improvement and tools. They've helped me with projects as simple as "I'd like to install rope light on my lanai," to as complex as re-carpeting my house. The staff is helpful, although (like most big-box stores), finding someone available to help you is sometimes a problem, but there are a number of "push here for help" buttons that are well-attended. Sometimes finding things can be a problem -- they've got a LOT of items in their inventory -- but again, the staff are helpful with finding things. All in all, it's a good place to go to if you're doing any maintenance or improvement on your house. read more

This store is both well stocked and well staffed. You can find help quickly and effectively. When considering the store stays open as late as 10:00 p.m., I have time to make the second trip back to the store when I need another item. Overall, Lowes is now a brand that I enjoy relying on. read more

I waited in line for 11 minutes to return an item. Only 1 person at the desk. Finally another girl, Shelby, showed up that had been puttering around the counter and could clearly see that it was busy with a line of customers. All she said to me was "do you have your receipt" and was obviously in a bad mood. She never said hello, thank you or your welcome. I realize retail is a tough job but if you hate your job so much that it shows to customers then it's time to move on. read more

Went to by a Rubbermade mop with exchangeable mop head. Lady in the mop isle working was so condescending. "We dont carry anything like that" Im holding the refill mop head in my hand. She starts pointing out cheesy basic throw away home mops and a mop with a metal mop head clamp system. I explained I was concerned the metal may scar the wood floors and I was more interested in the plastic Rubbermade versions. She walked away scoffing only to return minutes later and state what i was looking for was one isle over. See,,,, that was easy. I guess Customer service is not her cup of tea. Every year I purchase Mulch when it is on sale and do a make over of our yard. This year I went to lowe's and tried to purchase mulch. It was an advertised sale 5/$10. No brown, No rain Check, just Too bad we do not have it. Better luck next time. This store has gone down hill in the past 6-8 months. You would think that with sooo many new homes being built on corkscrew road that this store would be all over it and have plenty of merchandise. This is the best Lowe's I've ever been to. Employees are polite and helpful. I've lived in many cities and this Lowe's is by far the best. We recently painted our entire rental property and it was a big project for my husband and I. We made many visits to the paint department. There is an older gentleman who works there (I wish I asked for his name) who helped us with every little question. He was always helpful, patient, kind and funny. He helped us with all our paint needs from color matching to picking the proper sheen. A+ for customer service!! read more

The installation department is the most inept, rude and untrsustworthy group I have ever worked with. The assistant manager was not only uncooperative, he was rude and condescending. One star is generous. We ordered (and paid 100% for) a ThermaTru pre-hung custom front door with sidelights from Lowes Feb 28 2019. I found out it was sitting in Lowes store for several weeks and they had yet to apply for the permit. Permit was issued on April 9th. Installation took until May 8th to schedule. May 7th they had a third party deliver the door; no sidelights. I asked the driver about it and he said "we only deliver and it's not on the order". Clearly the sticker on the door said "1 of 3" but no one at Lowes bothered to check that everything was there. I had to call Lowes and pitch a fit to get them to go check on the missing 2 sidelights. Low and behold they found them in the back of the store. Enter the installer's - they came as promised on May 8th and proceeded to install the door but noticed during the install that the sidelights were manufactured with the glass inserts inside/out. "These won't pass inspection as they are incorrect". "We will notify Lowes of the issues". Despite Lowes having the doors/sidelights for over 30-days - no one in the store noted they were manufactured incorrectly. 1-week later and nothing from Lowes. I started calling their installation department daily to get answers about when they would be fixed. Only "I'll check and call you back." I finally decided to go directly into the store and talk to a manager in the installation department. She was rather matter of fact about the whole scenario - "it's our distributor that has to fix it, not us". I guess I should have purchased it from their distributor too. SO (big sigh here), the distributor's installer comes May 22nd to fix it and everything is going swimmingly until the final sidelight and then it gets cracked in the process of reinstalling it in the sidelight. "we will have a new glass tomorrow 23 May from Orlando". Guess what - it didn't make it from Orlando, so now "it's next week". We still have to get it replaced, city inspected and then final installation tweaking; at this rate, it will be mid-June before it's all done. PLEASE - if you are considering a special order door from Lowes in Estero, you REALLY need to reconsider and go to a place that specializes in doors and windows, go to Home Depot (They now sell ThermaTru (wonder why)?), or you could easily find yourself in this same mess. We have been Lowes customers since 1997 - spent close to $100K (remodeled two house, appliances, etc.). We just became Home Depot or any place but Lowes customers. Lowes - if you read this and want to challenge any part of it, I welcome that opportunity. Frankly, I doubt they care. I suspect this is all indicative of why they are closing stores. read more

Today I went to Lowe's and after spending 30 minutes happily picking out paints, I took 7 to the counter that I wanted sample size containers to buy. The guy was extremely rude, I never write reviews on these things, but this hit a whole new level. Disrespectful, condescending, terse, with a very "get f***ing lost" vibe. The other employee behind the counter said "wow f***ing Sundays" when he thought we weren't listening... Anyways, he tried to get us to not purchase the samples. (and not in a sales kind of way, a "you should go to another paint store" way.) I am sorry you're at work, sir and have to pour samples? He was remarkably rude... Seemed so simple of a process on being able to order my washer and dryer online - I chose to filter my options of in store because I wanted to be able to receive the appliances in a timely manner as opposed to ordering from a different retailer (which now looking at the entire time this has taken would have been quicker going with them). So first your in store filter was not true or was not current because the item was placed on 2/27/2021 and was to have a delivery date on 3/7/2021 which worked out perfectly to provide no gap on my end of having a washer and dryer. As the week went on, I then got an email updating me that I was reschedule to 3/12/2021 - ok - not sure why I would be pushed that far out on a in stock item. I went into the Estero Store on 3/7/2021 (the date that I was to get my washer and dryer) to then find out is not in the store and expected to come in on 3/9/2021 and that they would move up my date if that was the case. Well on 3/9/2021 I call the store to find out if it came in and was told that nothing is in and that the date for delivery is still 3/12/2021. I called again on 3/10/2021 with the same response that it would be on 3/12/2021. I call on 3/11/2021 that day before my delivery to see if it is at the store and they said yes, and I would get a call before 9PM that day to narrow down my window of delivery from the 8 AM to 8 PM. Well 9PM comes and go with no call. This is extremely frustrating since I don't know how to plan my next day for work and what to try to move around - I am unable to be in my house from a time frame of 8AM to 8PM and nor should that be the case for a delivery. I call the store the morning of my delivery which then they gave a time frame of 2PM to 6 PM now I asked if I am not able to be there for a part of that that I would then need to do to reschedule because I could do some of that time but not the entire window. See if I was given this information in advance as opposed to me having to call to find out what my time window was, I may have been able to rearrange a few things to make it worked. Because I had question on the window of 2PM - 6 PM it was listed as a reschedule and pulled from the truck which is not what was communicated on the phone when I called to how that process was. I then get a call that I want to reschedule so I asked if I could have Saturday Afternoon (again without a washer and dryer now for almost a week with kids so laundry is piling up) and was told that only gated communities are delivered on Saturdays, but they could give me Sunday 3/14/2021 and said that was fine. I asked what the window would be, and they said I would get a call by 9PM - again NO CALL on 3/13/2021. I call the store on 3/14/2021 for my delivery for that day for the time frame to then be told it is not on the list and not on a truck to be delivered. I am then told that there was a glitch that reverted my order back to a delivery on 3/12/2021 and there is nothing that can be done for that day but what could be done was I could be first on the list for the next day of 3/15/2021. This time I get a call later in the day on 3/14/2021 to give me a window on 8AM to 12PM. I call the store at 8:10 on the day of delivery 3/15/2021 to make sure that I am the first on the list since I had to rework my morning on short notice again and was told that it was on the truck and that I was on the first on the list and should be there shortly. So here is the thing I was not first on the list because there were no notes placed to state that and I am told when this when I call the store at 11AM after getting very frustrated with trying to call the store at 9AM and again at 10AM to get to someone in delivery because I was being passed around to other department, I gave up trying to reach the right section. When I finally was able to speak with someone, I was then told the window was from 8AM to 12PM and again nothing in the system about being first on the list because of a glitch in the system and that delivery was supposed to happened yesterday. So 12pm comes and goes and no delivery shows up so again I call the store to then be told the delivery people are 2 hours behind and NOW I am moved out to 2PM. I am absolutely 100% regretting my decision on making a purchase with Lowes and will plan on never recommending friends and family to make a large appliance purchase after this ordeal and will never make such purchase in future for an appliance that needs to be delivered. I have never had such a horrible experience for a large ticket item and lack of communication on a lot of ends. I am truly disappointed, and this has left a very sour note, and nothing was really done to help the situation cause the little things that could have been done were not executed and cause even more delay and frustration on me as the customer. This Lowe's is awesome! We've visited this store probably 10 times over the past few weeks as we just purchased a new home. We've bought everything from a toolbox, many appliances, ladders, trashcans, blinds -- you get the idea. Every time we go, we've run into the nicest and most helpful sales associates. They go out of their way to ensure they are able to meet our needs, answer any questions we have and are always so personable and friendly. Most recently, we had a very nice gentleman, Bryan, help us cut 11 blinds for us late on a Wednesday night. We provided the measurements and he helped to make sure we picked the right sizes to cut from, offered helpful advice on different brands, in-stock vs special order, and more. We've really appreciated the helpfulness and knowledge that everyone brings to the table there. Great store. read more

I had the carpet replaced in our house with berber carpet from the Lowes store in Estero Florida. It came with a 1 year parts and labor warranty through Lowes. After a about four months we noticed the seams beginning to show. It did not seem that bad so we did nothing about it at the time. Finally after about six months we started calling the store to get someone to fix this problem. A month went by and still nothing. Called again and they said they had no history of our call but would send someone out to look at the carpet. Someone came to the house and looked at the carpet and said this was normal for berber and there was not a problem with the carpet or their installation. If this was normal wouldn't you tell the customer this might happen so they could choose a different carpet. She said someone would contact us in a couple days to discuss the problem with us. They did not call. We called and the person we needed to talk to was not available. It has been months again and nothing. This store in Estero Florida has the worst customer service I have ever dealt with. They did not honor their warranty or even try to help us. I would not recommend this store to anyone. I have spent so much money at Lowes over the years. They really disappointed me and will no longer give them my business! read more
