I had a really great experience in Lowe's the other day. Generally I go to Home Depot which is near my house. I happen to be near Lowe's and needed a few items and decided to check it out. WOW!!!! There are actually sales staff there in the isles that can help you and know what there talking about, Unlike Home depot were your lucky to find a single person anywhere in the store to help you. I have found my new goto store for all my home and fix up needs. The prices are about the same as Home Depot and they virtually have all the same things. The store was very clean and very well laid out. The staff was amazing I was in and out in 15 minutes Will definitely be going to Lowe's more often.

Someone was here when I came I but when I asked they said they'd be back and it's been 40 mins already and nobody still hasn't come

I've been waiting for almost 40 mins for someone to come help me in the paint aisle and no still hasn't come, these people are either lazy or don't want to work

Thanks James & PJ for your help today.. JUST GREAT

Do NOT buy your appliances from Lowe's. TWO weeks and still waiting for delivery. Repeat, do NOT buy your appliances from Lowe's.

Sooooo I started renovating my living room & kitchen at the end of February 2023. So I started…read moreshopping for appliances. But I'm not finding anything that I liked that suited me. So I Bing (Like Google just different search engine) Appliance Stores with great service. And Gringer popped up. Tom gave me a tour of all that they had to offer including the downstairs. He also informed me that if I chose to use them that I could buy the appliances and they would hold onto them until I was ready for delivery. I liked this option. Seven months later, because wrong windows were ordered & kitchen floor needing to be replaced with new floor joists. I'm finally back at Gringer and Andrew helps me this time. Keep in mind both times I go to the store after work in my work clothes, so I'm kinda not smelling that great, diesel fuel & dirt on my sweatshirts. Not cute at all. But They treated me as if I had walked in with a Chanel suit. No judgement. And he does some thing that I think all customer service people should do. He asked me what I liked in the appliances that I was looking for what my style was, and what features that I needed. Then said he would put together some appliance packages. He asked me what I was OK with. Like if I needed to stay with the same brand or was it OK to mix and match and he said he would email me what he had for me & to go over them at my leisure, and get back to him. I appreciate a person who is a man or woman of their word, and he did exactly that. He gave me many options. He got back to me in a timely manner along with the options. He emailed me all of the spec sheets and everything had the cost on it. I went to appliance world in Huntington, Plessers in Babylon, Capuano in Farmingdale, several PC Richards and yes, even Lowe's and Home Depot. And online of course. So yes, I shopped around but from my first meeting with Tom and Andrew, I knew it was gonna come down to service which is very important when buying appliances . But not only was the service great the prices were outstanding and the fact that they checked out every rebate and discount for me was awesome. Finance options were also explained thoroughly. I didn't get delivery until February because this project is ridiculously long. So Gringer held my appliances for me until I was ready for delivery! My contractor took even longer to hook them up so I didn't know how great they were until this weekend. But I cannot recommend highly enough Gringer's exemplary customer service from beginning to end. And beautiful appliances to boot! 4-22-2024

To make matters worse, the fridge recently broke due to a faulty compressor. Had I known the truth, I never would have bought it. Feels like a huge case of misrepresentation. Have purchased two washing machines and two fridges from willies. Fabulous, easy and affordable…read more I have a thing for top loaders that operate old school style- not a fan of the fancy schmancy front loaders and not a fan of all sorts of bells and whistles that potentially fail down the line. I know too many friends that have spent thousands and have spent more later down the road for repairs and replacements after only a couple years. Or the machines were too heavy and ended up ruining their floors etc. My first washer failed about a month in, Willie himself came over looked at it and replaced it immediately. SEVEN years later it wasn't spinning anymore- pretty sure my kids overloaded it- for the cost of an appliance repair guy to come out, I went instead, back to Willie's and purchased a new Whirlpool for $180 bucks. Does it have a small ding and scratch on it? Yep. do I really care? Nope. While I was there I also replaced my garage fridge (a hand me down) which had been acting up. My first fridge is fine- it's in a shop environment and used in a break room, very simple, nothing fancy and does the job. My second Fridge has been fabulous- brand new. The washer I recently purchased was doing a crazy floor dance thing while in the spin cycle- thought it was uneven but no matter how much i played with the balancing, it kept happening- called and they sent Virgil out to repair a few days later; a perfect gentleman, pleasant conversationalist, clean worker and knew exactly what he was doing. In and out in 15 minutes. Replaced the springs- and now? Washer runs smooth as butter. So- yes, you might have to give them a call to straighten out a kink or two. No biggie when your saving hundreds in my opinion. If you want perfect go to a regular store, pay top dollar and still deal with the same issues. The warranty period is nice and long- 180 days- certainly enough time to address anything that is due to a poor or damaged product upon purchase. Hands down, the best appliance place ever for easy, simple and affordable with a very decent and easy warranty period. Oh- also bought my dryer from them seven years ago- never have had an issue. It's run perfectly since day one.

They took it upon themselves to do what they want with my money. I told her that I cannot wait, I will go somewhere else and to send refund. Two days go by (tue) and still no sign of a refund. I call again and she states that she will send now. Another 2 days go by (thur) and I send another email with no response. The following day (fri) I call and ask why my refund has yet to hit my account? She then tells me that she forgot and that she will send it now. I should not have to chase my money. This establishment has shown practices of theft and I would highly recommend anyone to be weary.

Rating: So why does a Brooklyn guy buy appliances in…read moreSmithtown? If you live in a Brooklyn brownstone, you know the "appliance dilemma." Replacing a 12-year-old washer and dryer isn't just a purchase; it's a logistical nightmare involving tight custom spaces and several flights of stairs in a walk-up. I turned to Vito Jr. at Smithtown Appliance, and the experience was flawless. Because of the specific dimensions of our laundry area, we needed surgical precision. Vito coordinated the entire project perfectly. He "had a guy" for every step of the process. A huge shoutout goes to Sam and the installation team. They arrived early to disconnect the old units and returned immediately after the delivery crew finished the heavy lifting--navigating those brownstone stairs with the old units out and the new ones in without a hitch. Sam's team then finished the installation with expert care, ensuring everything fit the custom space perfectly. In a city where delivery stories usually involve a lot of stress and "curbside only" excuses, Smithtown Appliance delivered a masterclass in service and coordination. If you want the job done right--especially in a challenging space--this is the place to go.

Absolutely the WORST customer service! I have bought numerous appliances from Smithtown Appliance…read more over the years and have found the service to continue to significantly decline particularly in the past 5 years. I used them one last time, hoping they perhaps would have improved as I know they have gotten many poor reviews. NOPE, what I found was the staff were rude, unprofessional, actually lied about intention to help me and completely not helpful. I had a dryer delivered 2 weeks ago. I was not home during the delivery. When I got home I noted significant dirt tracked in by the delivery men, dirt marks all over my expensive carpeting that would have to be professionally cleaned. I also noticed where the men literally dragged the very heavy machine up the carpeted stairway, leaving drag marks at the edge of each step. I immediately called the store and spoke with MARK. I explained the situation and Mark assured me that he would have the delivery company that they contract with call me the next day and they would take care of any damaged cause. Several days went by and I heard nothing. I subsequently called MARK 4 SEPARATE TIMES leaving a detailed message each time, with no call back. Extremely unprofessional and disappointing. Bottom line, look at the numerous poor reviews on Smithtown Appliance, they are true!!! Do not use this company if you expect good, reliable, professional service. Go elsewhere for your appliance needs.

I am not a grill person, I cook like crazy, but indoors, zero grill knowledge. I used google to do some research but ultimately went to Home Depots website and looked up highly rated grills blah blah blah. My Dad had an old Weber and I had been told by countless people that Webers were the best so I knew that's what I wanted to go with. Came in and went straight to customer service for some assistance and a guy walked me over to the grills and we took a quick look. He gave me his recommendation and was knowledgable enough about which grill I should get. I went with the Spirit, their cheapest Weber option because I was told it's still a fantastic grill and through all the research I had done, that was what I was gathering as well. They didn't have any in stock and I certainly wasn't going to take the floor model, yeah right. So the guy helped order one from a different store and set me up for free delivery. The process was smooth and easy, he was a great help. Now because I'm a pain in the butt and super indecisive, three days later I changed my mind and decided I wanted to go with the upgraded version, the big dog, the Genesis. I came into the store and making the switch was also, very very easy. This time another gentleman assisted me and told me they had the grills built in the back and that one of those would be the one sent to my house. I was for sure not taking his word for it because as I had seen at other Home Depots, they put the grills out for people to open, mess around with, try out before purchasing if you will and I again, did not want a floor model. I voiced my concern and the guy assured me the grill was set up and wrapped in plastic ready for purchase. He even took the time to bring me in the back and show me for myself, which I really really appreciated. The grill was wrapped up nicely with tape to hold the wrapping in place and once I made my purchase, he wheeled the grill into the back storage area for me so that there was no confusion about whose grill it was. The home delivery was free as they were running a special for free delivery if you buy a grill over, I'm not sure exactly, I think it was $300 or so. So I did that. Since the delivery was free they give you a very wide time frame. I was told the grill would come some time between 6 am and 8pm, something like that. So basically I didn't leave my house all day and this was surprise so I had to make sure I was home. The delivery guys came around 2:30 and wheeled the grill out to where we wanted it. When we eventually unwrapped it there were a few scratches on the front of the grill, I wasn't happy about it but my Dad didn't mind. Little bit of a bummer. Overall my experience at this Home Depot was good and I was definitely dealing with customer service directly for these transactions. One big problem though, getting through to someone on the phone is a nightmare. I tried to reach the customer service desk for, a very very long time with no luck. I called the garden department, no luck, doors and windows no luck, you name it, I called it and no one answered. Probably should do something about that.
