When I picked it up the next day, I was charged for an oil change and a spark plug that I never approved. They charged me $25 for a spark plug, even though I had just bought one the day before and planned to install it myself. The repair had nothing to do with the engine, so I don't understand why those services were performed without asking me first. I paid the bill and left because I didn't want to argue. After getting home, I noticed a bolt was completely stripped. I called them, and they told me to bring it back. When I returned, the owner looked at it with me, but then the technician who worked on it came out with an attitude and claimed the bolt was already stripped. I know it wasn't. In my opinion, if a bolt gets stripped during a repair, it should be replaced rather than left that way. What really bothered me is that the repair bill was over $400, yet they couldn't be bothered to replace a simple stripped bolt. They had no problem charging me for services I never asked for, but apparently replacing a damaged bolt was too much to do. At that point, I was done dealing with the situation and started to leave. The technician followed me, yelling and asking what my problem was. I told him I didn't appreciate his attitude, and he continued being argumentative. It was extremely unprofessional. To make matters worse, after I got home the second time, the machine would not start at all. Overall, I had a very poor experience due to the lack of communication, unauthorized charges, poor workmanship, and unprofessional customer service. I would not recommend this shop.

I am very impressed with the service we received on our John Deere Ride on lawn mover recently. We…read morecould not get the mover to start this year and it had been acting up at the end of last year. We needed to find a mobile repair service and the first one I called no longer services the area we live in. He did recommend North Shore Power Lawn Equipment to me. I am so happy he did. I called and spoke to Tim who is the proprietor, on the phone. He picked our mower up on a Sat and returned it on Tuesday. He replaced the battery, and did a tune up which included Sharpening and balancing the blade, cleaning the air filter, changing the oil, cleaning the fuel tank, changing the spark plug, cleaning under the mower deck, adjusting control cables, checking compression and ignition and doing a test run. The mower is now running great and we received it back faster then expected. Tim is a really nice guy and knows what he is doing. All in all one of the best experiences ever with a repair. Oh and by the way his price was very reasonable.
