I had a Stihl mini chainsaw and a battery trimmer both of which were not working, but practically unused. Stihl told me to handle it with Carl's. I went there for both things and both were simple fixes like I had the chain on backwards! The trimmer was jammed up with weeds. They fixed both in minutes and wouldn't take any money or take advantage of a woman alone. They were kind, professional, and helpful to me. read more

One had a bandanna draped around his neck, not helpful as far as limiting the spread of COVID. Went in today for a part for my Honda power washer motor. The rep told me he could order my part...but if I wanted it today another store down the road is a licensed Honda dealer and probably stocks the part. Any business that would send me to a competitor unsolicited just to save me some time is a business I will gladly patronize any time I can. read more

And I was having problems with my lawnmower and I had questions plus they where checking the battery for me. She pulled the service technician away from me. Over priced and rude. The owner/manager/ whomever is beyond merely rude. They've been there a long time, used to be more reasonably priced and the customer service was good. This guy though! I've gone there several times and each time I've experienced rude service particularly from who I believe is the manager. Carl's Equipment is the very BEST place to service all your landscaping equipment needs! I recently purchased a Toro Zero turn mower from Home Depot (a good deal). Carl's assembled it and delivered the mower and showed me how to use it. Some weeks later, I even had to call them for emergency assistance and Dan came out to my house and looked at the mower and immediately FIXED my issue. Everyone was professional and courteous. Parts are severely overpriced, and they stock very little even of common stuff. the counter 'help' is the worst I think they truly make it up as they go along. They are happy to sell you the wrong part, despite telling them the exact product number, then try to refuse a return. read more

Just left this place and if I could leave zero stars I would,after deciding not to buy a 1400 mower the "salesmen?" Attitude completely changed,he said if you buy the $349 toro I'll"waive" the $50 assembly fee,so I went with it,swiped the card now I'm waiting for the mower and I see a box out by my truck..I ask him what that is? He says your mower? You said you'd "waive" the fee to assemble? He says "I did but no one is here to do it? I am not happy at all with the way I was treated when I went to carls equipment to purchase a leaf bagger for my cub cadet ride on lawn mower. The sales person Sal sold me the bagger in a box with a piece missing , When I went back to the store to see what he could do for me , All he said was its out of his hands and that I have to call cub cadet for the part . The gentleman at Cub Cadet told me in a nice way that the sales person (Sal) at carls equipment was lying he's said to me that every box is checked and inspected before leaving the manufacturer. He also told me That the sales person at Carls Equipment should have got on the phone for me and taken care of this problem But he refused to he just more or less told me "It was my problem " I will never go to Carls Equipment ever again From now on I will go to Lopers if I ever need anything for my needs. They are friendly and The Sales Person is always helpful to call a manufacturer if I ever need help with something. read more

Very horrible customer service.... The little boy (not a man ) they have working there is disrespectful and have no home training... On May 31th, I went in looking to purchase a riding lawn mower but when asking for information, he would not let me speak... He will talk over me and when I asked to speak before I can say two words he will cut me off... Today I bought a hedge trimmer from Carl's. After 4 hours it stopped working. The engine ran but the blades wouldn't move. We brought it back and saw Sal the Sales Manager that sold it to me. He told me that he'd take it into service and look at it Monday or Tuesday. He wouldn't replace it because they are a service company but also wouldn't service it today or even have anyone look at it because the mechanic was working on a $10,000 machine and this was a $300 machine. After asking him if I didn't count he denied it. I said it sure sounded like it and he said well I guess I am!! I told him he lost a customer. One that's been using Carl's since 1988. He said I get 100 people coming in here a day so you don't matter!! I promptly told him his attitude towards me, customer sucks. He replied "so". I told him if he fixed it and charged me he could keep it. I got a full refund. I guess 31 years of customer loyalty counts for nothing with Sal. Never going back!!! read more

Horrible experience. I first purchased my Cub Cadet tractor at Carl's Equipment and after 5 years it wasn't running right, despite changing the oil, filter, spark plug, battery, etc. on a regular basis. After picking it up from my home, they said it would be 7-10 days until it was done; then it was 2 weeks...by the time I got it back, they kept it for over FIVE weeks. In addition, they changed the price for the work, failed to drop it off on the day they said they would and were abrupt and rude to speak to over the phone. When they finally returned my tractor it was filthy: covered in dust, sand, dirt, etc. They couldn't even bother to wipe it down for me. I feel so disappointed and angry I will never set my foot in their shop again. read more

Do not get your snow blower tuned up at this store. For $210.00 you will get a glorified oil change. It took 3 weeks to get it back and they had my wrong phone number and address even though they originally picked it up from my address. I changed my phone number with them for the past 3 years and they still have it wrong. I gave my right phone number when it was picked up, when I made the appointment to have it serviced. I got it back late because the excuse was "we didn't have your right phone number" I sent it in with only one blade turning. I got he blower back in Nov and used it in January. I did not check their shotty work and shame on me. The blade still didn't turn and the blower still ran rough. A whole $210 for a oil change and a machine that still wasn't working properly. I bought this from them originally. I asked the receptionist if they check the machine before returning it and she said yes and that Its my fault that it was running rough because there was fuel in it. I did not get it back with fuel. Very weird that It was my fault after paying all that money that it was not tuned up properly and to get a bad attitude. I'm so disgusted that I paid that type of money for a oil change. Carl's Equipment and Supply are con artists. They picked up my snow blower in November. Our complaint was that the blades did not turn. After two months they told us it was ready. We needed the blower to be dropped off and was told they would call us to tell us when they could schedule a drop off date. After another two weeks, we called again (they forgot about us) to get a delivery date. We finally got our snow blower back on February 1st. On February 10th it snowed. My husband went out to use it and the blades still did not work. It was like it had not been serviced at all. When we called the next day, we were met with a non caring, non apologetic response. We were told they would pick it up for free but whatever other work had to be done would be our responsibility to pay. Why do they not stand behind their work? Why don't they care about their customer's satisfaction? No answer- no clue. I would not recommend them at all. When you take money for a job you did not do that is stealing. Do not use Carl's Equipment. read more
