The store was busy, she was helping multiple people at once, and she still provided great service to me while also taking care of the gentleman waiting for his paint. She handled the situation professionally and was very helpful. The checkout experience was very different. I went to purchase lawn seed that had a yellow sale tag, and the tag also indicated Ace members would receive an additional $1 off. Based on that, I expected it to be a good deal. There were two people behind the counter. One person was helping another customer, and the other man behind the counter yelled "next customer," which felt unnecessary given the small size of the store. Maybe he was having a bad day, but the interaction felt dismissive from the start. When I approached, he asked if I was an Ace member, I entered my phone number, and he proceeded to charge me $11 over the sale price. I pointed out the yellow sale tag on the shelf, and he rudely pointed out that it was last week's sale, which could be seen by the 4/28 date in tiny print. Today is 4/29, so I understand the sale had ended, but the sale tags were still up. Honestly, I did not notice the small date, and I relied on the sale sign that was still posted. He did not honor the sale price and seemed annoyed that I even asked about it. I always thought Ace was more customer friendly, but this experience was disappointing. A simple acknowledgment, explanation, or courtesy adjustment would have made a big difference. Based on this interaction, I guess I will have to shop elsewhere.

I ordered a very large birthday present online, and decided to pick it up in a local store…read more Unfortunately, the stores closest to me did not have the item in stock, so I had to travel about 15 miles. Not too bad. The store is easy to spot from the road. Ample parking. I pulled right up in front, and a young male employee greeted me immediately. I gave him my online receipt, and he told me he would have my package out in about ten minutes. As I waited, three other staff members courteously greeted me and ensured I was being helped. I also saw numerous customers receiving direct assistance from other employees. The staff goes above and beyond the call of duty, and all seemed to be quite proactive and hands on. In this day and age where many employees avoid customers and are highly unmotivated, the approach of the Lowe's staff was welcome and refreshing. Less than ten minutes later the original gentleman who retrieved my order had my package in my car and I was ready to head on my way. Cordial and super speedy service. Highly recommended. I will be back.

Now I order a $600 lawn mover, it's confirmed and then delayed because they said they didn't have an uber or lift driver who wanted the assignment. Really, who could blame them. It's a 100lb box that's 4x3. What driver wants that. And WHY are uber drivers being used rather than LOWES delivery. I ordered from Stoneybrook and they tell me I need to call Commack for information. Once again I cancelled and went to ACE HARDWARE for this one. 2 hours later I got it delivered. Try calling the store... good luck with that. Never a pick up other than the automated system. And this is in the last 3 weeks. I didn't mention that 3 years ago same thing happened with a washer and dryer stackable that was a 4k purchase. They failed to deliver it and canceled it. When they called to tell me it was ready, the owner gave me an attitude and said he didn't even know why his technician took it in. He acted like it was somehow my fault and then told me to "get this thing out of here ASAP," which I did not appreciate. When I picked it up the next day, I was charged for an oil change and a spark plug that I never approved. They charged me $25 for a spark plug, even though I had just bought one the day before and planned to install it myself. The repair had nothing to do with the engine, so I don't understand why those services were performed without asking me first. I paid the bill and left because I didn't want to argue. After getting home, I noticed a bolt was completely stripped. I called them, and they told me to bring it back. When I returned, the owner looked at it with me, but then the technician who worked on it came out with an attitude and claimed the bolt was already stripped. I know it wasn't. In my opinion, if a bolt gets stripped during a repair, it should be replaced rather than left that way. What really bothered me is that the repair bill was over $400, yet they couldn't be bothered to replace a simple stripped bolt. They had no problem charging me for services I never asked for, but apparently replacing a damaged bolt was too much to do. At that point, I was done dealing with the situation and started to leave. The technician followed me, yelling and asking what my problem was. I told him I didn't appreciate his attitude, and he continued being argumentative. It was extremely unprofessional. To make matters worse, after I got home the second time, the machine would not start at all. Overall, I had a very poor experience due to the lack of communication, unauthorized charges, poor workmanship, and unprofessional customer service. I would not recommend this shop.

Time for another trip to PC Richard's for a née one. The washer has outlived it's life expectancy for might as well make it a package. Our salesman was a little older man. Very nice, but I'll just leave it at that. Our purchase was in August and we were promised a two week delivery. Two weeks, no delivery. I kept calling but kept getting put off. This past Sunday we made a trip to the store, and I'm ready for a throw down. I want a manager and I want him now. Here comes Trevor. Very easy going and very understanding. It's all the supply chain issues due to Covid. I get it, but Trevor made no excuses. After checking with the warehouse he says "Mid December but I wouldn't count on it". Now what? Trevor goes to work checking inventory on all washers dryers. While he's checking he politely asks us to look at their models and maybe we'll see something else. Also sends another salesman, Michael, to help us. They come up with a slightly better model and Trevor works as much magic as he can to keep the price as close to the original. Bonus, it will be delivered on Wednesday, thats today. Yes three days after this fiasco Trevor, with an assist from Michael, have solved our problem. Washer and dryer were delivered today, hooked up and are Looking and working great. Thank you Trevor and Michael for the save. You have restored our love for PC Richard's.

When I was documenting the damage, the delivery person made a dismissive comment about the front door being easier to use. I clarified that he never asked to use the front door, but he insisted otherwise, which was untrue. Most of the damage occurred while maneuvering the appliances down the basement stairs. Additionally, during installation, the washer hose snapped and caused water to spray everywhere. The delivery person simply taped the hose instead of properly fixing it. At the end of the delivery, he asked me to sign on his phone, but I refused due to my dissatisfaction. Later, I received an email with a forged signature and a statement refusing responsibility for any damage claims made after signing, which I never agreed to. I contacted the store and was only offered a $200 refund or a replacement, with no extension of the warranty despite my concerns about the damage. I also expressed my discomfort with having their delivery team return, so I accepted the refund to avoid further damage. They provided a contact number for the house damage claim, but I remain unsatisfied with this resolution. To make matters worse, the delivery person called me on his personal phone after I filed my claim, asking why I reported the incident to the store. I explained all of the damage and how he forged my signature and all he said was, "Yeah..". Now I'm being harassed on top everything. This is outrageous!
