Never have I ever seen something or anyone so ridiculous and no understanding! TERRIBLE... Broken $1400 refrigerator from day one purchased Oct 13. Won't replace it, don't care we went through thanksgiving digging out of an ice chest and now maybe through Christmas too! Making up lies and stories and no one can keep them straight. I never knew this would ever be a possibility that a store won't replace a refrigerator that has not worked properly since day 1. They want us to wait for parts to come in but no one knows what the part is while some say the part doesn't even exist!! Time to replace it!!!! I'm in customer service and always the understanding one, but this place has serious issues and I'd advise no one to ever shop this place again! The lowes in chillicothe ohio are among the most rude I have ever had the misfortune of dealing with. Why can't they train these people. At least a modicum of customer service would be a huge benefit. They actually go out of there way to either avoid the customer or, they are so rude to you that you don't even want to be there anymore. Having issues with a samsung dryer we just purchased. We've purchased several appliances from this store before without issue. This time we've had a stackable Samsung washer/dryer delivered and the dryer was making a "weird sound". The drum inside seemed to be scraping the exterior housing of the unit. We called and they brought us a new one. We are having the same problem with the new one as well. Samsung came out to repair it and said that the frame was damaged during delivery. We didn't notice a dint in the bottom rear corner of the unit. Samsung wont cover that. We called Lowes.. They don't cover that. We called back Samsung... and that is where we are currently at. The cycle of calls trying to get someone to replace a brand new dryer. I will update this once we get to the end of this cycle. As of now, I am unsatisfied with the product I purchased and the service I am getting from Lowes. This is a new unit damaged during delivery. They should bring a replacement. read more

My wife and I ordered Blinds from Lowe's they gave us 2 different quotes. we told them the one we wanted they scheduled a measurement, he came out to measure. He measured it incorrectly so we had to reschedule. We came back a month later to order the blinds they lost the order and argued us about the pricing. Now we have it all settled and I'm up here trying to schedule a day for them to install them and no one in site. no one asked me if I needed help. I recommend if anyone needs blinds go somewhere else. Sheesh read more

Buyer beware for the contractor services. Overpriced. Poor service. Lack of coordination. Extended end time. So frustrating to be promised one thing and have it failed to be delivered because of something controllable. The quality and workmanship seems adequate. I won't complain there. Out of all surrounding Lowe's locations this one is the worst in regards to getting the help you need. It's always hard to find an employee to help when you need to purchase an appliance or toilet or something that requires assistance. The employees here are also not knowledgeable at all about their products. If you need to go to Lowe's, the Lancaster location is great. This one is iffy. read more

I've ordered curbside pickup three times since COVID-19 and they have all been an embarrassment to commerce. Orders take days to fulfill and then you call when sitting in your spot, and it takes another 45 minutes to get it to your vehicle. That is unacceptable. read more

This used to be my favorite all-around building and remodeling store. I spend on average $100,000 a year at this store. I have done numerous online orders. In the past when I arrived after placing it on line order it was always ready and waiting. The last four times I've placed online orders and arrive the next day to pick them oh they haven't even started pulling them yet. I don't know what's going on if it's the management in this store or if the company as a whole doesn't want to do online business anymore. There is a Menards store three minutes down the street if they don't get their crap together that's where I will be going in the future. read more

The changes that have happened at our local store are atrocious. The plants in the garden center are dying, there's not enough employees and everything seems so very disorganized now. I'm unsure of what happened. I've been a fan of Lowes since the mid nineties whenever Lowes came here. I spend about 2-3 days a week inside a Lowes store. I have a mid card YouTube channel and a lot of my supplies come from Lowes. Sometimes when I go for my walks, I'll just go to lowes and enjoy the beautiful garden center. This year has been very different for me. I am an observer and researcher by trade, so it's hard to pull a fast one on me. Poor cashiers at the beginning of spring being bombarded by customers with absolutely no backup. Lines rivaled Walmart's Black Friday lines with just one person dealing with it. Unacceptable. Just before Memorial Day, all of the flowers looked awful. They were wilted, brown, crunchy and dying. Definitely had not been watered in a few days. Funny enough, they overhauled it just for Memorial Day weekend for it to look awful again a week later. Who do you think you're fooling? Only one to two employees could be found in the entirety of the garden center when lines backed up for mulch. I watched one sole employee in one of the camo vests work tirelessly to help everyone without any other help. Unacceptable. The best part about Lowes at this point (from my perspective) is the delivery drivers. I've had nothing but great experiences with them. When they brought my stuff one time, I peaked in the truck as they were unloading and the amount of products these guys deliver is INSANE! So props to them. Regular employees have been nicer to me than some managers of departments. There's one woman in there around the back area who is incredibly rude to customers and employees alike! I wish I had caught her name and what department she works for. If I see that kind of behavior continue, I will press the issue with store management. It's wrong. Overall, I'm writing this review to hopefully set about some change. I can only hope. If this is an upper management issue, I hope it's dealt with. If this is a company wide thing, I hope if enough people speak up, change will happen. Please don't let Lowes die. I've had a lot of good memories at this store. It was my parents favorite place to shop. They are both deceased now, so sometimes when I go into store I'm walking down memory lane with my parents. Lately, I've just been frustrated when I go and have empathy for the employees who run themselves ragged for the customers when there's not enough help to go around. read more

This review is for the Lowes extended warranty backed by Factory Warranty Services. This is in regard to the Refridgerator noted in my earlier post of 2016. My Samsung Refridgerator, model number RF22K958 SG AA purchased 11/21/16. When it was a year old, the ice maker needed replaced. On Feb 4, 2019, the whole refridgerator stopped working. I called Lowes on Feb 5 who gave me the number for Factory Warranty Services, as we purchased the extended warranty. I called FWS and they were going to send out a repairman the next day. They also sent me a form to fill out our loss of food. On Feb 6 I got a call from Factory Warranty Services wanting me to describe the problem. I did. She said she would have to order parts BEFORE the repairman came. It would only be "a couple of days". I called again the 7th, 12th and was told "maybe the part is on the next truck" each time. I called today at 930 am and got a voice mail. I have not received any follow up calls. We have now been 11 days without a refridgerator! REALLY SAMSUNG? REALLY FWS? And Lowe's, you need to pressure this company to provide better services you are selling for them! I had to use this company years ago on a washer, and it took 6 weeks! I will not purchase SAMSUNG appliances again (my house is full of them) and I will never recommend Factory Warranty Services! read more

I just picked up an order I had placed on line and the counter I picked up at was the most unfriendly lady I have ever encountered in this store! Her name was Michelle and was working in returns. She was very unpleasant and never cracked a smile or looked at me when she was speaking to me. If I ever place another on line order.....I will take notice of the name tag....I have always been treated very nice at Lowes, but I will make sure I never have to put up with her again! If I could give them less than 1 star I would. We bought a fridge and stove from them. Our fridge had broken down so we were having to use coolers. That was only supposed to last two days until the fridge got delivered. The delivery guys brought the fridge and stove, we had to send the fridge back because they beat the hell out of it bringing it in and it got damaged. They would have just brought it the rest of the way if we hadn't stopped them and had them return it. We paid to have our old fridge and stove hauled away but outside of our house they made a deal with a guy who asked to buy the old fridge and stove and that guy took them away, that is after we helped them rip apart the old fridge because it wouldn't fit through the door. They got the new stove in place with our help but never leveled it. I also had to supply them with a tape measure and stool to use while moving things. They also removed a piece from our door frame and never replaced it. Two days later, on the day that we were supposed to get the replacement fridge the guy said he would be there in 10 minutes. An hour and 45 minutes later he was not there. I was supposed to return to work after the delivery and luckily was able to make arrangements to call off the rest of the day. The delivery guy called once and phone rejected the call, they left no message and would not answer the multiple times we tried to call back. We finally called Lowe's to find out where the delivery drivers were with our property and find out that they were stuck behind a train that had been stuck on the tracks. I saw this train stuck on the tracks since it is right by our house. I figured that is what was stopping them however the train had been gone for a while now. They never would have called us if we hadn't called. They then tell us that they had to reschedule for tomorrow, not even asking if tomorrow was ok. Wish we never went to a Lowe's and I will never return there for anything again. They are obviously a useless business who doesn't give two shits about their customers. The contractor (from Gallipolis) used by Lowes is horrible. It's been almost a year and I still have drywall that was not repaired in a closet. Two LED can lights were added to the bathroom and the lights flicker. I really enjoy the smell of sewer gas and the leaky toilet on the new ceramic tile. The shower head has little pressure and the shower head pipe moves if you try to adjust the shower head. Still have water leaking under the new vanity. My three year-old niece could have done a better job painting. These things were noted during the final walk-through with Lowes staff, but are yet to be remedied. I also discovered an extra marble vanity side splash that I was billed for, even though it wasn't used. Since it was special order it can't be returned because it has been more than 30 days since it was ordered. Be warned. Do not use the Chillicothe Lowes for your renovation work until they get a new contractor. read more

This was, years ago, one of my absolutely favorite stores! I've spent tens of thousands there over the years as I've remodeled my home, and in the side business of real estate investments. Now, I ONLY go there because they are close to my current project. I'm in a BAD MOOD by the time I leave there because it's almost impossible to get help, let alone competent help. One guy, in the millwork/doors area actually ROLLED HIS EYES as I walked up to him just to ask a question where something was located...and he wasn't even busy at that moment! I'm not a problem to them. Never been a rude or impatient customer. It's not my nature to be impatient or confrontational or unreasonable. It's a horribly run store, and whenever I have the chance to go ANYWHERE else, I do so, as Lowe's of Chillicothe is the LAST store I want to do business in! read more

Long time shopper, multiple locations. I've primarily shopped at Columbus South High location and Chillicothe, OH. I've remodeled a few homes from both locations. I'm about to remodeled the another. One thing I've consistently observed from both locations - something that would be helpful for all concerned: all Lowes I've shopped staff their professionals during the workweek and the non-professionals or newbies tend to work nights and weekends. Don't get me wrong, I've had great customer service from cashiers and department employees during off hours but as a rule you're on your own during evenings and weekends. They will get your large items for you during these periods but most often, they won't. During the week a different environment when professionals are arriving daily expecting service. One thing really irritated at the South High location, there's a wholesale store just off of 62 & 3 of 270, I had previously purchased 17 square of vinyl siding from there through my brither in law. He's a contractor. It been a while now, but the price then was $20 a square, Lowes price then? $75 square. I went to Lowes as I needed a little more and didn't wanted to bother my brother in law. Lowes did not have it in stock but would let me go to the wholesale place to get it. This is their mark up on this particular vinyl siding. I was very annoyed by this. Don't get me wrong companies need to charge enough to make ends meet but 200% mark up for me to run a get it is deplorable. Keep this in mind - managers can and often do mark down prices to meet or slightly exceed their competition if you can prove it or you're convincing enough. I only purchase what I absolutely need these days, prices have climbed and they collude with other hardware stores if not directly then they watch each others ads and mark up accordingly what the market will bear. Gone are the days of competition - get what each will pay. Minimum mark-up on everything in the store is 100%, this is the untold secret of sales and they feel they entitled to at least that - more if they can get it. It's not their money - at least not until the transaction is over. read more

Horrible. I placed an order online to pick up at the store, received call it was "pulled and ready to pick up". I went to get out and couldn't get anyone to help me. Finally customer service called for assistance to pull the item, told me to go outside and pull car up and they'd load it. Twenty minutes later and after watching others go in and out with their items I was done. Called into the store and cancelled the order. read more
