I went to the blue home improvement store which was further away than the orange home improvement store to mix things up a bit. Needing a three position spigot adapter I figured "it's probably in plumbing", but deciding to inquire first to a pumpkin looking lady (Twas Halloween Day), I was redirected to the Garden area and she didn't pressure me for a Lowes credit card which was wonderful. I gotta get on the horse and speak about the morale a bit, pumpkin lady was sweet but the fellow with the flare vest wasn't pleasant. He was an experienced older fella, as he low glided within the ferns in an effort to evade me however I rounded around anticipating his next move and caught up with him at the potted annuals. Everywhere I go, flowers and plants seem to talk to me and I always want to be in the garden with all of them. As expected, he was curt and rudely unhelpful, responding to my question while walking away. With three people in the entire store, I'd have thought his question receiving bank would have still had availability. They had two positions adapters and a brass four position with line level On / OFF switches and I think about corporate and 1984 and how I feel as the CEO Big Brother stares into my face and soul on the Lowe's Channel thru the large orb ornaments hung high upon the large selection of Christmas trees, on Halloween! Christmas trees are be ring sold on Halloween Day and Christmas song came up on my radio the very next day. How strange - to have a two and a four but not a three. So I bought both the two and the four and the price was thirty three thirty three which was weird but a fun and odd Halloween checkout moment. read more

WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!!!!! They have the dumbest employees -- nobody knows anything, and can not give you an answer to a reasonable question. Ordered a patio set from them for $870. Could not change the order from pick up to delivery. Called 4 times, and ended up driving down there to speak to a Manager. Also they sent delivery notifications to my deceased husband's email account, even though I told them 10 times that he was deceased and to delete his email address. BUYER BEWARE!!! Yesterday stop by ACE for a blue box to replace and instal my smoke detector. They have a black one that the employee show me as the "correct one". Arrive at home to try it out. Did't fit, ab.1 inch to long once a metal bar behide doesnt move.Conclusion: wrong box. Went this morning at Lowes looking for the correct blue box. The employee show me the same black one, 1 inch longer and insist that it is the correct one...all is need is move the metal bar by side...Try it out. Doesn move! Question: why retail stores managers motivate employees to tell customers anything to sell their merchandise ,without any knowledge of the real facts? Every time I try to do a project myself, in order to save money ( retired), I lose time and money buying the wrong thing, even double check the info with employees of 2 retail chains...Conclusion: will have to call a handman or electrical contracter, and pay a lot for a simple task, because can not find the correct "blue box"! read more

Lowe's is one of the three home improvement type stores we go to depending on what we need and which store has the items in stock. This Lowe's is pretty standard. It is a large store with a good sized garden center. We have shopped in most departments and have never had any issue with service. You may have to walk to find a person but they have always been nice. They aren't contractors so you have to do your research before you get here. As it's been everywhere else, inventory can be low. They say they've had issues getting some things in because of Covid-19. It can be a pain but I still like to support our local stores. I do recommend Lowe's Home Improvement Store and we will return to Lowe's. They do carry much of the items we need. read more

I am a Commercial Contractor and honestly not normally a fan of Lowe's. However I will specifically drive further passing Home Depot to come to this store because of one Employee; Brad was working in Lighting/Bulbs and helped me with exactly what I needed and helped me find everything efficiently and he was also knowledgeable in anything I asked him about the store and the location of items. He stuck with me until I told him I had everything I needed and was good to go. He then checked over my selected setup and identified the bulbs I picked would work but may not be the hue I wanted, he was right and saved me a trip back costing me more time and money. Brad is the man and I very much look forward to him being there next time I need something. Thank you Brad for taking Pride in what you do and you are by far the best Lowes employee I have ever dealt with. Went to buy a dishwasher, they have an excellent selection which me and my wife totally enjoyed. We picked a Bosch 800 model. The salesman Michael Peterson was very professional and knew his inventory very well. Delivery came the next day as promised. The delivery men were the best I ever encountered. Thank you. Now for the complaint, after a wonderful buying experience, I went into Lows again and asked someone in building supply where are your mobile home tie down anchors? No one in building supply knew that answer! So I left the store, went home, got on line and found the tie down anchors in your building supply dept. you have 20 in stock! Ordered Bali vertical panel window treatments and 2 reviews: the Bali panels are paper thin with no weight to fall properly when closed. They are junk. Dont buy them. 2nd: the side controls were not the same. We had to order a new track with the right controls to match the other window. Also, when the installer changed it out he didnt put a guide on the wall like the one which was initially installed. So window #1 perfect and window #2 a nightmare getting it right. My advice - pay the extra $$$ and have an Independent company sell and install. read more

This is quite possibly the worst Lowe's I've ever been in. Waited in flooring for more than 30 minutes for assistance. Had to walk to paint and customer service desk in order to have someone call for assistance, multiple times, where are their employees!?!? I called the store and pushed whatever number for flooring and stood by the desk and heard the phone ring and ring. I then called the store manager who said he'd have someone come right over, oh ok, after speaking with him it took another 10 minutes for an employee to actually show up. Placed an online order for gutter/shingle clips for holiday lights. Store inventory indicated aisle of in stock item plus inventory on hand in store. All fine. Order placed Dec 2 - response from Lowes was it was being processed. Dec 3 status check on order stated we are processing your order. Spoke with online sales for Lowes and they stated it also was being processed and to wait for confirmation email before going to store. Called the store to verify - after 16 minutes of the call ringing I was placed in hold without anyone picking up the call. Now at 4pm almost a day after placing the order my email has a cancelled order stating the the item is NOW OF OF STOCK. What deplorable service from Lowes. I will Never shop online with this store again - beware buyers maybe better to pass online orders all together and just go to the closest box store to fulfill your needs. Lesson learned read more

On to flooring to order and invoice and was sent back to customer service to pay. Waiting at all 3 locations was about an hour. We purchased a whole house generator in April of 2021 from Lowes. They told us it probably wouldn't be installed by the 2021 hurricane season. It is now May of 2022 and the generator still isn't installed and Lowes doesn't seem to be in any hurry to correct the issue. read more

Thinking of applying for a job here - only if you like working with idiots. The managers are rude and have no time to talk to you. I went in here and dropped off my resume with 30 years experience. Was told to come back at the job fair next week. I came and was told that job was already filled. I spoke to Amy who was rude to me and told me too bad. Walking out I spoke to Lenny who walked me to the front of the store to speak to the manager who refused to speak to me. Lenny told me he cant be bothered to talk to me! Then he told me he was a manager as well (clearly he wasn't - title was not on his name tag so he lied to me) Then he told me to call 800-444-Lowes to complain - which is a wrong phone number so he lied to me again and didn't give me the proper phone number. I asked to get the information of the district manager and he stuck his nose up at me and walked away. The disrespect and ignorance of the staff here is terrible. When you go to the Lowe's website to order, you see in big letters "buy today pick up today." that is an absolute lie. I ordered some composite tiles for a new patio I'm having built. Lowes gave me a delivery date of two days after I ordered. I even took a day off from work so I could be home when it arrived. The shipment never came. I went online to track my order and come to find out it was being shipped from California and I'm in Maryland. I tracked my package every day and every time it was at a different location. First California, then Illinois, Ohio, Pennsylvania and finally Maryland. once it got to Maryland it stayed at that location for five days. When my shipment finally arrived after two weeks, I was at work. I got a rude text from someone named James saying he is at my house with my delivery and he can't bring it in the house or break it down. the tiles were on a pallet and weighed 2000 pounds. He said he knocked on the door to see if I wanted him to leave it at the bottom of the front steps or in the alley in back of my house or in my parking spot on the street. He also said if he didn't hear from me in the next 10 minutes it'll be sitting in my parking spot on the street. I live in the city where there are multiple people walking and driving up and down the street. Anyone could have stopped and taken my building materials which cost me almost $2000. I had to call my contractor and thank God he was available, and leave work to rush home to protect my purchase. My contractor and his crew got my tiles safely to my backyard. I really like the tiles. They are exactly what I was hoping for, but the customer service and delivery experience was the worst I've ever had. I usually shop at Home Depot but Lowe's had a larger variety of patio tiles so I ordered from them. Lesson learned. I will never shop at Lowe's again. I have always had excellent customer service experiences with Home Depot and I apologize to them for going elsewhere. I went online to look at Lowe's reviews on sitejabber.com, and a large majority of them where 1 star with an average of 2.79 stars out of over 1400 reviews. Went in looking for item #1525319 (wood wall planks). Website advised there were 31 boxes in the store. I called and confirmed prior to driving in to make sure; was told yes they are in stock. When I got there I found the bin totally empty. First employee told me they were out. When I told him the site showed 31 boxes in stock, he seemed annoyed. He got another employee to confer about where they could be then walked off to look for them. After "looking" for 5 minutes, I was told they could not find any boxes. Said they were in the store somewhere but they could not find them then asked for my phone number to call me when they found them. That was two days ago. Are you kidding me????? The installer was horrible, after Lowe's lost our expensive custom painted front door, now after installation it's sagging and dragging into the frame. This was not an inexpensive endeavor as our entire door frame had to be rebuilt. Now we can't get anyone to come out and fix it. They keep referring me to their contractor who is not returning calls. I should not have to chase the contractor that they selected to have this door fit correctly. I will be escalating this to regional, state and corporate levels. I ordered a washing machine online during the Black Friday sales. As expected I received an email confirmation with a deliver window of between 8AM and 8PM the following Friday. I was a little put off by being giving a 12 hour window but I went with it. I took the day off and stayed home, expecting a truck to arrive. I never received an email or a call indicating there was a delay - but by 4PM I had heard nothing so I called. First off, the local store in Bradenton who was sending it to me - never picks up their phone. Not the delivery desk, not the appliance desk, nobody. I called the 800 number and after about an hour of researching, I was told that the unit was oversold and was not going to be delivered today, and most likely would never be delivered. The did not offer me another similar unit, or anything other than a refund and a 10% discount on a future order. (A future order?!? - As if I would ever consider ordering from them in the future?) The biggest issue I have is that I received a confirmation and then NO SUBSEQUENT UPDATES OR EMAILS indicating there was an issue with inventory or delivery. Unbelievable! read more

I was at Lowes yesterday and was struggling with bags of mulch and egg rock when a young man named Brayan came along and asked if he could help me. I was so appreciative as I am an older woman and have problems lifting things. He placed my items on my cart and took the cart up front. He then loaded my truck up and I want to tell you at Lowes - what a wonderful young man. He also loaded up two other cars while I was there. I go to Lowes all the time for my supplies and usually no one helps me. Last week at the Cortez store a young male employee watched me struggle with mulch and stone and never once came over to help. I was loading my truck up in the parking lot and a fellow customer ran over and helped me. I love the 52nd Street store as the employees seem much more helpful. Thank you, Brayan......... read more

Either no notification of the delivery, or being notified of a delivery when the product is not in stock. i am a new customer and so far got the run around. I ordered and paid for a window and the delivery date was set for two weeks ahead now four and counting. No apology. I also went into the store early on a Monday morning and tried to find out when the window would be in. There was no-one in the department just another customer waiting who said he had been there 30 minutes and they could not find anyone to help him. While walking around the store waiting I found a riding mower I liked but again could find no-one to help. When I got home I called about the mower and they said they were busy and would call me back. No call back. I have tried for a week to call the window department to check on the status and I get shuttled from one department to the other and eventually the line goes dead. Bad customer service. It started as I tried to walk into the store. I was pushing a cart along cement pathway to main doors to enter store and the Rino gas tank service technician would not stop loading his gas tanks for one second to let me pass. I had already dumped my cart thinking he would just let me pass easily. Instead I stood within a foot of him as he continued to load 5 more gas tanks into the racks. When he finished unloading his tray of tanks he told me to take a different route. I went to the customer service desk to pick up an internet order. The email I received from Lowe's indicated I should present my ID. I did that and the rep said she needed the order number from the email. It took me 4 seconds to pull up the email but she had already left me to go help the person behind me in line. read more

This review is not about Lowe's itself but about the 'Rip-off' insurance they sell as extended warranties. I purchased a Troy-Built push mower in April 2011 and was offered an extended warranty 'that covers everything'. I used the lawnmower 11 times over the following summer. For the next 2 years I used a lawn mowing service instead. This year I went to use the lawnmower but it leaked gasoline everywhere. I called up the warranty service and they scheduled an appointment for repair. The bill comes to $90.00 but the repair is not covered because they said it is a carburetor issue and that is not covered. Huh... A primary component on an engine that goes bad after running the engine on gasoline, not covered? Warranties are a rip-off if they don't cover failures that occur from normal use. Bad on Lowes. Bad on the warranty company. Bad on me for buying a warranty without understanding that the primary components of an engine are not covered. I would understand if it was parts that I broke because of abuse, like the pull cord or wheels, but the carb..... If 0 stars could be awarded, that's what this warranty deserves and that's what Lowes deserves for this transaction that they felt good enough to sell to me. read more

This is NOT a review of the Bradenton Store. This is a review of my experience with the company. Lowe's is a nightmare to deal with. Their processes are broken and it's impossible to reach anything but a robot to share my experiences. I ordered an expensive dishwasher online, to be delivered to the Bradenton store. After completing my order nothing happened other than that I was billed the full amount. It took a month of painful mornings on the phone, mostly listening to their labyrinth of robots asking me to press this or that, to track down the dishwasher. And then things just got worse. They missed two delivery dates at my house, which resulted in my wife and I hanging around all day for a delivery that didn't show up. They inaccurately billed me. They lost my extended warranty application. And much more. I do want to say that on those rare occasions that I actually talked to a human they were very professional and thoughtful. So, in summary, I believe that they have good people but their processes are severely broken. I will not do business with them again and I suggest that you take my experiences to heart. read more

I bought a storage system for my garage and thought something was missing from the box. I went into the store and they took the "missing" parts out of another box and gave them to me. They also refunded in full and the sold me the same item but at the discounted price that had just gone into effect. Two days later I discovered the "missing" parts had gotten up under a cabinet in the garage and I took them back to the store to be placed in the box that was going to be returned to the manufacturer. They took in the parts and thanked me. No hassle, no stress, just good service. read more
