I purchased a dryer from Lowe's and paid extra for professional installation, expecting the job to be done right. Unfortunately, the installers did a poor job: they incorrectly wired the dryer, which caused it to trip the circuit breaker repeatedly. Even worse, they left behind a stripped screw on the terminal block, making it harder for me to correct the issue myself. I had to troubleshoot and fix the wiring myself, which completely defeats the purpose of paying for installation. This was not just inconvenient -- it was potentially dangerous. Purchased a dishwasher online on Black Friday (Nov 29). Website posted 'Same Day Pickup.' Order was never fulfilled by Lowe's. After a week, called and was told they had none in stock. Said there were 4 in Aiken, SC. They transfered the order to the Aiken store. After 3 days, called & Aiken didn't have any in stock! I am completely disgusted by Lowe's. Then the number for curbside was deliberately incorrect so we had to look up the number and the Customer service put the phone on us twice wow really really poor service, especially for the people doing the right thing. I bought a dryer from Lowe's on 7-29-20. Less than 90 days ago. And my issue is weeks-old now . I've talked to what feels like a million Samsung reps and 1 case manager. Next step is either directly to Samsung or another 900 case managers, I guess. I hope Samsung reviews my case and makes this right. It's crazy that my dryer is being ruled an installation issue when it wasn't even installed when the Samsung tech got to my house. The dryer was sitting in my kitchen, completely out of the laundry room. We unplugged it because the power wouldn't work and we thought that keeping it plugged in could probably cause issues... common sense, right? Even if the dryer had been installed, the inside vent was missing, which is what caused all the inside heat to kill the power box... I don't understand why I have to fight so hard for a manufactures issue that seems like it could easily be resolved. Even if they came to my house to change the power box and put a vent in I'd be happy... but so far both Lowe's and Samsung have refused to take responsibility for this. And they've trained their service techs to avoid all responsibility as well. This just sucks I have paperwork showing that the vent is missing and I have recorded phone calls where the Samsung reps can obviously see that an installation issue was not present but a unit issue was. It would be incredible if they could just refund/exchange this so I can have a dryer and not worry about this anymore. read more

I stopped here to exchange a few items that I purchased from another location. It was a couple of hours before the store closed, but was only one cashier to check people out. Which kinda sucked because I found out that I had to go to customer service even if I was purchasing another item totally separate from the exchange. (Sad face). Caveat emptor! NEVER ever buy any appliance from Lowe's! They sold us a broken, heavily USED dryer and advertised as "floor model". The appliance manager Pam was very cavalier and could have cared less that we wasted $600.00 on a Samsung dryer. I asked to speak to the General Manager of Lowe's Home Improvement on Bobby Jones Expressway in Augusta, Georgia, but he was presiding over a company meeting at 4 PM on a Friday afternoon...afraid to talk to me. The whole sordid sorted story started a little more than one month after purchasing the dryer. After Samsung came out to repair it was discovered the Unit was missing the inside vent (from motor to outside of dryer) and subsequently fried the electrical panel. Now that it's a 100% positive not an installation issue neither Lowe's or Samsung will refund money or at least give a store credit. This is the undeniably one of the biggest scams I've ever been a victim of- unbelievable! read more

The worst customer service I have ever experienced. My wife and I bought a brand new fridge here and have dealt with problems every step of the way. We are now at the point that we are supposed to have a voucher for a new fridge. I have called this store multiple times to confirm and all I get is transferred, and the phone rings and rings. I'm only giving this store two stars because I had good customer service when I bought the actual products, the delivery process has been horrible! No communication whatsoever, I have sat around all day (with 3 kids and no furniture yet) and have had no delivery or phone call of when they were going to be here. I called the store at 4:45, just to find out that the delivery person went home for the day. After waiting over 15 minutes to speak to the assistant store manager Martha, I had no closure to the whole situation and was not made to feel the I was valid in being upset. I am a very patient person, but the lack of communication from the store and their employees has been horrible! I will not be recommending this to anyone, and will be contacting someone higher to voice my concern for the lack of work ethic this store has. read more

I'd much rather come here than some of the competitors down the street for the selection, knowledge and ease of maneuvering through the aisles. I once had a really bad Sunday where I went back 4 times in 3 hours all in an effort to put a new lock on a door. You think it'd be a simple little switch but not when the door is over 30 years old and the previous lock has been practically welded into the door. What's a girl to do? Sandpaper? Check. Dremel? Check. Blowtorch? Let's do it! Longer mechanical screws? Why not. And a sander for the warped door? I'm on a roll here people! The nice lady behind the register did the best she could to not giggle at my face which I appreciated. She finally asked why I didn't just get a new door. "Honestly, I'm so invested in this one right now. I just can't give in." She nods and says "I understand." You just can't get that kind of empathy from all home improvement places I tell ya. read more

My fiancé and I go to this location all the time, and usually we have a great experience with the staff. Today, however, we received the worst customer service I have ever experienced. We had a few items from the garden section and a few items from inside, so we went to check out inside. The cashier was extremely rude and got mad that our outside items didn't have barcodes, like it was our fault?? She refused to call the garden section or look up the items, like the cashiers usually do. She then refused to check us out and made us go to the garden section. She was incredibly rude through the entire interaction, to the point that everybody around us was staring at her. We will be finding a different location to go to now, so this location lost a regular costumer. read more

They hit the target for service on Christmas night! Time: Dec 24th, 2009 @ 5:52PM (8min before closing time on Christmas) Situation: Needed a top quality stainless steele gas BBQ grill... ASAP! Details: After many trips, (and wasted time), to other stores in the Augusta area we could not find the grill we were looking for. Ready to give up, my daughter suggested Lowe's on Bobby Jones. I floored it! (not breaking the speed limit of course). Richie and other associates were there to greet us with a smile and more than happy to help. Knowing they had to bring the lift back up front to get the package, and knowing they probably really wanted to get to their families on Christmas with just minutes to go before closing, they gave us awsome service observing ALL safety precautions in retrieveing the product located on the very top of the shelving system. For that, our family is extremely grateful. We have always had great customer service from this store, but Christmas night was the true test. RESULT: A better product at a LESS EXPENSIVE price BEFORE my 10% military discount with right-on-time selfless service. Again, thanks. read more

One cashier talked with her back to me and then had the audacity to snatch the receipt out of the machine and actually hand it to me over her shoulder while she continued her conversation with the cashier behind her. Where do I begin with this abomination of the Lowe's staff? Everyday my in store pickup item is pushed back an extra day. Anytime I call to retrieve the status I'm greeted with a rude and unwilling person on the phone. They proceed to think I'm to blame for their daily issues and speak to me as if I should know more about my product status than them. I have received nothing but condescending answers from the in store pickup department every time I've called, and trust me there have been plenty of calls/opportunities to get a different demeanor from them. Absolutely THE WORST customer service I have ever experienced in my life! (And I'm in my 60's). I purchased an LG washing machine and paid the $35 fee to have the old washing machine removed when they delivered the new one. The old machine was in separated into 2 parts to remove - the exterior of the machine and the interior. The 2 delivery drivers did take the interior part of the old machine outside but as I watched from inside I noticed they were just going to dump it on the side of the road in front of our house instead of putting it in the truck to haul it away! So, as they were getting in the truck to leave, I went outside to inform them that I had paid the fee to have the old machine taken with them. One of them said, "Oh I didn't see that on the sheet." However, when I offered to show him my receipt where I had paid to have it removed he said "he didn't need to see it" ...he knew it was supposed to go. So they reluctantly opened the back of the truck back up and put that part of the washing machine in to be hauled away. Again, from inside my house, I could see they were closing the truck up again and preparing to leave without getting the rest of the washing machine that was still inside the house. So I went out again and reminded them that they still needed to get the rest of the machine they left in the house. They said, 'Yeah, sure, we'll be right in to get it'. I went back in the house and told my husband it's 50/50 whether they actually come and get the rest of the machine. Sure enough, they slammed down the back of the truck and jumped in as fast as they could practically squealing the tires to get away. My husband wouldn't let me go out to stop them a third time...probably concerned for my safety. So we were still left to carry the half of the machine they left in the house, lift into the bed of our truck and now my husband will drive it to the dump. And that was AFTER they had initially called telling us that they were on their way and would be there in 30 minutes. Two hours later they arrived, which I didn't have a problem with...we were even VERY nice about that. But the disrespectful way in which they were just going to dump the old washer in front of my house on a roadway (!) when they knew it was to be hauled off AND THEN to purposely lie and speed off was JUST UNBELIEVABLE!!!!!!! What kind of company would have numb-sculls like that working for them?!? NEVER, I REPEAT NEVER AGAIN WOULD I PURCHASE ANYTHING FROM LOWES in Martinez. read more

This may be the worse store I have gone to it had to deal with. It seems every time I call the store to make sure they have something in stock I am told yes but when I order it or drive to get it, the item is sold out. The employees are just to lazy to go check and see of the item is on site. It has happen to me with yard blocks, toilets, light fixtures and a dishwasher. My water heater gave up the ghost and I needed a new one with all the appropriate tubing and extra bought. I sent my father on the mission to acquire everthing as I had to work. My dad started at a competitor and got no help wasting half an hour. He took a trip up the street to this location. After speaking with my father on the phone about which water heater to get, as the position of the pressure relief valve was in question, I was reassured by the fact that my dad had an associate by the name of Luke who he said would make sure that he would leave with everything he needed. I know lowes can feel sparce as far as employees at times but its people like Luke that will keep me coming back to this location. read more

This is the "good" Lowes of the area. Worth the extra couple of minutes from Grovetown. The employees here go the extra mile.

Caveat - I've also bought a lot of building supplies here and have no problem with that part of the store. That said, I would NOT use Lowes for any contracting projects. They will quote it and the store's customer service is friendly, but the actual management is by an off-site office in North Carolina who are completely incompetent. Paid for a fence in late September, 3/4 was completed within 3 weeks, but now (early January), after 5 further small material deliveries (where they ordered the wrong stuff repeatedly) the job still is not done and I have no idea if it ever will be. I get a call every 2 or 3 weeks from a well-meaning incompetent who tells me when the next delivery will come in, but 4 months later I still don't have a fence, I am still out many thousands of dollars, and I haven't been able to get into my garage in months since they're using the driveway for free storage of fencing supplies. Nastiest restroom I have been in for a long time. When there are 5 stalls and all are covered in urine and feces, someone is neglectful. I left. We were shopping for a new refrigerator at Lowe's Store #0482 during an extended 30% off sale. Sam was great help making sure the refrigerator we wanted was in stock and could be delivered the very next day, morning or evening, our choice. We purchased the Samsung RF28HMEDBSR. Our delivery guys called at 8:30 am next day saying they were on their way. They arrived in a timely manner and they were perfectly professional and EXTREMELY skilled. Willie Norman and Brandon Smart were the best delivery guys ever. This is a really big fridge and they did everything possible to make sure our counters, countertops, floors and cabinets were never damaged. There were some very tight squeezes. Just excellent delivery people. Highly recommended. read more

We shop here all the time and will continue to do so. However, we were in need of a new hvac system and as we all know that's a very expensive item. So I called to get someone to come out to give us an estimate and that's when the issues started with this store. First, you can never get anyone to answer the phone when customer service pages them. Second, when they do answer all they can do is take your number and have someone call you to set up an appointment. Now here we sit a week later with them having our number 4 times and not a single person calls to set up that appointment for us to get a new hvac system. Seems Lowes either doesn't need our money it doesn't want it, one or the other. Again, we will continue to shop here but not for the big ticket items. If they change things and actually get someone there that will call you back then maybe we could recommend them for big items but not until then. I purchased a 3-year extended service plan on a Troy-Bilt rider mower a year ago. Since that time, I've found that in order to get in touch with the provider of warranty service you have to wait for over an hour to even speak to someone who is even marginally qualified to understand your problem. It doesn't matter whom you speak to because, no matter what's wrong with the mower, It's not covered. F'rinstance, Troy-Bilt (MTD, really) considers any carburetor problem to be the result of owner neglect. Today the shift lever knob fell off and wound up in the path of the blade, thus creating a shower of plastic confetti. This too, I was informed, wasn't covered because the warranty is for electrical and mechanical problems even after I explained that the knob was attached through a pressure fit, i.e., a mechanical connection. I gave up on the warranty after the abuse of being transferred from one lummox to another and called the local Lowe's in Evans, GA and spoke to a delightful young lady named Leilani who works in the Seasonal/Outdoor Equipment Department. I drove over to the store and she was waiting for me with the knob and a smile. Moral: Don't waste your money on warranties but Lowe' s performed wonderfully in this instance. read more

We purchased a new lawn mower at this location a few months ago, it failed within the 1st week so we returned it and purchased a replacement warranty when we got the new one, or so we were told it was a replacement warranty. The employee told us that if we bought the plan we could just come back and exchange it for a new one at any time as many times as we needed and didn't have to waste time having it repaired under the manufacturer's warranty. So, with that we figured it would be worth the money for the warranty. The replacement mower has now failed and when we went in to get the replacement, we were told they didn't replace only repaired, BUT if it couldn't be repaired then they would replace it one time. This is not what we were sold. The employee said whatever they had to, to Up-Sell the warranty. All retail employees are encouraged and pushed to up sell warranties and other items and are even rewarded for the more they sell. So, this is just another example of a company/employee making something sound better than what it is to get your money so they can make their up-sell quota or earn rewards. But it leaves US the customer out in the cold with a bad taste in our mouths for this company. Please do not do business with Lowe's. For every Lowe's there is a Home Depot across the street who has a year return policy on just about everything. This isn't the 1st problem we have had with Lowe's and they never try to fix the issue or apologize. Home Depot will go out of their way to make sure you are happy; Lowe's just doesn't care about its customers. We spend thousands a year in home improvement stores, but Lowe's will never get another dollar from us. They shouldn't get yours either. read more

I received unsatisfactory customer service during my visit to Lowe's to purchase three appliances. I asked the woman working in the appliance area for some help on the dimensions on a few refrigerators. Instead of answering my question and assisting me she became very defensive in her response as if it was an inconvenience for her to perform this simple task. She rolled her eyes at me and spoke to me with an attitude. I didn't bother asking about the washer and dryer we were looking to purchase as well and just left the store. I've never had problems shopping at any Lowe's but if this is how customers will be treated at this store when trying to make a major appliance purchase, I will be happy to take my business elsewhere. read more
