I purchased a $700.00 washer. 1 1/2 years later the door on the washing machine indicated an error was detected in the door lock. I returned to Lowe's in person to ask about how they might help me. The Customer Service employee said, "Your warranty expired so you are shit out of luck." "We don't fix door locks." That was the extent of their customer service. read more

Abresta (hopefully, I spelled her name correctly) she helped us picked a washing machine, hoses for it and had few of the employees to load it on back of our truck. I talked with a representative online about ordering the led light that's inside the Harbor Breeze Mac 3 Easy hang. He said to contact my nearest Lowe's and they would special order the part super easy! I called. Customer service sent my call through 20 different people all asking where i needed my call to be transferred to, I kept saying "I need to special order a part for a harbor breeze fan" after waiting 45 minutes they finally got the electrical worker to talk to me. On his side of the call I heard him answer his own phone, give his birthday and then he abruptly hung up on me, after all that waiting and waiting and waiting he just hung up. No help at all and just a sad excuse of a worker and team to be honest. No one tried to help at all they just acted confused. Thanks for nothing. I was also in store the other day trying to find this part and I waited about an hour under the false premise that the "electrical worker" would be "here in just a sec." Also, I love Lowe's. I ordered a washer and dryer online and parts which were all available. Now they are telling me I have parts to pick up but the others will be delivered different days. I can't pick up as I can't drive! Knee surgery. I called and was transferred 4 times and told half was coming from 1 store and the washer they're waiting for? WTH? Hope to share my experience for future customers and what to expect from this location. My little brother and I came in the afternoon looking to make a pressure washing purchase. We spent probably an hour and a half asking questions to one of the super nice employees there. Questions such as what's GPM, PSI return policies, how much power needed to clean a drive way and more. After making our selection I asked her if we should buy the Lowe's warranty in case we needed to get a different one. She clarified there was no need because we had 30 days to return it if we didn't like it. We used the pressure washer once and decided we needed a bigger one and bought a more expensive one online from Lowe's. We then went to try and return it 4 days later when we had time and they told us it was passed the 48 hour return window. I tried explaining in person that we were under the impression that we had 30 days according to their employee. They said they couldn't help me but they gave me corporates number. Corporate also decided that even though their employee made a mistake by giving us wrong information they were still unable to return it past 48 hours. So even though I have documentation and video proof that I was at the store for over an hour clarifying the information before we bought it plus video of us only using the machine for maximum 3 minutes before realizing we needed a bigger one Lowe's are still unable to return the machine due to their mistake. Now I am stuck with a machine I will never use and have to return an even more expensive machine that I bought from Lowe's. This is why I only shop at Home Depot. Will never come back!!! read more

Do not purchase circuit breakers at lowes. When I tried to return some extras from a job they said they have a do not return policy on these and that it was posted in the aisle. She told me where to go and then saw my situation and nicely with a beautiful smile went and got a cart for me, moved the hose out of the way and I was off and running, well not literally. The employee at checkout an senior Woman was delightful, helpful and speedy to boot. I don't know what these other reviewers are smoking (?), but this is the best Lowe's in Albuquerque. It is located at I-40 and 12th Street in the North Valley (not in los ranchos, like it says). This location is the best in Albuquerque because: it has a full inventory; it has an extended out-door garden area; the employees are super-friendly; it has long hours; it has reasonable return policies; and it has plenty of well-lit parking. read more

Good place if you need to find a quick fixer-upper. Prices for some of the stuff aren't exactly cheap, but it is convenient.

We are in the middle of remodeling the entire second story of our house so let's just say we are spending a lot of money on home repair right now. We ordered two toilets online from Lowe's as part of the remodel and came to pick it up. When I walked in, I asked the guy at the Pro Services desk who I needed to talk to pick up my items since he wasn't busy and he rudely told me to go to customer service and couldn't I see that he was busy. Anyway, customer service was super friendly and helpful. They promptly got my order and loaded it up in my truck. Meanwhile, my husband and father-in-law got a ton of tile and all the supplies needed to tile the bathroom floor. The guy who helped us find it all for our contractor was super nice and fantastic! When we went to check out, it was the same guy from Pro Services who checked us out. Unfortunately, he had the same bad attitude. If we need more supplies, we'll probably go to another location to avoid the attitude. read more

My air conditioner has been out since early April. Unfortunately due to my sporadic schedule lately and the lack of decent maintenance around my complex it's been a long almost never ending struggle to get this third party maintenance company to get it fixed since then. The hotter it's gotten the more I've been keen to cave into getting one of those portable air conditioner units. As I went down the aisle to get an idea of what they had in stock at the store I couldn't help but notice how scarce the employees seemed to be around the place. Though for the most part the shelves were neatly stocked, I did notice a scattering range of carts and miscellaneous items in random places that they didn't belong in. After my initial attempt of trying to locate the portable air conditioners I resorted to trying to ask someone for help. As I searched around the area near the garden and outdoor air conditioning units I couldn't help but notice these 3 male associates assisting a highly attractive woman. I understand everyone needs help but I began to doubt this woman really needed that much help as she pushed an empty shopping cart? I continued around to find an associate around the place and ended up empty handed. I resorted to coming up to the customer service desk were they gave some direction where to go. I found a unit but wasn't quite what I was looking for so I left empty handed. As I walked back to my car I noticed the three male associates outside with the very same woman I saw earlier in the parking lot having a nice conversation completely unrelated to the store. I understand these times are challenging and every store is having its own staffing requirements but this Lowe's appeared to have a skeleton crew staff on duty with hardly anyone in sight to help customers so seeing three male employees fraternizing with a highly attractive female instead of doing their jobs just really sets a bad impression of the place. As much as I hate to leave a bad review I felt it needed to be addressed. read more

The wait time to get assistance is astronomical and the front desk just rolls their eyes. Do not go unless you know exactly what you want or you will definitely waste valuable time! I was extremely disappointed to see no enforcement whatsoever of public health orders the last time I went here. Half of customers and some staff not wearing masks, and unmasked customers talking right in staff members' faces. Completely unsafe environment during the pandemic and I hope management steps it up to at least make sure people are wearing masks when they come in. read more

Definitely not customer service oriented at this particular Lowe's location. During my trip I was returning a dryer because it was not working correctly and also looking for some parts for a washing machine. The lady at the customer service/returns desk did not seem to want to be bothered with us returning the dryer. We presented her with the receipt to return the dryer and all she would say is I need the dryer in the store to return the item. We knew that we just needed help unloading the dryer from the truck. After we got help to get the dryer inside the store she acted like she was doing something else behind her with other products for a good while obviously ignoring us because she looked at us when we came back in the doors. In my opinion if a customer comes in the door you should focus your full attention the customer who needs help, not finishing whatever seemed so much more important. After she finally started to help us she blew off a couple questions we had asked and basically had a "leave me alone" attitude. The guy who helped us bring the dryer into the store was really friendly though. Second encounter was with a lady in the appliances department. We had asked her if she could point us in the direction where they have the washing machine hose parts and all she said was "we can't help with that" and gave us a card with a number to call for help. Really? So we had to find it ourselves, which we found the part in the store without calling the number on the card. This Lowe's location seems to have people who do not want to be bothered with anything. Won't be visiting this specific location anytime soon. read more

I'll do no more business at any Lowes, including Santa Fe. I left the items I was going to return on the counter. Have them. Revised review. Current opinion: Great in-store, negligible for delivery orders. I intentionally avoid the Other home improvement stores and directly support this location because, as previous reviews state, I've truly enjoyed the personalized customer service I've received here. My record of great experiences was recently confirmed, yet again, when I went shopping for some blinds. A very informative, cool employee jumped right in and helped me identify exactly what I was looking for, cut the blinds precisely to my dimensions, and then told me all about hosting their upcoming Christmas dinner, which could feature any combination of grandkids, a distressed veteran, an insane ex-wife and various substance abuse. New Mexican family issues, man, gotta love 'em. I'm genuinely happy I had that conversation. I'm not happy with our last purchase, er, the delivery thereof. We upgraded to a fancy-schmancy washer/dryer, were told the items were in stock and would be delivered a week later. That didn't happen, and we didn't get a phone call. We called several times, the delivery happened five days later, and the guys who installed the combo -- very professional, BTW -- agreed that, when it comes to communicating, this company can do a lot better. If you order an appliance from this place, confirm your delivery date and get contact info for the day they're supposed to visit. read more

Had a lot of great experiences here. Customer service in store is tops, and someone is always available to help you find what you need. In addition to the normal selection of hardware, I've had a lot of great finds for the home here, from lamps to patio furniture, well made-products at reasonable prices. Remember to look beyond the tools, lightbulbs and plants, and you might be surprised what you find. As far as the in-store experience of a hardware store goes, it doesn't get much better than this. read more

One of the worst examples of customer service I have ever experienced. You'd think a company would want to serve a customer willing to spend $1500 to the best of their ability but that is simply not the case here. Not only did they do everything in their ability to avoid selling us the cabinets we wanted, when we were finally able to purchase them they took an hour to just pull them off the shelves! What I really like about Lowe's is that several years ago they had a commercial that featured two cardinals (the birds, not the grown men who play a game for a living), flying around making improvement to their birdhouse while a song played in the background, "Don't - stop - doin whatch yer doin!" I love that song. It's infectious. I love cardinals, of all the birds they are the most polite. I so miss those commercials. And I don't even watch tv. That's not where I saw them. Lowe's has a series of home improvement videos you can watch on You-Tube, and the commercial with the cardinals preceeded them. I learned how to do everything from those videos: paint my deck, patch drywall, install a garbage disposal. The videos gave you a shopping list and realistic expectations about how long the project would take. Not like HG TV where every project takes one trip to the store and half an hour to complete. My experience in an actual Lowe's store isn't as heartwarming, but its okay. Sometimes it can be hard to find help, and when I do they are in a hurry. And I'm getting ready to move and they run out of heavy duty boxes way too often. Boxes don't expire or go bad, just stock a bunch of them, will ya? And here in ABQ I'm a big time gardner, but Lowe's always has the same old plants that every other garden center in the US has. Not much diversity. I still like Lowe's and I'll continue to run down there for the fourth time in one day to get the part I didn't know I needed when I started that easy project, but yes, they could step up the customer service a bit. read more

I don't know what your household is like, but in mine, the dishwasher is THE most used appliance. So, after 10 years it gave out (one of the saddest days!) and I realized that cooking just isn't that much fun when you have to hand wash every single dish. I called around and found Lowes to be competitive on price. What I did not realize was how fabulous the entire experience would be from start to finish. The woman who ran the department was really knowledgeable and after I made my decision, she had everything set up install and all. She cashed me out and within 24 hours I had my new dishwasher.
