I ordered a built in oven in Jan. It was delayed twice getting to the store. So ok. We've two weeks behind delivery already. Then I get a call that they need to come measure before installing. I had already measured but ok. Another week delay. Why didn't they say it needed to be measured when I paid for the appliance and delivery? Now another two weeks before installing. Unbelievable. I called the store mgr who said "we don't have anything to do with the installers. They are a separate company." Lesson learned. Do not buy an appliance from Lowe's if you expect reasonable service on installation. It has been one delay after another, each time a polite lady says they will put a rush on it. What a joke. I placed an order for delivery. The day of delivery, no delivery and no phone call to say why. I tried calling the store several times to find out why it wasn't delivered and the phone rang with no answer. I finally got a manager on the phone. He transferred me to delivery and they did not answer. FINALLY called corporate and they rescheduled the delivery. New delivery date and no delivery again! No one called and No one would answer the phone at the store. If I am willing to pay $80 for delivery of $800 of supplies, atleast call me if you can't make it! Corporate had no answers and only offered to reschedule delivery yet again. Common customer curtesy is all that was needed. If you can't deliver don't offer the delivery service! read more

Lowes is good at selling windows and installation, but disgracefully poor with customer service. After April sale, June install, found one defective upper window sash, mark between glass, and two torn screens. Installers submitted replacement for screens and window to Lowes, who did not submit to Pella until I called in July for status to find replacement request not submitted, then still did not get window ordered - no follow through with Pella to confirm. Screens finally came in in Sept, and had to resubmit window order. ETA Oct 31, no window, Lowes called Pella, got new ETA mid Nov. 11/26/23 Call from Lowes notifying that window is in, and installers to set up date to install. Installers came 12/14 - no window, but finally installed screens. Went to store and no one in millworks to help. Finally customers service checked storage for window that was to have arrived 11/26/23 - no window, found millworks service rep, who put the order in again. Don't know what happened with window reorder expected originally in Oct. Good customer follow through would have millworks installation reps make sure customer is updated on installation status, especially if there were order issues. We went in today with the plan of purchasing a stove. We found a stove that met all my requirements and it was marked way down. I was told by an employee that took 15 mins after I hit the button for help that I couldn't have that unit. His explanation was vague at best. I then asked for the manager. He paged management 3 times. 3! The employee, Russ, went to get a manager. He came back with a clown named Alex. #1. Alex is rude as hell and shouldn't be one of 3 managers. Being aggressive with guests is grounds for getting put in your place real quick. #2. His explanation as to why I could not purchase that unit made zero sense. If it's a discontinued item, wouldn't you WANT it off your sales floor considering, you know, you don't have one to sell? #3. Alex called in loss prevention as back up and his first response was for us to lawyer up if we had a problem with how Lowes does things. No one mentioned anything more than false advertising. Lowes should reconsider that location. The place has rude, unhelpful people all the time. They are literally the worst customer service agents ever. The service and quality has decreased a lot in the last 8 years but we have the place the benefit of the doubt. Not anymore. I will go to Lowes in North Augusta or Augusta before I purchase anything from the Aiken store. read more

My problem with Lowe's stems from a delivery that failed to take place on three different days. The lack of professional communications from Lowe's led to contractors reporting to work with nothing to do. The only recourse that had was to wait and see or cancel the order. I chose the latter and the "I don't care attitude" has left an "anybody but Lowe's" mindset. When an organization allows a person to become stale in his performance and lacks motivation, it affects customer relations. If counseling and evaluations are done correctly, growth can take place. When a Lowe's location passes a delivery to another store, active oversight needs to take place by the sending organization and feedback by the receiving organization minimize errors. Pro-desk should have authority over the delivery section to ensure deliveries can be made based on the information provided to the customer. If the delivery section currently falls under the pro-desk, the problem rests with the pro-desk supervisor. read more

I went to the Aiken Lowes to purchase a refrigerator. We spoke to the sales person about what we were looking for and purchased a refrigerator for $987. Delivery and set up was included. When the refrigerator was delivered the next day, it could not be set up because the water hoses and ice machine assembly were not included with the refrigerator. We returned to the store and the parts needed for the refrigerator were out of stock. I then attempted to return the refrigerator and have the refrigerator picked up and my money returned and I was given a pick up date for the next day. We waited at home until about noon and called to check what time the pick up would be and was told we were not in the system. I scheduled another pick up date and time and it was three days away. We waited and three days later they picked up the refrigerator for return to the store. It's been three days since they picked up the refrigerator and I still haven't received my $987. I WILL NEVER shop there again. Also, the customer service was horrible. I bought a new refrigerator from Home Depot and I love it. Thank You, Lowe's for turning me into a satisfied Home Depot Customer. Without your horrible customer service, I wouldn't of had to find Home Depot to rescue me and find a refrigerator we love and had all the parts needed to make the refrigerator work properly. I bought a new dishwasher. Same model make and size. Their contractor (Plume) brought it in to the house. Dumped it in the middle of the kitchen floor. Spent 5 minutes looking and then refused to install. He told Lowe's that my house required complete replumbing to be able to install. Lowe's says that my house, inspected and brought up to code in 2020 did not meet code now and they refused to honor the pre paid installment contract. read more

Only giving a star because I think you have to put something. I bought a dryer a couple of years ago and the extended warranty. I have had to call for service right from the start. Now, apparently the dryer needs a new board. I have had nothing but terrible service trying to schedule anyone to come out. Granted, the ones they send out are not the greatest but most times, the job is done. I could not get an appointment scheduled until 3 weeks later. This is unacceptable. After being treated rudely from the extended warranty side, I contacted Lowe's on Facebook. I immediately got a response and corporate was awesome in promising me a new dryer and even gave me gift cards to use in the store. Now, I can't seem to get the employees there to do their job. From the front customer service, to the appliance manager. And if you're promised someone will take care of it, I can assure you the they will be off when you call. This store is okay...except for when it comes to the employees. My husband and I needed some wood cut, and they guy who helped us cut the wood was great, and gave us no problems and the wood was cut perfectly. Next, we needed dry wall putty, we asked an employee who told us it was on aisle 20, and they were WAY FAR OFF. Then we asked another employee who was SUPER rude. We asked her where dry wall putty was and she looked lost so we were trying to explain to her what it was and she was like:"Yeah." Didn't even make eye contact with us. She had to ask ANOTHER employee where it was and she didn't know either even after asking yet ANOTHER employee. The rude employee then finally pulled out her little locator thing and told us we'd either find it on aisle 10 or 11 'where paint is' and she was wrong. We went up and down the aisles and found it on 13, where sandpaper and patching material is. These employees don't know where anything in their store is. It was a hassle just to find one thing. Look on your own versus trying to get help cause that's what you'll end up doing anyway. read more

When I did get to speak with a person, I was told that I could not purchase an item on the sales floor because they did not have an item to replace that one. Ok, so there is a range on the sales floor on clearance that Lowes won't sell to me because it is a display and the last one. I have been trying to purchase this stove for over a week, it has decreased in price, yet I'm told Lowes doe not have any more of these. 1st they told me I had to have a truck ready to put it on the day of purchase. I came back with a truck and now it's because it's the last one. Again, an item they don't have is decreasing in price and I can't buy it off the sales floor. So what is Lowes going to do with the stove? C'mon, what sense does that make? I even asked if I could buy the stove or put my name on a first come first serve list, they call me and get it when they get a display replacement. Guess what, the same thing happened with the wall surround for the bath. "Oh they're discontinuing that and we can't get any more. So I couldn't get the display on that either. Ok, so Lowes advertises items it Won't sell to the customer if, 1) it's On display 2) is the last one 3) if they don't have a replacement item, and 4) you don't have a vehicle to take it right then. The Lowe's has to be the worst home improvement company in the business. I paid to have a fence installed with a $500 rebate and now I have been put of on receiving it now for about six months. Not only that, the contractor, C&R Home Improvement would not even show up until 11am and stop work, with a break in between, at appx 2pm. The material ordered ways way more than needed for job and I could not return it for a credit. Lowe's is not the store that it was and beware. We ordered a washer and dryer from Lowe's about six weeks earlier as we were moving from another state. The washer and dryer were delivered on time but the washer with the dryer was damaged and not usable and was returned immediately. After visiting the store and talking to several people on the phone today for two days it was a understanding that another dryer was going to be ordered and would be delivered in 5 to 7 days. I called the store today to check on the status of the dryer and come to find out the dryer money was refunded and the dryer was never really ordered. Now I have all the accessories that come with the dryer but no dryer. After spending 25 to 30 minutes on the phone with someone in the appliance department and with a manager in the store it was determined that the dryer would have to be read ordered and it could take another 7 to 10 days. No one can seem to tell me why this happened but it was their standard procedure that I had to re-order it myself. I thought calling the store and going in and confirming this was done but apparently there's no one there to confirm because no one knows what's going on. So today I directed Lowe's to come and pick up the washer and the dryer accessories and refund my money. I will not ever be buying appliances from this Lowe's again read more

In early July 2014, I visited the Aiken, South Carolina Lowe's on Whiskey Road. I had a list of about 10 very specific items I needed (nuts, bolts, threaded PVC bushing, locknuts, washers, o-rings, etc.), and was fairly overwhelmed with all the choices. An associate by the name of Bryson helped me find everything I needed. Specifically, he asked if I needed help, then went over my list and helped me find everything I needed - which required him walking me from the plumbing section to the hardware section, and looking through boxes of small items to help me find exactly what was on my list. He was very nice and friendly, and he was also very knowledgeable about the stock Lowe's had on-hand, as well as the location of stock. Thanks to him, I got all my pieces, and was very happy with my visit that day. read more

Tried to buy a riding lawn mower here. Couldn't find anyone to help me. Asked an employee at the checkout, who sent me to customer service, who sent me to a guy who was helping someone else. After waiting about 15 minutes for the guy who is apparently the only one who can help in the garden department, I decided on a mower. We went back to the garden area to check out I thought. The guy told me he couldn't check me out in his area and gave me paperwork to take to the front register. The lady at the front register said she didn't know how to do the checkout and called for a manager who was a few feet away talking to another employee. It took her several minutes to decide to help. I thought I was finally good to go until I mentioned delivery. The checkout lady then had a meltdown crying she didn't know how to do delivery. I mean literally crying. The manager who was still just a few feet away talking to the other employee just ignored us. By this time there had grown a long line and people start making remarks about the delay. Still no action by the manager except to start berating the employee about not knowing how to do her job. I finally gave up and walked out. The manager just smirked and shrugged her shoulders. Found one we like for 1000 dollars, and payed and got out to our car and discovered he did the more expensive one( 500 dollars more) , We had brought a lot more stuff so at 1st didn't notice.So had to go back to sales guy and had to change everything, then to service desk to get our refund. Sales guy told us they would call us in a few days for delivery. Well yesterday my husband went back to store to find out where our fridge is and it's not schedule for delivery till March 24, 2020 . He complained and it got moved to Monday March 16, 2020 cause they don't have enough help. This whole thing has been a nightmare. The guy never showed up or called. When I called back to the store to inquire about what happened, the associate was of no help. I decided to get a refund and go to Home Depot. Lowes (Aiken, SC) refuses to stock blades for a Lawn Mower they sell. When you pay (4k+) you expect normal part replacments (Filters, blades, etc...) to be avaliable. They carry other brands of 54" blades. The first manager told me he would contact the vendor and have the store stock them. 2 weeks later.. I was told it was a "low demand issue" by the store manager Kevin and it would be a special order item. WTF.. special order for parts on something you should be selling (You carry other brands of 54" blades) as a curtousy to your customers????? I was quoted a "special order" price for 3 blades @ $54.00???. I can order blades for 25%-%50 less myself online.. (add insult to injury guys, good job!) Yikes! It being Memorial weekend, I wrongly assumed they were going to deliver it next week. He was very understanding and turned the truck around and will deliver it later in the day.
