I was absolutely frazzled with three different projects going on at my parent's house before coming to the store. I've been to a ton of Home Depot's before but when I bumped into Jon in the garden department on my first stop he helped me throughout the ENTIRE store. Went into the Aiken Home Depot to get some paint for a couple of chips in some furniture. Jack at the paint counter was phenomenal! We only had the tiniest paint chip for him to match and he got it exactly right! It was the smallest paint paint sample he had ever seen and actually chuckled a little when he saw what we brought in to try and get matched. He was a trooper and pulled some tricks from up his sleeve to get the job done right. He was pleasant, funny, and extremely helpful. He made our experience worth the trip! read more

The lady at customer service was very nice and tried to help me so I am giving this a 1 star. I received $500 gift cards and had the receipt/activation for $500. i scratched one of the numbers off and it cost me $500 as they do not replace cards and the employee locked me out of the system trying to guess the number. She said I was the second person this week she had seen that happen too and there is nothing they can do. do not buy gift cards just Zelle/venmo/cashapp your loved one's money. read more

I have always found the Aiken Home Depot to be friendly and customer focused. Every time I'm in the store multiple workers will say hello, ask me if I need assistance and proactively provide advice. I want a store to appreciate me as a customer and I'm always happy to spend more money with them because of it. Highly recommend this location. read more

6/29/17 - While checking out at the local Home Depot, I told the cashier that I was a veteran and showed my drivers license which shows my veteran status, as I usually do. She informed me that unless I was active or retired military, I did not qualify for a discount. When I questioned that policy, she indicated that she was just informing me of the company's policy and added that Home Depot was not like Lowe's (which does offer veteran discounts). After seeing that I wasn't happy with the response, she added that the 4th of July was almost here (when Home Depot offers the discount to "everybody"), she did add the discount. Went to the Aiken South Carolina store to buy a couple of exterior doors and electrical supplies. Found a door i really wanted and asked the salesgirl and the manager both if i could order one cause both doors that were on shelf were all dented in. Was told no either i take what was on the shelf or i wasn't getting it. I ended up buying my doors from Lowe's with no problems. Then at the cash register, girl rang us up wrong after telling her there were different products in our cart, of course the more expensive ones! Ended up returning them a few days later! Won't ever step in that store again, what a nightmare!!!! read more

I really like this Home Depot! It's usually busy when I go and everyone and everything is moving fast. They have a ton of stock and plenty of people to help you if you have a question. Everything is organized well here and checkout was efficient. The location is good, especially if you want to grab groceries next door at Kroger while you are doing that honey do list at Home Depot... Plenty of parking as well and I find it easy to get in and out with a fuss! read more

I have shopped at Home Depot stores all over the country. I have never had an experience in a Hone Depot like a had today. We needed some expensive plywood cut for us and that is how we met the Home Depot employee, Tracy. From the start she was rude and unhelpful. She was on some kind of power trip because we needed her to help us and then she tore up the plywood to the point that we lost an inch on every cut. She does not belong in a customer service related job. She was actually threatening in her manner. read more

Paul in Contractor Services and Lucas in Lumber were top notch today and assisted us with getting ALL the supplies we needed for building a brand new fence after a storm blew over 2 trees and totaled our old fence. Just bought a new Whirlpool dishwasher from them. Got a good deal and I'm very happy with the product but one word of caution. Home Depot subs out their delivery's to a company in Lexington "On-Time Delivery's". The name is not really accurate! I guarantee you will not be able to reach them on the phone! read more

We searched online for a well pump we found one for 402.00 in Augusta. But it wasn't in stock. The site said 3 were available in Aiken so we drive 45 minutes to Aiken they have them on the shelf for 505.00 over a hundred dollars more. They wouldn't honor the online price. read more

I wish I could give this store less stars. I have had to make so many returns because these people make mistakes. Wrong paint, wrong equipment. I mean these people are so lazy. I've just had my last visit to Home Depot here in Aiken, SC. There are excellent reasons why I prefer to do business with LOWE'S instead of Home Depot. HD service is spotty. My primary reason has to do with pricing. This morning I needed a plumbing part, a replacement stem for a shower faucet. I visited Lowe's and immediately received service from a very helpful young man. He researched the part and said, "I'm sorry sir, but we don't have it in stock. The local Home Depot store, however, does have it in stock". I thought it was extremely kind of the clerk to help me solve the problem, rather than just tell me the part wasn't available. So off I went to Home Depot. They had the part in stock but there was a price difference of about $1.25 higher from the online price. I figured they would at least price match their own web site, but NO, they won't. This has never happened to me with Lowe's, who furthermore offers me a 5% discount for paying my bill in full and on time. Not Home Depot. So, as badly as I needed the part, I decided to buy it online from Lowe's. The lady at the checkout said, "Oh, we don't price match, period. We don't price match other stores, and we don't price match our online web site." So guess what I said and did? I simply looked her in the face, said "KEEP IT", and walked out of the store. I'll never do business with these shysters again, not even if I have to drive two hours to get what I need from a competitor, and even if I have to pay more. Their business practices suck. And, while I'm at it, several months ago I received mail from them threatening to lower my credit limit if I didn't use my account within X number of days. I didn't use the card because of issues like the above, and guess what? They lowered my credit amount, which in turn lowered my credit rating. How 'bout them apples? And for tactics like this, they think I'm going to replay them with customer loyalty? They are a bunch of idiots for thinking so. They need to seriously take the pulse of their clientele. read more
