a poppy lucky display

Lowes Foods Monkey Junction now pops their own popcorn and it is delicious! Poppy Go Lucky is the name and they make 6 different flavors. My favorite is Tiger Stripe, caramel popcorn with chocolate drizzle.

I love this Lowes foods. My husband and I are new to the area and happy to have this lowes just a few miles from our house. The store is clean, they always seem to have a fresh and local produce selection, and the staff have always been super helpful and friendly. I have also have found that the bakery is top notch with many beautiful cakes (see attached cake photo). I I also have had no trouble finding beautiful, fresh floral arrangements here and I love that they have a small pub with craft beers to sample. This supermarket really makes grocery shopping more fun (or as much as grocery shopping can be)!

Recently renovated with clean fresh decor. They even put in a growler filling station with rotating taps. OMG!

I don't really leave reviews for just plain old regular grocery stores all that much but I felt…read morelike it was important for me to leave a review today. I actually had a very good customer service experience today. And I think that is worthy to recognize. The grocery store was packed this morning as would be expected on a Sunday around lunch. I didn't really come in with a plan so I am trying to decide what to make for the week while in there at the same time. As I was walking around there was who I believe to be a manager or so - he was in a pink shirt today - approach me and ask what I was looking for. I told him and he took me straight to it. Later, when I passed by him again, he asked me if I was still good. Then when I went to check out, I had a good experience with Dresden. He was quick, efficient, kind, professional, and did the job well. I appreciate that he was ringing up the order quickly, packing the bags all by himself, and checking to make sure I was cool with it. He is clearly a hard worker and seems to be a great asset to this local HT. All and all, for someone who hates big hall, grocery shopping, I had a good of a time as I could have. I appreciate the customer service that I personally experienced, and that I witnessed the other people experiencing as well. PS I did order a pumpkin spice cold brew from the Starbucks inside - I've never had a pumpkin spice anything from Starbucks - and it was so freaking good.

It's a great grocery store. I had found souvenirs for the people I work with very quickly. I am…read moreglad we decided to stop at this local establishment.

I stopped in twice yesterday. The first visit was fine -- nothing memorable, but fine. Geneva was…read morebartending both times. The second visit, however, came with a greeting I've never heard in my fifty‑plus years: "You've been out all day. I can't serve you because I'll be liable if you're over served." I've bartended before. I understand the responsibility. But I was never asked a single question about what I'd actually been doing. For clarity: we had lunch at Michael's Seafood before our first visit. I had one non‑alcoholic seltzer at Island Beverage, and my partner had a four‑flight sampler. After that, we went thrifting and shopping at Goodwill, Lowe's Foods, and Dollar Tree. No drinking. No bar‑hopping. Nothing even close. On our second visit, Geneva gave us water and let us charge a phone -- and I do appreciate that. But being told "you've been out all day" instead of "welcome back" was unnecessary, inaccurate, and frankly insulting. It was an assumption presented as fact, and it was embarrassing. What made it even more absurd was watching Geneva continue to serve patrons who were clearly intoxicated while I sat there with a glass of water. So here's the takeaway: Don't go in twice in one day. Apparently that alone is enough to get treated like you've been drinking all over town. After this experience, I won't be going in on any day. I hope the staff can handle situations like this with actual communication instead of jumping straight to conclusions.

We pleasantly stumbled across this place, looking for some local brews, while visiting for the…read moreweek. They had a more than ample selection of local brews on tap, and all that we sampled were delish. They had a huge selection of wine and even served wine by the glass. There were a ton of games to play while you sip, which will be on our agenda next time. The bartender couldn't have been more friendly and welcoming to 2 non-locals! Next time we are bringing the rest of the crew!

I just had the most incredible experience with Your Pie Pizza. But before I get to that, I want to…read moretell you about the first time I had their pizza. I was starving after a long day at work and was searching for a place that offered a personal sized pizza. I glanced at their reviews and menu- sold. I ordered the hot honey pizza and chocolate chip cookies. Delivery was quick and the food was delicious. Not a "I was starving and anything would have been good" kind of delicious- but insanely good. Fresh ingredients, perfect topping ratio, and cooked perfectly. The cookies were the icing on the cake. I was so impressed I called to tell the manager how amazing everything was. We ended up having a 10 minute conversation that left me feeling like a valued customer. I've ordered many times since then, including today. When I pulled up DoorDash and tried placing my usual order, it said they were closed. I called to double check and learned that their head cook had no showed to work. The 80 year old gentleman who owns Your Pie Pizza drove in from Shallot to get everything up and running. However, DoorDash had been disabled for the day- which meant no delivery. Instead of turning me away, he insisted I give him my order so he could deliver it himself. He reminded me so much of my grandfather. I knew declining his offer would have insulted his kindness. He was the sweetest man ever. We had a great conversation about customer service and commitment. And of course, he refused to let me pay. This will forever be one of my favorite places to eat. Thank you Maynard! I can't wait to check out your new restaurant, Sweet & Salty Grille. Wishing you nothing but the best!
