If they're not busy drop off your car right away like how I did. They did a huge list of extensive part replacements in a day and a half just like they said they would. And it has the 2year warranty so the price is much more worth it here than anywhere else offering a 1 year warranty. This shop is so good I really don't have to worry about anything at all. They fixed stuff in my Prius that a Toyota hybrid specialist couldn't diagnose... I was going to go to pep boys or sun devil auto but I didn't feel like using that level of care for my suspension repairs and my engine stuff I was doing. I didn't want to chance anything or deal with random people today. I know I paid a tad more money than pep boys for labor, I don't care it was worth it. And this is a small business not a corporation! And the dealership is so horrible. I can't trust anyone these days so being able to trust this shop makes me way less stressed out. I posted the prices I paid and you can see most of the small maintenance is not more expensive than any other shop. I think a few things on this list are cheaper actually.

I had spent a little time cooling off in the colder climes of Flagstaff. I was getting ready to…read morehit the hiking trails again one early morning, and what warning comes up? The brake warning where it says to turn off the car RIGHT NOW and take the vehicle to the closest dealer. WHAT?? Here I was three hours from where I live and getting ready to go hiking. I called the only dealer in town. Nope booked solid all day and they "might be able to fit me in before the end of the day." The operative word is "might." Well, I had turned off my vehicle, and when I restarted it, the warning was still there. I turned it off again. And the warning was gone. WHEW!! So I decided it could still go hiking, but partway there I decided the light might come on again and why chance it, especially since I had to come down the hill to Phoenix. So I headed back. I had been thinking about changing garages cause of some thoughts I had. Therefore looked for a Toyota shop, and lo and behold here is Toyoworks getting great reviews. I explained the situation, made the appointment and took it in. I explained to Andre what was going on. I couldn't wait in the shop cause of COVID so decided to wander the 'hood. He ended up telling me he couldn't find what the problem is but he did fix another problem, and it didn't cost me an arm and a leg. I think I've found a new garage.

I normally don't leave reviews, especially for something that happened a while back. But as I'm…read morecurrently looking for a place to service another 4Runner, I felt this experience was worth sharing. A few years ago, I took my first 4Runner V8 to Toyoworks for a timing belt and water pump replacement. They advertise themselves as Toyota/Lexus specialists. Unfortunately, the timing belt was installed incorrectly and snapped while the engine was running -- under their care. This caused major internal engine damage, including several bent pistons. To their credit, they did repair the engine. However, they still charged me for the original timing belt service, which I now understand should have been waived at minimum. According to Arizona law, auto repair shops must perform services with reasonable care, and if negligence leads to damage, they can be held responsible (see ARS § 12-561 and the Arizona Consumer Fraud Act § 44-1522). The most frustrating part is that the engine was never quite the same after the repair. It developed a light "ticking" noise and felt like it had lost some power. I ended up selling the vehicle later on, but that experience stuck with me. I'm not posting this to discredit the shop -- I know many people have had good experiences with Toyoworks over the years. I'm simply sharing my own so others can ask the right questions and fully understand what kind of accountability is offered before committing to major work.

They saved me hundreds of dollars. They charge 30-40% less than the dealers on labor. That's huge when you have a two thousand dollar repair. I live In Casa Grande and took the chance to drive to Cave Creek. That's over a hour and a half away. Best decision I ever made! These people are very professional and knowledgeable. They used my own supplies without question and went above and beyond my expectations. My Z4 was respected here more than the dealer. My ivory interior was well protected. They had a cover over the seats, floor boards, and even the steering wheel. It was all wiped down and cleaner than I dropped it off. They replaced my oil filter housing, all gaskets, belt tensioner, idle pulley and belt. Without my knowledge they degreased and cleaned the whole engine bay! They are very honest. I had other dealer recommendations that were not as critical as they made them out to be. I probably have months before needing them addressed. Great job guys! Thank you for everything. I strongly advise against taking any vehicle to North Mountain Auto. On 04/08/2026, I brought my…read more1996 Ford Probe GT to this shop for a water pump replacement. Dashcam footage explicitly shows the vehicle running perfectly fine that morning while it was at another shop receiving an estimate. It was dropped off at North Mountain Auto two hours later. On 04/13/2026, the vehicle was pulled into their bay exhibiting no problems, yet it exhibited severe running issues immediately after their "repair." The vehicle was subsequently removed to a neutral third-party shop via a recorded and documented chain of custody on 04/27/2026, ensuring no claims of tampering could be made. Independent diagnostics have since confirmed catastrophic engine failure, including air passing through the piston rings and a 25% leakage around the exhaust valve on Cylinder 5. Far more concerning than the mechanical destruction is the actively documented fraud and attempted cover-up. Forensic dashcam video and telemetry data captured the shop engaging in billing fraud by charging for one type of product (Asian vehicle blue coolant) while explicitly using another. Furthermore, on 04/20/2026, approximately an hour before I arrived to pick up the vehicle, the mechanic is recorded stating to the front desk that he had already lost two days the prior week and five hours that current day on the car and was "done." Twenty minutes later, footage shows them manually overriding factory settings via the base idle set screw (BISS) in a deliberate attempt to hide over 30 documented engine stalls and doctor the vehicle just enough to collect payment. This override occurred on four separate occasions. Additionally, the intake plenum was removed. There is absolutely no reason for its removal during a water pump replacement other than assessing internal damage; it provides no extra room or access and is 100% unnecessary. Both the mechanic and the shop stated they hadn't "worked in that area," claiming the damaged wires and broken clips had nothing to do with their work, which the visual evidence explicitly contradicts. When the shop realized my dashcams automatically trigger upon movement or when the key is turned, they attempted to format the memory cards twice while the car was sitting in their bay: once on April 15th, and again after hours following a "stealth" repair on 04/22/2026. This constitutes direct spoliation of evidence to cover up their actions. When I reached out via text message, they immediately denied warranty coverage, blamed the car, and then blamed me. However, until this week, they had no knowledge that the dashcam footage was NOT actually deleted. If you're going to perform such acts, you may want to research the specific dashcam to know how to format it. Just saying. I have retained a 236GB forensic data drive documenting every action taken in their bay. Now that every legal and regulatory action has been filed and is underway, I am leaving my experience here to help prevent others from suffering the same fate. Do not trust this shop with your property. Billed $2282.49 for them to destroy the drivetrain.

As a first-time customer, I was disappointed with my experience. I scheduled an inspection and was…read moretold it would take about "half an hour." I understand that automotive work can sometimes take longer than expected, but after an hour and a half I had to ask for an update because no one had communicated the delay. I noticed on the front desk computer that I was entered into the system as a drop-off, even though I was waiting for my vehicle. I always wait during appointments, and if that impacts how service is prioritized, it should have been confirmed when scheduling. I also noticed there appeared to be either a misunderstanding or scheduling issue with another customer who had an appointment after mine, which raised concerns about how appointments were being managed. When I asked for an update on the timing, the response I received felt dismissive. The employee responded that "nothing is ever a half an hour, not here, not any shop." I understand that estimates can change and that inspections may take longer than expected, but my concern was not that it took longer--it was that I was given an estimate, waited significantly beyond that timeframe, and had to ask for an update myself. The employee told me he would check on the timing and get back to me, but I did not receive an update afterward. Instead, he returned to the office and continued working with vehicles. Another employee also said he would check on the status and where the first employee was at, but I did not receive an update from him either. A simple update or revised timeframe would have gone a long way. The inspection, which was quoted at approximately 30 minutes over the phone, ultimately took about two hours and cost around $100. The findings included recommended back strut replacement, brake fluid service, and a battery replacement, with an estimated total of around $1,760. They also identified a bent rim, but I did not appear to receive a quote for that item despite requesting one. I have no doubt that their technicians have the knowledge and skills to diagnose and repair vehicles, and that expertise has value. However, expertise does not replace the need for clear communication and respect for a customer's time. I was hoping for a shop that values the customer's time as much as their own. Given this experience, along with pricing that appears to be higher than other shops I have compared in the area, I am uncertain whether I will return for future service. I hope the shop improves its scheduling process and communication with customers when delays occur. ******* Edit in response to their Google review commentary: It's worthwhile to note the company response below essentially argues pricing (which was never contested as explained in my above review). The pricing was provided for other individual's knowledge of business pricing and a stated reason for hesitation in repeated business. There was no argument to the state of the car either-- it's at a shop as it needs repair. I went to one other business, not multiple as was stated in person and over the phone-- indicating a lack of clarity again with notation on client accounts more publicly-- and and was quoted half an hour of my time with no updated timeline despite two requests to one staff member as well as the owner, Jesse, who just walked away. The Argumentative and dismissive responses on the stated concerns in the severe lack of timing and communication are what have just ensured I do not return to this establishment and suggest others take a closer look at what shop they choose for the work on their vehicles.
