I ordered online for the earliest pickup time which was 12noon and my husband got there at 1155 and was given our burger and chicken piccata dish to bring to me at work which is less than 5 minutes from the restaurant. There was no flatware, napkins or condiments in the bags, the fries were ice cold and soggy, and my chicken was sitting in 1/4" of oil. We are not sure if it was just the location we chose, but unsure if we are willing to take the risk trying another location since they are pretty pricey.

The entrance to the farm kind of sneaks up on you fast; the whole place appears much smaller on the outside, but once you pull in and get to the gravel parking lot, you realize how much bigger it is inside. There was live outdoor music playing and kids laughing and cheering while playing with the nearby caged animals. This place was a great vibe. We weren't particularly hungry so I can't comment on the food, but we did take a walk around and paid for a quart box for blueberry picking. This was our first time and we had no idea what we were doing, but soon enough we filled up our little box very nicely. I recommend you bring some Off or some kind of bug spray if you're anything like me and bugs love buzzing around your ears. Inside the one of the barns was their stores and I picked up a bag of caramel puff corn and a delicious Apple Cider slushie. Everyone was very friendly. Overall we had a very good time here, and I hope to come back on an empty stomach so that I can try out some of their cider donuts.

I have had both excellent and just ok meals at King Phillip. Last weekend was a lobster casserole,…read morewhich was excellent. It came with a small salad (with unripe tomatoes) and a baked potato, which was also excellent. Service was attentive. I believe that the restaurant has an ability to be exceptional, however, whether from kitchen staff turn-over, or other issues, I never know what part of the food spectrum I will experience. There is both meal seating in the lounge and in the restaurant proper. The main dining room was haphazard the day I visited with tables scattered about without any indication that they would be used. Christmas tree in the entry? I would love to make King Phillip a regular dining location since I live locally, but it has a ways to go. For now it remains very much a small town country hole-in-the wall, very typical of other such local restaurants.

Everything was fresh, delicious, and there was an incredible variety of high-quality options. I was excited to come back hoping for that same experience. The restaurant itself was very clean, and our waitress was outstanding--friendly, attentive, and made sure we had everything we needed. The service was definitely the highlight of our visit. Unfortunately, the food didn't live up to my previous experience. We arrived about an hour and a half before the brunch ended, and much of the buffet seemed like it had been sitting for quite some time. The fish was dry, the sausage was dry, and while the eggs were actually good, most of the food had the typical buffet quality rather than the fresh, high-quality meal I remembered. There was an acceptable selection of items, but nothing really stood out. It's disappointing because the excellent service and clean, welcoming atmosphere deserved better food. I don't mind paying for a buffet when the quality matches the price, but this visit simply didn't meet my expectations. Sadly, despite the wonderful staff and pleasant environment, the food was subpar enough that I don't see myself returning.
