    Pulled Pork

Solid customer service, the place is mesmerizing because of the bbq flavors, decor and appealing dining with comfort. The food is worth continuing to get locally, but damn good. It's under new management I guess, but as I see it's only going to continue in the way it needs to be to get even killer bbq! Best wishes and I will be back! Ps. I gobbled the brisket sandwich and forgot a pic!!

I had to look at the other reviews because I don't know what this place isn't 5 starts . It was everything I was hoping for and more , it's going to be tough to come up with some negatives . Everything was so positive. I ordered the 2 meat meal with brisket and pulled pork , if had this identical meal a few times the last few weeks so I got a fresh reminder on what it's suppose to be . The brisket was moist , flavorful with just the right amount of fat , that's where the flavor comes from . And a good amount . The pulled pork looks like it came right off the pig , again a little fatty, and not processed . All different size fresh pieces . I am a brisket fan but the pulled pork gave it a run for the money ! Also a good amount . I got sides of Mac and cheese and coleslaw. Now I always rant about coleslaw at restaurants, how they give you a little scoop of coleslaw and call it a side . Well there sides are for two ! The Mack and cheese was very good , and the coleslaw was textbook . They had 3 or 4 sauces in a little fridge , I figured out you have to help yourself and put them back when done . Digging deep to find a complaint , the water cooler was empty, the employee came over and agreed it was empty and just walked away . I ate inside because there seamed not to be any shaded area . All the picnic tables are in the direct sunlight. And their beer selection was minimal to say the least . Staff was very friendly , they brought my food out in like 10 minutes. Can't wait to go back !

Some of the best bbq I've had in New England. The brisket Philly cheesesteak was phenomenal and we really enjoyed the creative beer selection. The Mac & cheese was just okay but everything else on the menu was delicious!

As the first Yelp Elite to rate this place, I feel kinda obligated to note that many of the rest of the reviews for this place look fake or unreliable "singles". So is this place good? Absolutely. It's a cute BBQ place within spitting distance of Yankee Candle and a welcome change from chain restaurants. We were treated by a friendly counter server who took our order. We went for the simple brisket and simple pulled pork sandwiches. Neither disappointed. They weren't fatty nor were they dry. Instead they had a nice smoky flavor to them. Better yet the BBQ sauce is legit. We also really loved the fries that had a bit of a kick to them. We sat outside on a gorgeous late summer day and even saw a train speed by right next door. Worthy of a stop.

I was in the area and looked on here for a quick place to eat. The place was really cute and homey. The food was awesome, the chicken was huge and super flavorful and the mac and cheese was super creamy. You can either order at the front counter or with the QR code on the tables from your phone.

The food is awesome. Every time I order it takes over an hour. The slow service makes me less likely to order here

I walked in a little after they opened. Nobody was there in terms of customers... I wasn't greeted. I sat at the counter. The staff continued to just chat. I felt like the staff had no interest in having a customer. I had to go over get a menu. I was looking at it. They looked at me as I was reading said menu never offering a coffee nothing I waited about 10 minutes and then I walked out put the menu back and said I gotta go. Leo's seems to always be busy, and sometimes there are no available tables. So many people make it quite noisy, and on top of that, the din from the kitchen is overwhelming. It sounds like they are literally throwing the dishes and pots as hard as they can into metal sinks! Not a peaceful place to eat and converse.

I chose the nachos for my meal, I'm sorta a nacho snob but was craving them. I wasn't disappointed. Perfectly topped and cooked with some crispy cheesy chips which I like. I chose pasta & meatballs for my Granddaughter and tried a bite, those balls and sauce were wicked good also! I'd order a plate for myself next time. Bathrooms were clean also. Thank you!

Before the menu change, I ordered a vegan tofu reuben with their delicious slaw, called a "Cosmos."…read more It was so good, I ordered it again, thinking it was impossible for them to get it right two times in a row. They did. So I came back a THIRD time and ordered it AGAIN, just to see if they can still keep their vegan cheese melted just right on top. It was incredible, AGAIN. Now that I've gotten this out of the way, ask where it is on their new menu as it is under revision--I don't like the tempeh version as much. Onto the rest of the atmosphere of Cushman. One of the most pleasant features of Cushman Market and Cafe is that it is nestled at an important corner in northeast Amherst. You need to travel further west to get to The Mill District and not much opens there early, and there's little else I can recall in the other cardinal directions. It's a pleasant trip, with plenty of parking in front, behind, and in a strip of side road across the street. I've never been in the market, so let me keep talking about the Cafe. The atmosphere of the Cafe is wonderful, with locals, safety officers, and regulars all visiting at each meal hour from breakfast to lunch. Nestled inside what looks like an old barn, complete with doors still hanging, Cushman has memorabilia from decades of music, sports, politics, and news frozen under acrylic, different for many of their tables. The café seems to have at most 20 chairs, and the staff behind the counter will deliver it to your table, call your name, or leave other orders by a stand near the back entrance. Cushman Cafe offers a variety of meals, alongside baked goods and freshly mixed café drinks. While I'm not a fan of the switcherels, I have enjoyed their dirty Chai lattes, iced teas, fresh coffees, and free water if I recall in a pinch. They have gender neutral bathrooms--which is great if you're tired of waiting in line for one of two as they are large but single occupancy. They offer cold panini sandwiches, hot panini, all sorts of eggs, egg sandwiches, and egg breakfasts, vegan and vegetarian options, alongside a seemingly visible carnivorous focus for their new menu's default. If you had a chance to hop on a bus and travel around Amherst, or you were passing through to the highways, Cushman Cafe is worth a quick stop. I've rarely had to wait long for my meals even in busy hours, and this is because of the large and competent kitchen, who--if you'll remember--can get a delicious sandwich right any day of the week. I hope cell service returns there!
