Tonight, New Years Eve, 2017, I decided to take a pizza to a gathering. I ordered a small veggie pizza with cheese only on one half. I received a pizza cooked just right with crispy, chewy outer crust of great flavor and texture, nicely browned overall, the toppings were fresh ingredients, the cheese half was hot and bubbling, and the aroma was wonderful. People with my health concerns make up 7% of the population and I can point them all to Zedas for a delicious pizza - a quest they will have had a hard time finding in the past. Usually an excellent experience with Zedas. Today, though, they were out of what I'd ordered. To their credit they tried calling to tell me that they were out of what I'd ordered and were substituting. The potato skins were not fully baked, but the bacon and cheese toppings made them edible. I would give it zero stars if I could, ordered the potato skin pizza. It had no sauce, they burnt the bacon, so I had a dry pizza that all I could taste was the burnt bacon. It really disappoints me that I bad more for a crappy ass pizza that was 17 bucks. The best part of the pizza was the crust. The only way to eat this was with ranch. I love this place. Thank you for being a part of our community here in Athol. I placed an order today and added a note that I LOVE YOUR PITA BREAD. I went to pick up my order and I heard the young lady reading it to the owner and she smiled while reading it and that melted my heart. What a lovely employee. Within a few minutes after leaving I got home and within minutes the owner came over to deliver a bag of fresh hot pita bread to me. My family buys from Zedas quite often and the experience is usually good. Tonight however was unbelievable. My dad ordered a large, and a small pizza. When he got there it hadn't even been started. He had to wait 25 minutes after dealing with the girl's attitude at the counter. Then they give him 2 smalls. He informs the girl one was suppose to be a large ..she throws the pizzas on the counter and storms off. The manager comes out, my dad says he will just take his money back he doesn't have anymore time to wait. The manager tells him no and proceeds to remake the pizza. 3 orders 3 mistakes I'm done. Zeda's has incompetent staff that do not bother to repeat your phone order, so they consistently send you home with the wrong items. I gave them the benefit of my doubts that they didn't mean to make mistakes but after 3 wrong well, strikes, I gave up. They have taken uo to 2 hours to deliver... the food has been delivered cold... they have delivered the wrong food... but last month $5 was added to my charge card after I had signed for it... So I just recently heard from a little bird that Zedas in Athol is currently under re-training the staff. They apparently sent someone from the Gardner Zedas to overhaul the staff's way of working. I am going to order once a week from Athol's Zedas, and writing my updated view of the quality of food. I updated this rating from 2's to 3's, purely because the owner acknowledged there is a problem, and he is making adjustments in his weak areas and keeping his good employees who are just lost in training. Remember: my review still stands! The employees must learn time management. Until they do, the food quality will gravely suffer. Why do we keep going back if it's so terrible, you ask. We go back because when the employees try, when they do things right 100%, you will notice: Zedas is, in fact, the best Pizza house ever! When Zedas first opened, my goodness! The food is amazing! The chicken tenders are made from boneless chicken breast. You wouldn't know this, because once placed in the Styrofoam container, the moisture from its delicious goodness turns the amazing crispy chicken tenders into mushy soggy tenders. Here's a tip for Zedas: poke holes into the top of your containers! Let the steam and moisture out! HERE'S ANOTHER TIP FOR ZEDAS: offer salted french fries. Your fries are bland and quite flavorless. The pizza dough is hand made, and the pizzas are off the hook! Once again, when the issues are fixed completely, I will definitely upgrade my rating to 5's! read more

I'm a local and have eaten at Zedas for five years or so now. I have consistently been happy with the food and service. I have had that one off experience that wasn't great which is consistent with any business that does not claim to be perfect. I give Zedas five stars and encourage anyone who doesn't feel they got the best value for their dollar to speak with management. read more

This is one of zades special pizzas. We sat outside and waited, after 20 minutes I went and asked if it was ready and they said no. So I said that we are right out the window so just wave when its ready and I will come and get it. So she came out and gave it to me and we got home and looked at this. I was starving and I took 1 bite and my son was so mad that he said lets bring it back. So I said I will call and see what they say. Mind you I don't live near there. They said did you eat any of it and I said yes a bite but it is disgusting. He said that I took a bite so they wouldn't take it back. They said that next time I get a pizza they would take 10% off. I said are you kidding me and he said I should have brought it back without eating any. Why would they give it to someone else the assholes. Let me start off by saying that I do understand that it its a Friday night, however, from jump this has been a terrible experience. The gentleman taking our order was rude and curt trying to cut us off before we finished or got a total. We ordered for 7 people which ended up being around $70 for the meal. They delivered quickly, hence the second star, but they were missing one of the entrees. We called and were told another would be sent out shortly. Now its 30 minutes later and we have finally received the elusive quesadilla. The food was mediocre and clearly the service and experience were utterly unacceptable. After 20 more minutes it finally showed and the sauce was spilt all inside the bag the food was in, saturating everything. The vegetables on the food were definitely past due and brown colored. Didn't even try any of the food. Not one to cause any issues, I ate the 20$ and chalked it up to a bad experience. Normally I'd give it a while and go back a few months later. PLEASE watch what happens during the finical part of your transaction here. We have gone to Zedas in Athol 5-6 times. Each time something happened when it came to the payment process! They forgot to give the change, they thought I only gave them a $20 when I gave a $50, they over charged by $12, they shorted me $5 when giving my change, they charged my card twice! so me and a few guys from work decide to splurge and order take out because we have a slow night. we ordered online which I thought was very convenient. I ordered a burger platter and they only sent the burger. I called and they told me I didn't order the platter just the burger. I was looking at my receipt on the computer and saw that I paid 11.95 for the burger platter. then they acted like it was my mistake and said they could give me a voucher for a small fry. I told them I didn't want a voucher I was at work and ordered the platter because I have a 12 hour shift and I was hungry not for another time. so they agreed to bring me my fries but said it was going to be longer than normal(which was an hour) because they were backed up. I said no its going to be longer than normal because you already have my money and now im an inconvenience to them. there was no apology or anything of the sort. also I asked for no tomatoes on my burger add peppers and I got it plain no lettuce peppers mayo nothing that was asked for. my co worker ordered a quesadilla with no jalapenos and guess what they were on it also. they worst customer service I have ever dealt with. they were rude and just acted as though I wasn't a priority at all and I will never be ordering from this place again. food was subpar I would way prefer friendly town or pizza factory or just about any other place around read more
