I have been a client for years now. They always do a great job. Both nails and pedicure. Nina always does wonderful designs.

I got a completely new set of acrylic nails and the artist left them lumpy and uneven looking and charged me 60$. When I asked her to fix them she blamed them on the picture I showed her. It seemed she was just trying to get my nails done and out of her chair. I did not get the impression she cared about the art and how my nails looked. She was not nice when I asked her to fix the lumpiness. Then only one day later one of my nails had the color peeling off. And instead of offering to fix my ugly nails for free the wanted to charge me. I'm going to note that I went to cosmetology school and this is not how you treat a client and not your art. 60 dollars out the window. I'll never go there again. read more

Made an appointment and the salon was full when I arrived. 30 minutes later ( I should have known better and just left), I made it to a chair and had a regular pedicure. So disappointed with my Mother's Day treat to myself... the staff member doing my pedicure never spoke or made eye contact with me, the massage was 30 seconds long and the whole experience 15 minutes long. This my my second bad experience at this salon, I've learnt my lesson, don't waste your money here. read more

I come here often because I typically* have a good experience. I've had friends have bad experiences and this last time I went it wasn't amazing. I showed the lady my design from a picture and she seemed irritated the whole time. I know it's a bit of hassle to do lines and crystals and everything, but that's why I pay to have someone else do it. The whole time my manicurist was rambling under her breath, throwing things, being overall rough with my hands and nails during the whole process. What really got me was that she didn't do any sort of nail/cuticle prep, I'm not an expert but I've had my nails done enough to know typically they will trim your cuticles (or at least push them back). I have been going to my old salon in Tualatin for the last 2 years since moving to Newberg for well done and affordable shellac pedicures. The commute every six weeks was getting to be inconvenient. I tried another salon in Newberg and it was not to my liking- enter Lovely Nails. I went in a few minutes before opening on a Friday and was quickly seated in a pedicure chair. The salon is larger than it looks from the outside, there are 8 pedi chairs and a dozen mani tables. The salon could use a good cleaning and is a little dated, but in line with similar salons. Tu was super friendly and gave a great pedi, I opted to get a mani also, everything still looks good 5 days later. The total was $42. I'll be back. read more

Walked in just to get my acrylic nails removed and they took me in right away, which was really nice of them but I waiting like 30 minutes just for someone to come continue with the process. She was really rude saying "you should of went to whoever did them for you they would've taken them of for free" as far as I know they never take them off for free I have alway pay for them to remove my nails. I always Pay $10 this time she charge $21 like wow, I know price goes up but almost half of a full set! Removing my nails never took almost an hour! Never going back! It was terrible. Not only did they make me get out of my chair and dry my feet off after soaking for twenty minutes so somebody else could sit there. After moving me they did my acrylics and they are crooked, they didn't even do anything to my cuticles. And after I left the pedicure chair they let somebody who walked in without an appointment get her toes done. My friend got hers done they were extremely rude. They did her nails nothing like the pictures. And hers are super super crooked. They were EXTREMLY rude and DISRESPECTFUL. I will NEVER be going back there. read more

I started to write a review multiple times yesterday, but refrained because it would be negative ... This is my experience with lovely nails. Zero customer service, minimum effort. The male who did my nail's (someone called him Tommy) only spoke to me three or four times to ask a question, but spoke in another language to a co-worker most of the time (which I found rude) but they're from another culture, so whatever. When I spoke he completely ignored me. I got acrylics with french tips, he ask "you want thick?" I said, "excuse me" no response. He also ask, "You want wide? I responded, what is wide, no response. I told him what I wanted and was completely ignored, I got wide nails, with super, thick, white tips. Twice he scolded me for moving my fingers, the second time he started intentionally squeezing my fingers so hard, he caused me discomfort. I thought surely this man is trying to hurt me, because I moved, but later in day, I squeezed them until I reached the level of discomfort he gave me and concluded he was INTENTIONALLY squeezing hard to hurt me. And even though my cuticles were dry and in need of attention, he put nothing on them, nor did he push them back. read more

I let her finish & they were DEFINITELY not what I wanted. after about 2hours of leaving the Salon TWO of my nails fell off when opening my car door. I called and asked if I could at least get half a refund of what I payed for since I did not like how they turned out in the first place so I didn't even want her to fix them at this point & she refused to at least give me half refund of what I payed. she said " that's not my fault I can't be following you around to make sure your nails don't fall off or break." I wouldn't recommend this place. Totally not what I wanted & was rude when I told her twice that they weren't turning out to what I wanted. read more

So I've always driven from Newberg to my fav places in Sherwood to get my nails done. I was given a gift certificate to Lovely Nails so I figured I would try them out. I got regular polish on my nails, then when I moved over to the table to get my fingernails done, the lady wouldn't help me put my flip flops on, every other place I've been to does this for you. I bumped the top of my nail and asked if she would fix it..."sure" she said "for $10." Then I asked if she would do dip nails on my hands. They had no color samples, she handed me a box of powdered jars (only 12) and told me to pick a color. I asked if the colors were true to their powder color and she said "I don't know." So I pick one of their 12 colors and she asks me how long I want my nails, I tell her short and she says no. I tell her that's okay, I'll go somewhere else. She says "fine, give me hands." She pinched me twice and when I pulled my hand the second time she said "you're fault for wanting short" and slapped my hand. Seriously, how is this place in business? This was comically bad customer service. I'll be continuing my drive to Luna or vivid nails in Sherwood from now on. read more

They let, what appeared to be, a 14-year old boy give me my first shellac manicure. That kid put the a layer of shellac a half inch thick on each nail. It took me about four hours, two beers and a pair of pliers to remove the shellac and damn near took a few fingernails with it. I love Lovely nails, they are attentive to me, I love the smell of the deluxe pedicure products, they small so good, and I get may nails exactly how I like them. In response to the post below about files, your supposed to pay 1 dollar to get a new set, then you bring your own back and forth, that is to prevent the nasty part you talk about, I bring my stuff in a bag every time, and it works awesome, never had a problem, my total 3 dollar investment has lasted months each time!!! Sounds like you just wanted new stuff but you were not willing to pay a dollar, not willing to track your own items, want 0 cost passed on to the customer, want the business owner to assume all cost, and don't realize the profit margin of the brick and mortar store with a very low profit margin whale they are still trying to pay their employees good wages! read more

Horrible service. Asked to sit next to the person I came with and they said no that we had to be 6 feet apart which is understandable that's their guidelines. But another mother daughter came in and they got to sit next to eachother and then they sat a lady between me and the person I came with... so rude and they yelled at us saying "you leaving soon" and put our shoes on while our polish was still wet. I wanted a relaxing pedicure after them not being open for 2 months and they were yelling at each other the whole time. Will never go back ever!! read more

Lovely Nails is a good place for a great price. Went at opening on Monday morning. My cousin and I enjoyed our pedicure while sitting in their clean, working massage chairs. The ladies who helped us were kind, polite and gentle. I felt that the salon smelled clean, looked clean and had a classy atmosphere. My toes feel soft and are happy as toes can be! After living in Newberg for eight years, I have been to this salon numerous times. I almost always leave less than satisfied, but because it's close and convenient I keep going back. But after my latest experience, I will not be going back any longer. The pedicure that I got chipped after only five days, when I have them done at four seasons in Sherwood they last for weeks. My acrylics lifted, and on three different occasions I went into the salon to have a fill, only to he told that they were too busy and could not help me. I called and made an appointment for same day. Gotti did my pedicure and polish. She did a wonderful job! She is so sweet and friendly. Then Tami had the task of resurrecting a bad job I had done by another nail shop. Tami is also very friendly and a MAGICIAN!! She transformed my nails!!! I had recently tried the acrylic with gel/shellac top coat. The first attempt left me with little flat shovels for nails. The second job was improved but lacking. I almost gave up on this technique but Tami did an Incredible Job!! This is a nice shop, the ladies are friendly and their pricing is good. read more
