Jesse (the owner) and I mainly communicated via phone and email. From the start, Jesse was incredibly patient, understanding, and helpful. If I had any questions or ideas to run by him, he would respond within 24-48 hours with his answers, thoughts, or advice. When you get closer to your wedding date, it becomes harder to keep track of everyone (family, guests, vendors, etc.). With Shakewell, I never had to check in on them. We kept each other updated with any information we needed - and we did so in a timely manner. Everything went smoothly and their questionnaire is beyond helpful. I recommend going through it very carefully, because it helps you think, organize, and anticipate what your day will be like and what moments you want captured on film. We collaborated on ideas and it was great to feel like a part of Shakewell's team. Last Sunday was our wedding day and it was the best day of my and my husband's lives. When Shakewell arrived, we did the formal handshakes, "this is so and so," "nice to meet you," etc. Those formalities lasted about 1-2 minutes. I had a wonderful experience with Shakewell Studios!! Jesse and I were in correspondence about 9 months before my wedding day. Our wedding of 300+ was Memorial weekend May 28. Thank you Jesse, Randy and Mike for capturing our wedding day perfectly. I knew I wanted the Same Day Edit from the get go, and your team blew our mind at the reception with how much content you captured. The music selected with the footage was spot-on and we're so glad we put our trust in Shakewell. Our guests gushed over the video you played for us and it really helped that the projector and screen were both provided and set up without any help needed. I wanted to also call out the excellent and professional service Jesse provided when I first started my research process. He answered all my questions without hesitation and was incredibly patient and informative in his responses. Jesse also offered a very competitive package and the options provided were easy for any bride to customize and add-on. I decided to go with the Elite Series with SDE included. Overall, we're incredibly thankful for having the Shakewell crew at our wedding. They made us feel comfortable and relaxed the entire day. AMAZING, AMAZING, AMAZING to sum it up but I'll start from the top for you :) In planning our wedding, we considered omitting video as a way to save the budget but after many of our friends and family mentioned regret that they didn't video their own we decided to go for it!! We found Jesse at Shakewell Studios and their films were amazing!!! If we were going to pay for video, we were going to pay for the best :) No sense in skimping on the one thing that will allow us to re-live our wedding day over and over. Jesse's team filmed our wedding day and they were great! So friendly, professional and even though we had three on the video team as well as two photographers following us around we hardly even noticed they were there. Perfect. We just got our edited video back and I can't even express how perfectly they capture the day in a 9 minute edit!! OMG we have been watching it on repeat for the last few days and every time we get tears in our eyes! My husband especially ;) The film is edited and filmed so perfectly it could be a movie!!! LOVE the way it came out!! Hands down it was worth every penny. His style of weaving the speeches with the vows and clips of the whole event are so well done. Jesse is such a talent, and a true professional. Definitely emphasizes quality, but also has a relaxed, laid back, and flexible demeanor that makes him a pleasure to work with. He and his assistant, Mike, were totally on their A game during our wedding on Saturday. He was timely, worked well with our photographer (they hadn't worked together before), and was constantly looking for good shots and good videography opportunities, while also remaining out of the way. Pricing was reasonable, and he was amenable to our many inquiries earlier on in the signing process as we had lots of concerns about our contract, which he addressed without much hassle. Thanks to Yelp we found Jesse and Shakewell Studios. To be honest, I was one of those people who thought "Yea, we don't need videography. It's so cheesy!" However, my husband and I looked into it, and after Yelp led us to Shakewell Studios' website, I fell in love with their films! I immediately told my husband we needed to find money in our budget! Since my husband and I were both living in two different cities planning a wedding in another city, we did a lot of our wedding planning through three way calling. Jesse was great and patient with us as we experienced phone difficulties. After our conversation, we definitely knew we wanted him for our special day. On the day of the wedding, the whole crew couldn't have been more professional and friendly! They made everyone feel at ease which was a big relief for me because I thought I would feel awkward with a camera following me around all day. We loved our wedding film, and our whole family could not get over the quality! My mom said "This isn't a video, it's a movie!" Plus, Jesse and his team have such a great eye when it comes to creative shots. I love how he mixes the perfect scenes with the music!
