I am a DJ and I have worked with a lot of videographers throughout the years. After I proposed to my fiance in 2018 I started paying more attention to them and asked them to send me the finished video so that we can decide if we like their story telling. Our wedding was in September of 2019, and being in the industry I know that all the great vendors get booked up at far in advance. I went against our wedding planner's recommendation on videographers, and my fiance (at the time) and I decided to go with Kyle, after we watched a few of his short films. We were impressed with the story telling, and after a few conversations with him we decided to book, about a year in advance. Kyle is very easy to work with, and always got back to me or about questions we had. Once that was out of the way we turned it over to our planner. Wedding Day: Being on the other side of a wedding (the Groom) is a great feeling. Kyle and his team we on it! Covering all the angles, locations and moments. They worked great with our photographers and no one ever got in the way of one another. One thing to remember, is a videographers job isn't done at the end of the night. The editing and story telling takes time. Kyle was upfront and said delivery is a few months out. So we waited patiently... Our short film was delivered to us 3 weeks ago. As I type this review, thinking about the film brings tears to my eyes. THEY ARE THAT GOOD! It's a masterpiece, something worth EVERY penny. We also chose to get the extended scenes. This add-on was the perfect compliment to the feature film. Approximately another hour of videos that are separate from the feature film, but broken down and edited into separate videos. It was a pleasure working with Kyle and his team, and the final film was worth the wait. Having pictures to reflect back on is great, but to have videos of your wedding day so you can relive that special day, and moments during the day is precious. When you're going into your wedding day and choosing a videographer, it can feel daunting - there's so many choices, so many portfolios to look at, and you just want to make sure that your special day is captured in a way that will make you feel the same way as you did on that day. What initially made us reach out to Kyle (owner) was that his videos made us emotional despite not knowing the families in the videos on his website. What sold us is that he was very into telling stories through his videos, and that is what we wanted. We didn't have strict requirements of what needed to be captured, we just wanted it to be emotional. On our wedding day, we had two of Kyle's team members - they were beyond amazing. You could see the passion they had for their art left and right - even pausing to show us some cool shots they got that made us just that more excited to see the finished video. Our finished product is impeccable. I am not someone that cries easily and within .01 seconds I was brought back to our wedding day, crying over the entire video. You really cannot go wrong by choosing Hit Maker Films. My advice if you pick them is to let them do their thing, listen to their direction, and you will wind up with a video that you will cherish for the rest of your life. We chose them because of their unique combination of modern cinematography that comes through from their commercial work, with timeless, genuine romance. When we were getting married, it was really important to my then-fiance (now husband) and I to have somebody capture our wedding through a unique lens, not the same old cheesy cinematography, and Kyle knocked it out of the park. It was his team's first multi-day Pakistani wedding but the way they took on this opportunity meant so much to us. ABOUT KYLE Kyle was very professional from the very beginning of discussing my plans with him, to filming on the day of my wedding all the way through editing. A few months before our wedding in Napa last summer I realized we would regret not having a videographer capture the day. After searching for someone both amazing AND available, I came across Kyle. Long story short- choosing Hit Maker Films was one of the best decisions we made during the entire wedding planning adventure. If you're on the fence right now? Go for it. I mean it. If you want a more thorough explanation read below :) A few specifics: - Kyle's price points and various packages provide an opportunity to really capture what you want. For example I didn't need the wedding prep or first look on video since we had our photographer there, so it worked perfectly that Kyle showed up at the venue ready to go. Whether it is certain angles (I knew I wanted some drone shots from above since the setting was gorgeous) or the type of film you want (playful or more traditional or instance)- he is flexible and wants to get you the video *you* desire. - I don't know how they did it but aside from a few minutes of shooting specific shots he needed, I couldn't even tell he was there! Later when I showed guests the awesome video they all asked "where was he? I don't even remember seeing him!" Unobtrusive, low key, and yet focused on getting the shots you ask for- which is pretty ideal. Lastly, turnaround time- there was no long delay. I don't remember specifics, however it seemed really quick. My mom was able to just download it on her phone and share it with her friends. This may seem trivial, but receiving the video when there is still the glow of the event was very special. He was also prompt, courteous, and honestly just a really cool guy. I was incredibly delighted by the finished product and SO GRATEFUL- I would have deeply regretted not spending the extra bit of money to have the decorations, family members, hugs, dancing, food and energy captured forever. I contacted Kyle for our recent Wedding at City Hall. Unfortunately, he was already booked, but recommended his associate videographer Eliot, and sent examples of his work.It was beautiful. I looked at a lot of clips from other videographers in the area. Kyle's work just seemed more real and organic. You really got the feel of the day, and that is what we wanted. Kyle was professional and prompt with communication. He had no problems answering questions. We booked with him and Elitot pretty quickly. I honestly viewed the portfolios of over 30 videographers in the SF bay area for our August 2014 wedding and Kyle/Hit Maker Films was the only one that stood out to me as timeless and genuine. Their style, vision, and quality of their videos really set themselves apart from other videographers (I watched a LOT of highlight videos during the search process). Other videographers had highlight videos where the bride/groom and/or wedding guests were "interviewed" which seems staged, awkward, and cheesy - gag. I'm also not a very touchy feel-y person so the fact that many of Kyle/Hit Maker Films made me cry was a sign they have special talent. ;) My fiancé now husband originally did not to spend the extra money on a videographer, but agreed that it was TOTALLY worth it. While we had an amazing photographer, there are some things that just cannot be captured in a photograph - such as people's voices and laughs. I absolutely love our highlight video, which captures all the best parts of our special day. The music we selected also fit in perfectly. Like other reviewers said - it is like a movie! A few of my husband's family members couldn't make it to the wedding and said they felt like they were there after watching our highlight video. Kyle and his team at Hit Maker Films are not only very talented, but easy to work with - they are professional, friendly, and punctual. I had a personal request on the final edit of our video and he was able to meet it with no questions asked. We absolutely loved working with Kyle as our videographer for our wedding! Since we were coming from out of town, I had talked to a few videographers over the phone and ultimately chose to go with Kyle since he made me feel the most comfortable over the phone. We touched base a few weeks before the wedding and went over the details of the day and our preferences for what we'd like our video to focus on (our wedding guests, etc). During the day of the wedding, he and his assistant videographer worked efficiently to get all the footage. They managed to capture everything we wanted but also was never in the way or made us redo anything just for the sake of getting the right footage. Everything was captured perfectly the first time in a genuine way. We received our wedding video after about 2 months, and it was absolutely perfect and everything we wanted.
