So I found Royal Entertainment from Yelp, it was the best decision I have ever made in my entire life. Day 1) called the number on Yelp page, introduced myself, got the quote , got familiar with franz, same price quote stayed until last minute, no hidden fee or anything strange. Where do I begin? Oh yeah.. Franz is THEE MAN! We had the pleasure of working with Franz for our engagement shoot and our wedding day. Both were seamless, but let's focus on the big day! Franz made us feel so comfortable from beginning to end while we worked with him. He is an excellent communicator and really knows his stuff! We had to postpone our wedding several times due to the pandemic and family illness; it wasn't until this year that we decided to go ahead and throw a party for our union! Weddings are typically the climax event of people's lives--high stress and ample planning, but with a great outcome. With that being said, when we booked Light & Shadow Studios, we were in for a treat. Photography and videography was one less thing we had to worry about. We had full confidence and trust in their work and knew they would deliver. They did just that and then some! Of course before booking them, we viewed their previous work and were enamored at the gorgeous photos and videos with brilliant story-telling. We had the pleasure of working with Franz (video) and Nick (photos). They took the time to met with us three times via Zoom to get to know us and to ensure we were always on the same page. We felt well taken care of. Firstly, they met with us to get to know us, our story, and to learn our vibe/expectations. You'd think this would be an awkward first encounter, but they were professional and approachable. We worked together to decide venues and the theme for our photos. They gave great suggestions and our engagement photos were more than we expected. My wife said that as long as she like 3 photos, she'll be happy. We wouldn't call ourselves photogenic or even natural models in front of a camera. Rather, we're both camera shy and awkward. Thanks to their personalities and professionalism, we were able to enjoy our shoot and thus our engagement photos and video came out amazing. They captured the simple yet classic photos we envisioned as well as our quirky and silly relationship. Post engagement shoot, we no longer only saw Franz and Nick as our vendors, but homies. From this point on, we continued to share suggestions and plans for our wedding. We met twice to solidify logistics (expectations, time line, and details), but they also checked up on us--our well being and our emotions before our wedding. How refreshing! On the day of the wedding, they were timely and met all expectations. They were filled with charisma and were able to get great shots and videos in the smallest and most simple of moments. To capture moments in the party bus, they joined us and hyped up our bridal party! They fit so seamlessly that we felt like they were part of our bridal party! They felt like they belonged and meshed well with everyone. We had a 16 person bridal party, well 22 including our junior bridesmaids and groomsmen. They were able to herd the cattle and take iconic photos! There were a few pictures we saw on Pinterest that we wanted to try to replicate that we mentioned to them at one of our meetings, and sure enough they were posing us for those shots without us reminding them. When looking at our wedding photos and the video, we were surprised at some of the shots. How were they everywhere and anywhere?! They were not only our well-trusted vendors on our most special day, but they were friends that we gladly welcomed at our wedding. I mean COME ON! The pictures speak for themselves, but Franz and RE really made the entire process so easy. We were quoting different photographers 9 months out from our wedding, and it was really hard to find someone with great quality and at a great price point, until we talked to Franz. From the beginning, Franz was professional, transparent, and detailed with the services he could provide and the hours he could it for. During our initial meeting, he got to know us as a couple and understand the vision we were going for, and also gave great recommendations for the day of. We hired Franz and Shiva to take pictures for the ceremony and the reception for a total of 8 hours, and they truly captured our day as we remember it, which was amazing. The day went by quick, so there were some photos that we couldn't get to on our photo list. However, we are so glad that they understood the assignment and got the quality shots that really mattered to us. We got married at a Catholic Church, and they were very respectful and knew which shots to take during mass. Our reception was at a golf course and golden hour photos were breathtaking. They're also great with guests which was a plus! Recommend them for ALL your photo needs. If the budget allowed us we definitely would've gone for video too lol.
