The team at Light & Shadow Studios truly gave us everything we'd wanted and more for our engagement and wedding shoots! My husband and I wanted a bit of a different vibe than the usual, traditional wedding. We wanted a dark, romantic aesthetic, but with a fun, chill vibe. Franz, Nick, and the team absolutely nailed the aesthetic and energy we were going for. They also made the process so easy, it was like working with friends. Every aspect, the photos, the videos, sneak peaks, previews... are incredible. We still hear about the amazing cinematography and moments captured from family and friends. Light & Shadow Studios... they're really something special. I'd highly recommend them over and over again. read more

As a wedding planner, I had the pleasure of working with Franz, Nick, and Shiva from Light and Shadows Studio for Moriah and Jun's August wedding at Villa & Vine. They captured the dreamiest footage and created such beautiful, heartfelt videos that truly reflected the couple and the atmosphere of the day. Their work is cinematic, emotional, and so thoughtfully edited. On top of their talent, the team was incredibly easy to work with, professional, kind, and so calming. They made Moriah and Jun feel completely comfortable in front of the camera, which made all the difference in capturing those genuine moments. I'd gladly work with them again in a heartbeat! xx, Koral & Ko. read more

So I found Royal Entertainment from Yelp, it was the best decision I have ever made in my entire life. Day 1) called the number on Yelp page, introduced myself, got the quote , got familiar with franz, same price quote stayed until last minute, no hidden fee or anything strange. Day 7) met him in person ,paid him The deposite, talked with him regarding the celebration we have. Day 85) 2 weeks to our party , the other half has been passed to franz , he made a folder for our big day. Wedding day) franz and his team member were on time, we shoot all the ideal pose that we talked during our orientation sessions. Working with franz is easy , he is super chill and text friendly, I added him in my Instagram page and he and I shared our thoughts and feeling regarding the pose and what is the ideal for me and hubby. Highly recommended I could not ask for a better option read more

Where do I begin? Oh yeah.. Franz is THEE MAN! We had the pleasure of working with Franz for our engagement shoot and our wedding day. Both were seamless, but let's focus on the big day! Franz made us feel so comfortable from beginning to end while we worked with him. He is an excellent communicator and really knows his stuff! He took the time to get to know us as a couple as we were able to get to know him. He heard us out for our wants and needs and was able to give us a loose schedule/timeline. I say loose, because it was a base to work with, so he was totally open to adjusting and moving things around if needed. Then the big day came! He was SO easy to work with while being professional yet totally fun! Definitely knows what he is doing! Basically all my family and friends HAD to have his socials to keep in touch with him for work to come. They all ranted and raved about how great he was, how nice he was, how fun he was and his working style! You could just tell he has a true passion for his work! The outcome!? UNBELIEVABLE! Me and my Husband were literally reliving our special day as we looked at our pictures! ZERO COMPLAINTS!!! Are we happy we chose RE and Franz? Most definitely. Would we recommend RE and Franz? Is that EVEN a question!?!?! Guys, don't walk.. RUN! Book RE for your next big event! Let them bring your special event to life and create memories to relive for a lifetime! Thank you RE and especially Franz for, not only an amazing experience, but to give us snapshot memories we will cherish forever! Y'all the real MVP! read more

We worked with Shiva from Light & Shadow Studios. Right from the start, Shiva was a warm soul and so kind, he became like a friend to us! We had to postpone our wedding several times due to the pandemic and family illness; it wasn't until this year that we decided to go ahead and throw a party for our union! Shiva was so understanding of our situation and assured us that he would take care of everything, making sure our love and day was captured in a special way. And oh boy, did he deliver! We are sooo happy with how the photos turned out. On the day of our party, Shiva was absolutely great. Amazing attention to detail- directing us- capturing candids- he made us feel comfortable and center of attention! He was also so culturally responsive and paid attention to some of the cultural activities we did, which was very important to us! All our friends also loved the vibes he brought with him! We can't thank him enough! We loved working with him! read more

Our photos and videos capture our personalities and love perfectly, and we are beyond happy. They both made us feel so comfortable and at ease, and helped us with posing and taking candids. They were so attentive, receptive, and helpful and ensured we were absolutely satisfied with all of our photos and videos. They did an absolutely amazing job, and we will cherish our photos and videos forever! They were also a ton of fun to work with, we had a blast getting to know them and even danced it up at our wedding together. I could not recommend them enough! read more

Me and my wife got married back in July and we could'nt be more happy with working with this group of people. Me and my wife took days doing research on who we should choose to do videography/photography, and once we found out about Light & Shadow studios, we knew they were the one. They were quick to respond and were very easy to work with from the start. They're very open, flexible, easy to communicate with, and super fun to work with! They would go the extra mile for you if it means getting that right "shot" and its worth it. Would highly recommend! read more

Franz was our engagement photographer & he was AMAZING! This was our very first photo shoot together & he made us feel welcomed & comfortable. He hyped us up every way possible & made sure every shot he did was perfect. He really captivated on our relationship in these photos & let us be our weird goofy selves around each other. He took the opportunity to squeeze us into his schedule knowing our wedding was around the corner due to our wedding photographer being on vacation & with the short notice, he sent our pictures back so quickly. We absolutely LOVED our photos & we couldn't have asked for a better experience. Thank you Royal Entertainment! read more

What can I say, our wedding photos came out so beautiful and amazing, despite it being a small and quaint ceremony. RE went OFF on our engagement photos.. and I am here for it!! If you want to cry waterfalls after your special day reminiscing on the memories, Royal Entertainment is for you. Photos are not my strong suit -- it's difficult for me to get in front of a camera & be comfortable in my own skin. But regardless, tell me why our photographer Franz was able to do me so much justice!! Words cannot explain my shock seeing the beautiful end product, and the story that the photos painted. Special shout-out to Franz & Royal Entertainment for capturing our special moment in the best ways possible. Don't miss out on the opportunity to work with a photographer with the experience & skill level of a professional!! 10/10 for the experience, 10/10 for the quality deliverables received. Weddings are typically the climax event of people's lives--high stress and ample planning, but with a great outcome. With that being said, when we booked Light & Shadow Studios, we were in for a treat. Photography and videography was one less thing we had to worry about. We had full confidence and trust in their work and knew they would deliver. They did just that and then some! Of course before booking them, we viewed their previous work and were enamored at the gorgeous photos and videos with brilliant story-telling. We had the pleasure of working with Franz (video) and Nick (photos). They took the time to met with us three times via Zoom to get to know us and to ensure we were always on the same page. We felt well taken care of. Firstly, they met with us to get to know us, our story, and to learn our vibe/expectations. You'd think this would be an awkward first encounter, but they were professional and approachable. We worked together to decide venues and the theme for our photos. They gave great suggestions and our engagement photos were more than we expected. My wife said that as long as she like 3 photos, she'll be happy. We wouldn't call ourselves photogenic or even natural models in front of a camera. Rather, we're both camera shy and awkward. Thanks to their personalities and professionalism, we were able to enjoy our shoot and thus our engagement photos and video came out amazing. They captured the simple yet classic photos we envisioned as well as our quirky and silly relationship. Post engagement shoot, we no longer only saw Franz and Nick as our vendors, but homies. From this point on, we continued to share suggestions and plans for our wedding. We met twice to solidify logistics (expectations, time line, and details), but they also checked up on us--our well being and our emotions before our wedding. How refreshing! On the day of the wedding, they were timely and met all expectations. They were filled with charisma and were able to get great shots and videos in the smallest and most simple of moments. To capture moments in the party bus, they joined us and hyped up our bridal party! They fit so seamlessly that we felt like they were part of our bridal party! They felt like they belonged and meshed well with everyone. We had a 16 person bridal party, well 22 including our junior bridesmaids and groomsmen. They were able to herd the cattle and take iconic photos! There were a few pictures we saw on Pinterest that we wanted to try to replicate that we mentioned to them at one of our meetings, and sure enough they were posing us for those shots without us reminding them. When looking at our wedding photos and the video, we were surprised at some of the shots. How were they everywhere and anywhere?! They were not only our well-trusted vendors on our most special day, but they were friends that we gladly welcomed at our wedding. Thank you Light & Shadow Studios for your art, creativity, professionalism, and relationship with us. Do yourself a favor and book them now! read more

I mean COME ON! The pictures speak for themselves, but Franz and RE really made the entire process so easy. We were quoting different photographers 9 months out from our wedding, and it was really hard to find someone with great quality and at a great price point, until we talked to Franz. From the beginning, Franz was professional, transparent, and detailed with the services he could provide and the hours he could it for. During our initial meeting, he got to know us as a couple and understand the vision we were going for, and also gave great recommendations for the day of. We hired Franz and Shiva to take pictures for the ceremony and the reception for a total of 8 hours, and they truly captured our day as we remember it, which was amazing. The day went by quick, so there were some photos that we couldn't get to on our photo list. However, we are so glad that they understood the assignment and got the quality shots that really mattered to us. We got married at a Catholic Church, and they were very respectful and knew which shots to take during mass. Our reception was at a golf course and golden hour photos were breathtaking. They're also great with guests which was a plus! Recommend them for ALL your photo needs. If the budget allowed us we definitely would've gone for video too lol. We had Franz take our engagement photos, and they turned out AMAZING! I did quite a bit of research looking for a good photographer that had the style I wanted, as well as a very reasonable rate. I saw that Royal Entertainment had all raving reviews which made me reach out, and I'm so glad I did. I sent Franz inspo photos beforehand and he definitely did his homework and made sure to capture exactly what I was looking for. I was blown out of the water when I saw the photos- they looked even better than my inspo photos! He was also fun to take direction from, and just overall an enjoyable person to talk with. Thank you for everything, Franz! Will definitely recommend you to everyone I know! read more

BEST VIDEOGRAPHER EVER. When my husband and I were in search of a videographer for our wedding, as we watched numerous wedding videos to find our style. Franz's work definitely stood out to us, as we felt that his style matched ours. On our wedding day, Franz and Shiva made us feel so comfortable behind the lens, from telling us how to pose, making us laugh, and basically providing all the positive vibes. When Franz showed us the preview to our wedding video, I literally could not stop watching it, as I replayed it literally over 20 times in one day. I already knew that our wedding video was going to be soo perfect and we were right! Franz and his team exceeded our expectations! What we reallly loved about it was the story that Franz and his team created, it is so amazing that they were able to capture our whole wedding within 9 minutes. We would highly highly recommended you guys to hire them as your videographer! You will not be disappointed. Love, The Shibas read more

Franz and Nick are amazing!!!! Take my word and book them now! Seriously, you don't need to think twice. It was the best coincidence ever to stumble upon their profile on Yelp. No one could have captured my vision for the pre wedding shoot better than them. They are so talented and really stand by their tagline: "Dream it, Wish it, We do it." I mean they really really stand by it. They are so organised, patient, polite, responsive, flexible, fun and easy to work with! Making you feel comfortable is their first priority. No matter how socially awkward you are, they make make you look so natural and effortless. We had an elaborate vision for the pre wedding shoot that we wanted to create with multiple locations and outfits which was pretty complex in our head. These guys really made our complex elaborate beautiful vision come true and even more in such a gorgeous way like it was nothing. These guys sat down with us to understand what we wanted, incorporated every single detail. And on the day of shoot they made the whole end to end process easy and smooth as hell. The final video and photos are just BEAUTIFUL!!! They created exactly what we wanted. Every single detail that we discussed is reflecting in the final products that they delivered. I don't even have a single thing that I want to change in the video and photos because they have delivered BEYOND PERFECTION. We are just so glad that we chose Royal Entertainments for capturing our love story. It was the best decision ever. Franz is an exceptional photographer in many different aspects. The photos he captured for me were all executed perfectly. From the beginning, he listened to what I wanted and how I wanted my images to turn out and did much better. He made me feel very comfortable during the shoot, helping us relax to where each image looks so effortless due to him communicating with us on how to pose, what to say to each other, tips on how to loosen up, and allowing us to be ourselves. Along with the location, he helped us navigate towards the areas for the best lighting just by scouting the area and having a vision in his mind. You are able to see what talent Franz truly has through all his work. I always recommend Franz to capture any perfect moments for my family and friends. read more

Franz from Royal Entertainment really went above and beyond. I was officiating my brothers wedding. The wedding was at a lake that requires a two mile hike up a mountain, with no clear path, all mountain structure, and we only had a small group with us. He also did really well creating captivating moments with only the nature and natural lighting we had surrounding us. Franz, Shiva, and Nick were a pleasure to work with. Extremely talented at their craft not only with their photography skills but the way they took control and directed everyone's poses and positions. Trying to organize a group of 40-50 people in 30 minutes after a wedding ceremony while everyone is excited and loud is no easy task - I could tell they have been doing this for a long time. They also drove across the bridge in rainy weather, spotted out a beautiful location at a park near the reception and got some amazing pictures with the redwoods and rain. They immersed themselves so naturally into the party that they didn't look like they were there only for business but having fun and enjoying themselves at the same time while taking their photos which made them popular very quickly. Royal Entertainment went above what was expected and exceeded expectations. Choose them for unmatched talent but also the calming, fun, and professional demeanor that they bring along with them which adds an element to your celebration that you won't forget. read more
