I just don't think there are quite words to describe Eric, his work and his business. First and for most communication was a very important thing to me when I was hiring my vendors for my wedding. I had seen Eric's work through a friend of mine and knew I wanted to talk to him. He was so easy to get a hold of, and when he was busy, he would let me know when he would get back to me and followed up. This was rare and hugely appreciated. Let me start by saying you will regret not choosing Eric as your photographer! Go to his website and browse through his blogs of weddings he has shot and his portfolio and you will know why he is the best. Eric was our photographer from the start. We went to the Alameda Count Fair as a couple (not even engaged yet) and took amazing photos that we ended up using for our engagement photos about 6 months later. The fair was his idea and we were skeptical, but turned out amazing and was so creative. We had so much fun! Before we set our date, we called Eric to see to make sure he was available. He was incredibly accommodating. From day 1 of planning, he was involved. I created a pinterest page with wedding photo ideas that he took into consideration and also sent me a few of his ideas that I loved. Eric will listen to your suggestions and not ignore your vision. He went out of his way to meet us at our venue to get photo ideas that were specific to the area and found the most amazing scenic landscapes in the Presidio in San Francisco that was not only tucked into the Cyprus trees, but overlooked the Golden Gate Bridge. The day of the wedding, we took some boudoir shots for my husband and he was incredibly professional and I felt comfortable (which I wasn't sure how I would feel). So happy with the classy picture ideas he took. The only thing I would recommend is to not do this the day of your wedding, there is enough going on already, but still happy I decided to do it! His eye for use of light and creativity cannot be learned, he is inherently made for photography and will wow you like he has done for my husband and me. Our pictures are breathtaking. First of all, this review is literally a year delayed as today is our one year wedding anniversary. Eric, please forgive me, I have been writing this review in my head since our engagement session! Eric & his second shooter were amazing! I feel awful I can't remember his second shooter's name but he stayed with my husband most of the time. The photos were beautiful and elegant and he took what we requested into consideration. We've gotten so many compliments and many future brides at my wedding requested his info. I was referred to Eric by a friend of mine who is a landscape travel photographer. I didn't want your typical posed wedding photos. I have always loved photography and have a true appreciation of the art. I wanted someone with a more artistic eye and approach. A little slow to review, but long story short Eric is the bomb. Wedding planning can be stressful, but to me, it should be fun and capture the best memories thereafter. From day one he took time to really understand what we were trying to capture and he did it perfectly. Also, let's be honest, after the wedding the photos are some of the most important things that last so make it count. Skills that I believe sets Eric a part is his great background in landscapes and modeling. It's the perfect storm! What I mean by that is he really grasps all the environments around him. Other wedding photographers are just that, they just do weddings and don't have a holistic way of viewing the setting. Eric really surveys the surrounding area and puts in the time to make you feel that every cent he charges is/was worth it. He can be as hands on or hands off as needed, but always was very responsive for any question we had. I would give Eric 10 stars if it was an option. We were blessed to meet Eric through a friend and see family pics he had taken of them. It was without hesitation when I became engaged that we hired him to take our engagement photo's as well as our Destination Wedding pics!! Eric traveled with us to Mexico for 5 days and he captured so much more than pictures!! It has been a year and a half and we cherish the laughter, the fun and the sheer joy that was captured forever with our closest friends. Eric was amazing! I've seen only my "sneak peek" so far (just got married 2 weeks ago) but they are amazing! I wasn't worried about the photos because I'd seen his excellent portfolio. But he was incredible to work with. Clear, responsive, communicative, and just easy to get along with. We recently got married and Eric did both our engagement photos and wedding photos and both turned out amazing! Overall we had a great experience with Eric. The photos for both the engagement and wedding turned out fabulous and Eric is so flexible and worked with us. I had some requests around specific photos, style, and locations and Eric worked with me on all of them. Even when we were taking the photos after the wedding, I was feeling a bit overwhelmed (big wedding) and he let me take a breath and was so relaxing to work with. Later in the day, I was stressing out (again), I wanted to rush through the photos and he knew when to push and made sure we took the photos I had previously requested. Overall, if I had to do it again, I would hire Eric every time and always suggest him to friends. I am sure we will work together in the future for other photo shoots we will hopefully need!
