The manager, Crystal, did my wax and not only left wax all over me, but she left the wax strips on the table that I laid on for me to see when I got up. It was disgusting. She missed some hair also ,and when she brought me back to the table to clean it up she applied alcohol to my open pores. My entire body was on fire. I don't know if she did that to me on purpose of it was her ignorance. Nevertheless, a manager should know better. The music was R&B and hip hop, the cleanliness was poor, and when I spoke to the owner regarding my poor experience she seemed empathetic but annoyed all in one and didn't offer any complimentary services for what I had endured. I'm honestly traumatized from it all, I cringe when I pass by that shopping center. Ladies, love yourself enough to spend what you need to pay, b/c you'll end up paying more in peace of mind and experience.

My second appointment was hard for me as a former stylist, while I processed for an hour(under heat, which I know better than) not once did Rhonda check in me or my hair. There were two of us and we were seated in a chair to soak pretty fast but then I waiting about 45 minutes for my turn. They need more nail techs. Then the place got packed. Kids screaming. Owner screaming at his kids. A young customer in a back room was having her eye brows waxed or colored or something and she starts crying loudly that her eyes are burning. She finally walks out with little bandages around her eyes and one of the other customers tells them she needs to go to a hospital. Personally my pedicure was not bad. Even with 3 people soaking and waiting he took his time and his massage was fabulous . Hopefully they use sterilized tools. The place needed sweeping and cleaning. I will update this review if my feet catch anything. In general this place is super scary and we will be looking for a different pedicure place. Will not recommend coming back...but going to make for a great adventure story.

Stephanie is also just has a really great vibe and I truly enjoyed being in her chair and chatting with her. Thank you so much, Stephanie!

I wish I would have realized that the stylists here are very, very old school. Perms and beehives are their calling. I just got a trim and left. No one there seems to know the latest in hair color, hair styles, etc. The shampoo bowl room leaves a lot to be desired. Coming from the city, I am not used to hair being done in a dark cave. It was super uncomfortable temperature wise as well. I don't want to name the older lady who cut my hair; I'm not trying to hurt her feelings. Overall, I think they must cut their family and locals hair and somehow keep this junky place afloat. This is a big no if you are looking for modern, currently educated hairstylists.

It's a small and simple salon, nothing super flashy. Would be easy to drive by and overlook it. They're right next store to the fire station. They do eyebrows as well so make sure to book that when you come. They will take walk-ins when they can but I recommend calling since they can be booked up. When you come, try to swing by "Dawn's sweets" a few doors down for some delicious baked goods. There's also a really awesome snowball stand across the street "Mrs. V's" that stays open until 7pm some days. AND Jackson Park right up the street with a splash pad for kids. Grab a quick bite at subway across the street or Sammy's Grill around the corner.
