I was doing my own hair, pretty much keeping up with my roots until I could find someone. No big deal, but I'd rather pay a professional. I was recommended to Hello Gorgeous and called to see if I could get in. The stylist I wanted was booked solid so she recommended me to Kristin. Fast forward to the day of my appointment. I am a blonde, by choice, but have naturally mousy brown/dirty blonde hair, and it's long... like to my bra strap long. I take good care of my hair and spend 5 years growing it long, but it can easily get fried and I was very up front about this with Kristin. I told her that I like highlights but she needed to be careful and I could not go platinum blonde at all. My hair would just break off. She seemed to listen and was pretty positive that she could do what I wanted and so began our journey. The light my first hair appointment she never faced me toward the mirror which I though was odd, but I know every stylist is different. I could see her using bleach and I assumed she was just updating my roots and maybe adding a few highlights. She was very confident and made me feel very at ease and comfortable throughout the few hours of work she out in on my hair. Then the reveal... IT WAS PLATINUM! I was immediately worried. I had literally told her before we started that my hair could not handle platinum blonde! She didn't listen, but it looked beautiful and so I tried to be happy with it and cross my fingers that it wasn't fried. So, I naturally didn't wash my hair for 2 days after my appointment and right off the bat I could see a little breakage when I styled it in the mornings. Then, I washed it. Please note that I use high end products for damaged hair and deep conditioning items, etc. Well, my hair immediately broke off. By the time I went to dry it, I was missing a lot of the sides. As I brushed it gently, it continued to melt off my head. I tried not to panic, got through it and did the best I could to curl it and make it look ok. That night I went to sleep and woke up with hair on my pillow and a mullet. A LITERAL MULLET! All of the side of my hair was mostly gone except for a few strands and the back was choppy with a long bottom. Y'all, it was terrible! Within a week or so of steadily loosing my hair and having to pin it back I reached out to Kristin and told her my dilemma. We decided to order extensions to try and fix it. It wasn't fixable. She was super helpful and gave me her time for free at first, but then she got DONE with the situation after a few months of extension maintenance and just simply started to be rude to me. One time she was washing my hair and the water was splashing on my face and I told her what was happening so she THREW a towel on my face. I knew at that moment I was done with her. I got through that appointment and never went back. Since then, I found an amazing stylist who is helping me grow my hair back and not over bleaching it! It's been almost 2 years since Kristin burnt my hair off and it almost shoulder length and I have just a few tape in until the front is long enough to do something with. I will NEVER recommend this place to anyone. This is a warning to be super careful about who touches your hair.

When she went over there to ask for her money back, they called her a liar and refused to refund her money. Then we went over theretogether and told them that she was very upset and wanted her money back. Kristi was the rudest person I have ever met and claimed that she had no reason to give her money back and continually called my friend a liar. Eventually my friend did get her money back for the shotty dye job, but a few minutes after that I received a call at my place of employment asking to speak to the manager. They were actually trying to complain to my boss about "causing a scene". Well the whole situation could have been avoided if they had done what was right and refunded her money and apologized. Calling someone at work the threaten them is pathetic.

My 85-year-old grandma joined me for what was likely her first visit to a nail salon in nearly 20 years. She has dementia, which made sharing this sweet moment together even more meaningful. The staff treated her with such kindness and care, checking often to make sure she was comfortable. When she got cold, one of the thoughtful employees brought her a blanket. Even after her nails were finished, they continued checking on her and making sure she felt cared for. Those small gestures meant so much to both of us. Seeing my grandma treated with such patience, compassion, and dignity touched my heart and made this an experience I'll always treasure. Thank you, Lux Nails Spa, for making my grandma feel so special. I'm truly grateful for the care you showed her and for giving us such a beautiful memory together.

Yesterday was my 2nd time going to this nail shop. First time I was a walking dat an hour to only…read morehave half my services performed. One tech started then left to work in another customer. Another hour later I was still waiting so I paid for the partial service. This past Saturday I had a 9am appointment for a regular manicure and pedicure . I sat for 45 minutes before being placed in the pedicure chair. I sat 30 minutes before the tech started my pedicure. Once my pedicure was done I sat 30 more minutes for another tech to do my manicure. The owner Kim gave her a cuticle remover to use and stated how good it was. After she applied it to 1 finder I asked why she do the same for other she stated that was the only that needed it. I asked her if that was the only finger she was going to cut the cuticle on. She pretended not to understand. During my pedicure she stopped several times to talk with another tech and kept getting up to go tend to other customers. Once we got to the polish stage I noticed the color was not the same as what was in my fingers and being able to see the significant difference in color she argues it was the same. I got up and found the color myself and all she could say was "oh sorry". My gel polish is too thick on both my fingers and toes. The gel polish on 2 of my fingers is already cracked and peeling less than 24 hours later. The young teenage girl that works on Saturday's is managing the phones, customers as they come in replacing towels at stations etc. She even performed services on customers and I'm more than confident that she is NOT licensed. The customer inquired about the same and she said "I sometimes do this to help". Many of the staff don't seem to be licensed based on my Lin history of getting my nails done. This place is a cosmetology licensing board nightmare. I can only image all the fines and fees this place would receive if they were inspected. I tried to give them a 2nd chance but 3 hrs 15 minutes for a basic mani and pedi is unacceptable. I DO NOT recommend this place unless you don't care about your services being performed my licensed professionals and you have unlimited amount of time to waste waiting.
